Trash company. Constantly running 11% rebate ads, but they never actually give you a rebate. They claim it takes 8-10 weeks + to get a rebate issued. Just a gimmick and lie to get you in the door. So many problems with this store. I stopped going here after constantly seeing one cashier for the entire store - always a HUGE line to check out. They sell the worst lumber and garbage tool shop tools.

Very professional and quick with orders.

Went to pick up online item purchased, the area is so far back in the store. Was picking up soil and mulch, asked one of the staff about torn bags, she stated we can tape those and sale them. Lowes and home Depot ate very good at sailing riped bags. They have a rebate program but they expire so quick from purchase date.

Check out lady was very courteous...Picked up a 1 gallon and a 5 gallon pails of mismixed paint in bargain area. The 1 gallon rang up correct, the 5 gallon did not...waited approx 20 minutes for someone from paint dept....no one showed up...a lady manager and a man showed up and I explained where the paint was at...in the bargain area...more or less told me I lied and paint lid had not been removed...I told them that is not taken off...she stated...well this hasnt been off...pointing to the pour spout and mixing port...with paint around lip and a circle of paint where lid had been put down to add the tint...I would say that the tint was wrongly added so pour lid was replaced and set in bargain area. The lady and man treated me terrible in front of cashier and customers checking out...I explained that they need to spend some time in paint dept and see how paint is colored (tinted) I do spend alot of money here each year and have since you came in to the Des Moines Iowa area...It is sad that people like this work for you...dont know if I will continue to do business with you at this time...I am 68 and feel very hurt and disrespected. Great selection, if you can find what you are looking for. Not very intuitive on placement of several items. Asking an employee usually garners a confused look mixed with annoyance. Sometimes they will just start looking in the aisle youre in also because... you havent been looking already? All of this is relying upon the fact that you actually cornered and spoke to an employee without scaring them off. Clean store, slow checkout, and good prices. Now if only they sold a duck call type item that works for helpful employees.

Shopped for an entryway light fixture. Caged 4 light Chandelier is what we bought. Hung it this morning. LOVE IT!!

Came across a guy in the lumber/insulation outdoor barn area today who stopped and asked me for help. Didn’t catch his name but I wanted to compliment him on his helpfulness. He had a mustache I think but he helped answer all my questions on insulating a crawl space. Made my day now I can complete my project that’s been on my mind

No products on shelves. No customer service. Plants look horrible. Worst Menards Ive been to. I love Menards, but this store needs a total makeover. Only giving 1 star because it is Menards. I feel bad for giving a bad review

Menards is my best shopping store, I like their prices.

Great experience as usual. I couldnt find what I was looking for so I asked for help from someone in a different department. He tried to connect me with someone from the correct department, but nobody was available. He then walked me to the product, instead of just saying which area it was in. Only reason a four instead of five is because there was nobody in the department I was needing help in.

Good parking. Clean store, clean cartes. Smiling, last time I need help I did not find any one for30 minutes. Rong price in the tool department and the cashier put the price, I told him it is in red label $29 he charge me $39. This is not professional at all. Also they need to organized.

“$.49”! That’s what the customer service rep said as soon as I walked into the store. Since when does it cost to shop without a mask. You should be giving those out if you want my business. Then the attitude of the representative was less to be desired. Menards just keeps getting further and further away from their lineage.

Found everything I was looking for. Just wish they would automate the 11% rebate process.

My biggest frustration with Menards is the discrepancy between the online inventory system and what they actually have / can find in store. Service is good, prices are decent, but I waste a lot of trips trying to find something their website says is there, and their salespeople swear isnt. Menards Clive road access is very poor and the parking is cramped.

As usual it was hard to find someone that could help. Eventually I got what I came for but its frustrating that the employees are more concerned about ignoring you than being helpful.

Came in to order fence materials; inside staff were great! Came to pick up materials and the young men that were stationed outside to help were confused, couldn’t find items (we could), tried to give galvanized materials when all should be black and didn’t seem to care when it was pointed out. I’m all about you people having jobs and learning, but pair an adult with a young person someone knows why they are doing! We were sitting outside for an hour in the 90+ degree heat getting more frustrated as the minutes creeped along!

I like it because it is more a hardware store than the popular home centers. Very big store with good electrical and lumber sections, as well as tools, paint, and lawn equipment.

Yesterday we stopped in a our local Menards and as we were in line to checkout an employee stopped and gave our almost two year old a toy menards truck, to say she was overjoyed would be an understatement! Just love the little things like this that make an already avid customer, a customer for life!

Very helpful employees. Will always choose Menards over other big box stores, even though its farther to drive.

I accidently walked in the wrong door which was an exit only, it was a bright day and I couldnt see very well. I barely got a step in and a girl ran up to me and yelled, Can I help you? This is an exit only!!!. When I say yell, it was more of a scream. She wasnt yelling to be helpful and she definitely was not polite. I was pretty shocked that a customer would be spoken to like that for such a simple mistake. After I checked out, I asked to speak to the manager. It turns out she was the manager leading the checkout area that day. I told her that I didnt appreciate being yelled at, and all she said was, Im sorry you feel that way. I wont be revisiting this Menards. This manager was young, probably early 20s, with curly brown hair in a pony tail. This occurred on 5/15/2020 around 2pm.

Found my new Christmas tree. Had to have help getting it cuz they were stack 4 high on top shelf and he was very nice

Really busy today, all help inside the store was really helpful. The help in the yard was fair, if you can catch someone they will help. The yard crew was really scarce, few and far between.

Menards is my go-to store for home improvement supplies. They have a good selection of building supplies and good prices.

Love menards on a normal once every 5 month shopping basis but bought everything needed to roof a house, all materials, go out to get it loaded in the lumberyard and they cant find any of the plywood that we ALREADY PAID FOR!! maybe need to check inventory and out things away better

Staff is very hit or miss. Some are extremely helpful and others can’t be bothered. Selection and prices are on par with the other big box stores, but if you can time it for the rebate, you might come out ahead.

I like Menards because of their Midwest roots. They have competitive prices and its weird to be able to buy project panels, ribs, spray paint and ibuprofen at the same store.

5 years ago, we remodeled our entire house, added a 3rd stall onto our garage, and installed new siding on the entire house. We bought over 90% of our materials from Clive Menards with almost no issues. However, while adding onto our kitchen these past 2 months, weve had nothing but issue after issue after issue with Menards and their suppliers!It took 3 attempts to correctly order a patio door (delaying it and our project by over a month). We have a defective window installed that wont lock due to the manufacturer missing their marks during production. The wrong roof trusses were delivered to our yard and discovered the day we were putting them up. The online inventory for the floor trusses we bought indicated they had over 50 of in stock, but they were special ordered anyways. After more than a week of calling and speaking with managers and associates about the online inventory and not getting anyone to actually look for them, the special ordered ones failed to be delivered on time by several days. Down to the last minute with no time left to avoid completely rescheduling all of our contractors set to come the next day, we finally got one employee to search for the 53 in stock (we had talked to over 8 by this point and been told all kinds of different things)...guess what? The were there the whole time, just like the inventory indicated! An hour later, I was home and installing them.Our KLËARVŪE kitchen cabinets came in. We loaded our truck and trailer up with hundreds of boxes - all seemed way too small for large base cabinets, but we knew these came with some assembly. The associate told us that that was it. Weve got it all. Well, the guy never gave us the usual print out of the few pallets that were loaded up to give to the attendant. The poor young gate attendant tried to do his best to follow the rules and check off piece by piece, but it would have taken us hours to do. We had boxes stuffed in the cab, in the truck bed, and stacked high in the trailer. Most items had quantities of 6, 8, or even more, but werent stacked together. Since we were told that that was it, he eventually had to give in and zeroed all items out. Within 10 minutes of being home, I realized that we were missing ALL of our base cabinets and who knows what else. Trying to get back in the gate was a disaster with an order form thats been completely cleared.Were not done yet. We ordered hundreds of dollars of ledger stone that is displayed in 2 different areas within the store. The stone was a deep slate color and was perfectly what we were looking for. We paid another handling charge for something they display in store and online (about our 12th of this addition project) and waited weeks for it to come in. We finally get it home and are ready to install it and realize that its got sparkles embedded everywhere. My wife called and spoke with Lonnie, hoping to get the number for the manufacturer to call and ask if theyve changed the product or if we possibly got the wrong one, as what we have and the display look like two different items. After making her feel as though shes a woman that doesnt know what shes talking about, he claimed the displays are really old and the sparkles were likely just rubbed off. This stuff isnt able to be simply rubbed off. After making her feel like shes dumb for even calling, he says he will call the manufacturer. Take a guess if you think we ever heard anything back from Lonnie? No. With the way the call went, we knew that was coming.All this was just the major stuff. I could go on forever about all the minor inconveniences, such as defective can lights not being fully punched for electricity, Bosch fiber cement blades being completely shot after 3-5 cuts, ordering lumber from the project center that was in stock, only to immediately get to the yard to find that it wasnt there.Update: Missing another order of cabinet doors that was scanned, zeroed out, but never actually brought out to us. What a nightmare

Only getting 3 stars because while I was happy with what I got, I was unhappy that I couldnt find what I had primarily gone there for-and the three employees that I stopped to ask for help from couldnt be bothered to help me, nor did they actually even let me finish my question before no, no we dont have that and then they went back to their cell phones. Think Ill be sticking with Lowes for the rest of my project.

Consistent good service. Ive been shopping at this Menards for over a year. Every trip has been good. A great place to get lumber, siding, and household items. I check the prices here before looking elsewhere.

Today I am going to the Home Depot because of Menard’s mask enforcement.

I will NEVER shop at Menards again! Their customer service and service in general is awful! We were sold lumber that was out of stock and ordered for us. You would think that means when your order is in stock you would be notified or they wouldnt resell it....wrong!!!! We checked our order online and said it had been ready for 3 days and we were never updated. I called the store to confirm they in fact had our order they said yes. We arrived and they had 6 out of 50+ boards we ordered. Their excuse was first come first serve. I would think that ordering would not be given away by a walk in.So basically they take your money with no promise of product.....disgusting company policy!!!!
