Depending on what cashier you end up with. Its either a really good experience or a check out from hell.On that note for those who purchase wet friskiest. Pay attention to the prices. Some of the cans are .54 cents NOT .58. you will have to take a picture for proof or you wont get it @ that price

Good prices and good selection of merch. If your in need of a handicapped cart this is not the place to visit. They have them. However, everytime we go there the handicapped carts are not charged. When discussing this problem with the employee, she didnt real care and said there wasnt anything she could do about it.

Automotive got us in and out in 30 minutes. Amazing customer service. Yall need to pay them way more then yall are.

Check out lines are to long ridiculous. There isnt any scanners anywhere in the store crazy especially when the signs are still up saying that there is a scanner there . A lot of merchandise is out of stock. Why did this store remove there benches? Ive recently had total knee replacement surgery and it would be nice to be able to shop longer. But I have to get my stuff and leave cause I cant stay on my knee that long without resting for 10 or 15 minutes

Make sure you bring in your own cart.

This place has really gone down hill.....they dont have anyone to get carts so bring your own in just to be sure you get one. Their shelves are almost empty. It was not a great shopping trip at all!

Only 2 ck outs open with lines >4deep. Went to selfck out & only half were open & refused to open more as they were 4deep waiting. I gave assistant my cart of over a hundred $$ worth of products & said heres the sales you lost today & left.

Similar to other walmart stores. Low prices and wide selection.

Had some issues with my glasses. The gal in the vision department fixed me up in just a couple minutes even though I did not purchase glasses from Walmart. To top it off she charged me nothing. Prompt service with no charge, hard to beat that deal. Very pleased, thank you Walmart!

They have most anything you need and rarely ever ever do they have enough check out lanes like the good old days.

So convient! Just be very careful in the parking lot (I mean of course right) but it can get easily crowded and some cars act like they have the right away..has happened to me and Ive seen it. Thankfully no injury (Ive witnessed or know of) but so much disbelief for suure. This is just my honest opinion. Be careful even when you normally are anyways.

I was there 4Hours trying to return an item I purchased on your website and paid with affirm. The employee which was a Manager had no clue you even had a payment option using affirm. Long story short you need to train your managers better update your system so the purchase is returned on my affirm account and not give me virtual gift cards. Which do me no good. Because Affirm doesnt except gift cards towards payments. After several attempts of contacting your corporate office talked to 3 different departments and they were absolutely no help at all. I ended up getting 2 prepaid credit cards. Which the store manager did cover the activation Fees. This is the only reason I gave 2 stars. Never again will I purchase anything online using affirm with Walmart. Walmart corporate you really need to get your employees trained better at assisting customer and revamp your registers to put the purchase back to the form of payment used.😒

Disappointed in their plants... they order stock in and seems as tho most plants are not cared for end up dried up or dead... a total waste of money... and so many times items I look for are not there.... pickings on shelves are often slim or none... I dont know what the problem is but it does need to be checked out .. I will say that the staff have been polite and helpful but the stock is an issue...

Always Good selection. Only 3 cashiers. Sometimes there are zero cashiers forcing self-checkout as only option.

I used to love their online ordering platform now its just horrible, if you order anything on the Walmart site and the Clinton store happens to have it they force you to use Doordash for delivery which is so unreliable my order has been delayed 3 times, because they refuse to ship with another carrier. Lesson learned stay away from Walmart and just use Amazon its not worth the trouble, their Clinton store was bad enough and now they have screwed up their online platform. Quarter 4 sales will be interesting to watch bet anything they drop and Amazon picks-up the business.

This is one of my favorite places to shop at for household necessities.

We do most of our shopping here since its a one stop with a family of 5. Unfortunately, theres hardly ever any registers open and the self check out lines are usually a long and chaotic wait. Also, when we search things online and they say they are in store, its usually not true. They could at least keep up on that... But again, its probably the best store around for a family of 5 needing many types of items.

Can never find what Im looking for. Items are never in proper places so you end up spending more on items because the actual price is not the price you seen on the shelf where the item was. Employees are rude. Seem to see more of them standing around doing nothing while you are expected to stand in a line 30+ mins sometimes to be rung through by an employee. You stand in lines for self check outs especially on busy days and then after youve done their job and checked yourself out they then make a line you wait in so they can check your receipts. Most of my visits now I end up leaving with maybe half my list and irritated.

Hardly any creamer, thats not good for the rest of humanity.....why would you put any husband through the pain of coming home empty handed when given one thing to get...sugar free creamer. #disappointed

All self scan and go stations were filled there was a line of people 8deepwaiting. 4 regular lanes were open and 4 deep. I went to customer service and suggested they open up more lanes. Never did see any more open.time was 5:39 pm

Called every department in the store cant get a single department to answer ever on any day absolutely ridiculous

Found some cool stuff today!

All of the produce was out of order. From vegetable cooler, meats, eggs, and dairy products. I know its not Walmarts fault but it was crazy cuz couldnt get any food, and just about all the drinks were gone as well. All the Gatorade, favored waters, juices, almost everything in the drink section was gone. Lucky there was some water left.

Its a normal Wal-Mart. Pretty dirty though. Self check out only the two times I went there. The lady at the front of the store was very helpful. Avoid if possible.

Nice variety of merchandise and grocery. Pleasant staff. Easy to locate. Could be cleaner floor care needs attention swapped and scrubbed. Fair prices... cant wait to be 24 hours open. Many shop different hours due to work and life schedules.

The management here do a terrible job. There are one or two cashiers working a shift and everyone is forced to do self checkout, so you can imagine the long lines. Everything is getting locked up and instead of increasing security, the solution is to stop everyone with an item that is not bagged (cases of pop, brooms, etc) so staff go through your receipt while you are trying to leave. When you need to purchase an item that is locked, your item goes straight to customer service where you cannot get it because of the long lines you have to wait in. This place is a joke. I will not spend my hard earned money here any longer. You’ve lost weekly grocery shoppers here.

The reality of convenient grocery pick-up in Clinton, IA today.Yesterday I knew I would be on a tight schedule but needed to get some groceries. So, I placed a pickup for 5-6pm. I was planning to pick up before I dropped my daughter off at gymnastics at 5:30. On my way I received a notification that they were running late, no problem, I figured Id drop her off to her hour class then come back and get my order instead of staying to watch.I get her at 5:45 and wait.... at 6 I get a notification that my order is ready. Awesome, I have just enough time for them to load it before I have to be back to get my daughter.I move into a spot and.... again.... wait. 15 minutes go by and I have to leave or my 5 year old would be left with no one to pick her up. I call the number posted.... no answer. So I left and called until I got an answer to tell them I would be back.I go pick her up and come back. EVERY SPOT IS FILLED. And the parking spots behind the pickup are filled with people waiting to pull into a pickup spot.As I sit here watching for my turn to take an open spot I watch ONE employee enter and exit the building loading cars. ONE.This is terrible service. I should have been home already feeding my kids dinner. Instead I sit here and wait.***edited to add***@7:20pm an associate cam end asked what the name on my order was. And hour and 20 minutes after the latest pickup time in the slot I had chosen.

Terrible customer service. We had to go grab some groceries and some for my mother too. So she watched our 3 yr old so we could get it done faster. The store was closing when we walked to the cash registers the employees told us everyone had to self check out. Which was a complete pain we had to do 2 separate transactions because we were picking up stuff for my mother. And also figure out how to find the fruit on the screen figure out the number code for each fruit and weigh it. So as we try to do all of this with no where to set our stuff but back in our cart as we check out we had a separate pile of my mothers things on top of the bags of stuff we were in the middle of buying when an employee comes over and makes a rude comment about the stuff on our cart like we r trying to steal it. I told her NO this is my mothers stuff Im picking up for her. Then we finally got both separate transactions rung up and paid for. As we walked out we went to use the side door when another employee banged his hand on the front door and just pointed meaning we couldnt use the side door close to were we parked. Which was fine but when I asked him if we had to use the front doors he banged on he would not answer me back and just pointed to the door very rude. This was the worst experience at a store I have ever had. The worst customer service. Had I known at night they make u self check out even if your cart is completely full...and the night employees were so rude I would have just gone to Hy-Vee. And in the future we will not waste our hard earned money on that store ever again.

Place has empty shelfs. Staff is untrained and dont know where things are. Beware of thefts in and out of store!

Stocking of items has been dreadful lately along with waiting forever to check out - I dont have a problem with self checkouts but they should all be open if thats going to be the only option.

Its walmart. I mean, what else is there to say? Mostly friendly staff, a few people suck, but thats real life.

I became sick asked two employees to get me a electric scooter as I could not walk to the front of the store. They got on their radio and requested someone bring one to me. They left me alone, after they were told I was having problem. 20 minutes later no scooter, I ended up walking from the back of the store to the front on my on. They did not care that I needed help.

I hate not having cashiers and everything is out of order and a complete mess. This goes for all of them

Long lines to check out, even self check out was backed up

I went to this Walmart today and checked out at 12:06pm. I didn’t see any signs saying you couldn’t use re-usable bags (if there are signs I didn’t see them). So, I brought in my three bags and went about my shopping. When I got to the checkout lane I let the clerk know I had my own bags and wouldn’t need the plastic ones. She said “okay” in a high pitched voice and started scanning. When I moved to the front to start packing my bags I noticed she was putting them all in the plastic bags. I told her “Oh, I said I brought my own..” she then told me that even though they couldn’t stop people from bringing them in that because of Covid they couldn’t use them. Okay, well why didn’t she say that when I told her I brought my bags in? I asked her if I could still use them if I packed them myself. She hesitated like she didn’t actually know the answer and said “no.” Covid is a serious thing, and I appreciate them for trying to keep people safe, however I don’t see how me packing my own bag is an issue. Had I been at self checkout I would have been able to use them myself, like I did the week prior to this. I will accept their store policy, but it just doesn’t make sense that someone can’t even pack their own re-usable shopping bag.

Not changing my review... Still 3 star. Long lines today. Even had to wait in a line for self checkout (which I try to never use). They were out of lot of very basic things I wanted like paper plates, ham lunch meat, and cauliflower rice. It was a Saturday so what should I expect?

Its the only Walmart here i get that but this place is always out of everything shelfs are always empty . im not sure if they dont no how to order correctly or what but good luck ever getting what you need at this place ! They also just close when they want not at 11 pm we were in there on 3-24-21 at 10:00 standing in line waiting and they closed the register right in front of us and said sorry we are closed after standing there for 10 minutes are you kidding me really what the hell every happen to good customer service worst place here wish there was another place to shop here !

Jest left Walmart and it was horrible in there, it was supper busy and they only had one cashier! (Angela). People where literally leaving their carts and walking out with nothing because they got tired or waiting! Do better Walmart. Good job to Angela she was literally keeping things moving all on her own !

The management is absolutely horrific and horrendous. They don’t answer the phone even when they hear it ringing.(called for 6 hours straight without an answer, went to the store to see if I could talk to someone and of course nobody to assist. Tried calling in the store and seen a associate pick up the phone just to set it back down to hang up) The knowledge of Human Resources at this location is unprecedented and very good rude. I do NOT recommend this store what do ever as it is run by Neanderthals of a billion dollar corporation who don’t even bother to pick up a phone to answer a customer.

Walmart used to be a great store but inventory on certain items has gotten pretty bad. I used to enjoy taking the kids so they could look at movies and toys but they really dont want to go anymore since the selection on both has gotten pretty sad

Has been awhile since we have driven to the Clinton, IA store. Fairly well stocked on most items we were looking for. Clean store for the time of day we were there. My issue was that when we went to checkout they only had 3 lanes open and they were backed as well at the self checkout area. They only had one self checkout area open as well. Maybe they were short staffed. Otherwise it was nice to get the items we were looking.
