Excellent quality fine furniture found here. A treasure trove of great furniture at both the Clearwater and Tampa stores. After purchasing the missing piece, a dresser, we made arrangements for the pick-up & delivery, then we just had to go to the Tampa store. We were equally surprised at the fine quality there.

A lot of HUGE furniture. If you have a BIG house to fill, this is your place. Very beautiful furniture.

The Missing Piece was a found gem of a store! I called the Clearwater store to find out if they have any recliners. They told me they did and described them to me with good detail. I stopped in and was greeted by Michelle, she’s another gem! She was so helpful and we made a purchase within 10 minutes. Another plus is that they deliver! The store has a visually stimulating atmosphere with quality merchandise. I could tell they really take pride in the store in the way they have staged furnishings so professionally and artfully. You can find some really cool stuff here thats well built and unique... But it is expensive. Youll pay less for new stuff at chain stores like Ashleys, but I like the stuff from here better. Pretty much everything they have is of solid build construction and adds character to your house. Younger me would have balked at this place, but older me understands the value lol.

Last minute decision to stop in in hopes to find that missing piece for my living room. It was an instant success. The staff was wonderful. The store was clean and everything was very well placed. For a consignment store I was surprised. Will definitely be coming back.

Until recently I would gladly have given this place at least 4 stars. My mom and I have been in many times over the years. The staff has always been friendly without being pushy. And for the most part, the inventory seems good quality. So why only 2 stars? I recentlypurchased a kitchen table and 4 chairs in what SEEMED near perfect condition. A scratch on the table and a discolored patch on one chair seat. I paid $550. A bit high for used, but I had been looking for a while and I was told the brand was known for good quality. Well after only a few weeks the upholstery on the chairs began to peel off in several places. Its only me and my daughter here, so it was barely used and already coming apart. The rips got worse quckly. So I took photos. Due to the holidays etc I didnt get there until a few days ago. I decided to bring one of the chairs along with me. I thought the store management would want to know about the problem because it isnt typical of the quality they usually carry. The upholstery is obviously defective, but I figured they didnt know before they sold it. The saleperson even joked that the guys who set out the floor displays had just put it out and now they would need to take it right back. If I had never been in there before and this happened I would think this was a place that sold junky furniture that they disguised as high-end. But I knew this wasnt up to their normal standards. I thought managment would be as surprised as I was and apologetic that they had unintentionally sold defective merchandise. Boy was I wrong. I had barely begun to explain why I was there and show a clerk the photos when another woman stepped up and without so much as a hello said all sales are final, this is a consignment store so there are no warranties, you take your chances when you buy etc etc. I was taken aback. I had never had anything but friendly service here. I found out later she is the owner, Barbara. Ive owned and run a retail business myself. If this is how she talks to customers, I suggest Barbara leave the customer service to her excellent sales people. She was just so rude and condescending. I cant imagine what its like to work for her. Its not as if I came storming into the store yelling and making a scene. If I had, I might understand her attitude. But even when dealing with difficult customers it does no good to escalate the situation that way. Especially in this economy. She was acting like I had personally insulted her. This is not personal, this is business. I tried to explain that I know their inventory is usually good quality. All the more reason to be made aware of this exception and try to avoid it in the future. I know nothing about the consigner who brought it in. Barbara said they are a regular supplier and never had a problem. Well if I were the supplier Id want to know about this defect too! The discussion just got worse and then she accused ME of being argumentative from the start. Wow. And she kept contradicting herself. First all sales are final no warranties statement, then it was I should have come in sooner. So if I came in sooner, the sale wouldnt have been final??? I had photos I took only a few weeks after the purchase. Not to mention even after 3 months I would not expect leather or even vinyl to be shredded like this. She suggested I should be happy with a good table. Excuse me, I bought a 5 piece set and 4 of them are defective. At one point she offered me $50. I just felt more insulted. Clearly she just wanted me out of her store, which was empty by the way. She kept asking me, what do you want? but each time I tried to explain that I thought she would want to stand by her stores reputation for carrying quality items, she cut me off and denied that there was anything wrong.. She finally agreed to go out and look at the chair I brought. I dont know why she bothered other than so she could storm back into her store with her nose in the air. The last thing I said to her is that reputation is everything. Ill just bet she has a reputation.

This store always has amazing furniture pieces, at great prices. We also visit the Tampa store as well. All workers/salespeople are friendly and not pushy. We will continue to be repeat customers.

I was incredibly but pleasantly surprised at the selection and presentation of furniture at this store. My wife and I stopped in to see what they had even though I was personally very sceptical. We ended up buying pieces for four rooms! The help from Jeannie was much appreciated.

I love the Missing Piece for purchasing furniture but unfortunately do not recommend them for consignment unless you are in a bind and need to get rid of furniture quickly. Had them take my bedroom set which was in excellent (almost new) condition and only 3 years old that I paid over $1500.00 and I received about $140.00 so far. If they sell my dresser I may get another $30? So total of under $200 for a $1500.00 set? Would have been better off on “offer up” or similar site. I did have about $50 in a pick up charges deducted. So to be fair, i would have received maybe close to $250? Still disappointing.

We have been to the both stores many times and have purchased there before. This time called the Clearwater store to see if they had what we were looking. To my pleasant surprise, Denise checked her website and also Tampas! She then gave us a reference # to what we were looking for at their Tampa store so we could look it up once home. Now thats what I call excellent customer service that we will always remember.Thank you Denise!

The store has great values and friendly staff. It is obvious that they only consign furniture in excellent condition and I was surprised to see many options from traditional to modern. This is a excellent source to furnish a room or home at a lower cost. There can be great finds of designer name brands that are a fraction of the price of what they were new.

Ive visited this store a handful of times over the years and Ive never been impressed. The furniture, in some cases, has faded fabric. Other chairs and couches have legs that arent secure, some even wobbly, with fabric that may have tears here and there; youve got to peruse items carefully -- front, back, and sides. The reps are courteous and dont swoop down on you when you walk in -- thats always a plus.

Big selection and artwork at really great prices.

Very nice store with lots of nice items, but none of it is priced reasonably for used furniture. (For example, a used coffee or console table for $400+. Quite a bit more than expected for even pristine, barley used condition.) They do have new items also in the mix, but there simply is no value to buying consigned furniture here - if youre going to pay such a high price for something, get it new.

Missing Piece, Fine Interior Furniture store is an awesome place to shop at! I love the furniture they sell there; some of it is unique, used, with great quality. Im sure you can find the pieces that youre looking for, for your home. Love it!

I have been to this store on several occasions, and I think they have great inventory. Unfortunately, I cant say the same about customer service. I went in there with credit card in hand to buy a chair, but it was in their stock room and nobody was there to get it down. They have a no-refund policy, so I would have had to buy it without examining it, with no opportunity to get my money back if it was damaged. I attempted to find a convenient time to come back and look at it, but they werent interested in making it easy for me. They treated me like I was putting them out and like I was wasting their time. My husband was there, and he felt the same way. I left there feeling really down, which is a shame because I really loved the chair. I would recommend that they focus on making the customer more of a priority.

The store is awesome and the service is wonderful. The staff is very professional and polite as well as very personable. I highly recommend this establishment to those whom are living in or traveling to Clearwater Florida.

BE CAREFUL if you decide to purchase anything from here, keep your invoice. They delivered 11 items to me. A month later, the manager calls and tells me I didnt pay for one of the pieces of furniture they delivered and I that I would have to PROVE I paid for it or they would take legal action. She didnt say hey, we made a mistake could you please help us, no she immediately started threatening me like Id made the mistake and threatening me. Then two days later I get legal papers saying they DEMAND I return the piece in the same shape they delivered it or they would take me to collections. It is a huge piece, I paid them money to deliver it. I have no way to deliver it to them. When I suggested they pick it up they said Id have to pay for them to pick it up. Ive never been treated like this before by someone, especially a store I just spent 7,000 dollars at. Beware!!!!!!!

Good consignment store: well organized. note that they carry higher end furnishings of good condition. A bit to the pricey side for used furniture, but saves the run around for a craigslist ad. The Tampa store is larger,,,and pricier. They do not follow the rule of thumb: 1/3 of value if used. They also mix in some new furnishings.

The service here greatly needs improving! I spent thousands of dollars at this location...bought 4 dining room chairs, a sofa set, armoire, upholstered head board and bed frame, and throw pillows... They have a 5 item limit for their delivery, no problem - I paid the full price for delivery and the gal counted the 4 dining room chairs as 4 separate items. So, as inconvenient as it was, I arranged to have 2 of the chairs picked up so that my larger items could be delivered. The next day, the same gal chuckled and told me that she was informed that my chairs should have been counted as a set of 1 toward my delivery charge. She didnt apologize or try to rectify the situation in any way. That same week, I bought 2 more large furniture items and would have had to pay the full price delivery charge again. I opted to rent a truck and do it myself!The Missing Piece didnt even try to fix their mistake - a sincere apology would have been the least to do. I was there alone, from out of state with limited time to shop for my 2nd home. They didnt care. Once they get your business they stop trying to help you. Some lovely pieces here, but on the expensive side. My experience was that they have poor customer relations and poor employee training. They lack overall care for the customer. It is a shame - they just want your money and their furniture gone.

Snoody staff but the choices are good. The prices are much higher than other consignment shops in the area. The selection ranges from bedroom to living room to office to patio. It seems like used and new are mixed in together, but you would have to confirm that at the store. I purchased a desk here but have passed on many other things due to price.Also, they will not budge on price even if the item is scheduled to go down the very next day. They will make you come back the next day and purchase then... bad service in my opinion. Three stars for selection but the service deserves less.

Nice items for sale with helpful staff.

I purchased a swivel office chair from the missing piece. When it was delivered and used, front of it fell toward the ground. Upon inspection, I discovered the chair had been previously broken and glued the plastic and put some brackets on trying to repair. I called the missing piece, Clearwater, talked to manager and was told it was my responsibility to have checked the chair before purchasing. Manager told me they check for scratches and tears in fabric but we the public are responsible to check the mechanics. They pass all responsibility to the consumer. Be careful if you chose to shop there, check your piece out well. I, will not return to do business with them. I am out over $200.

Not sure what they mean by consignment... There were at least 3 of the SAME piece, albeit 2 in an off-white and one green. Also, there were pieces with tags on them from other stores/sources indicating the piece as new. While they may have Some pieces on consignment, it seems like a good portion is simply resale from some other source.Also, theyre not likely to accommodate any special requests. One lady who was only interested in the table of a dining set was told shed have to buy they entire set and then consign the chairs. :/Also, I dont consider IKEA fine furniture, but there were several pieces available at The Missing Piece, however at no significant (or even insignificant) savings. You may as well just buy them directly from IKEA.With all the legitimate secondhand and consignment stores in and around Dunedin and Clearwater, Id rather spend my money elsewhere.

If I could give less than one I would....total ripoff ...sent pics of sectional they gave me a quote I agreed to price. They made me pay a 90 fee upfront because its three pieces. They come out,drivers took pictures and sent and now wont pickup because Bobbi said there was pillows shown on the sectional hiding wear....total bs....still charging me 90 for delivery ...SCAM ..I WILL NEVER SHOP NOR CONSIGN THERE EVER AGAIN .....TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE .....LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT WHAT IVE SENT AND WHAT YOUVE SOLD.....NEVER AGAIN ...YOUVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER. ILL BE SURE TO SHARE MY STORY .
