We went to this place off reviews. We had family in town and spontaneous decision for us all to get tattoos. We walked in and place smelled clean and entire staff was super friendly. They fit us all in and this was my first tattoo and I had Kevin who was really good and helped make my first tattoo a good experience. I actually will return for #2 and worth the hour drive from our house!

Wow! What a wonderful atmosphere. The staff is SO kind & welcoming. Fun artists! My little sister got her nose pierced by Billy and he made her feel safe/comfortable along with making the process smooth! My mom got her Daith pierced by him as well nice and easy! I got my tattoo done by John. He was amazing with the best happy energy and took the perfect amount of time on the piece! Also good prices. Thank you!

This place is where I would go for a high end tattoo experience. They have the most professional, positive, great surrounding tattoo palace Ive been too. All the artist are super nice, they love showing off each others work. Each artist has individually taken time to introduce themselves and say hello. They make me feel at home here. Plus like I said, this is more then a typical tattoo shop. Its a Palace. Its a club house. Its great! The culture is here and I highly recommend this place and the people in it. I personally get tattooed by Kevin and he is amazing in every way. Even the owner of this shop is super nice, very friendly and welcoming. Come on in and live!

I was nervous about getting tattooed, but everyone here was very nice and very friendly. They put me at ease and I never felt rushed or pressured. My artist listened to what I wanted, looked at some of the different ideas I printed out & brought in, and drew a tattoo up for me by hand, which was really REALLY cool and I know what I got is unique. He worked with me until I was 100% confident in what would be my new tattoo. My artist also checked with me as he did the work to make sure I was comfortable and to see if I needed any breaks. I love my tattoo & Im so glad I went to moniques.

WOW, this shop has nearly 500 reviews at nearly 5 stars for a good reason.I have gotten a few piercing done before between the usual ear and belly button but never the face - I came in to get my nostril pierced and immediately upon walking in, I was pleased with my choice to come to Moniques.The lobby is lovely - clean but not in that cold type of way. Very welcoming. Billy was very attentive immediately, despite being the only person presently available (the shop had just opened up like 30 min prior) and having a few customers already. He may be busy but Billy was very kind and when he was speaking with you, his attention was undivided.Billy did my piercing and absolute 10/10. So fast and swift with the needle. The area was clean, supplies were sterile (he prepped right in front of me so I could confirm it) and I could not be happier!They also MAKE jewelry there! Super cool.I cannot recommend Moniques enough. To be in and out of the shop so quickly [which is a GOOD thing when it comes to a piercing lol] and yet to still have such an impactful, positive experience in that time is a great sign of not only talented people, but also good people.OH and on top of it all: so affordable!Bottom line: go see Billy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I thoroughly enjoyed going to Monique’s to get my second ear piercing! The great reviews on google held high expectations and they did not disappoint! The lady at the counter was very friendly and informative. Billy was the guy that did my piercing and he was so friendly and calm. He did a great job piercing my ears. I only got to use 1 of the 2 sessions I paid for. If you value your time, and have a life with other things going on, this place isnt for you. There is only one person there who is able to provide this service... his schedule varies week to week and is not posted online... and he doesnt take appointments. You are to just show up at your own risk with hopes you can be seen that day.

I was recommended this place from a friend who gets pierced here, I wanted a tattoo and came all the way from NPR because she said everyone was so nice here and I would love the custom art they do. I was so happy with my little tattoo I cant wait to get more!

I went for my first tattoo years ago and had a great experience. I went a month ago and had the complete opposite experience, my artist was creepy and thought it was okay to touch me inappropriately while I’m back room, then watch me in the lobby as I waited for a friend to finish their tattoo. I didn’t notice until like a week later but half my simple tattoo (that took no more than 25 minutes) is crooked. Don’t want to go back to get it fixed.

Upon walking in, the vibe was chill! The staff was professional and nice, asking me what I was there for and got me set up with everything I needed before turning me over to Shayna who did my navel piercing. She was absolutely amazing! Very clean and explained everything she was doing. I’ve had piercings done before and this was the quickest and most easy one I’ve ever had. Shayna is amazing at her job and if I need anything else done, I won’t hesitate to make the trip down from WV to FL.

My girlfriend and I got tattoos here while we were on vacation here in Florida. She set an appointment for herself and they let me in after as a walk in which was nice. Shayna is an incredible piercer! I just got my septum pierced at Moniques, and my whole experience was amazing. The building was clean and the staff were all very professional and nice. The room was private and comfortable, and Shayna explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. She was kind and comforting, even though I was nervous going into it. I came to them looking for help with my old industrial piercing which I had to remove and place smaller clear spacers in while I was in nursing school. I tried to put in a new bar with a large ornament in the middle of it but the holes had shrunken. Over the next day my ear swelled and I had the most horrific head and ear pain. I came to them not knowing what to do. They knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix me immediately. The ornamental bar I had gotten was too short and was cutting off flow of blood causing my ear to swell. They gave me a longer bar to put in and the swelling went down within an hour. This experience was a few years ago and I have plans to get more ear piercings done soon and will definitely be using them bc of how professional and knowledgeable they are.

Would 1000% recommend! I’ve been going here ever since I got my first tattoo and Kevin is an AMAZING artist! He has done all my tattoos and is very patient and makes sure you’re doing okay throughout the tattoo. He did some flowers on my thigh for my very first tattoo and when we sat down he explained the process and told me what I should kinda expect. And after he was done he went over the after care in depth! I also sent him in a few pictures for my latest one telling him what I wanted and he created a beautiful combination of them! I have small arms so where he put it would of looked weird on the inside of my arms so he he took out his little marker and drew on my arm to fill in the space. Amazing artist with an amazing talent and pays super close attention to details! Unfortunately I travel now for work so I can’t go as often as I’d like but I’ll always ALWAYS make a special trip to Clearwater to see Kevin for my tattoos! I refuse to go anywhere else! Also, the guy who does the piercings (forgot his name) is also amazing! I got my belly button done and I was nervous as a dog! But he was quick and it was painless! Overall, Monique’s is an amazing place to go to if you’re looking for your first tattoo or want more. When you walk in it’s a nice welcoming feeling. The art came out good but i did not like the artist too much. I never got his name but he was rude and shut down any idea i had instead of trying to work with it. And i understand that it was my first tattoo but i feel like it hurt more than it shouldve.

They told me to come to the shop to set up an appointment. When I got there I was told to have a seat and an artist would be right out. After waiting for a half hour I left. Dont waste your money here they obviously dont need it.

Me and my friend went to get our first tattoos at this place and they were nice and welcoming, and I had a short wait but they charged me $100 for a super small tattoo which I was told is way over priced and I was definitely ripped off for just some lines and small flowers with no detail. My boyfriend spent $100 on a decent sized tattoo way bigger than mine with color and shading at aces and eights tattoos on park blvd and looks way better. I’m embarrassed and disappointed because I didn’t get to get up and look at my tattoo in the mirror like my friend did. The guys with long hair and a long beard just placed the stencil and started drawing. He was nice but I wish my experience was better and I wasn’t ripped off...

Got my septum done here a few months back. The place is very sterile and the piercing was painless. It healed great!

I came in to get my Medusa pierced about a week ago and everything seemed fine right? I noticed right after the piercing my Medusa was off but I just assumed that my eyes were playing tricks with me so I just decided to leave it be. After a couple days of swelling it’s gone down and my Medusa is mad crooked dude!! I’m honestly so upset, I looked up why it could be crooked and it’s one of 2 reasons. 1: swelling could of made it look that way or 2: your piercer just did a bad job. I feel like I wasted 60 bucks just because I have to remove it now. Nothings wrong with the healing or the piercing really itself, it’s just pierced so wrong. It’s pierced in a diagonal direction as well, it’s just so off from the center of my philtrum. So disappointed :(

I had my nose pierced a few years ago and, after 2 years, it never healed! I was living in Boise ID at the time and got it done at the top recommended piercing studio in the area. I had asked for a hoop but was told it wasn’t something they did for the first piercing and they gave me a stud. The stud style pieces caused me so many issues and never did heal. I ended up removing it and letting the hole close. I really missed it though, so I checked different social media groups and found that Monique’s was by far the top recommended joint for piercings in the Clearwater area. Went in today and met Billy. Told him about my piercing woes and he said he could make the hoop happen. Not only did he do just that, but I felt absolutely nothing. Even less than the first time I had my nose pierced - I felt a pinch then but not a thing this time. He knew exactly what he was doing and it showed! He was friendly and funny and personable and easy going and def the piercer I’ll be going back to and recommending now. Thanks, Billy!

I called up Moniques because they had great reviews and I read on their site that Billy is a very experienced piercer.I spoke with Billy last week and he was very friendly and had answered my questions.So tonight, I decided to go and do the piercings. I got my third hole pierced and my cartilage pierced on both sides.Billy was awesome. He was very professional and has a great personality. He explained the difference between using a gun or the needle for piercing. I had no idea the needle was better. He made the piercings seem so easy and it all went very smooth.Thank you Billy!!

I took my daughter to get the medusa piercing ....as we left the place we realized that the piercing was crooked but we thought it had to do with the swelling . As the swelling started to go down we then new that it was definitely crookedWe are so disappointed . Of course I had to take her to get it removed. I paid $50 for piercing $10 for the notary and $10 for tip . I Definitely do not recommend Moniques for body piercings. Dissatisfied and definitely disappointed.

Billy has pierced both of my girls ears at 5&6mo and my nieces at 8&10 years old. Hes very patient with the kids. Definitely recommend it for infants.

First thing we noticed when we walked in was wow this place is so clean! Billy did our 5 month old daughters ear piercings. Our baby was smiling and playing with Billy from the beginning. We loved that he took the time to explain everything to us and how to care for it after. Also when we went to the piercing room the earrings were soaking in alcohol and he had two brand new sealed piercing needles ready to go. Billy was so great and it was so quick she only cried a couple seconds and her ears never even got red or anything. Couldn’t have asked for a better result! Ari has been working on my half sleeve on and off for about a year. He’s a great guy to work with and does killer ink. He is there to put ink on your skin and has come up with exactly what I’ve wanted with minimal input from me. He is fast doesn’t blow out lines perfect colors and is chill to talk to. Don’t go in there softer than a marshmallow get to the point and you’ll get exactly what you want every time.

Me and my friend were visiting clearwater beach and decided to get a piercing together, instead of driving back home we searched places in Clearwater and I’m so glad we did! The staff was so amazing and friendly and took their time to listen what we wanted and explain everything to us! I’ve gotten plenty of piercings before and they are always so rough and don’t have much time but at Moniques they are eye helpful and so kind. The piercings didn’t even hurt they were so gentle! My first experience was not good. I came in Looking to get a tattoo of my pet that I recently lost, and the gentleman at the front desk told me that they do not do portraits I should find some where else. I said I was not looking for a portrait. I had a couple of pics, and wanted show him and just wanted a Simu lance of a couple of my dogs characteristics that I love and will never forget about him. I had a very good idea of what I wanted and where. I am sorry that I had a bad experience, I do not normally post things like this, however I feel that I was not taken seriously about me and my best friend.
