This place is always great. Meals under 5 dollars, decent coffee, friendly staff and they have Ohio lottery scratch offs. If I had someone visiting from outside the country I would take them here!

For years I’ve driven by and even as a kid called it the coke building but this morning I stopped in for breakfast. And I wish I had sooner for sure, very small place 12-15 people max! Coming in here is definitely like stepping back in time, 1 table that I saw and the rest is bar/counter seating. The menu has a nice selection and prices are fair, I ordered the Ashlee burrito and I was very good packed full of all the breakfast essentials lol. Over all great spot I definitely see why they’ve been there for as long as they have. Oh yeah CASH ONLY.

Good prices for average meals. I had the mushroom burger. I did very much like the fact that they punched a vent hole in the clamshell so that condensation doesnt build up. That was brilliant!

My first time here...If I could give 10 stars I would! Great atmosphere and people. Such a friendly place. I felt at home with all the foul language. 💯😂 Everyone was talking to eachother and just having a great time. The waitress was great and I love her tattoos. Oh and the food..on point! Absolutely amazing. I loved everything about this place and we will definitely be back! FYI, cash only establishment. If youve never been there, go experience it. Unless you are a Karen and cant handle the language. 💁‍♀️😂 No worries to parents...if you bring your kids in I seriously doubt they will hear cussing. So lets not be a Karen saying,well I guess I wont be bringing my kid. 😒🤦‍♀️😂

Delicious breakfast, but come with patience. Long wait even though we were the only 2 people there for a while. Ashlee burrito was enormous and smothered in sausage gravy. Southern skillet was topped with the biggest eggs weve ever seen. The portions are very generous and all food was hot and well seasoned. Only reason for 4 stars was speed of service, otherwise wonderful breakfast!

Just as I remembered, been 8yrs. But still serve a good hot dog. With fries also.

One of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. French fries were so crispy and fried perfectly. Chili was excellent. Service was awesome. Friendly and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Found by accident & glad we did! Quaint diner, reasonable prices, good food (the waffle was so yummy!) & a sweetheart of a waitress. The menu was small enough to not be overwhelmed with choices that are different from anywhere else. Cant wait to try the hot dogs!!

Typically these lil diners have yummy fresh food. Aside from it taking longer then expected to prepare my breakfast burrito the gravy was cold from a can and reheated in the microwave. What happened to the good days when we used a pan and stove top along with scratch ingredients to make taste food?

Plus no gloves were worn by the staff......!!!!Kinda defeats the purpose. Overpriced if you ask me.Paid $14 for an omelette and water with a tip.had to order an extra side of home friesbecause portion was too small.My waitress was too busy talking to other customers to give me good service I thought.She lucky I gave her a tip.This is too expensive for my budget.

Is a really good place for any kind of breakfast lunch or dinner. It is a really good restaurant the waitresses and a few waiters are really nice. They serve so fast and its not normally busy. Good place to go on the weekends my favorite is the Ashley burrito. This is a really good place I recommend it to anyone.

Today I was dining in with my lady and i made a stupid comment that turned into a tiff and put us off our appetite so we had to take our food to go. I adore Belinda, she is one of the waitress there and she is so kind and positive. When you bring children into this place, belinda goes out of her way to give your child and you a great experience. She will not allow you to sit in a dirty area, she keeps counters and chairs clean and will make sure you always have refreshments. She makes the place feel like home and like you belong. She is very punctual in her job and cares deeply about people. The food is great and the prices are decent. I will continue to visit very very often. Its hard to find a place that feels like home away from home.

The entries are delicious and generous. Depending on your appetite almost too generous! I thought I ordered eggs (a couple), a couple of small pancakes and a couple of sausage patties, I got 3 eggs, a huge portion of hash browns, two huge plate sized pancakes and two larges sausage patties! I was surprised by the amount of food, and shocked that I devoured it all!Unlike some retro restaurants that are just image, Charlies Dog House is the real thing!

I cannot resist a good greasy spoon diner, and this one, nestled in the corner of a parking lot and appearing as if pulled straight out of the 1960s, was an instant favorite. Serving all-day breakfast and staffed by entertaining characters, there isnt much not to like. There are only a handful of seats, so dont be surprised if you arrive to find it full.

Went here for mostly the novelty as I drive past it almost daily, and it was recently in the news for a movie filming there. The staff was very friendly, and food wasnt bad. It is definitely a small spot with not a lot of room though.

The waitress Belinda is the most amazing staff member in there. She is so kind, helpful, and you dont wait on fresh coffee because she is very quick to make sure you always have refreshments. Good food, decent prices, and lovely home feel.

Great little place. I live near by, walked the kids here, sat right down. Kids ordered some food, and chocolate milk. I got the Eggs Benedict. Service was great and kind, she gave the kids paper and crayons while they waited for there food. Food was great, kids had fun and well definitely be back!

The best Belgium waffle ever. Crispy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. The whole place fills with sweet Belgium aroma when the batter is placed on the iron. They also have great hot dogs. Lunch specials are very inexpensive for the amount of food you receive. It is a tiny diner that you sit at the bar.

Love the home cooked meals. Local conversation, great staff, good location. Adjacent to 480 and 77 interstates. Mini malls on either side, very convenient.

Ive been wanting to check this place out for years and Im glad I finally did! The food was excellent. Its traditional diner breakfast fare but you cant beat the quality. I got the Ashlee burrito (I took half home) and finished off with a fresh Belgian waffle with fresh fruit on top. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, hearty breakfast. They also serve lunch so Ill definitely be back to try that next!

Great diner style grub. Great breakfast and good burgers and dogs. If you like a little heat, try a burger with “jalapeno’s”, bacon, and cheddar. It’ll fill your gut and make you sweat at the temples.

The food was delicious and the employees are very friendly and they treat everyone like family. I highly recommend coming here. My fiance and I will be coming back soon.

Ive been going to Charlies off and on for about 20 yrs.Its a tiny breakfast and lunch place so arrive early is my best advice.I had a Chicago Hot Dog and a chocolate shake.Cant wait to go back!

Its okay. The breakfast food, service, and prices are nothing special. The prices are on the higher side. The lady serving behind the counter is not the nicest person - slightly grumpy - she might be nicer to the regulars vs a newbie.They only have counter seats and about 15-20 seats. I love that their building is in the shape of a dog house - that is what attracted us there in the first place. One huge thing about this place - THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS for their customers to use. I have never run into this situation - they send their customers to other stores in the plaza.I most likely will not be going there again - heard there is a good breakfast place about 5 minutes down the road from here - Im going to give this next place a try.

I love coming here because it has a great feel and great food. My favorite is the pancakes! Once you have been there once they remember you and it is always fun to joke around! If you want a small diner feel with great service, food and Prices, I highly recommend!

Come here for the eggs Benedict, hash brown, and sometimes for lunch the chicken sandwich.Its priced well and it tastes good compared to lets say Bob Evans and the portion size is generous. Most importantly I usually order before work and they ALWAYS have it ready and waiting.

Took a long time to get our food but the pancakes and whole meal were so delicious. They do not have a bathroom so you have to use the adjacent mr hero, but those pancakes... 😍 its a truly tiny place, but it didnt feel claustrophobic. No frills micro-diner with the basics, done right. Id eat here again.
