I got great service here at the cheese counter. Then I wandered around and picked up a few bottles of wine. Friendly cashier carried my purchases to my car.

A liquor store with the best selection of Whiskies that Ive ever seen & the staff knows a tremendous amount about the bottles on the shelves.

A relatively small store focused on providing interesting alternatives to a local population. As such, it is entertaining just to walk through. Excellent deli, meats, and bakery.

This store has a decent cheese selection. However where it really shines is in the beer, wine, and alcohol selection. I kept finding more and more products as I wondered through the store. I even found bags of charcoal for grilling and bags of wood chunks (hickory and apple) for smoking meats.

Lots to choose from here! Helpful staff and a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. Also picked up fresh, local eggs and a bit of cheese!

I am frequent customer. Great selection of wines from around the world. Always something interesting on the shelf. All price points represented so if you are looking for something budget friendly you can certainly find that but also more expensive wines for the special occasion are also available. Organic wines and biodynamic are also in stock, if that is your type of thing and I have had good luck with wines in that category. They also have lots of other items besides wine (beers, bourbons, gins, etc.) I havent bought too much cheese here so I wont comment on that but the wine is fantastic.

Good selection, but prices at register are consistently higher than those displayed on the shelf and online. Often an additional $2. It seems consistent across all categories as I’ve seen it with spirits and wines. You’re encouraged to note this when you purchase here as the difference isn’t worth returning to rectify, although it can add up.

The Clayton location has had everything Ive wanted, including competitive prices. Convenient for me because I work in Clayton, Ill stop here before going to any type of gathering that calls for alcohol because I know the selection and prices are tough to beat. Id been to another location in west county that pales in comparison to the Clayton location.

5 Star Experience All Around! Great pricing (including a killer deal on a certain single malt Scotch) and the order was processed and shipped fast. It even came a day early from FedExs original email. The Wine and Cheese Place has some great pricing and their staff was prompt to answer emails. The package was well done so everything arrived safe and sound. Ill buy online from them again for sure.

I go mainly for the great selection of American craft and international beers. Great cheese selection. I am not a wine or liquor expert, but what they have seems pretty extensive. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Large selection of beer (pretty much all craft or microbrewery), lots of local spirits, and good selection of cheese and roasted nuts. I dont know wine but they have a lot of it. Prices are good too (a lot better than I initially expected).

They have an awesome selection of liquor (everything from whiskey to mezcal and absinthe), beer and wine. Their cheese counter is one of the best in the area.The reason I use them primarily though, is their excellent customer service and prices. They are fair with allocated products (which is especially appreciated given the silly bourbon boom right now), they go out of their way to be helpful, offer great samples and events, and do their best to take care of repeat customers.Given their prices (which are the best in the area), I dont see a reason to go anywhere else.

I wouldnt bother going here for hard to find Bourbons unless you are a regular customer and a member of their club. I asked if they had anything from the Weller line and was told this. This was my first time stepping into one their stores. Their selection seemed equivalent to many of their competitors. Their prices seemed slightly higher though.UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: Just to clarify - Their response was made the same day as I posted the review. It was also the same day I went to the store. I was there about 1/2 hour after opening. There wasnt any Eagle Rare or Blantons on the shelf that I could see. As for Weller Reserve I specifically asked if they had Weller and was told No. So even if it didnt make it out to the shelf yet I apparently was not given the correct answer. Im not sure why. At other places Ive observed other hard to find bottles like Eagle Rare, Weller Reserve, Weller Antique, Col. E.H. Taylor on the shelf. Ive even asked for two bottles of Blantons at a different place and been brought the bottles from the back no questions asked. At all these different places their prices were pretty much the standard amount.

Im a beer guy. This place has an excellent selection and they are sorted by region/ country. There is an entire backroom dedicated to beer! BUT, if your looking for other spirits, they have it all. Large wine collection and bourbon, whisky and scotch.

I get to STL a couple times a year and I always stop here to pick up some brews. Im like a kid in a candy store at this place. Speaking of candy, my kid loves this place as well. You can buy candy by weight. She loves trying new things here. The chocolate covered blueberries are the best.

Fantastic selection and reasonable prices for all types of beverages 🍻🍷🍹🍸 (plus great cheese, their own roasted nuts (wow), sausage, and other stuff) in a safe and convenient location. Virtually everything is priced competitive with grocery stores, but you get a much larger, better quality selection and you dont need to wait for a sale to get a good deal for your $$$s.If youre not sure of what you are looking for, the staff is great and has never steered us wrong...even on a $10 bottle of wine. They may even have a bottle of what youre considering already open and will let you try some!
