Amazing bagels. I returned from NYC after having some delicious bagels but I have to say that this institution has stolen my heart. The bagels are thick and fluffy (we had plain, everything and rosemary) and the cream cheeses are rich and delicious.The only thing I did not love was their vegan cream cheese. I am happy that they offer it but the taste is more on the milder side.
I can and will drive 45 minutes to get a bagel. They are 41 minutes away. EVERY time I’m in Cleveland in the morning I will drive here. Sorry/not sorry. I’m adventurous and picky about my bagels. These ladies have that magic. I recommend to everyone, every chance I get. Definitely recommend bagel and lox, fully loaded.
Got an egg, cheese, and bacon on a plain bagel. Pretty standard filling, but the bagel was amazing (which makes sense). The bagel was soft on the inside and amazingly crispy on the outside. I finished this in about 4 min and will definitely be back. I totally understand why the line always seems to be out the door.
Delicious food. The everything bagels are amazing. I really enjoyed their cold brew coffee as well. Good, strong coffee taste instead of the bitter water flavor you get at some places.

Not only the best bagel shop in Cleveland but also far superior to any other chain bagel place. The service is quick with a palpable sense of efficiency and professionalism in a clean, modern and limited space. Most customers get their orders to go but grab a table if one is available. Whether one is getting cream cheese or an egg sandwich on a bagel, the portions are big and flavorful. This is how bagels should be made and served everywhere.
Was in Cleveland for business and wanted to try a local bagel. So glad I found CBC. Bagels were great and the service was fast. They are practicing Covid protocols so you have to speak loudly as there is plexiglass between you and the staff. I had an everything bagel with lox and it was awesome.
Saturday mornings often are a great treat. Sun was shining, and I was in need of some early morning fuel before heading to the farmers market. My friend grabbed me right before I headed out the door, and I am so glad he did.I love that this place is located by the lake. Environment always enhances your dining experience, and few things are more invigorating than a sunny day by the lake.Inside you are wrapped up in the warm smell of freshly baked bagels. It is such a comforting feeling, and adds ease to your morning routine.I enjoyed a toasted Rosemary Sea Salt Bagel with Honey Walnut Brie Cream Cheese. My gosh...best bagel I have ever had! The spread was rich but not overpowering. The bagel was the star. With every bite I took, it got better and better. A warm, bagel pillow with crunchy salt crystals and the earthy rosemary aerating in your mouth. It was bagel nirvana.Go here. Thats what I am getting at. Go here!!!
The best bagel in Cleveland, for sure. Probably the best bagel in a 100-mile radius (at least). The sandwiches are especially good.Only four stars though because, while its a tremendous bagel relatively, its only a very good bagel on its own. Theyre just a little salty, a little dense, and are missing just a little bit of the ideal crispy-on-the-outside-and-chewy-on-the-inside dichotomous texture that turns a very good bagel into an excellent one.

Great bagels !was in town from 2 hours away and we stopped after a doctor appointment right before they closed.The sea salt bagels were exceptionally delicious.The workers were nice and cheerful and we even got stopped by the owner making sure we were satisfied in the parking lot.what a great quick stop for a bit to eat that cheered us up just by great bagels and friendly service!Next trip to Cleveland clinic well stop in again!

Ok here we go.For my first time there I heard Cleveland bagels were really great. So I had high expectations. But for me they were good at best I would not say they were great.Don’t get me wrong it is a good bagel. The customer service was not very friendly I felt rushed and for a first time trying to decide what to order you should not feel rushed but helped. And being in the restaurant field for 16 years I know customer service. So I settled for the egg and cheese bagel toasted. And… the egg was over cooked seasoned very poorly and then on one side of the sandwich the egg had herbs in it And for the cheese it moved to one side of the sandwich. Yikes as a former cook and home cook I can definitely make a better bagel sandwich especially for 5 dollars. So the 2 stars are for the actual bagel itself. I hope this doesn’t sound to harsh but to educate to make a good place better.

I just CALLED to place an order for 5 sandwiches and a dozen bagels.. I was told they only take orders over the phone for 10 sandwiches or more? I suppose you do not like making money and youd rather turn away customers.. perhaps my $50 order isnt worth your time.. I am in utter shock that you would turn business away in a time when many restaurants are struggling to survive.. mind blownClearly whoever owns or manages this place and made that rule has never been in the food service industry. Hey Cleveland Bagel Co, ever heard of Covid-19???Every other restaurant or business in the area is offering take out and curbside, but youre too good for that?And from a purely intellectual standpoint, what exactly is the difference between you receiving my order over the phone versus hearing my order face to face? Aside from the efficiency, lack of foot traffic and congestion with covid amidst us, and just the general customer satisfaction.. I have a baby, I dont want to go inside and wait for 15-20 minutes, Id much rather call and go pick it up 15-20 minutes laterGet it together and learn how to run a business.. I could care less about other positive reviews, this is about as amateur as it gets
Awesome spot, fantastic bagels and bagel sandwiches, all made fresh daily. I went with the #3 bagel sandwich which was lox, plain cream cheese schmear, capers, red onion on a sesame seed bagel; highly recommend if you enjoy all those favors in one! Their hours typically have them open until early afternoon so get there way earlier and enjoy this place!!

I grew up in the Philadelphia area and spent time with cousins on Long Island. I grew up steeped in New York, Brooklyn, Queens and east coast bagels in general. Most bagels are awful. These bagels are phenomenal. I cant say enough good things about their qualities. Taste, texture, toppings, generous size, crust, satisfaction.......Get a sandwich, load it up. Its unreal.

This is the best bagel place in Cleveland. The texture is always perfect and delicious; the blistering on the outside is excellent and the bagels have a wonderful chew. Their rosemary and sea salt bagel is amazing with the chorizo schmear! We get a BLTO with that combo almost every Sunday when its available!
Definitely stop in for a bite, Lox and bagel sandwich was delicious and the bagels themselves hold up to intense scrutiny. Read the article on the opposite wall of the register. They were featured in the Wall Street journal.
If youve never had fresh made bagels.. youll be ruined forever. This place has the killer bagels. Panera or Einstein aint got nothin on these dudes.. accept packaging. Awesome schmears. Eat it there for a peak at the lake from the window. Love this place, best in town. Theyre quick but expect a line! Its for a good reason...

What a wonderful gem to discover. I picked my daughter up from the local bus station and we wanted to quick bite to eat before we headed on a road trip for Easter. I Googled places to eat near our location and saw The Cleveland Bagel Company. Worth our little Adventure the bagels were delicious! Made fresh that morning. Coffee was good and they had a variety of schmears. But a dozen to share with friends and family they went crazy over him. This would make a fun morning trip for bagels and coffee and you could see the view of Lake Erie. Parking is sparse so go early.

Cleveland Bagel co is the best place to get bagels in Cleveland. They were very good about social distancing and ensuring everyone was wearing masks. Its also pretty cheap for the food and coffee you get. Highly recommend. If you are there earlier, then its even better because theyll have every option available.

Love this bagel shop and was recently turned onto them. They dont offer a immense variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors like big chains but what they have is pretty awesome. I love the Rosemary + Sea Salt bagels and their cream cheese with chive is my personal favorite. There isnt much parking except for street side. I appreciate how theyve been operating during the pandemic. There are clear signs before entering about masks and physical distancing. During busy hours like Saturday morning, they had an employee helping run orders outside for bagel sandwich orders and to help control flow of foot traffic inside to limit to 6 customers max at a time inside. For those who may be curious they use Square as their payment system with Google/Apple NFC payments accepted as well. Overall Im happy to make the trek to this part of town from Lakewood to pick up bagels and for cyclists its nice to have the location on Detroit road with bike lanes.
My favorite bagel shop in CLE, but had to ding them one star on not toasting my bagel sandwiches this morning. That detail mattered!
In terms of cities when you think about great bagels Cleveland does not often come to mind, but for me personally the Cleveland Bagel Co has changed that. Their rosemary bagel is probably my favorite of any I have ever eaten. And to get it with a cream cheese and lox in a sandwich legitimately makes me want to book a trip to Cleveland just to taste again. Also this is a company who cares about its employees and community. I love their bagels, my favorites are Rosemary, and Everything. The brie and walnut cream cheese is super tasty. I was happy on my recent visit to find that they are taking social distancing very seriously, with marks outside and inside for standing in line, and only allowing a limited number of people inside at one time. They were also requiring masks even before the Mayor made it mandatory. They were very nice about all of it, and my experience was top notch.
If I lived closer, I’d be there every day! It’s such a treat when I get to visit and stock up on all the amazing flavors and spreads. My favorite is the rosemary bagel with cheddar chive cream cheese. I appreciate the business making masks mandatory to keep everyone safe. And their staff is so friendly, and the shops are clean. Don’t believe any of these fake reviews out there that are all just trying to hurt the business. It’s hard to stand up and do the right thing right now in the world, but this company is doing it! Love you guys!
My daughter asked for our food to be placed into a non paper bag she brought with her. 3 employees including the manager refused. UNBELIEVABLE TO US. They claim to be NY LIKE Bagels. They obviously havent had one. Had the Lox and Bagel. MAYBE 2 oz of Smoke Salmon. MAYBE. Stay away from this place. They only seem to be interested in Catering, not the off the street customer. No seating offered.
Absolutely brilliant. Best bagels in town. Only unfortunate bit is that theyre not open 24x7 cuz Id be eating it all day then.

For a long time, I believed the fairy tale East coasters wanted me to believe - that good bagels could only be found in New York City (and maybe Montreal).The day I walked into Cleveland Bagel Co, my life changed forever. The air of fresh baked bread. The garlicky, savory scent of the perfect everything bagel fresh out of the toaster. The satisfyingly creamy first bite with one of their famous home made schmears. This is the greatest bagel one could possibly hope to experience.Thank you Cleveland Bagel Co. for being a priceless staple in the west side and for everything youve shown us.
Hands down the best bagels in town. I feel like family when I walk in and am seen and acknowledged by name by the staff. The fact that they have a variety of delicious vegan and vegetarian options makes me so happy to not have to choose the only option on the menu like most places. I know they care about their customers AND they care about and support their staff. A neighborhood gem!
Every time my son or I have an appointment at the clinic, we make sure to stop and get some Cleveland bagels. It is our tradition. They have fantastic bagels. And everyone that works there is so nice. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Excellent service and my favorite bagels of all time: Very authentic, I think. Although Im from northeast Ohio so my opinion on what is an authentic bagel only goes so far. Regardless, if youre in the area and a fan of bagels you cannot pass them up. Every employee Ive ever interacted with there has been a great experience, as well. A real Cleveland gem!

It’s hard to believe that we would drive 50 miles for bagels - crazy right? But we do. The flavor, texture, freshness - 100% worth it. They have found a way to make an everything bagel with amazing flavor but you don’t taste it all day. And a schmear is about a half pound of flavored or plain cream cheese!
Best bagels for miles around. try the bacon, egg, and cheese and add the hot pepper jam. it will become your new jam. the bagel and lox are outstanding as well. these guys are doing it right from top to bottom!
I stop in and grab bagels from them a couple times a month. The staff is awesome and bagels are always baked daily and are delicious. And they will keep fresh at home for a good week. Don’t be swayed by anyone on her posting ridiculous or defamatory reviews. I’m quite sure none of them even know where the shops are even located let alone actually visited one of them.

The staff working here are the best combination of patient, friendly, and genuine that Ive had the pleasure to meet.I feel obligated to point out that there are a lot of one star reviews that have appeared in the last day or two (as of this writing, 7/4/2020): These reviews appear to be in response to some posts made by the owner on social media reflecting his opinions on the times were in, which the reviewers seem to disagree with. As a reader of reviews, you should be aware that this is going on and its whats been motivating so much hate in such a short time. If youre truly concerned about the quality of the bagels, the cleanliness of the facility, or the friendliness of the staff, I can personally guarantee the following: in the hundreds of times Ive been here, Ive never had a bad bagel, never seen the place dirty, and never been treated rudely by the staff. Whats more, if you think you can get a better bagel from Dunkin, then I would question your taste in bagels and encourage you to go patronize whoever you like, but harassing the lovely staff at Cleveland Bagel because you disagree with the owners views is a pretty dumb thing to do.

I met these guys when we were doing the flea that shall not be named. The bagels were good and delicious. Now they have a mini-bagel empire and I’m so excited to eat their tasty food and watch them live their values through their company. They pay their employees well, stand up for their fellow citizens as a company, and refuse to back down. In a world filled with greed, they are an example of how to make $ and show up for your neighbors, employees and city. Props to Cle Bagel for continuing to be yourselves.

Went to Cleveland Bagel Company today for the first time. AMAZING BAGELS!! I had an everything bagel with a thyme/black pepper/horseradish schmear - so good! Hubs had rosemary bagel with cheddar/chive - YUM! Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other flavors. And many covid protocols in place - highly recommend!!
Best bagels I have ever had. Their Brie honey walnut cream cheese is incredible! I usually get a plain bagel with BHW cream cheese, bacon, egg, and avocado and it’s the best breakfast sandwich of all time!!! After eating these bagels I have never been able to go back to the bagel chains. Highly recommend stopping in.

I miss getting my almost daily bagel when I was working downtown! Im going to have to make a special trip for a work from home bagel.These bagels are the real deal. Chewy and delicious. No need to toast, they are perfect as is.I like a plain bagel with plain cream cheese, but their fancy bagels and cheeses are delish too.

Love love love the lox on rosemary sea salt bagel. So good. These guys have the best bagels in Cleveland, hands down. Honestly there is nothing else to say. Definitely go there if you are looking for an awesome breakfast. Keep in mind they are only open mornings and early afternoon. It is an order at the counter place, but they have a cute little spot with tables, so its fine to stay there and eat as well.
