The coffee was decent, I had a peanut butter latte that was interesting. The fact they only take cash and serve their coffee in styrofoam will give me pause for my continued business.

Delicious drinks and food. The Uber app menu is confusing and I ordered a bacon bagel because I did no select the eggs, etc. Most Uber menus have you choose what to take off the sandwich, not what to put in. Im pretty sure Im not the only person ordering meat only breakfast bagels.

Barista didnt know how to make a macchiato, he then suggested a cappucino. But gave me a quadruple espresso dashed with a literal spoonful of foam. My cup was not even 1/3 full. Cant make such common drinks at common grounds.

A friend brought me here a couple of times and I really liked it. They had great coffee, a good selection of options and comfortable seating available. They are open 24/7, which is awesome! They have plenty of activities, including a weekly chess club, games, and a nice crowd. If I lived closer, Id be a regular!

I just asked the barista to make me something great, and they followed through. i’ve never had that nice of an experience at coffee places like starbucks. Common Grounds seems to be really good at what they do.

Really good place for late at night, since its a 24 hr place. Ive gone there with friends to play games for hours on end. You can bring a TV and a gaming console if you want, the owners are really chill. Good coffee products and snacks too.

The coffee itself is high quality and surprisingly cheap.Overall a 5/5 experience!

Loved this place until the new owners canned everyone who made this place famous and then stripped it of everything that made it special. Now its just good if you need coffee and everything else in a 3p mile radius is closed.

Great selection of drinks and a cool atmosphere. If you like board games or video games there are people playing here quite often. If youre looking to stop in on the weekend be warned that it is usually quite busy and bustling with lots of people. As a high school and college student in the late 90s and early 2000s I used to love going to Common Grounds. They had the best jukebox and cheap, but decent coffee along with other delightful coffee drinks.It was and is an essential place for youths, insomniacs, and misfits to gather at during the evening hours when you just dont want to be home.And during the day, you can get coffee there too, and you should, because it isnt just like every other sanitized boring old corporate coffee chain. It is a locally owned establishment that is an asset to the neighborhood. But it isnt the same as at night, I will say that.I popped in tonight for the first time in probably a decade (I live on the east side now) to get my sister, who was just down the street at Fairview Hospital, having recently just given birth to her second child, a Peanut Butter Albino. It was the only thing she asked me to do or get for her, so I was happy to oblige.Not a lot has changed in the past 20 years, which is pretty cool in a way. Its a little cleaner and brighter, which is nice. No longer is it filled with cigarette smoke, which isnt a bad thing, unless you still smoke. Hell, there was even a barista still working there from way back in the day! The only real bummer is that it is still a cash-only establishment.But as long as you know it is a cash only establishment, why not pop in if you are in the neighborhood.

Having a 24 hour coffee shop in my city is very convenient for when inspiration strikes me to complete some work at late hours. The coffee is great, and the atmosphere is great too; people are welcoming, and even open to differing opinions (as long as positive results emerge for all involved).

Really disappointed with this place for several reasons.1. Cash only, but 0 signs warning you about it. Wasnt told until I was handed my coffee and ready to pay.2. They have an ATM, and it charges a $3.50 fee.3. Service was rude.4. Coffee was flavorless and did not taste better than something that I could brew at home.5. Cups were made of crappy styrofoam... I get that youre trying to cut costs, but at least put coffee in something that it will taste good out of. Especially if you dont accept cards and I end up spending 8.50 on a coffee. First Impressions: It has a unique style in terms of coffee shops, definitely attracts the funky, grungy, alternative scene.Its a little bit dark in here, but still plenty of lighting enough.Bathrooms, I kind of felt like why bother washing my hands. But there was some cool art in there at least.24 hours is a nice feature for people on all schedules. It looks like its popular later in the evening which makes sense for the type of crowd it seems to be vibing with.I liked it for being unique, but it could use some more sustainable, healthy options as well as just a bit of sanitization.

I wanted nothing more than a simple large drip coffee from a local coffee shop. I watched the barista reheat cold brew with an espresso steamer and apparently drip was somehow translated to toddy. Then I was asked for $4.50. Surprise, its not good either.
