WOW - just WOW!We just had an awning installed from Milanese. The company was FANTASTIC to deal with from the estimate all the way through our final payment. They are knowledgeable and not pushy by any means. It was a pleasure to deal with them and I would highly recommend the company! I look forward to our next project where we can use them again. So refreshing to deal with a great company staffed with amazing people.
Let me share our experience with them:A. They oversold product when we bought from them (a little over 10 years ago) by saying the windows have a lifetime warranty (footnote... that they never identified as these windows are cheap and the manufacturer is likely to go out of business as a result of poor quality, which is exactly what has happened).B. Botched installation... a mismeasurement of a custom window in the kitchen, resulting in A. some creative engineering instead of getting the right size window and B. forgetting to properly flash the windows in our bedroom -- rain came pouring into our freshly painted room the day after the windows were installed. Granted, they eventually fixed the flashing, but only after calling them and waiting and then going to their store to ask face-to-face (since I live 5 minutes from their location).C. Several of the windows have lost their seal and have stuff growing between the panes. I called three times over the past couple of months about it and have been informed that they dont deal with this since the manufacturer is out of business -- basically, I have to get the windows replaced. IOW, you were given the paperwork that explained this (ummm... nooooo), its not our problem, and well pass your name on to someone [who wont call you back] -- the latter part all three times I called. THREE TIMES.D. Based on A, B, and C, they seemed surprised and amazed that I am a teensy bit frustrated and upset about the pisspoor customer service. But were very quick to defensive posturing and accuse me of attacking them. That made me laugh. A lot.My advise? For potential customers, stay away from these people. For Milanese, own the problem and fix it, without the runaround and without the boorish, annoying, frustrating deflection. If youre going to sell cheap products, be upfront about the pitfalls. YOU may be knowledgeable about the industry, but I submit that most customers out there ARE NOT in the industry you are.
Milanese Remodeling installed an awning on our house, July 2020. The company was extremely professional, efficient and we were so pleased with the results! We would definitely use them again when we need further remodeling.
Weve had Milanese Remodeling do several projects for us over the years, and have been extremely pleased each time. Theyve installed an awning, replaced windows and sliders, and most recently did substantial remodeling on our exterior including stonework, roofing, walkways, landscaping, lighting and more.Mark has been creative in design, proactive in suggesting ideas to us, and he has been great about listening to us to ensure he and his team understand and best meet our needs. Throughout, hes worked to help us understand tradeoffs and keep costs down. And while a project like ours can be stressful, Mark made it more enjoyable through his positive and personable style. The variety of craftsmen that Milanese has had working on our house have been skilled and professional, and theyve consistently delivered very high quality work. Theyve also been responsive in addressing occasional changes or requests as weve raised them. All of this has led to outstanding results and our extremely high satisfaction with Milanese Remodeling. We highly recommend them.
Milanese installed a beautiful Pergola with a roof that opens for sun and closes for shade. The structure also has two fans and a tv that they installed.
Mark is very respectful and very kind hearted person, he did a estimate for me was on time and wrote out a very professional estimate with photos attached. Please I highly recommend Mark for his expertise and professionalism.
I have to agree with the negative review about being a money hungry contractor. I did not have work done but I could tell this guy was a jerk just from our conversation. I called about a deck or patio and right away he was talking about removing the windows, installing a door. When I told him I was not interested in an extensive project, he began being critical that a homeowner shouldnt try to tackle a deck project, I wasnt going to get the job done for less than 7-10,000 dollars and he would not accept the preliminary work that I already hired my landscaper to do. Got a bad feeling right away.
Had a leak, sold vinyl siding, leak persisted, sold us windows, leak persisted, came back did minor fixes to try to stop leak, never happened. We have called & now they say everything they did was done correct but never fixed issue. Our original leak which is why the were called has never been resolved in our kitchen. Our 2nd leaky window; Mark Milanese stated that leak in my master bedroom was actually water from shower in master bathroom because we dont keep our fan on until all water is dissipated.? So the water goes through a wall and attacks the farthest of 2 windows from my bathroom and thats what is causing our second leaky window. Again they did siding & windows but dont think there is any issue with the work they have done. @Typical money hungry contractors who dont stand behind work that they do or subcontract out. They talk over you and think they know more than everyone. Now that I have to fix leak properly have found more and more people that were displeased with their work. Use them if You want to buy their next vacation home and have to pay someone else to do work properly. Do Not respect woman at ALL. Be very careful! Free advice, for local residents in chester county.
We had lifetime warranty windows put on by them. We had one window break that took them 1 1/2years to replace....then our garden bay window that cost us a fortune developed a leak everytime it rains, they came out at least 6 times and can never fix it. Now we are told if we want it fixed we have to pay for it! So dont waste your money on lifetime warranty cause they dont honor it
We were so happy and pleased we chose Milanese Remodeling for our new awning. We received personal and professional experience. Also, the work staff who installed the awning were very efficient and made sure the job was complete and the job site was clean before they left. I would recommend this company and we are ready to have more remodeling from Milanese in the near future for our home.
I first dealt with Milanese over 17 years ago when we purchased a retractable awning. The awning has held up extremely well.We have been in our house for 25 years and this awning has been the best home improvement investment to date.Milanese was very professional and service oriented back then and based on a call today, I am looking to get the awning fabric turned or replaced. There service has not changed and would recommend them in a heart beat for any remodeling needs
Avoid using this company at all cost. Had my windows and a sliding door replaced with BF Rich windows / doors five years ago. A nightmare ever since. BF Rich out of business but all they said is contact Milanese. Installing was not anything near professional. They took out the wrong sliding door that was to be replaced now it only opens half way (they wanted to sell me another one). During installation came home to them using our household vacuum cleaner saying their vacuum would not pick up the mess they made. Suppose to replace one window at a time but took all windows out in December and wind just made a mess, breaking knick knacks etc. The blinds inside the slider they did install come down crooked. When replacing all widows they took all the siding off the house only for it to blow off and have to be replaced by a professional builder. Bay view windows they put in leak in a heavy rain. When BF Rich was open they just said call the installer. I would not have them come back to my house to replace a light bulb. I am having the work they did redone by a PROFESSIONAL. One star only because it will not allow to put NO STAR

Friendly, experienced staff, installed beautiful sliding glass door.
When having work done on my home in the past, I’ve always said things to my friend like: “You know, if contractors and home improvement companies had better customer service skills and reliability, they would have my business for life…”Little did I know, this company exists… and is a mere two miles from my home! After years of scouring the internet, I am so thrilled to have found the gem that is the Milanese Family & Milanese Remodeling, in my very own back yard.I had the great pleasure of working with Trish and Jackie in the office, to set up an estimate. In a day or two, Mark came out to our home and quickly surveyed our needs, and drew up a quote on the spot. It was more than fair in price, and EXACTLY what we needed. I had a million questions, some technical, some aesthetic/creative, some hypothetical, and some even were admittedly a little crazy (because I love to over-think all the “what if’s”!). Mark patiently listened to our inquiries and offered professional and personalized answers, which gave us comfort and confidence in our purchase decision.Do you know what makes a good salesperson? One who gets to know his or her customer, their needs, and then showcases the product they truly believe will satisfy their customer for years to come. There were so many window options, some less expensive and some more expensive than what Mark recommended for OUR needs. The product he recommended (which we ended up choosing) is a remarkable fit for us and our home.Financing was a snap, thanks again to Trish & Jackie. Getting to know the Milanese Family was a pleasure, and professionalism and craftsmanship cannot be ignored. Our windows came in early, and Trish emailed to see if we’d like to get started early on the installation. Running ahead of schedule? …WOW!I would be remised if I didn’t speak to the talented installation crew that began and finished the whole project in fewer than two days! Our home was treated with respect and care. The crew was courteous and professional. When I requested to keep my old windows for craft projects, the workers even stacked them neatly in my back yard.As if this wasn’t good enough? Our new windows have a lifetime warranty. AND, as our new windows were installed in the middle of August, we immediately noticed that our house was MUCH cooler. I expected to notice a slight difference, but the efficiency we’re experiencing is off the charts.I would recommend Milanese to my family and friends a million times over, because I have the utmost faith in their honesty, commitment to quality, and their customer care excellence. Thank you, Milanese Remodeling, for giving the kind of care to our home that you would to your own! You are a treasure, full of pride for your community and care for your family of customers.
