My daughter and I just finished up our open water diving certification through California Scuba Center. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is just awesome to work with. Our instructor, Bear, and the assistant instructors, were phenomenal. The customer service is outstanding. They also do trips and scuba outings, which is something to look forward to in the future. We couldnt be happier with the experience.Just an update: I just got back from Belize, where my daughter and I used our scuba certification and had a great time!! The shop is not just a retail store that sells scuba/freedive gear...rather it is a gathering place that welcomes ALL divers, provides honest advice, great prices, locals service and most importantly a scuba shop that you can trust! We are blessed to have a shop ran by divers and dedicated to divers here in the Central Valley. No need to look elsewhere they have you covered on land so you can have fun under the the water!

Shop explained what we needed for what we were doing without trying to up sell me on things I didn’t want. Fixed and filled my tank quickly. I felt the cost was well worth what I was getting & they were willing to give info and talk with expectations. Will certainly use again.

Aka Rob F. First time scuba diving, was apprehensive before initiating classes in May, outside my comfort zone. Class was great, instruction was spot on. Traveled out of country for diving trip after cert and had 15 dives was very relaxing, great learning experience. Cant wait for the next trip to Cancun area and diving, maybe explore a Cenote!

Regulator ServiceTook in my Atomic regulator in for service. Staff very professional and owner Mike would perform the service. Service kit was delayed (like everything else-Covid) and I was contacted and told about the delay. I appreciated the update. Kit came in and service was completed. However while conducting a final service test Mike didnt like how the regulator air flow went through the second stage. He contacted me and said he located a small cracked part not included in service kit. He ordered the part and everything is good to go. Very professional job !!

They treat their customers and staff like family.If youre well seasoned diver or just getting into diving, they will get you what you need. They stand by their products 100%. If Mike doesnt have it, he can get it and will always get you a good deal! (There are always great deals to be found at his shop, just have to keep a look out). I mainly spearfish/freedive and they have everything I need including expertise and gear.The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sale. When moving to Clovis from Monterey I didn’t expect to find a local dive shop and a well stocked one at that. Great place with a great crew. My wife wanted to become a diver and Mike was super helpful throughout the process. They also do dive club trips. I joined them for a lobster dive charter in Ventura fun trip and made a bunch of new friends for future divers.Definitely recommend California Scuba Center.

So glad to have found California Scuba Center! Rachel was so helpful, friendly, and professional. I was certified in 1991 at Bob’s Dive Shop. I love them. However, over the last few years, when I call, I feel like they don’t want to be bothered. It could be I called on bad days? I never feel like that at CSC!We are a family of 4 with new (younger) divers. I wanted to rent a few tanks, weights, and BCD for our kids to practice in our pool before a trip to Cozumel. Rachel got me all hooked up! And, gave me great advice regarding diving in Cozumel. As a result, my husband and 2 kids had an amazing time!Thank you CSC!

I was trying to get a hold of an akona terrapin bag for couple of months with no luck, as it was out of stock everywhere, until i found & reached out to california scuba center, and Mike from the store solved that out for me in 5 minutes, all it took was a paypal invoice and bag was shipped in 2 business days, arrived in original factory packaging, it was an amazing experience after all the struggle, great customer service yet so helpful and friendly, answered all my questions promptly, i would recommend california scuba center any day! and will be my go to dive shop going forward!

Cal Scuba Center (CSC) hosted a volunteer clean-up of Millerton Lake on a Saturday morning (6/5/21) and provided FREE rental equipment (I needed a BCD, tanks, weights and regulator). It was my first time diving with CSC. I picked up the equipment 3 days before and met the gang that Saturday morning. CSC had everything well organized but kept everything fun. After the 2 tank dive cleaning up the bottom, the gang returned to the CSC store for tacos (FREE again). Mike, the owner, really does this for the love of diving, not to make a bunch of money. You cant go wrong at CSC.

I went in there to get certified And a few weeks later I got certified it was worth it

Trip was well organized and the trip information was given early with full willingness to answer any questions as they arose. Dive sites were always chosen for the better outcome for the group. Great trip!

They offer lots of classes, local and travel dive opportunities, and have a scuba team that divers can join for extra perks! I have been a customer of California Scuba Center right from the start. I was one of the first to buy something. Fitz, as Mike is known among friends, is first of all a great diver and we have dove many times together in some knarly conditions.The customer service is top notch and the knowledge and caring comes through the second you walk in the door.I am picky with my gear, but Fitz recommended a new mask that has ski goggle type strap and built in snorkel keeper that is far superior to any mask I’ve had. I am finishing a dive trip to Maui and I got tons of complements on my new mask.Whether you are a new diver or want to become one, this is the shop for you.
