Let’s start off with the condescending attitudes, lack of knowledge of their jobs and no known customer service skills. You will never see anybody actually doing their job but will see them giving you a hard time. Only dealing with them because my job deals with them but trust I try everyday to change that smh 1 star is 3 stars too many

I agree with the post before mine, the attitude of the guy at the counter was pitiful. No customer service ability whatsoever. He was arguing on a personal phone call when I got there and it carried over to my visit. He said he was the manager of the department and if he is they’re going to lose a lot of business. I left without getting my work done bc I don’t trust them to do it right.

My car was towed to pep boys on Monday Nov. 23 due to not starting. Pep boys diagnosed my vehicle and said it was the starter causing my car not to turn on. Two days later they said it wasn’t the starter and it was the engine. They also stated that they cannot fix the engine. They are making me responsible in paying for the car parts that they replace which wasn’t the problem. The the car parts was over $200. My concern is when it was diagnosed how come they didn’t know it was the engine at that time. Pep boys charges $89 to diagnose any car.I feel like I should not be responsible to pay for something that was not fixed.Business/corporate robbery!

Just updating this (4/25/2018) : Again returned for a wheel alignment. I appreciate the honesty of, we cant get to it today so leaving my car there the following morning to pick up later in the day was a great option to have. I had no false expectations because of their straightforwardness.Just had a wheel alignment done on my 2007 Toyota and the entire transaction was with this guy! He was polite and soft spoken - no patronizing in sight. Very professional and upfront about the shops capacity to get the work done in a timely manner. Would gladly return - good leadership

I definitely miss the previous management and staff. These new staff members are not nearly as friendly. Ive been bringing my cars here for routine maintenance for years and the last 2 encounters, they act as if you are bothering them! I will have to look for another location going forward.

This is primarily about the great service from Wilson and the service department. They are one of the few I trust to touching our vehicles. They have done a lot of work for us in the past to keep an older vehicle running and with a multitude of repairs, none of them were related to the other. They know how to fix it the first time, but I also equate this to being able to describe to them what it is acting like and they listen and ask questions. They are great at looking at additional savings prior and after the repair. The service department handles the tire inventory not the parts department. The service department went above and beyond to find tires for me that were on sale and I had them in a very reasonable time period with excellent communication on what was going on with them including a suggested time period for an appointment. The parts department has sadly gone down hill that is completely separate from service. I have made several parts orders on line that were all over $200.00 so I could get the online discount and when I picked up the parts that had been pulled, I still paid full retail, I was told they could not honor it. I called to speak to the parts manger who not only did not answer the phone using his name (which means to me they do not take pride in their work) but sounded grumpy and angry. Any way, I was told I probably made a mistake and when I showed him the original orders I was not given any credit to the parts I ordered. $49.00 may not be a lot to Parts at Pep Boys but for someone who spent several thousands in the past few years youd think Parts Department would give you what your owed. So I highly recommend the Service department but beware the Parts Department on line ordering and not supporting the online prices given even if you print it and show it to them.

Short staffed, the inventory records are usually extremely inaccurate (for instance there will be times when calling to ask about a part Im told, oh yeah we have like 10, only to head over to see that they dont have any), and their new computerized system is a disaster when being rung up. The staff are nice and you can tell that theyre burnt out.

This Pepboys is great! I came in without an appointment and was greeted immediately by Dan. He was super nice and was very straightforward with answers for various questions I had. There was also another gentleman there that was also very informative, Chris I believe his name was and also a Jeremy. They were quick with answers and were very energetic about there job. All 3 of them are some very funny characters and made the wait so quick. I have no complaints at all and definitely will be coming back. They have gained a customer for life!

If you have your own parts this place will still charge you as if you don’t have your own parts. They will charge for labor and part all in one. Ex. I called and spoke to one of the auto and repair maintenance men and was given a reasonable price, then when I show up to place they give me a different price smh this place is a rip off in this location at least.

Went in for battery replacement. Service adviser didn’t realize about the prorated warranty and wanted to charge full price for new one. After leaving vehicle there for 4 hours I called to see if it was ready, it wasn’t and I also found out they were going to put in wrong size. They then said they would get the correct size and it would be ready in about 1-1/2 more hours. After more than 6 hours, I went to pick up my vehicle with same old battery. Enough poor service from this location.

It might be hard to imagine but this is one of the nicest Retail experiences I have had all year of the people here were extremely nice and very knowledgeable and very helpful. I came here for a tire change and left with hiking recommendations, cleaning stuff to get the dog hair out of the car, and a new tire (which they had in stock). Excellent staff!

Went in for a simple oil change on a 4-year-old car. Was told it would take an hour. Ended up being 3. At the end, they insisted my battery was dead and would need a replacement right there, other wise I would need a jump next time it started. What an insane coincidence. Never go here.

Depending on what you are here for, its amazing or ok.While prices arent the best, they are good. But variety is tremendous, hard to match.Employees are friendly, and the store is clean enough. Just feels very unorganized, mostly by the entrance, but I like how they put cleaning products everywhere.Not sure about their service.

I shopped around and Pep Boys always has the best price the man who usually works on my car Jamie he tells me how it is I have a 1998 Mercury Marquis and he keeps it running well this would be the only place I would take my car to get fixed.

Liars. Very Dishonest. Cant perform a simple oil change.Got an oil change and the oil filter wasnt on tight enough. Found out after I drove to Florida and noticed a puddle of oil forming under my car one day. Thank god I noticed it and found what it was they almost cost me my car. Screw this place. Ive reached out to customer service and corporate and got nowhere.

Went to this store for what I thought was a wheel alignment and ended getting bamboozeled by the store manager. After Wilson informed me that I did not need a wheel alignment and only needed 2 rear tires, he attempted to charge me for the alignment anyway totalling $380. When expressing to him that i was not prepared to spend that amount, he continued to PUSH me into taking out a pep boys credit card ( which I explained to him an hour earlier that I did not want). I asked him why I was being charged for an alignment if I did not need it, he responded by saying he was charging me for his evaluation. I then asked him if this was a diagnostic fee and he said yes...however, his only evaluation/diagnostic test was by him driving my car and feeling that I did not need an aligment..his words. At this point I requested to see my tires. My rear tire was bad, the other one was fine. I asked him why was he charging me for 2 tires if I need only one, he stated that people buy tires in twos. Well Mr. Wilson I only buy tires that I need. I ended up buying the only 1 tire that I needed and being charged for balancing my front tires which I did not give him permission to do but he did anyway. He is a slick double talker. I will never return to this store. Women beware!!!

Worst company to get car work done. I came in to get a rear brake job,sway bar link and car alignment. After job job car worst sounding 10x worst and alignment terrible. I mention it right away and they said that there no way to find out until noise gets worst or we should replace shocks. I went to another mechanic shop and the sway bar link was extremely lose not tighten and alignment was off by alot. The mechanic also mention front brakes are good and most likely rear brakes did not need to be replace. Pepboys charge me over 450 dollar worth of work for no reason. Please do not ever go to pepboys looking for a mechanic. Worst mistake I did, they will just find any reason to charge you alot.

This Pep Boys has terrible customer service, and literally tried to scam me out of 800$. I brought my car there because my engine light came on, so I plugged in my diagnostic and it read engine coil. Brought my car in on a Monday, promised it would be ready no later than Wednesday. By Thursday morning, they still didnt even pull my car in. Then, they run their own diagnostic and report two other issues that need to be repaired and will be a total of 800$. I called other mechanics in the area for quotes and they were all quoting me half of that amount. Ended up driving farther to my family mechanic who only charged me $180 TOTAL FOR LABOR AND ENTIRE REPAIR, who also reported that there were no other issues aside from the engine coil. Dishonesty is not right, scamming people is not right. Left a really bad taste in my mouth and I will NEVER return to Pep Boys, not even for an oil change. Really is a ashame.

I was there last Sunday to buy tires that were listed on there website. When I inquired with the counter person; he said the size I wanted werent avail., and he cant get them. He offered me some cooper tires that were over $150 more $ than the ones I wanted, I declined the sale and left. I went on there website later that evening and ordered the tires online as advertised; and picked them up this week. The same person I dealt with at the counter was the same person who helped me when I went to pick them up. I mentioned to him that I was there earlier that week and these were the tires he couldnt get. He had temporary amnesia and pretended he didnt hear me, he handed the paperwork off to a fellow employee, who wrung me up for the sale.

This place is horrible. Everytime I come here I have an issue. I came in to fix a flat and they led me to believe I needed a new tire. When I came to get my car and noticed they were charging me for 2 repairs I noticed they worked on both back tires. They had fixed the tire I came in for and then replaced the other tire. I was not having a problem with the other tire and am very annoyed because I was misled and have been waiting for 2 and a half hours. Now they are changing the tire I was not having a problem with back to my original tire. A complete waste of my precious time.

Please do not go here.. I came in to get my window put back on track and they told me my motor was dead and it would cost me $400. I asked them if they could just pull the window up because its freezing outside and I couldnt just leave my window up for anyone to get into and they told me it would cost me just the same. I told them I couldnt afford that right now because I was going to get my struts done that week which was costing me $500 already. They said they couldnt do anything for me. I went to my dads house that night and he had the window back up in about an hour. I went to my mechanic two days later and he told me it would cost me $150!! I hate when people take advantage of me. Not only because its pepboys (so you know theyll charge more) but also because I feel like it was because I am a female. The way he talked to me made me feel like I didnt know anything and that I was dumb enough to pay that $400. So thank you pep Boys for charging me $50 for nothing.

I made my appt for 10am for the next morning 4 an oil change. I came in and they were really nice. They told me park my car in their parking lot in any spot. I waited for about 1 hour and it was done. The guy gave me a 10% discount cuz my car was done 10 mins eearlier but he got caught up in another customers paper work. I thought that was really honest for him 2 tell me nd make up 4 it. All in all I was very pleased and will definitely be back for another oil change when its time! Thanks Pep Boys!!

This Pepboys service department is the BEST and so is the service manager Wilson. I took my car to Mavis Delran to get my rims and tire changed and this Jokers broke all 4 of my tpms sensors ending up costing me $700 to get it fix from the dealership off course it was there lost and they paid me back. I decided to try this Pepboys in cinnaminson and they got the job done for less and right first time. They took there time to get the job done right and the service manager Wilson makes you feel extremely comfortable leaving your car there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.. A+++ my opinion and Ill be definitely going back there with all of my family and buddies for all our car service needs.

Jeff and his staff are not qualified they can only tell you part numbers they dont have the training to tell you that you need other equipment for instance I bought led tail lights bulbs and blow my fuses so I find out from advanced auto parts you need load resistor bulbs so I dont blow my fuses well I go back to pepboys and JEFF tells me I should of paid them to put tail light bulbs in and wouldnt even have his mechanics look at it said I have to pay them to look but they didnt even no I needed load resistor, then he tells me Im lucky hes given me my money back, so I went back to advanced auto parts and they found the fuse and replaced them no charge thanks advance auto parts !! I no where I be getting my parts from now on !!!! If I could of left a zero for the star I would have,

My dad purchased a car battery online, went through with the payment and even printed the confirmation page. I went to the store to pick it up for my dad, with the printed payment confirmation, and was told it wasn’t paid for yet and that they needed me to swipe the card still. I had to drive all the way home to get the card and then drive back. No where online or on the printed confirmation does it say that the card is necessary for pick up. And the more upsetting part is that the employees there, Clarence and Dachota, were very rude and pretty much laughed in my face because I had to drive home and back. Their attitude was “sucks to be you.” And when I returned to the store Dachota showed up to the register eating out of a huge bag of chips which just showed how little she cares about seeming professional in front of customers. Never did they apologize for the inconvenience or anything like that.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. i came in on time and they had me wait for 1 HOUR and 30 MINUTES. While i was in line to get my oil change started, i overheard the customer in front of me doing a walk-in oil change. As i was waiting in the waiting room, one of the employee had called that person that did a walk-in to tell him that his car was all done... These people dont understand why customers schedule an appointment. I did not schedule an appointment for my car to be worked on AFTER a customer that requested a WALK-IN oil change. That incident had me late for a meeting.

My truck was making a noise that came and went so I wasnt sure if it was the brakes, suspension, u-joints or something worse. To top it off, I just became a first time father and my wallet is practically empty. When I dropped my truck off, I honestly did not expect the kind of service I received. First, Wilson (customer service) called me to come in and look at what was causing the problem. The mechanic (Cliff) showed me the failed parts ( brakes) and gave me several options that fit my budget. Second, they went out of their way to discount parts and labor plus threw in a free tire rotation, plus they have a military discount. Last but not least when I picked up my truck the noise was gone and my budget was in tact. Thank you Pep Boys. You have my future business and recommendation to anyone who may need your services.

So another Pepboys story. Went to get an oil change. They couldnt do it today. Decided to by wiper blades, air filter, and touch up paint. They couldnt look up filter or paint? Stood at empty counter for 10 minutes with blades. No cashier!! Left blades on counter and walked out pissed. Ill take my business elsewhere. Got blades at Advanced Auto. Immediate service. Got oil change at Valvoline. Immediate service and only 10 minutes to complete.Also with my last fiasco at Pepboys they gave me a dicounted quote for tires when I need them. Looked them up elsewhere and 3 places had them 80 to 100 dollars cheaper than the discounted quote.So FU Pepboys. You have lost my business!
