Just found the antique cast-iron based drafting table I was searching for. I have been antique shopping throughout the US and beyond for years and this place is a must explore rare gem. When I need an architectural item for my century-home, that unusual piece of furniture (including some super mid-century pieces) or gifts---they are my go-to place. There is a very large inventory (thats why I LOVE IT!!/its fun!!) and the selection/quality never fails to amaze (I had about a dozen or so antique drafting tables to choose from. Where else can you find that?) and the staff were so helpful. Its getting harder and harder to find places like Uptown Archeology---businesses like these are disappearing. What a shame. Antiquing is so hands on. I get to see the things in person and due to the caring staff I always come away with some new piece of knowledge/insight. I dont get that shopping on-line. To boot they always makes sure that any purchases are in tip top shape before they leave the premises. Awesome!Upon each visit its also guaranteed that I will end up making new additions to my wish list--- right now its an antique set of wooden map drawers and a beautiful stained glass window. So fortunate that they are local! No shipping costs!

Got the feeling like we were being followed and watched by the store owner, which is comical as it’s so cramped and Claustrophobic in there I don’t think anyone would even be able to. Try to make customers feel more comfortable please.

Bought a beautiful window yesterday. The guys asked what we are looking for and set out all the windows within our measurements. Our very old house will be looking stately with a lovely transom. Thank you for such a stylish inventory..
