My equipment sat here for a week without even being looked at. Went to pick it up and found most of their staff outside smoking cigarettes while one guy was repairing things. Took to Royal Mower on 49th and got it fixed on the spot. Avoid bringing your equipment here if you want it repaired in a timely manner.

DisappointedI purchased a Honda Generator two years ago from Quality Mowers. Recently decided to purchase a second Honda Generator from Quality Mowers to parallel together after my electritician installed a transfer switch. Staff was friendly and courteous.My electrician advised me that my panel would require a generator with higher voltage output of 220. The set I purchased would only produce 110 volts.I tried to return my recent purchase EU2200 so that I could buy a larger unit. The unit was unused with 0 runtime / no gas.When I tried to return the unit, all I got was an argument on why what they sold me would work and that my electrician was wrong. Dude! If you dont take returns on unused items just say so and let me be. I think you where trying to help but it didnt come off that way. I can guarentee that you will not see me or my business again.I know I am a small unimportant customer and dont represent your day to day clients. With that being said, I dont expect to hear back from Quality Mowers now or in the future.Buying elsewhere.PJSUS Army, RetiredIn response below. I purchased 2 of these generators from you. I am the least handy person I know. I find a way to break perfectly good equipment. Lately I cant seem to remember to use a fuel additive. I love this shop in many ways. Sometimes if its a simple fix, they will tell me to hold steady and Im out the door all good. When you leave a machine, it starts on the first pull, they show you the damaged part. You can totally trust this team. Patrick in the service department is a Marine. A do it right the first time guy.
Excellent service rarely seen anymore. I was recommended to them by a Landscaping company as the best place to purchase and service lawn equipment. I dropped my mower off as it wouldnt start. They called me letting me know it was ready and the bill was very minimal. It proved to me they can be trusted. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
My father started buying mowers there years ago. I purchased 2 mowers several years ago. I didnt really want what they convinced me to buy. I had one repaired last summer and it has not worked right since. The pull start will not recoil on its own an I have to use a screwdriver to manually do it. I really think they have an issue with women. That said ladies dont give them your business. Reply to your answer. The other mower was taken to shops in St. Pete by my daughter as that is where she lives. You are correct that it was brought in for blades and service however when it was returned to me the recoil did not work and the mower could not be pulled backwards. I called and ask if someone could pick it up since I did not have way to get it there at that time. I asked if it would be free pick up and was told no and that I would be charged. So that said I stick by my post. Also today you spoke with William and someone there mentioned this post and told him that he should control his OLD LADY I am not his old lady. So ladies they just verified that they truly dont care for women.
Great place to do business with. I have purchased many commercial mowers and other equipment from Quality and never had an issue. They always go above and beyond to make sure things go smooth and the customer(both professional and homeowner) leaves happy. If you need service thats no problem either. They get your equipment in and out in no time. This is how a business should be ran. Hats off to Quality Mowers. Ive been going there since the 80s and now I know why. Try them out. You wont be disappointed. Class act shop.

Bought a Honda commercial push mower HRC 216 first time I cut the yard its smoked around the exhaust. Took it back they looked at it couldnt get it to do it. Second time I videoed its smoking they got Honda involved and put a part on it. It still does it I need to bring it back again. They Told Me Not to Cut On A small in grade in my yard go up and down. For a commercial mower I liked it the way it operates but just not thesmoke around the exhaust it smells like oil burning and it gets clogged up if the grass is too thick and the two blades. I would love them to buy it back from me and try something else if not I will run into a quit and find a different mower after it quits not very happy with the lawn mower but very happy with them trying to fix it. I bought it brand new for my house only. If you do commercial yards I do not recommend this mower. If they buy it back for me Ill take this off the website. 1st of all I brought the 1st one Went back because it broke the back wheels gears 2nd as I never said anything bed about you your guys was wonderful of trying to get it fixed But saying Im hard to please I just want quality thats all Im asking for when you pay over a $1000 For a lawn Mower. I do believe you said the Toro has plastic gears. The Honda Would be a better mower. After working with Honda and going to another Honda dealer dealership and they rebuilt the the motor. Works good now.
I walked into the quality Mowers for stihl equipment repairs and I passed one desk with employee pretending to be so busy on the computer that he couldnt look up or even acknowledge me entering. No problem moved further into the store to main counter where there was a employee inventory small bags too busy to look up acknowledged or assist me. After a few seconds of debating my course action for at best terrible customer service, I turned around and just left decided to let the entire community know my experience and by way it might be worth mentioning that I am black and the employees where white.
These guys really know their stuff! Its always a pleasure to deal with the Rucker family and their team of experienced lawn mower and power equipment specialists. They always seem to have the right parts and equipment needed for the job and their prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend these guys for any equipment needs or repairs you might have!!
Havent purchased yet, but have been in great contact with receptionist and Mark. Being they have the mowers I need and they are in Tampa, I knew the process would be difficult. But, it appears that they are more than helpful.

As a business we do a fair amount of ordering through Quality Mower. I simply needed a throttle cable, I called and Nick told me to come by. The woman behind the counter asked if I needed anything and I showed her the used cable. She asked for a model # of the equipment I needed it for. I tried to exlain that there would not be a model # on that hydraulic power unit she could cross it to. All I need is a cable approximately the same length. After the parts manager instructed me to come in, assuring me he could find something, this woman turned me away. I went across the street to Home Depot and got the part, off the shelf for $2.99. Thanks for the Quality in Quality Mower.

First, this is a good review. As such, I will elaborate. My wife and I live in Largo, Fl. Last week I had some problems with my Toro Lawn Mower. As the norm, I did a google search to see if reviews existed for Toro Service Centers, in my area. Quality Mowers was on the list.I took my mower right over to Quality. Without hesitation I was directed to Patrick Houck in the Service Dept. I explained the issue that I was having with my mow. Patrick assigned my a Service Number, and provided me with a Company Card. He also informed me that it may take up to a week for the Service. In 3 working Days I received a call that the mower was ready.I went back to Quality, and picked up my mower. Instead of testing the mower at the location,as I would generally do, I decided to wait until I returned home. I returned home, and promptly started the mower. It sounded Perfect! In short, I received Prompt and Good Service, at a very Fair Price,Would I go back to the Quality Mower Location located in Clearwater Florida. YES, I most certainly would do so. Good Luck!
I have been going to the Gulf To Bay location for a few years now and eveything has been very good. They have a new location in Oldsmar/Tampa that is closer to me so I went there instead. BIG MISTAKE! Dont go there - bait and switch routine! Buyer beware! Bill was supposed to call me 3-4 days after dropping off mower to let me know what was wrong with mower. After waiting to hear back from him for a week and a half, I called and asked why he had not called me back yet? He said he was really busy and that my coil needed to be replaced and was covered by warranty.That was on a Friday. On Tuesday, he left me a voice message that said my mower wasnt covered by warranty because it had stale gas in it and instructed me to call the warranty company. I contacted the warranty company and told them that he gave me a different story a few days before. His change of mind cost me $78.00! Makes you wonder doesnt it? Free (covered by warranty or $78) Beware of Bad Bill
Well I have been using Quality for about 10 years. I purchase my equipment and have gotten all my repairs done at Quality. I live in N Tampa and early this summer tried a different Company that was closer to my home.They completed the work but acted like they were to busy to really listen to the problem my Equipment was having. Their prices were higher on parts by about 10% as well.Enough about that---- so Fast forward to bringing my Commercial Toro 32 walk behind mower to Quality. The service tech felt that the problem was water in the carb. I picked it up, got it home and it stopped in about the same place as the last time. This mower weighs over 400 pounds so it is quite a hassle to get it loaded in my truck. Back to Quality I went and I was met by 2 experienced veteran mechanics. They were very kind, concerned for the problem I was having and proceeded to try and trouble shoot it right then. They figured it out, it was an ignition module that acted up when it started to get hot. They fixed it, called me back the next day and told me that I would pay for the part $65.but no labor would be charged. The best part was they would bring it out and deliver it to my home = no charge.I seldom ever write a review but obviously I was extremely happy with their service and friendliness.I strongly recommend going here for your Equipment purchases and servicing needs.They seem to know how to conduct retail business with the public.Don Hulling, Tampa

I brought my toro i had bought for my dad,he had started getting altimerz and had hit a water lid in ground and bent blade or crank.we bought a crank and gasket.took to them to put together for us to keep as a rememberance of dad.they charged $300.00 to put it together.ok deal we said..one week..well two months later they called yo pick up,and they took off all drive train to assem.and never put drive train back and said it was never there.i could not push the mower in had to lift the rear to do so,thr unpleasant manager says it was nver there and he kniws it was because he pushed the mower out with no problem.it was noproblem cause it wasnt hooked up!now they want to sell me back my own parts and charging over $300.00 more..the mower only ran for thirty min.before dad hit the lid on yard.if you ir anyone taked your stuff here you deserve what you got voming to you..now im hoing to owner see what he has to say..
I brought my Toro mower in to the Clearwater location to have them check the self-propel feature. I was told it may take 7 to 10 days. Right when he saw my mower he said it may cost a lot to fix and I may just want to buy a new mower. The $25 repair fee would go towards the cost of the repair or purchase of a new mower. They called back sometime after a week or more with an estimate to fix it for $340. I picked up the mower choosing not to get the repair. Today I brought it to BT Repair in Palm Harbor. He said it was stuck between gears and the self propeller is not broken but works fine. BT charged me $10.Stay away from Quality Mower when looking for a mower repair shop - I believe they either didnt really check the mower or they lied to me to try to sell me a new mower. I like my old 2 cycle Toro...and I thought they were Toro specialists.
These guys are rip-offs! They play the Warranty Game...oh bring it in and well take care of it. Then when done Oh its not covered under Warranty! My Lawnboy was 10 months old still under a 2 year Warranty. Brought it in and they said choke was bent. Replaced choke AND carb...dont understand that because no damage to carb. Promise to repair it 2 weeks...call in 2 weeks hadnt even looked at it. Had it fixed. Charged me $85 dollars and Claimed it was outside warranty. Three weeks later mower runs out of gas...pour contents of gas can runs 25 mins fine. When runs out of gas again go to SuperGas on Belleair and Highland Av. S. Fill the gas can fill my car tank. Put gas in mower wont start. Call Quality speak w/ woman Jodi. Jodi: Bring it in our work is under warranty for 90 days. I do so. They claim water in gas and show me a mix. I dont believe it because I put exact same gas in my car and no problems. I go to take mower...No...$53. dollars and its not covered by warranty even though only a $3. dollar part and rest of $53. is their labor. So steer clear and dont get hustled by these guys!
