Quality Boats made the experience of purchasing a boat incredibly easy and low stress. Everyone I worked with at Quality boats was professional and friendly. My sales rep Cody Long was exceptional. He was always available to answer my questions or to get back with me on something he didnt have the answer for. After we purchased the boat, he made time out of his schedule to take us out and show us all the ins and outs of our new boat. I am so impressed with Quality Boats that I will take the boat there to have its yearly service done there as well.
Purchased a 2014 Chaparral Signature 270 from Quality Boats couple weeks ago. Dealership was top notch. And would recommend Tom Heinz one of the sales representatives from Quality. If you are in the market - Straightforward in every way and a great knowledge of boats in general. Went above and beyond in helping. From purchase, financing and shipping 1300 miles. Will not be the last boat we buy from Tom and Quality Thank you!
We purchased a 2022 Regal OBX from Quality Boats in Clearwater and Cody Long was our salesperson. What a great experience! Not only did we get a really good deal on the new factory order but Cody did a great job of communicating with us the whole time that it took for the factory to build it. As if that wasnt impressive enough, at delivery we only had to spend 10 minutes doing the final paperwork and then went out to get familiar with the boat off and on the water. I hadnt piloted a two engine boat before and this one had all the gadgets so I had a lot to learn. Cody is a super skilled captain and showed me everything I needed to know down to the last detail in order for me to pilot it home. I couldnt be happier.I really recommend Quality Boats for yours (or my) next purchase!
Recently purchased a new Grady White From Quality Boats. The team was incredible to work with. They made sure every detail was covered and their service was exception. First class team and organization!
Bought and shipped 35 foot boat to NY. Great communication every step of the way. Thanks again! We love it!!
We just recently purchased a Regal from Quality Boats in Clearwater. Our experience with Cody and the whole staff was amazing. Cody was patient and knowledgeable about every aspect of our buying experience. The General Manager went out of his to make sure we were pleased with our experience. I highly recommend Cody and Quality Boats of Clearwater. Thanks Cody and the whole staff for making our purchase of our dream boat a reality!!
I highly recommend Tom Heinz at Quality Boats in Clearwater! Tom was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable. I super appreciated the extra effort and time he took to explain every feature of the Grady White we were looking to buy. Thank you Tom - you were amazing!
L disregarded the negative reviews and just bought a nice used Parker 25 from Tom Heinz. I couldnt be more pleased with the purchase and Tom answered all my questions / concerns before I made my 500 mile drive to come get the boat. Thanks again!
Do not purchase from this dealership!!!! I recently purchased a used shearwater bay boat from them, since I am in Georgia I paid to have the boat inspected by an independent surveyor and paid their shop $331 dollars to run diagnostics on the outboard, After trailering the boat home I discovered the engine would not start and found multiple connections disconnected on the engine. Prior to the boat going in their shop the engine tested/ran fine per the independent guy. The salesman and service writer instructed me that they should not have been left unattached as it was impossible for that type of connection to vibrate loose and that they would handle it. I was then called by Dan who stated oh we didn’t do that, we wouldn‘t have undone those things to perform that service. Funny two of his employees stated, after watching a video they would, but yet when I requested a refund Dan offered me a $50 check for my inconvenience. Really? If you didn’t do anything wrong why offer me money?? It’s painfully obvious that I am not the only buyer who has issues with this dealerships dishonesty or poor service. Do yourself a favor and look else where. Just read some of the reviews you will see a common thread related to service issues and their service department. Wish I had paid closer attention.
We just ordered a Regal LX4 from Quality Boats in Clearwater. Our experience with Cody Long was great and we felt at ease. Cody gave us the attention and took the time to show us the options of purchasing a new and used boat. We decided to purchase new. Cody and Chris, were totally transparent and very knowledgeable about helping us buy the right-fit boat. We are anxiously waiting delivery of our new boat and cant wait until mid-September. We highly recommend Cody Long and Quality Boats of Clearwater. Thanks to Cody and Quality Boats of Clearwater.
I have purchased three boats from Quality Boats so I feel like I know the team and ownership. This organization is absolutely outstanding, their commitment to quality is remarkable. Their values as an organization is incredible. As a customer they always make you feel like they are doing the right thing for you and the truth is they always come through. Eric is the sales executive that has helped me with all three boats and he is a world class guy. Very knowledgeable, trustworthy and customer focused. The owners of this business have created a culture of transparency, knowledge and honesty. Before you buy a boat you must consider stopping at Quality Boats! You will not be disappointed.PS.....I promise I am not a family member......😀........just a life long customer and friend of Quality Boats.John and Dianne Couris
Met with Tom. Super knowledgeable and courteous. Took the time to answer all my dumb questions.
We purchased a boat from them recently. Since it was a demo boat, there wasnt a trailer with it. We know that it would be several weeks before we could receive a trailer. We knew this when we purchased the boat. Its not a complaint. Quality boats actually loaned us one of their trailers so that we dont have to store it until the trailer arrives. They were under no obligation to do that, but I think that it demonstrates excellent customer service.
First time boat buying a boat and Quality Boats made my experience amazing. Very knowledgeable and patient, even after thousands of questions. I can tell the difference a family owned business makes. Everyone there was professional and it showed they were not in this for a quick sale. It truly did not matter that we were not buying a boat that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. They took care of us just as well as the high end customers. Our sea trial was very thorough, not only were we given detailed instructions about the boat, we also took time touring the areas we would most likely be boating. After the trial we felt very confident and ready to enjoy our new boat!
Byron is a very good broker to work with . He is patient and really knows his stuff . Ive bought a lot of boats in my day and I always go to him first. Hes honest and works out of a good organization . Quality !
Thanks to the QB family. Byron Hurst was instrumental in helping us buy 2 Pursuits over the last 5 years and helped our friends with 2 purchases as well. Byron just doesn’t help with selling the right boat for you, he is available long after the sale to address any questions or problems that may arise. Ed and the gang in the service department are just as attentive.
Very professional sales staff not pushy they take the time to find out your wants and needs then work toward finding the perfect fit.
Nice boat store, but not much to choose from
Quality boats treats customers like second-class citizens. They are completely rude and dismissive of you unless you are a rich old white guy who is perfectly willing to pay full asking price. If you are anything else or if you ask for any kind of deal they Will discard you like you are worthless to them. Business is good right now so their arrogance is more apparent than ever. Do yourself a favor and find a Boat dealer who treats you with respect..
Family owned and ran great people great quality boats and knowledgeable staff i prefer them over marina max
Super unprofessional sales and management staff .Ron Cook played me offer another deal after I was told I was good to go after wiring my deposit and signing a contract . I soon found out they took another offer for a boat ..... no call no communication.Do Not trust him or the owner. Words of advice many other dealership in the area who are much more reputable.
We recently purchased a Tiara, from Quality Boats, and the word “excellence” best describes our experience.Quality Boats, were a cut above the rest in every detail of the buying experience which seems to be lacking now a days in most industries. Every detail from purchase to delivery was flawless. We received a fully stocked fridge on our first voyage to a wonderful gift basket delivered to our home after congratulating us on our purchase! We are beyond thrilled!!Cody Long, our sales associate is someone you should really seek out if you are buying a boat. He is always 2 steps ahead, prompt and knowledgeable. The best thing about Cody is that he tells it like it is and will give you knowledgeable genuine friendly advice about anything and everything boat-related.Our purchase was a dream that evolved into a goal accomplished. I want to sincerely thank Cody and the staff of Quality Boats for the wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime especially during these crazy covid times we have truly been able to enjoy ourselves! Thanks again,The Bassett Family
Its not everyday you go shopping for a new boat and having never bought one before I really didnt know what to expect from a dealer. Well I could not be more pleased with my boat purchasing experience at Quality Boats before, during and after the sale! Cody Long, my sales rep at Quality was great! He really went the distance and helped me out of a jam when the marina I selected to store my boat cancelled my reservation at on the day I was taking delivery. He was able to work his magic and get me into a great place that was initially full. He followed through with everything he promised very promptly and has maintained contact months after the sale. I could not ask for anything else, it was a very positive experience!BTW, the Regal 26 OBX is awesome. The Family and I love it!
Purchased a Pre-owned 2018 28 express. It has been an excellent experience working with this dealership from my sales person Gary to parts and service after the sale. Thanks again
Excellent service ..👏
Good selection of boats but hard pressed to get as much as a hello or can I help you. We are boat shopping and yes everyone knows the recreational market is red hot, but still doesnt change the need for customer service. We will buy one day soon but it would never be from this location.
We loved our trip to Sarasota. Captain Cody, Amy and Lauren were great hosts and organized everything to a tee. We had lots of fun and will have many memories. We made many new friends. Lots of laughs!😎⚓️
Byron is my broker for years. Very knowledgeable and works with you . Nice place, good stock.
This is more than just a top notch dealership its one that truly cares about its clients as I stumbled across the matter show 2 and a 1/2 years ago and to this day I consider them extension of my family they care so much about the experience on going. I knew nothing about boating when I purchased my Regal 28 footer and to this day it was one of the best purchases Ive ever made and the fun has not stopped Ed does a great job in service and Gary who sold me the boat still keeps in touch almost 3 years later and its very common to see the owner David the owner looking over everyone shoulder making sure the experience is everything you would expect and more. Just a great place that you can feel confident knowing youre in good hands with your purchase By the way 2 and a 1/2 years later I have over 755 hours on the engine and it still sounds like the day I bought it and all Ive done is maintained to suggested maintenance schedule. Thank you again everybody for a great experience!
QB sold me a beautiful Regal 33XO. Our family of five loves it!
Great service and great boats its amazing
Boat shopping can be fun or it could be a very unpleasant experience. Quality Boats makes it into an experience where you feel like you are purchasing a boat and joining a family. Eric has got to be one of the most pleasurable sales consultants my wife and I have ever dealt with. Text, email, phone calls, Sundays, after work, before work he is there always available. Great attitude and understands that this is a big purchase. I also got a chance to speak with one of the owners, David, and it means a lot for a person like himself to take the time out of his day just to follow up to let us know that he will be involved in our purchase process. These are real people who treat you with respect and give you their honest opinion when you ask a question. They are looking to build a long term relationship not just that one sale. Great operation!!!!
Super awesome facility. Great staff, low pressure. Byron is knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to work with. If youre in the market for a quality boat this is where Id go.
We did a sea trial of a Sea Pro 259. The boat listed to the starboard side the whole time. We all agreed this brand new boat had a trim tab issue. I told them to please call me and tell what was up with the trim tabs because I wanted to buy the boat. In fact I drove over from Palm Beach County with $20k in cash ready to buy the boat. Disappointed to say the least, my fiancé and I drove home. About 2 hours after being home, I got a call from my sales guy and his “manager.” Mr manager didn’t ID himself, he just told me with a rude tone that the tabs “work” and there was nothing wrong with them, even though he wasn’t on the sea trial. I asked what was wrong with the trim tabs and he said “ I don’t know it must have been a loose wire.” How comforting?! Quality tells their customers in an arrogant way that it’s ok for their brand new boats to have loose wires, but they work. Silly me? No thanks. Get your boats elsewhere people. Seriously!
I have nothing but great things to say about Gary Twigg and Quality Boats. We were first time boat buyers and Gary spent a lot of time answering our questions and helping us through the process. I cannot give a higher recommendation--top notch!
Eric was a terrific help and great partner in our large purchase. Ed in service and his team were professional and courteous. They stood by their product and have made us Regal customers for life.
Update 3-30-18: Gary from Quality promptly reached out to me, listened to my story and addressed all the issues. Very happy with the response. Quality Bozts is a company that cares enough to follow through and make things right and I greatly appreciate it.
Always helpful and friendly. Never any pressure to buy. We will definitely purchase a boat here.
Great facility, awesome staff & reliable advice! Everyone was extremely helpful and I felt completely relaxed.
Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. The boat selection is great.
Great staff. Very Nice. We love our boat.
Great boats, sales help ways great!
Quality Boats is a truly accurate name for this dealer. We recently purchased our second Regal from our salesman and now our friend, Gary Twigg, and they have always been totally honest, fair, pressure-free, and reliable. The quality of their products is without question as well. We shopped SeaRay during the purchase process of both boats and while SeaRay is a great product, we feel that Regal is better and gives you more for your dollar. On top of all that, Quality Boats service has now gone above and beyond by helping us with a storm-destroyed boat lift at our home in scheduling our initial checkup a little early, on the day after the lift was destroyed and thereby providing safe storage for our new boat while we try to get a new lift. Thank you, Ed, Steve, Gary, Randy, Dan, and everyone else there! Their service location on Island Estates isnt convenient for us, living in Treasure Island, but everything else about this dealer makes that inconsequential, and on the infrequent need for service we just make that a fun little trip. There is no reason to ever shop a different dealer.
Very good they will take time with you and no presure
After having a bill of sale executed, my own financing approved by dealer, and sea trial done, dealer GM decided to refuse my bank financing suggesting that I should apply for financing through them. Dealer kept my down $4000 down payment for 12 days.
WORST decision I ever made! Bought a 250K boat that constantly breaks down and nothing is ever fixed properly. Boat usually comes back in worse condition than it went in. Generator has never worked . After I bought the boat there was a recall on the generator so they told me I couldnt run the generator or it could start a fire. Then they had my boat in their shop for almost 3 months last summer trying to fix it. Once I got it back it still doesnt work and now they are telling me its out of warranty even though I paid a lot of money for the extended warranty. Kohler rep said they wont come out without a credit card so they can charge me for time and travel plus the repair and Regal is now saying the generator is separate from the boat. What kind of crap is that! Regal boats are a piece of crap and the Kohler generators are horrible and unreliable! What makes it worse is Quality boats takes no pride in servicing your boat and treats them like they are a 500 dollar john boat. I can go on and on with lists of what doesnt work on the boat...do yourself a favor and stay away from Quality boats and Regal boats in general.Nice come back but totally wrong. As far as the condition of my boat when I pick it up it is documented with Ed that my boat was COVERED in black crud, all the decks had black shoe prints all over it, the fridge and ice maker had mold all in it and the toilet inside was black with mold and crud all over the outside. This was after you had my boat for 3 months waiting on approvals to fix the generator. I would be happy to send you the pictures that I took that day. Two monthsprior to that I was told do NOT run the generator or it could cause a fire. The generator has always had problems tripping the breaker and shutting down. As Ed is aware October 31st my 22 year old son passed away so I did NOT use the boat until the last 4 weeks. Its in high and dry storage and the first time I use it it trips and wont let me run it. NOW I call Ed and im told its out of warranty and on my back. How is that when it was out of commission for 5 months due to a recall??? Also on the front where you installed my $10,000 thrusters the fiberglass keeps cracking bad all around it and now youve had to fix it twice. Its also documented that the horn has NEVER worked and you keep having to fix it. Even now it still doesnt work. Last time in service my eisenglass was torn, cigarette burn on my seat and was told they couldnt find one piece of eisenglass. Everyone at Quality knows how I take care of my boat and none of this is acceptable. I even met with one of the owners to discuss upgrading to another boat last summer because this boat was a lemon and even then they wanted to stick it in my rear. Its not like im the only one thats had a bad boat and horrible service. The reviews speak for themselves on the internet. Theres a ton of them that are very negative. The way to avoid all of that is do the right thing! I ever spent thousands on upgraded full warranties so I would have any issues and now im told look at the fine print doesnt cover things on your generator...all that would be fine if it was fixed in the first place and then a year later had a maintenance issue. I got locked in my cabin once, door was stuck shut, generator quit and I was burning up and had to call ED and my salesman to figure out how to get out with out breaking the door...I can go on and on....I hate this boat, not happy with how my boat is treated and deffinately not happy that you guys wont step up and do the right thing and fix this ongoing problem with my generator...Very bad business practices..Like all the others, I have no idea how you guys remain in business!
When a problem arises, a business should be given the opportunity to do the right thing before a review is written and I have done just that. I had reached out to the owner David Blair via email, voicemail and text message and after a month of no replies I expressed that I was frustrated from not hearing back from him and would appreciate a call. His reply was abhorrent, arrogant and unprofessional. We have purchased two boats from him to the tune of over 500,000 even going outside of our current Pursuit district to do so. It was brought to our attention from the Charleston dealer that the bottom paint Quality Boats applied was not done properly and was peeling off in huge chunks. The owner of the Charleston dealer spoke with David and David agreed to mail me a check for additional costs I incurred to fix the problem. Not only has he not followed through with his commitment, he has ignored my calls, texts and emails until today and I will be forwarding this documentation to Pursuit. There is no excuse for his behavior and it is an embarrassment on behalf of your organization.
Very nice and knowledgeable dealers!
The best knowledgeable friendly service.
Great staff. I felt very welcome.
It was okay, still rather buy from boattrader or craigslist.
