They have a great selection of books. The store is quiet and clean. Its a very relaxing environment. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the staff. There was a women at the counter in the center of the store. She was scrolling on her cell phone. I asked her where I should check out. She didnt even lift her head up from her phone and said, Upfront. When I walked upfront, no one was at the register. I didnt have to wait too long before help came. The girl was very friendly but when I asked for a bag for my books, she said they had ran out, and that I could purchase a reusable bag.

Friendly staff very helpful. I was about to buy a book that was out of sequence and the staff put me on to the beginning of the series. I was very thankful for that

Barnes & Noble is as much an experience as it is a store, Ive always enjoyed meandering through bookstores and B&N is top notch. Very clean, tidy with helpful employees. They lose 1 star for books being a bit hard to locate in the current organization system. Sections sit right against each other with no delineation between them besides an abrupt change in Alphabetical order.....

One of the best Barnes and Nobles In Sacramento Area, the Drive isnt the best to get to, but its clean, Open, and the Starbucks inside is almost like going to a Starbucks inside a mall, if you need anything from barnes and Noble thats not at the Arden one, check the website to see if this one has it.

This location has a great layout. I have always loved Barns and Noble and hope they will always maintain their brick & mortar stores, going there is quite the experience. PS/they carry LEGOS now so bring the kids...

I love me the book stores that became popular in the 90s where you were welcome to sit drink coffee and skim a book to decide if you wanted to purchase it. With B. Dalton & Borders all gone, those of us not near a trendy boutique book store really only have Barns & Noble left for this casual feeling. This B&N, while not a boutique book nook, is a good substitute until you can find one to spend the day in.

They are great here! Always happy to help us order what we need and are amazing with good recommendations.

Pretty good selection of magazines but dont want to pay for a loyalty card to get a discount on magazines when the local grocery store discounts them 10% everyday.

I was in this store today and watched an anti-making customer harass an employee who is never anything but nice to me when I come in. I wanted to write this review because everybody including the manager and the employee who was being yelled at for no reason handled this situation with grace and much more patience than I would have had. I heard the customer yell that they were going to write a bad review, so Im trying to beat them to the punch. Amy, the employee who was getting yelled at, is one of my favorite workers here and was phenomenal in this situation!

All were very helpful in finding different books I requested. Very nice and welcoming... a real pleasure to shop here!!!

Nice place, friendly staff, good location, surprisingly more manga than I expected. (more than an A1 Comic Book Shop would have but not as much as a place in Manhattan New York for example where they have an entire floor of a book store dedicated to manga.)

I went into the Starbucks and there was an entrance to Barnes & Noble there. I have not wandered though a bookstore in ages, 40 years to be exact. There is just something about holding the book, breathing in the aroma of fresh ink and paper, skimming through it before you buy it. You cannot get that with Amazon!

My kids always love coming here to check out what they have and play with the train station when they were younger. Cant beat that Starbucks is in the same area.

I used to go here almost everyday as a teen since it was right across from the mall. It really hasnt changed. Its clean, friendly, large aisles and so so many books for any and every interest. Need a book for you weird cousin, how bout for you best friends niece, maybe you just joined a book club out of boredom. Whatever the reason this Barnes and noble has it covered.

Its kinda sad going here during the covid-19 outbreak. Its too empty. But also its 2021 so I dont know how long a book store can really last with all the digital media. Still smells the same in here. Still pleasant service.

AWESOME STAFF! Every employee I have ever had the pleasure of assisting me has always gone above and beyond. Either by finding me exactly what I need with me usually giving some misguided Title or a less than helpful reference. Or they refer something that will fulfill my needs that is cheaper and/or better. Cant say enough awesome things about the employees at this location! Oh and an amazing selection of books trinkets and well just rad s#!+! A MOST EXCELLENT STAFF FOR SURE THOUGH!!

Such a fun store to visit. Barnes has a very wide selection of books to look at, anyone could easily spend hours in there. Its also very clean and has nice workers greeting you. Theres always a fun section for the kids too. Overall a great place! Definitely worth visiting if youve never been there before.

What bookworm doesnt love B&N? It us a different experience like every thing else. They didnt get five stars because while they have great customer service there is no seating allowed anywhere anymore. For me its just ad easy to shop on line if I cant sit for a bit to decide which book Im taking home. Coffee shop was also closed.

I truly appreciate Barnes & Nobles order online, pick up in store service. I wanted a signed book to give as a Christmas present. I planned to go to the store first thing the morning it went on sale,....but company showed up early and changed all my plans. I was able to order the book online and pick the book up after they left! Thank goodness I ordered it, because they were out of the signed books by the time I got there!The store is clean, organized and well stocked! The staff is so helpful!!!

This is my go-to Barnes & Noble. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They also consistently have a good selection of books to choose from whenever I go. And if they dont they can easily order it for me and have it delivered to the store within a few days.

I like selection of books and crafts but its a little over priced. I always try and buy books here. The books are usually reasonably priced but notebooks and other thing cost more than I think they should.

I didnt realize what a cool place this is. Stopped in for a book on my daughters Christmas list and left with lots of great stuff I couldnt have found anywhere else. Not just books but toys, movies, vinyl records, and other fun stuff. I will go back for sure. The staff was so helpful even though it was right before Christmas and the phones were ringing off the hook.

What an amazing place. If you havent ever been here, you are missing out. So much more than just books. From music to collectibles. So many toys and games! Incredible stuff. I have always been happy with the service and inventory of books, magazines, movies, games and all other things they carry that I have forgotten, sorry. I love having my account at Barnes and Noble and participating in it to help me save money on items. Recently, my Wife and I bought a good number of books and saved $50.00; I will take fifty bucks any day. I always find something great when I go here.. If they dont have a book I want they order it. I love that there is a Starbucks here as I like to sip and browse... They have a great little game section that I find cute stuff for me and my disabled Son. They are very helpful too... Finding the books Im missing in my series or helping me get them in the right order to read...B

Clean with friendly staff. I love this place. Whether its just to browse for hours or quick research into something specifically I always feel awesome by time I leave. In a world were everything has gone digital it is refreshing to smell and feel the paper again.

Very relaxing store

I went to this Barnes & Noble expecting them to have a DVD on hold for me. However when I called, I had the impression that the lady who answered the phone didnt take me seriously when I told her that Id go and buy it. Just as I imagined, when I got there, I I realized I had been ignored on my request. They had to look for it, and I could have drove or driven all the way from East Sac for nothing. They truly need to have people on the phone that are willing to do better costumer service.

The reason I am giving this place such a bad rating is the deceptive 50% clearance section they have. The second I saw the clearance I was interested in finding a good deal and I realized quickly all the prices for these clearance items are marked up 50% so there is just the illusion of the items being on clearance. I challenge anyone to go to the clearance section find a clearance product that isnt selling at same price on Amazon and other online sites. This puts into question for me is anything in the store selling at a reasonable price? Even places like target have a clearance section thats isnt an illusion.

Cant sit around to preview books and the attached Starbucks is closed due to Covid, but we all need to go to our local book stores for our reading needs. Yeah, its a bit cheaper and more convenient to order through Amazon but we should all do our part to keep our local book stores open.

Its not what it used to be. Then again, not many book stores are like they used to be. Way too commercialized, even for B&N.The store is in good order. Everything looks to be clean. Due to the vagrant population growing in town, there were a few wondering around the store making it interesting to navigate. The staff all seemed to be busy, but at checkout the lady behind the counter was pleasant and friendly.

Nice store and we along with other family members have shopped there many years. But this time the 2 of us felt we were being stalked by a salesperson. Was surprised to see her every corner we turned acting as if she was organizing a product but watching us. Made it humorous and we left after walking around a while longer up and down the isles. 😃

I love coming in to a bookstore because theyre few and far between. This one has a Thomas and friends table for the kids to play which is what we mainly go for, the kids. They have a childrens book area and a Starbucks inside.

Easy access to a great variety of books. Nice place to spend an afternoon expanding your knowledge of information. Getting away from a glowing box. : )
