This place is amazing! You can get multiple varieties meat here, pretty much anything youre looking for! Lots of other walkly sourced products and small batch liquors and wine. Oh, and dont miss their lunch!

My family and I love this place. We now only buy meat from your shop. The cuts are limited but still worth it. The staff is super friendly and always helpful.

Very knowledgeable passionate about their craft. First time there was suprised by the one off cuts of beef pork and lamb you dont see. However disappointed that they only release the in house aged beef on Fridays [I was there on a Thursday and dont live in the area] it will be worth a trip on a Friday though. Many additional unique local products offered along with artesian cheeses and house made charcuterie. Worth the trip but bring a thick wallet phenomenal product but worth it.

We love this place. Great butcher, lots of lovely curated sundry items, fantastic wine and liquor selection. Adjacent there is a great coffee shop and an adorable flower shop. You can also find a farm stand across the street. Stop here next time you are making a meal instead of the normal grocery store.

Do yourselves a favor and order from here. This is absolutely one of the best lunches I have ever had. A convenient location with an extraordinary ambience makes for a delightful oasis away from the monotony of the office. A terrific spot that I will be visiting regularly for years to come. If they have it get the Nashville style fried chicken. Terrific.

I have nothing but great things to say about John Browns. I seriously look forward to our weekly stop in, and I usually hate grocery shopping. We buy most of our meat from them at this point, and will continue to do so. The cuts are excellent and everything looks fresh. The staff are extremely friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They always seem happy to make recommendations or offer alternatives if they are out of a particular item, which hasnt happened often. There is always plenty of variety to choose from, with some additional great options rotated in, especially around the holidays. The dry aged sirloin is delectable. Ive also never had better house bacon in my life. Would definitely recommend stopping in to see what they have.

And then there was one; Ceriello, Parts & Labor, and The Pig Headed Butcher are all gone. I wanted some ground beef for burgers and remembered this spot on Falls Road. Imagine my joy when I saw that their blend is 80/20. For me fat carries the flavor and adds supple moisture. These were some of the best burgers we have ever made (Bork from The Pig Headed Butcher is still the house champ). A couple of weeks later I made dry aged NY Strips from here and was simply blown away by the flavor and texture. If you care about how good your food can be, where it comes from, and you want to support a local business and responsible farming then you owe it to yourself try this gem on Falls Road; I can’t imagine getting meat anywhere else and well, this is also the last independent high quality butcher I know of in the area.

Great products and unique foods. The only notice is the approach to the staff/ register/cashiers is: no smiles when you walk in or greetings. They put off a feeling as a “you’re bothering them“ or “do you have a membership to be in here“… Kind of attitude.Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing!

Nice old fashioned store producing a real life butcher shop as well as plenty of extra offerings to choose from. They have Boylans sodas and even a few select beer and wines for sale. Full offering from the butcher from ground beef to aged cuts of beef and pork. Pricey but you get what you pay for. We will definitely be back.

Terrific and knowledgeable staff with great ideas for all of the cuts of meat they have done onsite. The quality of the product is amazing and their relationships with local farms who care about how the animals are raised is evident. Be prepared to spend more than the standard grocery store and be convinced it was well worth every penny. Thanks for doing what you do.

This place is the real deal butcher shop. You can find anything from house-made charcuterie and sausages to a rack of lamb, and they are happy to take custom orders for the adventurous cook. Every member of the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. John Brown knows where their products come from, and are committed to excellence in everything they produce, including a delicious, varied lunch menu, and other house-made deliciousness. They have a good selection of local produce, ice cream, condiments, and snack items as well. Excellent beer, liquor and wine selection available Mon-Sat. Definitely check this place out for a lunch date, sample some delicious meat products, and grab a refreshing beverage, a loaf of artisinal bread, and adult beverage to accompany your meal. And if that isnt reason enough to visit, John Brown Coffee, which is adjacent to the general butchery, makes fantastic espresso drinks!

Last of a breed. High price custom cuts, outstanding locally sourced meats. Good choice of liquor and wine. Only butcher left for 30 miles: you can’t count supermarkets at all., they don’t come close to providing any of this.

Everything they sell is pretty damn good. Great if you want less common cuts of meat and a pretty solid coffee shop as well. Have never been unhappy with anything about this shop.

Foods great but they wont give me raw onions for anything i order they have pickled onions and caramelized onions so their there dont lno why its so hard but the people are friendly and service is fast

We only buy our meats from JBGB & I highly recommend them. They offer absolutely the finest selections of local and organic produce, confections, spirits and condiments. The meats are all organic, pasture raised, grass-fed (as applicable), hormone & antibiotic free. The staff and owner provide unparalleled customer service - they actually remember your name and they really strive to provide their customers with the absolute best selection at excellent prices. Go check them out, you wont be disappointed!

I would not recommend this place. I went there to order some meat, they the person in charge didnt even have the courtesy to let me know the status. Even after calling them, the manager will not return phone calls. I tried their online form, and still no reply. I ended up just canceling the order. First impressions are everything. How are they going to run a business if they cant even communicate with the customers?

Exceptional meats, goods and service!

I went in here recently after passing their business hundreds of times and decided to stop in I was very pleased with their selection I ended up just getting chorizo sausage and it was the juiciest sausage Ive ever had not to mention how delicious it was i will definitely will be returning here soon

A great place to have lunch. The food is delicious. The price may seem on the high side, but the portions are well worth it. The burger is the bets Ive had. The pork sub is good, especially with the hots. And their brownies are wonderful. If you can eat outside, youll have an additional reason to return. We will go back.
