In concept, these pedestals are great, I have the Power Port-Marina with weather base. Overall I do like the end result and this could have been a five star review if getting to the end result wasnt so painful. There are also some quality issues that need to be addressed from a manufacturing standpoint.I placed this order with the correct configuration. When I received the pedestal, one of the snap in faceplates was damaged. I also noticed that one of the GFCI breakers was missing and a standard breaker was in its place. I notified the manufacturer and the promptly sent me a new breaker to replace the standard breaker and a new faceplate, which had to be modified to fit the devices on my order. Im a licensed electrician and ABYC Certified Marine Electrician so no issues swapping it out.When I went to swap it out, I then realized that the 125/250v 30A receptacle was only a 125v 30A, however, the faceplate was correctly labeled. Again, I notified HyPower and they sent me a new receptacle. When I opened the new receptacle, it was the same 125v 30A that I already had and not the 125/250v 30A version that I was supposed to get. I finally bought my own and had them give me a credit for the receptacle. They did nothing for all of the aggravation they caused.Quality: while the snap in/out faceplate is a great concept, they fell short on the execution. There is minimal room behind the receptacles and breakers, which causes tight bends in the wiring that far exceeds what would be recommended by the manufacturer of the wire. Many of the wires were oversized for the amount of current they would carry, which isnt necessarily a bad thing but in this case, it exacerbated the space issue. The entire top of the pedestal could have been just a little bit larger to allow for more space behind the receptacles and breakers.Another issue was with the breaker mounting mechanism. The plastic faceplate and more importantly, the plastic U-bracket that goes around the back of the breakers doesnt well and I had to modify it to get the slightly fatter GFCI breaker into the faceplate and secured with the U-bracket.I only purchased one pedestal and had this many issues, I cant even imagine someone purchasing enough for an entire marina and having that order be correct. The lead time for my single pedestal was 2 1/2 months. I thought that was pretty poor considering that most of the parts are off the shelf.

As a marina operator, I really like dealing with this company. They are great to work with and always go above and beyond to help me out. The products, however, Im not in love with. The plastic most of the boxes are made out of is fragile and breaks easily, especially in the hands of tenants. We are constantly ordering lid hinges and housings for replacements, and our slips are covered. Plus, they are a bit expensive. I have 3 right now in need of replacement and am just waiting for a time when budget will allow.
