I’ve lived in Clinton for most of my life but oddly enoughi never noticed the Mohamed and sons jewellery until I really needed to size my ring. The moment I walked in, a young man greeted me very pleasantry, and offered me a cold bottle of water even before I could open my mouth and tell him what I was there for. When he found out that all I needed was a ring sizing, he was very swift in getting all my papers in order, and filling out my release slips all at the same time while dealing with another costumer. This is a very professional and competent group.

After describing to Mohamed the type of Ruby earrings that I knew my Wife would be happy with he assured me that he would make sure I would be more than satisfied. He ended up custom ordering a beautiful pair of 18kt gold screw back 1.00 ct Ruby earrings that I was very pleased with. It was very important to find 18k gold post because anything less than that would cause my Wife to have a severe reaction. The screw backs where too small so Mohamed made sure I got the exact screw backs to match the earrings. My Wife was overjoyed with the earrings. My husband inherited some jewelry from his Mother. When we tried to sell his inheritance we were not offered a reasonable price. When we went to Mohamed and Son‘s jewelers in Clinton Maryland the owner tested our merchandise by using an acid test and verified that it was 18k gold and not 14k gold. We were given a very good price. The showroom was very clean and all the workers were professional and very attentive to my needs. Look No Further!!!I went to M&S Jewelers to see if they could repair a ring that I had brought overseas that meant a lot to me. I had this ring for some years and some how the center of the ring got a small hole in it, so for a while I had stop wearing it because I really didnt know what could be done about it. I went on Saturday, I knew it was going to be super busy but I wanted to see what would they recommend. Mr. Mohamed and his staff greeted me with a warm smile.I explained how precious the ring meant to me and how I just didnt know what could be did to repair the center of the ring with the hole in the center. Mr. Mohamed had his repair man Mr. Lee came and took a look and they both decided by the ring being a solid 18k gold ring it would be best to add a 6 prong Tiffany Mountain Set in the middle to secure the diamond. Mr. Lee went to work on my ring right away. While I waited they offered me a cold bottled of water and made me felt at home. As I sat and waited I called my son told him M&S Jewelers had a huge selections of wedding rings to chose from since he was getting married. I already knew what my son and his wife was actually looking for, as far as style and size so I FaceTime him all of the gorgeous rings they have. Mr. Mohamed and his sons definitely has an eye for precious stones. Mr. Mohamed gave my son a deep discount far better than other places he went shopping around looking for that perfect ring.It was meant for me to come to M&S Jewelers that day it definitely felt like I was doing business with family. It took Mr. Lee no time to set the Tiffany Mountain Set in the middle, shine it up and when I tell you the work is Amazing I mean Amazing!!! My bracelet was misplaced by M & S, when I tried to describe the piece to the young man who was there he proceeded to antagonize me and insinuated that I didn’t bring my bracelet in to be repaired. This man was very arrogant and rude. Not the customer service I expected after trusting them with my jewelry.Mr. Mohamed and his daughter were much kinder and made an attempt to resolve the issue by offering me a replacement or $100, which wasn’t equivalent to the cost of my bracelet so I declined the offer. I returned with a picture of my bracelet and the daughter confirmed that she’d seen the bracelet and checked again, finally retrieving my bracelet from the jewelry cleaner.Although they misplaced my $400 bracelet, if I wasn’t mistreated by the arrogant young man. I would have returned to this jeweler for future services.PS. I recommend taking a picture of each item that you leave with the jeweler for repair or service. I came with multiple pieces of jewelry and felt silly for trusting them after they doubted having my bracelet because according to them “this has never happened before”.

I was going to give this place a one star but I changed my mind for several reasons. I took my gold chain here to get repaired. The lock-in mechanism on it broke and I decided to give this place a try. I showed up on a Tuesday and the guy at the counter said that it would be ready for pick up on Friday. I showed up today being Friday and another guy working there asked me when did I dropped off. I immediately mention that the other guy said that it would be ready for pick on Friday. By this time I’m extremely disappointed because I thought it would be ready so I can go about my business. Of course, the guy said the part they ordered was running late. I was frustrated and annoyed because I was already expecting things to be done. I asked him to give me the gold chain and walked out. Thinking about the situation. They could at least called yesterday to say that it was not ready for pick up. The guy was like, could you wait another day. I frankly told him that I was not interested. I decided to look for another repair shop. 15 mins later, I received a called by the guy in charge. He expressed how sorry he was that they did not meet my expectations. He said please let me try again. If you bring the gold chain back. I will give you 50% off from what we originally changed you. I was extremely grateful and I told him that I appreciate that a lot. The gentleman said that he would clean it off for me. In all, I appreciate that he was able to talk to me for our business to continue. Glad it was not a waste of time at the end of the day. That gentleman has great customer service. Well played old man 👏🏼!!!

I walked into the Mohamed and Sons on morning after they were recommended to me to repair linkage in my favorite watch. I was immediately welcomed by Mr. Mohamed who was exceptionally polite, cordial, and professional. The store itself was immaculate and the cases presented beautiful jewelry.One of Mr. Mohameds son repaired my watch band as I wanted and conversed with Mr. Mohamed about several subjects. The repair was done promptly and at an exceptionally good price. Furthermore, I have not had any other problems with the band after the repair! My lobster claw broke on my bracelet and I was looking for places to repair it. Went to the mall and the guy said $150 and I was like yeah... na and left. I googled something around the area I figured there had to be some local shop that would do it for cheaper. Boy was I glad I found this place. I called beforehand to see if they did the repair service I needed and the guy who I can only assume is the owner pleasantly answered and said sure of course just come in and well take care if you. I went in and $25 dollars later I was repaired and on my way. The entire time I was waiting he was extremely pleasant with me and other customers who all seemed equally as satisfied as myself.

BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. This place is SHADYYYY.No stars, if I could.I came here on a Wednesday. Its during its listed business hours, however the shop is closed and has a will return sign on the door. So I wait the 15-17 minutes in my car, outside the shop. The owner comes back, and then I go inside. I have my two kids with me. 2 and 9. Both boys are extremely quiet and stayed next to my side the ENTIRE time. The owner said I have a beautiful family, asking how old the boys are, you know, making small conversation. Next, I show him my sons gold chain that had broke and needed to be fixed. He said it wont be an issue. Hell even do it for $18. Great, Im happy. I ask how long itll take, and he says Oh, well the guy who fixes it decided to take a few days off, so maybe he will be back Saturday He also lets me know the repair takes no more than 5-10 minutes when the guys is there. I let him know that I will be out of the country and Ill definitely be back to get the chain fixed. THIS is where things took a complete 180.He starts to pull out an envelope and a pen, asks if I want to leave the chain. I reply Oh no, its ok.. Ill just come back next week when Im back in town. He says Oh ok, no problem. Dont come back this business then. and I paused... I looked at him and kinda laughed, like is this guy serious? I ask him Really? He said Yes, dont come back here I asked him Is there an issue? Im just not comfortable leaving any of my jewelry anywhere. I watch them clean my wedding rings He said No, but you dont leave it here, so just go and keep this memory Im already kinda shocked that the encounter went that direction. I just said Ok, have a nice day, thanks anyway and started walking toward the door... this man had the audacity to say Yeah and stop having kids, you shouldnt have any as I was walking out. WHAAATTTTTT.OKAY BUDDY. WHAT IN THE WORLD. Poor, poor service. I understand that your jeweler fixer person wasnt there today. I wasnt mad. I was completely understanding, agreeing that he probably wanted to enjoy a few days of this beautiful weather. HOWEVER, because I do not want to leave my sons 14K chain there for over a week... you want to suddenly tell me not to return... ok, fine. But for the last comment? You were just telling me how beautiful my kids are, how well behaved they are, etc. AND THEN you want to tell me not to have anymore kids cause I wont leave my chain? LOL. I had my kids with me, or I probably wouldve had some words for him. I looked back at him like WOW and kept walking.Shady business if you ask me.1. Wasnt even open during business hours listed. A be back sign was present.2. Man flipped the script on me because I wouldnt leave the chain in his store. I have a feeling he just wanted to pocket my $200+ chain and probably give me back a cheap one that is somewhere in his store.3. The unnecessary and disrespectful comments.So, I took the chain to another jewelry place and they got it done. I asked the employee there if I had been rude for not wanting to leave my chain at the previous place... even she told me almost nobody leaves their jewelry and usually waits.
