The two stars are for the salesperson and the large furniture selection. The rest of the experience was horrible. I searched and purchased a couch and dining room table and chairs from Sheila. She was very helpful and professional. The delivery day came and Sheila had wrote a note on the delivery sheet telling the driver to call me at least 10 minutes before delivery time so that I could come home and meet them. I got a text from the driver that read like it was from the store. It said the delivery team had gotten there and could not get it. So I text back that I was on my way, I headed home ( 10 minutes away). I saw the truck at a gas station 3 milles from my home. I stopped and one of the team said they would head back to my home. They made it back to my home only to be unable to maneuver the furniture into my home. Which would not have been a huge problem if the driver of the team wasnt rude and arrogant. They had already gotten the couch almost completely in, if he could have lifted it up and turned it a little, it would have fit. He didnt want any advise on how to get it in the room. My new painted doors and frames were scratched up during this whole process but the furniture suffered the most. When the driver snapped at me and glared at my Son, I was done. I said I guess you can take it back. He was all to happy to head back out with it. Poor Sheila, no commission for her. I called to tell her that the furniture was coming back. She was upset, of course. She put Chandler on the phone who was going to take care of everything!! He asked that I send pictures of the space and he would get back to me after looking at them. That was four days ago. No phone call back, from anyone. I didnt purchase $10,000 in furniture, but small purchases are a companies bread and butter. Its important to build good customer relationships to get people to continue shopping at your business. And a employee does disrespect a client in their own home. I wont ever shop here again.
COMPLETE LACK OF INTEGRITY. We ordered our furniture on 2/13/2021 which was delivered on 4/17/2021. Very comfortable and exactly what we wanted UNTIL 8/6/2021 when the springs under one end of the sofa broke. I called the store and explained the situation. Instead of apologies or shock, the response was simply Oh, youll have to talk to our customer service person and she doesnt come in til 11:00. Plus I dont know how many calls she has ahead of you so it may not be today when she calls you back. Excuse me, what? It was a Saturday so I get not coming in until later in the day but the not even 6 month old sofa, a substantial financial investment just snapped apart and youre not sure when if it warrants a same day call back?Fortunately, I did receive a call back later that day but again no Im so sorry that happened, oh no thats unfortunate, nothing. Instead it was Let me check with our repair guy and see when somebody can come out and take a look. Ill call you back. TWO DAYS LATER when I had not heard anything, I called Scotts Furniture back and was told oh yeah, um we might have somebody coming down that way Saturday and IF we do, theyll call you that day with a 2 hour window and then she rushed off the phone. Another day goes by and I call again as we have lives, and jobs, and other commitments and are unable to spend days on end with might and maybe. Not to mention the fact that a defective product should warrant a special trip.At this point, when given another answer of we might have someone in your area, I expressed how poor the customer service has been. We are unable to sit on our furniture and cannot get a definitive answer as to when it may be repaired or replaced. At least during this call, the CSR I had been dealing with handed our case off to someone else who at least expressed concern that the product we were sold was defective. However, after a brief wait and a call back we still are no closer to a repair and are still waiting on might and maybe . We do live about 45 miles from the store, which does fall within their delivery area but evidently not within the service area. It has become very apparent that Scotts furniture does not care about quality, customers, or integrity. Buyer beware.***UPDATE: Shortly after this review was posted on 8/12, I received a call that our sofa would be picked up on 8/14 and returned on 8/18. We shall see.
What a big beautiful show room with a large selection of furniture. Found the perfect sofa for an incredible price and ordered it...cant wait to have it delivered. Shelia was absolutely amazing and patient with my indecisiveness...Thank you Ms Shelia!I just have to say that Scotts Furniture and Shelia Walker could teach our Transportation Czar and Biden a thing or two about how to get things moving in the United States during a shipping crisis. Absolutely love this place, Jeff Allen is fantastic. He helped me find the perfect couch, and helped find 2 absolutely gorgeous recliners. My husband and I had been to several furniture stores looking at furniture by different manufacturers. We weren’t looking to be sold but just looking for a store that would treat us in a way that would make us want to do business there. We found that at Scott’s with Jamie Henson. He treated us with kindness and respect from the time we entered the door until we were done furnishing our brand new home with all the nice items we found at Scott’s. Jamie was very helpful, very informative, and gave us everything we were looking for in a sales person. We will use Scott’s Furniture along with Jamie Henson for years to come. More than satisfied with our experience at Scott’s!!
You guys dont even deserve one star. We specifically ordered this furniture for my grandmother. We had to have a certain height and width specially made for her so it was easier for her to get up off of. Not once but FOUR times you guys have lied to us about the furniture being delivered. I have never been so disappointed in a company!!!
Good sales with just about every holiday and free delivery upto 50 miles. Furniture is cheap prices so its affordable. Ive been buying from these guys for 20 years or so.
We bought a Catnapper Tosh 1271 reclining sofa and also a cabinet for our new home. We had major problems with the sofa after having it 2 weeks, Chandler Edmonson, the manager was there for us the whole 48 days it took for us to get this resolved!I would NEVER recommend a Catnapper product, all they did was lie everytime they were called or emailed.Although Robin in customer service was nice and friendly on the phone, she never would follow up and email or call you back.Chandler was always prompt in returning calls and did what he said he would do!I would definitely recommend Chandler if you go to Scotts.
Went into the store a few weeks ago and no one helped us. Everyone was just standing around. Was there for roughly 30 min and no one said anything to us. Granted you don’t like to be hassled when you go into furniture stores but I have never went into one and no one greet you or ask if they can help you. So then I call yesterday and talk to a man who says he will call me back in 30 min on the furniture I was interested in online. Never heard anything. I really like a lot of there pieces but I will not buy furniture from a store with such poor customer service.
My fiancé and I bought a sectional from Don. We loved that they gave us space to look around without being super pushy about buying. We ended up finding a couch we loved. The prices are amazing! The couch we bought would’ve been easily $1000 more anywhere else. Their financing is very easy to work with. Because of COVID the shipping takes a couple weeks. Every other furniture store we went to is having the same issue but Scott’s makes the wait worth it! Overall we had a great experience and will be buying furniture from them again. Thanks Don!
Great selection, owner is super nice, and so are all of the employees I spoke with. Just the right balance of helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy and making you uncomfortable. They give you space when you need it, but theyre available when you need them, too.

Friendly service and a wide variety to choose from. Same quality and name brands sold at other local furniture stores. We found a French country table and chairs that would be perfect in our kitchen after the remodeling is done. Cant wait to go back and get it! They have a clearance room also and I believe they advertise free delivery up to 50 miles!
Ive purchased furniture and accessories from Scotts Furniture on a few different occasions. Each experience has been satisfactory. Weve had furniture delivered without any incident, the prices are better than chain stores, the salespeople allow you to shop in peace, and the pieces Ive purchased have been quality.I recently purchased a bed from Laura Harmon there, and she was very friendly & helpful!

I ordered my couch and recliner in August and it was finally delivered yesterday. When the delivery guy ask where do you want it placed and I showed him where the recliner was ti go he said there was only a sofa.He quickly git in the phone and they immediately sent it out on another truck.My original delivery guys Nate and Swan stayed and brought it in themselves to make sure I was completely satisfied.They were very thoughtful annd careful with my delivery. Just want to thank them.I also realize that this covid is making delivery take months to get orders filled but if its a piece you really love be patient

Jeff Allen was a great help with our purchase. He was honest about the delays due to COVID. He said it may take 3 to 4 weeks and it only took the 3 weeks to get our furniture back. The guys in pick up were super helpful with loading and making sure that everything was secure. This is our second purchase from Scotts with the first being in 2005. Thanks for the great customer service and help.
I understand that this time is unprecedented with Covid shutdowns and being flexible is important, however, we ordered a couch in June and are not even sure it’s going to make it mid-September. It’s a beautiful couch and the price was unmatched, but the communication has been slow, and the waiting incredibly long. Initially the expected delivery was July. That changed to September. That changed to August, then the couch came in the wrong color so it’s back to September. I called to see if I could get a discount for the long wait, but they declined. I wouldn’t say this has been a good experience. Maybe it’s better when Covid isn’t an issue. My piece of advice is to not order something. If it’s available in the showroom that may have a better, not as drawn out, outcome.

Me and mom went into purchase a bedroom suit, we were greeted by Jamie, whom later was busy with another sale, so I asked for help from two other salesmen and not one was willing to help us.I have purchased two living room suits from Scotts, this is the first I have ever had poor service, the Salesmen were terrible.

Do not go here for any reason. They will lie and lie and lie about availability of items and delivery dates. They use every excuse they can think of to avoid responsibility to their customers. Any delivery date they tell you is 6+ months later than what they say. Worst experience with a business I have ever had in my life.
We ordered our couch on January 2 & we were told it would be 6-8 weeks for delivery. We were okay with that & didn’t expect immediate delivery. Called today, March 8th, to see if we could get an estimated date for delivery (since we are well past our 6-8 week window we were told.) We were just told it would be April 24th before delivery. If we had known it would take 4 months, we would have gone somewhere else. Just hoping this helps someone that is maybe in a hurry to get their couch, don’t go here.
Has a large variety of choices in furniture and brought a living room set even though I had to go over and get an associate to help us, figured we looked like we dont have money like everyone else they were quick to help instead of us. 5 stars for furniture, 1 for assistance= 3 stars and it should be lower.

The delivery people was very good at their job, part to attach mirror to dresser was left off truck they drove back to Cleveland and got the parts and drove back to signal mtn. People in the back don’t do their job correctly. Bought a power recliner an got it home an was Manuel just because the box says one thing doesn’t mean it’s correct. Need to check their products before selling them had to drive back to store to figure it all out an would barely work with me. An the so called owner does not have any customer service skills. And no management to be found. Place was a joke!

I am in the same boat. I ordered in May and was told delivery would be 7 to 10 days. Then I was told Aug 8. Now I’m told September 28. I’m hoping production will get moved up. I hope have my Sola and Loveseat soon. Going this way I’ll be lucky to get it by Christmas. On the other hand, I’m thankful to have a roof over my and Food to eat. Let’s all pray for everyone that has been effected by Covid 19, this includes Scott’s Furn. 😇

I spent over $3000 on furniture and then it broke within 3 months and they wouldnt honor the warranty and today Im calling decided since they were never gonna fix the furniture and itd been over 2 years theres no warranty that would take it apart and fix it myself to find out it was nothing but particle board and cardboard.
I was in Scotts Furniture on 5-28-2020, purchased a sofa and 2 recliners. I was told the recliners would have to be ordered by salesperson, Laura. I asked how long does it take to get them she said two weeks. After the two weeks was up I sold my old living I called on the next week to check on them the person I spoke with says it takes 4 weeks. I asked since I have no furniture could you delivered the sofa they first said No it all had to be delivered at the same Tim. After numerous calls to them checking on the recliners they agreed to deliver the sofa as now Im told the recliners wont be in until the middle of August. Now this is six weeks. I was lied to from the day of purchase and then told I would have to pay the entire balance when sofa was delivered since I had put down a 315.00 deposit. I dont think so. Im not paying for something I have no idea when I will get the recliners. Im just letting you know if you buy something that has to be ordered Beware you will get a different date every time you call. I dont ever plan to buy anything else from Scotts Furniture Cleveland To.
Very disappointed in my first shopping experience at Scotts in Cleveland. My wife and I went to Scotts on Memorial Day 2019, and bought a Lane Love Seat and Sofa. After a few months of sitting on the sofa, I started to notice when I would raise the foot rest, it would start making an awful noise under the seat cushion like springs grinding. I originally thought maybe something was just hung up and would straighten itself out. The cushions were also looking like the furniture was 10 years old. I called Scotts and told them what was going on. They told me the person that handles that was not in, but would call me back. The next week, I still had not heard anything, so I called back. After explaining what was going on, the person I was talking to said it sounded like the mechanism was bad. They would have to come look at it, and if that was the case, would order a new one from Lane. I said OK, and asked when they could come and look at it and order another one. They told me oh, we cant come until we have a delivery to that area. We do not live in Cleveland, but live only 32 miles from Scotts. They said the only way the could come and look at it, was if and when they had a delivery to the area where I live. That could be weeks, months, who knows. Its been over a week since I spoke with them, and in the mean time, we have furniture, that we paid good money for, that is very uncomfortable to sit in. I am attaching two pictures, one of the Love Seat, and one of the Couch. Neither had been sat in for over 12 hours when the pictures were taken. On the sofa, you can see how the seat cushion is depressed especially in the back, compared to the others beside it. You can also see the difference in the back cushions. The back cushion on the love seat, you can certainly see the indentations. This is in less than 8 months. Scotts is not to blame for the quality of the furniture, but so far their customer service is on the same level as the quality of the Lane furniture. Will probably be out last purchase from Scotts Furniture.Update Feb 21, 2020Scotts brought out a brand new sofa to replace the one previously purchased. They did do what they said they would do, and I appreciate that. Changing to 4 stars on review.
Paid in full for furniture April 17 was told at that time we would have furniture no later than 2 weeks later. Now May 25 and still no furniture. I have called 4 times and have been given 4 different dates. Today the answer was it will ship from Ashley 06/11. All Scott’s will do is say I’m sorry. No resolution.
I try to support local businesses, however, Scott’s Furniture has the absolute worst customer service, completely outdated system for paperwork and tracking items, the manager is the grandson to the owners and he is very undertrained. We waited over 4 months for a couch. Come to find out after calling to check the status on a weekly basis (WE had to call THEM), it was just sitting in the stock room and the “manager” didn’t know where the couch had come from. They FINALLY delivered the couch and it didn’t fit around a corner (not their fault) BUT the delivery guys scratched and dented our freshly painted walls and ceiling. MAD is an understatement. Never again Scott’s Furniture. NEVER AGAIN!!!

If I could give this store a negative star I would. Save yourself the trouble and dont bother shopping here. The products are cheaply made, the customer service is absolutely deplorable. Does bait and switch sound familiar? Because thats exactly what goes on here with this level of dishonesty. Theyll tell you ANYTHING you want to hear for you to buy their product, but behold - when something goes and trust me it will, theyll tell you in order for them to uphold the warranty you would have had to buy other products from them initially, which of course they dont tell you. Basically, so they dont have to honor the warranty. We bought a mattress from them in March, within a month the side of the mattress started to cave in. It took Scotts until May to come out. Never heard from them. So I called them in June, heard nothing, called back again in July, nothing. Finally, my fiancé went into the store and was told that they would have only honored the warranty if we bought base units from them. We were NEVER told that when we bought the mattress. Completely DISHONEST people. We paid well over $1400 for a mattress 4 months ago that is falling apart. I would not recommend this store or its dishonest practices to anyone.

I was so happy when I found Scott’s until I did business with them. My husband and I went and bought an entire house worth of furniture from mattress, bedroom set, dining tables and sectional with ottoman. We dropped over $4500 that day. That was mid August. We were told we would wait no more than 8 weeks by their salesman Don. 8 weeks passed and nothing. Slowly piece by piece was delivered and it is now the beginning of November and we still have yet to get all our furniture! After calling to find out the delay multiple times we kept being told it would be longer and longer! Now we are being told we won’t have a couch until next year at the end of January!!! When we asked for a refund we were told there were none. When we expressed how we were never told about this no refund policy we were told it was listed on our receipt. How would we know there is no refunds when we aren’t told until after we give you our money!? This is a total scam! Now we are left waiting for another $1300 worth of furniture since August with no guarantee when it will arrive! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DONT GO HERE! They will not live up to their word and give you endless excuses instead of trying to assist in making the he situation right. Horrible Customer service skills and bad business all around.UPDATE!!!!: as of 11/20/20 we finally received our couch and ottoman. (Still missing two dining chairs) upon arrival, the delivery drivers informed me that my couch I’ve waited 3 months for are ripped in the back and they would have to replace it. After further inspection there is white stains on the couch itself under the cushions... don’t even want to know and the stitching has strings hanging all over the place. So now I have something to sit on but it’s definitely not what I paid for! When the new couch to replace this one will arrive, who knows!? Again, I have been disappointed by Scott’s Furniture. I wish I would have paid a little higher prices...it’s obvious it pays for better Cust service and quality.🤦♀️Final update: finally received my two additional dining chairs arrived on Friday April 9th of 2021. The best part of their arrival was that it was the last time I’d ever have to deal with Scott’s Furniture. Also, the ripped couch we received from the start was never replaced. Instead they offered to fix it themselves but taking we waited months and months without a couch it seemed fruitless to give it back not being given a return time. Not to mention we have no trust for this company at all. We asked for a refund and they told us no refunds would be given but instead offered credit and again we would wait to receive our new couch. So we were forced to keep a damaged item that was way over priced and over delayed.Overall, if you want to do yourself a favor don’t shop here! It’s a waste of time, a waste of money and they are thieves! The sales people don’t inform you of the store policies prior to buying then you’re stuck! Total scam!
Extremely dissatisified with Scotts furniture. Id picked out my furniture, literally told the salesman what I wanted, and then he immediately took me around the place trying to sell me pricier, more expensive items as if Id not said a word. I went ahead with the sale anyway and the guy couldnt take my money fast enough, now Ive been waiting on a sofa, recliner and bed set since June. Was told it was be delivered on July 17th and it still hasnt arrived. Every time I call, Im told it may be on the delivery truck this coming Wednesday. Zero effort by the staff to get this taken care of. I get that things are affected by the Covid, but still,... should not take this long to get a sofa or at least have some action taken by the seller to assist their customers.I am going to move my rating up a star. I did finally get my Furniture on Tuesday, but it took them two attempts. Sofa was missing from the first delivery. I called and spoke to the salesman. He had them load the sofa and come back. I am adding a 2nd star because the delivery men were nice and professional and made a 2nd trip.

Drove 50 miles to purchase a specific set of furniture. Had already spoken to a salesperson on the phone, then met the person immediately upon arrival at the store. Explained clearly, we are here to purchase, we would just like to explore the store merchandise to make sure we are happy with our decision. Within 20 minutes we had to explain again, no, we are not ready yet, as we have already said, we will definitely come find you when we are ready, no less than 4 additional times. We are two 40 ish adults, we didnt have children running up and down the furniture or anything else that would require such supervision. We actually ended up liking a more expensive set that was on display in the store. Due to the salespersons inability to listen to the client, we actually purchased the more expensive set about an hour later online, at a higher price....I prefer to buy local, but these companies have to reign in their salespeople so they dont follow customers around the store like salivating hyenas......

They kept lying saying they didnt have all our furniture in, which is okay but they kept switching what. First was one night stand, then when we called back the headboard, then became both nightstands. They didnt even keep us informed what was happening. Something they swore would only take a few weeks has now been almost 2 months. Got our refund and will never buy from them again. They have really gone down hill over the years.

I have done business with Scotts since 2009. I have always enjoyed doing business with until this time. Bought a 2 items one of which they had to order was told that it would 4-6 weeks maybe before. We called and to seen if it had came it only to be told that was it now going to be October. Now mind you that the item had to be paid for up front to be ordered, drive 1 hour to get over there, looked around to TRY and find something that would would work with a brand new couch, well nothing well the told us that we could get a refund so we in and then the said that it would have to go on the original form of payment I told them the they had already received their money and that card was all ready taking care off. Not one compromise not one sorry just a very snooty manager that dont seem like she wants to be there nor has any customer service. So I would be very careful on purchasing something that has to be ordered or you have wasted your money and time and then on top of that now has new matching livingroom set that now no longer matches... cause they wont take the one back.

Liked the furniture but acted like we were not even there too busy talking to each other prices were too high did not like our visit have been there twice same experience both times asked for help never came to us. So if you like to be incredible you can go there I do not care for them or prices rude will not be going back said clearance but did not find them. Bed experience we thought So just keep on trucking well I guess if we were dressed to the max might had someone wait on us sad they carted that way...
I bought an electric recliner about 2 months ago. We pain around $1000.00 for it and the panel was broken. I have been promised it would be repaired several times with no luck. I have been promised return calls with updates and have not received that either. Will never buy from them again.

Went to Scotts to purchase a sleeper sofa, they had a limited selection but found one that was close to what we wanted. While we were there we were told we got $100 off of another purchase so I also purchased a computer desk. I was told the desk was not in stock but I should be able to get one in about a week. The couch arrived the next week and after the deliverers left we noticed a small hole that had been torn onto the bottom corner of the back where it looked like it had snagged during delivery, instead of going thru the long process of trying to get a replacement we patched the hole ourselves. Called today about the desk that was promised in a week (now going on two weeks) and was told Scotts was having delivery problems and it would not be shipped to them for another week and ever longer to get it delivered to me. I ask about canceling the order and getting a refund I was told in no uncertain terms since the desk was special order (which I was not told about at the time of purchase) there could be no refund. So it is unknown when I will ever get my desk. After this experience I serious doubt I will make anymore purchases at this store.Do not trust whats told to you there make sure you get it in writing on delivery times and the refund policy.
We purchased a reclining sectional & recliner for $1,703 on July 4, 2020. We have yet to receive it. Originally we were told it would be 7-10 days, that progressed to August 15-31. Now we are being told September 25. This place is a waste of time and money!!! They do not see an issue with the length of time it’s taken either!
We bought our new living room set from here. Love the owners she was so nice to us. Sent us a nice thank you note with a hand written note. Would recommend for anyone looking for new furniture.

Lot to offer. Organized and easy to view furniture. Only complaint is the sales person stays with u throughout the store until u leave. I hv shopped there for many years and I find that annoying
My husband and I bought a couch there and we absolutely love it! I’ve spilt chili on it multiple times and it still doesn’t stain! Would 10/10 recommend!!! The salesmen are super friendly and helpful! Chandler and Scott are the men to talk to!
Lots of nice furniture at great prices. We bought a bed and 2 nightstands and currently have a chest of drawers in layaway. We will continue to come to Scotts for our furniture needs.

Found exactly what I was looking for. Bought it on no tax day and saved quite a bit of money. My saleslady Sheila was awesome. She didnt hover but was close by when I needed her. She knew exactly where everything I asked about was located so I didnt have to walk the entire store. Very impressed.
The people are so nice. LOTS of selections. Good prices. Theres even a clearance room. And they have (had?) a TEA chair! A comfy chair with types of tea written on it! I wish I couldve bought that.
Great local furniture store. The prices are reasonable and the staff is amazing. The delivery drivers were on time and careful with my furniture. Will return for future furniture needs.

We have purchased 2 sofas from Scotts over a period of 5 years. First one was worthless after a period of time and we were stupid enough to go back and purchase another one made by a different company. The sales woman Shelia assured us the same thing would not happen to it. Guess what..it has ...we paid $1100 for it and its 13 months old and I was told today by Scotts we would be responsible for any repairs to it if they deemed necessary. I called the manufacturer and they do not stand behind any warranties either. So much for warranties and customer service from Scotts. Go to some cheap place and buy...probably last longer.

Scotts Furniture Company is a locally owned business that has been serving the Cleveland area for as long as I can remember. Everyone in town knows about and shops from Scotts.The store itself is very well run, looks good, and has a great selection. Anything you cant find in store can be ordered for you!The actual furniture I have purchased was always very fairly priced, and they deliver for FREE.Scotts is a true business landmark for the entire southeast Tennessee region.

Not happy with my experience at all. Yes they delivered which was great and even our sales woman was very nice but they do not disclose all information up front. If you are late by one day there is a 15 late fee and the very first time it happens they immediately take away the same as cash option. I will never go here again and I will warn others as well.
