During April 2020, Clayton Flooring Center replaced the carpeting throughout our home, refinished our hardwood flooring and added hardwood flooring where there was carpeting. My husband and I could not be happier! Before meeting with David at Clayton Flooring we had received a half a dozen other quotes from flooring companies, including those national companies that advertise on the radio and tv. We were not confident with any of them and their reviews where less then flattering. We decided that we wanted to support a local company and we did a Google search. The first thing we noticed was that Clayton Flooring Center had great reviews! We met with David and immediately felt comfortable with him. He came out to our home to look at our project firsthand. He is very knowledgeable, down to earth and easy to work with. Even better, David is very responsive and easy to communicate with. He offers a great selection of quality flooring, an ironclad Mohawk warranty (this is not the same for all companies that sell Mohawk flooring) and very reasonable pricing. Another PLUS, they offer 0% financing! His crews do an impeccable job and they pay close attention to detail. I can assure you that even if something doesn’t go exactly as anticipated, David is quick to address the issue and resolve it. That is worth it’s weight in gold! I would highly recommend Clayton Flooring. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help with any selections. David came promptly to measure and answer all of our questions. Fernando and the other carpet installers were friendly and courteous. The carpet installation was done in a timely fashion and the finished product looks great!

We had several issues throughout the entire drawn out process of having our kitchen floors replaced. Huge lack of communication with us and the contractors, wrong measurements, showing up without notice, and a very delayed finish date. Would not use them again.

Word to the wise..... DO NOT USE CLAYTON FLOORING for your future/current flooring needs. The horrible, DISHONEST experience started when I was charged a $75 fee for toilet removal, yet it was not removed. I only found this out myself because I decided to replace said toilet and found that the new floor was put around the edge of the toilet and the old floor was still underneath. I am being denied refund of that charge because they said that they fixed all of my other issues, which they caused (I had them do multiple jobs). We had vinyl replaced, all the carpet replaced and hardwoods put down, sanded/ stained old ones (which took them 4 visits to fix the damage caused, only to leave it finished with splotches of built up clear coat and fine scratches all over). We finally told them to enough is enough and got some refund on the sanding/ staining labor charge because they seemed to not be able to get it right. Moving to the Laundry room, the installers did not hook up the dryer correctly and when I pulled it out and put it back, I found that the floor was torn. They did come replace it with no question. However, does that make it okay to still charge us for work not completed with the toilet removal charge? They seem to think so! The amount of money we spent with them was not worth the service and product we received.

This review is my attempt to share my experience with anyone looking for carpet, than again, any type of flooring. If youre looking for quality product, quality installation, fair pricing and and feeling that you are not just another customer, than Clayton Flooring Center is your only choice.I moved to North Carolina, not far from Clayton only a year ago and needed to replace a large area of carpet. Not knowing anyone in the area or any where to go, I googled carpets and Clayton Flooring popped up. Im so happy they did! So happy, that a year later when I moved again and had to replace carpets in several rooms again, I knew exactly where to go. You cant beat the selections of flooring, the quality of their products, the fair and reasonable pricing, the knowledge and service of the staff, especially Mitzi and David, etc., etc., etc.I could continue and go on with my very positive experiences with Clayton Flooring, but I suggest you give them a try and find out for yourself!Thank you Clayton Flooring.

Local and legit! Great price and greater customer service! The installation team did a fantastic job, quick, clean and professional guys that did an amazing job on my hardwood flooring. My inside sales person Hope helped me pick out the best materials and colors. She was honest and gave me solid advice(most sales people tell you what you want to hear!). I appreciate their hard work and their awesome customer service!

I was extremely pleased with the service and attention received from Clayton Flooring. When I scheduled the representative to come out and give us an estimate, I received the numbers I needed that same evening. We discussed our options which included a layer of plywood to be placed between the subfloor and new luxury vinyl planks. I was pleased with this recommendation, which I did not receive from any other vendor.During installation, one day was spent removing damaged ceramic tile, and the next day putting down the plywood and vinyl tile. I was super impressed by the attention to details by our installers. Although it took time, they made sure each step was complete and sure before moving on to the next step.Our floor is now installed and we cannot say enough nice about the job or the quality of the Pergo install. We highly endorse Clayton Flooring and will be going back to them for our next project. Thank you!!

Clayton Flooring was great to work with. I was able to take samples home and think about what I wanted. There was no rushing or pressure sales. The install staff were very professional and I enjoyed working with them. Shop with this group and you wont be disappointed.

Price was great, installers were on time and professional...and our home looks amazing. If you want an honest and seem less experience call these guys. We got many quotes before going with Clayton flooring. Their service was amazing and the install is perfect. What a difference fresh carpet makes. We love it and love the experience. We will for sure recommend David and his team at Clayton flooring.Edited: 2nd install at new house: done by contractors. Im sure third party and they did not do nearly as good of a job as the first time we had them install flooring. Had to call them back out to fix spots and its still not 💯. Disappointing.Edited two years later:Manufacturer warranty was not sold to us properly. Yes, its our fault for trusting what the sales person said. Buyer beware, read warranty in full. We were told any reason, any stain (red wine used for an example) other than urine/feces (pets) would be warrantable. We come to use said warranty, and we are told sorry it doesnt cover that (paint & putty). The whole reason we got the carpet is it was sold as being kid proof. It seems if they cant help you get the stain out, then your out of luck. Really no warranty at all. Dont fall for these sales tatics. Sad the relationship had to end this way.

Clayton Flooring came highly recommended by several of my neighbors and they did not disappoint! I was going to get an estimate with a competitor but once I walked into their showroom, I knew they were the place. Installation was a breeze and my floors look amazing! His entire staff is super friendly and knowledgable.

Clayton Flooring removed and disposed of outdated carpeting and replaced it with Mohawk laminate flooring matching what exists in other areas of the house. They also installed the moisture barrier, transition piece, and quarter round molding needed to complete the job. The installer was polite and professional and all aspects of our contract (from pricing to scheduling) were carried out as promised. The sales staff at the store are friendly and supportive. I am very happy with the outcome and have no complaints!

We have used Clayton Flooring for 2 houses and they never disappoint! Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is like no other! This time they replaced all the flooring in our new home and did rock on the fireplace. Once the kitchen is Installed they will be back to do our backsplash! 5 stars isn’t nearly enough!

I wanted to get a replacement for our vinyl flooring in two bathrooms and a laundry room. I thought I would get ceramic tile so when I got to the store they showed me something called luxury vinyl flooring. I looked just like wood flooring only it was vinyl.The whole experience from start to finish was so easy. I ordered the flooring, they said it would take two weeks to get and then they had their installers come a few days later and install it. They did a great job and I am a happy girl.

First let me say, if you are looking to have your hardwood floors REFINISHED, I DO NOT recommend Clayton Flooring for it.We had our hardwoods refinished with Clayton Flooring because I wanted to support a local business. We had no clue when we chose them (as a flooring company) they wouldnt be doing the refinishing themselves. They contracted a guy to do the refinishing on their behalf. We were never told that and didnt know that until the morning my floors were to be done.I had went to the store prior and they took notes on what color stains we liked. That never translated over to the contractor. When he got to my house, he never laid a stain palette down so we could see what colors we wanted. He had said that the store had never told him the colors we liked, so we showed him pictures of the color floor we wanted, and also pointed to our kitchen tables color, which is a dark rich brown, and he insisted that hed lay a stain down that would be the correct color and wed love it.So they start, and put a coat of seal on top of it, and after work we check, and its the WRONG color. I dont mean a little off, I mean WAY off. It was horrible and way too light. Then to try and fix the problem, they tried to talk me into just letting them mix some stain with poly and put that over the already sealed wood. Im no professional, but its pretty obvious the stain needs to be in the wood, not mixed into the polyurethane.David had them resand and start over, but unfortunately that made the job go from 4 days to 7 days. So at this point, I get professional advice so I can be more aware of the process and make sure no more shortcuts are being made. This time, the contractor laid a palette of 3 colors, still not the 6+ color palette I was promised Id get to choose from. Thankfully, I stood my ground and he brought more stains for me to choose from because I wasnt happy with the 3 he put down. Then, based on the professional advice I had gotten, and knowing we want a dark stain, confirm he was going to water pop the floor, since thats necessary for a dark stain to be even. He told me no, because it was raining outside and the floor would take forever to dry while its raining outside. First off, my floors are INSIDE, not outside with the rain, and the heat is on and windows are closed. Second off, they are can mix denatured alcohol with the water to make it dry quickly, so this guy is just being lazy and making excuses. At this point, I cave and they dont water pop because I really just dont want to be dealing with them any more.Now finished, because he didnt water pop with such a dark stain, you can visibly see the staining isnt even throughout the floor and the color isnt as rich as it should have been had he water popped. So, while Im happy with my floors, they arent exactly what we wanted... And, aside from me calling David when my concerns, and him showing up once, we feel he was pretty uninvolved with the whole process. I definitely feel a company should be transparent with the fact they are contracting someone else to do a job you are paying THEM for, when you communicate the entire time with them and put your trust in them, to have to deal with someone else who takes tons of shortcuts. The entire thing was a super stressful nightmare.The sad thing is we were looking to have floors installed in 2 other rooms in another 6 months, but now Im left needing to find another company to do it because Im scared of going through the same thing.

Met with David and made the plans for them to do floors and kitchen. First had Mohawk laminate floors installed in whole house. This crew went well over and beyond to make sure all the flooring was perfect. Next had granite countertops put in the kitchen. The guy doing this took extra effort to make sure the undermount of my sink I wanted to use ended up perfect. Next the tile guy did a great job installing the harvest moon backsplash. Last another crew sanded and stained my hardwood floors and stairs. This not an easy task to match my floor colors but at the end it matched perfectly couldnt have had a better result. Stairs carpet runner installed nice and tight and complete. If I could tell you any part of the this 3 month process wasnt perfect I am one that would say it but we ended up in love with every bit that was done. My family could not thank Clayton flooring enough.

Had plans to remove our carpet upstairs and replace with something other than. David suggested LVP (luxury vinyl planks) and we agreed after looking at product, reviews and speaking with friends who had installed. Also, decided to replace carpeting on stairs as well.In between agreeing to upstairs work and installation, our dishwasher died and a new poorly installed one poured water on our kitchen hardwoods, thereby forcing a total replacement of kitchen and eating area hardwood floors, as well as sanding and refinishing our entry, dining room and walkways!David and his staff were able to coordinate the upstairs LVP, carpeting stairway and downstairs replacement and refinishing of the hardwoods all at the same time to lessen our time out of the house and inconvenience effortlessly.All crews were on time, professional and did a great job! I would recommend them to do any flooring job and will definitely use them to do my bathroom and laundry room with LVT (luxury vinyl tiles) when the time comes! (Hopefully not soon!)
