A nice ice cream place. Good sized scoops and a large selection of flavors. Sadly its open seasonally, but its completely understandable. Always looking forward to the on-season. No interior seating, but a covered patio as well as grassy picnic table seating. A good place to bring the kids or the well-behaved dog!

Worth the drive to chill and eat some burgers and ice-cream. Place looks weird but a must stop if you are in the are. Had a cheeseburger and strawberry ice-cream, no issues and very delish. Been trying to go back before I leave town lol.

This ice cream place is located in Clinton Tennessee. My brother took myself, my daughter, my sister in law and other brother here after we came from the pizza place. Ice cream was delicious and had many flavors to choose from. It was Mayfield Ice cream they Served. Place was busy all the time, cars coming and going. They also serve food there like hamburgers, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings. Definitely a place to go for ice cream. Wait wasnt too terribly long.

Closes way too early. That’s my only complaint. Closing Labor Day weekend is crazy. They would get good business still for awhile.Good food and ice cream but gotta wait til next year to get more.

Visited the Chunky Monkey for the first time today. Carol and I had their cheeseburgers and they were AWESOME. Their burgers BEAT all the other local fast food places.. The ice cream and malt was also great. We will be going back. Drop in and get something.

Fresh and hot food, made to order. Pretty tasty too! Little pricey: 1 double cheeseburger, 1 double hamburger, 1 fry, 1 onion ring and 1 iced tea is $29. The burger patties were thick and good. We would pay it and eat there again :)

We own a business right down the road from them and can only eat pizza so many times a week lol. So when I dont feel like eating my pizza I go check out Chunky Monkey and I always get the burgers which are always delicious. Recently tried there hot dogs which are amazing as well. Today I tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was also amazing. If you havent tried there food yet, you are defiantly missing out.

Be real careful if you go here. I stopped in today for the first time and paid with my debit card. Total was $5.29. Saw on my bank statement just now that they charged me $7.21. I called and the lady said it automatically puts a tip on there and she said she probably should have told me. Yeah, right. I wont be going back just on principle. Thats just not right. Buyer beware.

A fun place to explore when the need arises for ice cream. A place that will bring out the child in anyone. Also serving traditional hamburgers, fries, onion rings and a local hillbilly burger. Great stop for an outing to Norris dam.

It was National Ice Cream Day and we decided to stop on our 6 hr drive and get some ice cream. We searched on Google Maps and this place popped up. It was easy to get to. The ice cream was yummy. It is a great little old fashioned road side stand. They also sell burgers and such.

Great little find here. Good burgers and fantastic ice cream. They use all fresh, never frozen, beef and it shows. One of those places you get a lot of bang for your buck. Will absolutely be stopping by here again if Im ever in the area. Perfect for those summer evenings for grabbing ice cream and a burger and hanging out at the picnic tables.

I ordered a sundae that ended up as mostly whipped topping. We may give it one more chance, but there are much better options at lower price points and much higher quality options at the same price point or slightly higher.Based on this experience, there is nothing special about this place other than its close to Andersonville and Norris.

I bought an ice cream there cookie dough with strawberry and ice cream for my family it was pretty good but when i looked at my receipt i saw a 5 dollar tip i never issued they never told me about a tip it was automatically issued it was a 20% tip they should inform you about what your paying for

I came to this place twice to get banana splits. The first time there were no toppings but there was some sort of maple sauce. I made them aware of this and they agreed to remake the banana split. However after waiting a while I was advised the soft serve machine was down so I was unable to get the dessert. The next time there were no bananas in the BANANA split. They were again made aware of the problem and they cut up a banana and handed me a cup of bananas. Lol. Never again.

Good local Tennessee ice cream.We stop at ice cream stands all across America. The Chunky Monkey ice cream is good and flavorful. It has a smooth texture and slightly thick. It is not the best Ice Cream, but is good.I had the Extra Moose Tracks and I loved the chocolate swirls. The chocolate covered peanut-butter pieces were a little disappointing. They were a little waxy.It needs to be thicker and creamier in order to get into the top 10 nationwide.

I wouldn’t recommend eating here. The ice cream straight up tasted like boo boo garb. The employees were extremely rude, and they didn’t even wear gloves. 10/10 great place to get corona though. After the employee spit in my ice cream, they insulted what I was wearing and told me I was ugly. Not to mention that when I was leaving I saw two cockroaches roaming around. Disgusting.

I bring my kids and dog here all the time they have pup cups with vanilla ice cream and a dog treat although my dog doesnt like the hard Treats but he does enjoy the cold great of ice cream and of course the kids love everything that they have there I do wish they had a bigger selection of foods because its a really nice place to hang out after a long day in the heat to also enjoy food as well as ice cream. Is a really nice place to go.

Been going to this store since I was a child :) However there absolutely nothing special about this place. Don’t get me wrong I love Mayfield Ice cream, which in TN you can get at almost every store, they do not make their own ice cream they just buy mayfield and resell it in a cone or cup. Every since I was a child there were always flies in the restaurant until I stopped going in 2017 as a young teenager. Friend of mine found a heroin needle in their bathroom; their nasty dark back rooms lookin bathroom. Wether you are a local or passing by do not eat here, just go to the local Clinton Walmart and go get some freaking awesome Mayfield Ice cream. The Chunky Monkey is making Mayfield look bad by reselling it from their nasty Karen infested dingy restaurant. Would give 0 stars but google won’t let me.

Lots of smokers in line which was somewhat disgusting and takes your appetite away for trying things on the menu. A good old fashioned experience though!

They are rude & have a bunch of inexperienced kids running it, they only sell sugar free butter pecan ice cream & didnt tell us it was sugar free until after we ordered our food & it is not clear on the sign wouldnt make it up or refund my money. The manager got an attitude.

Decent little walk-up ice cream stand that sits off the road a bit. It’s easy to miss the driveway, so keep an eye out and slow down as you approach. The menu is what you would expect from a place like this, the prices are reasonable, and the ice cream was better than expected.
