You dont find many family owned- ethical, old style customer service, and customer respect from many businesses anymore. BUT Nick and his dad at SMI are the rare exceptions. I called with an emergency on a Saturday and they said they wouldnt be there much longer but I could drop off the part needing repair. Not only did they stay until I got there but Nick told me he would fix it now and for me to come back in an hour. Not only was it fixed within an hour but the work was precise and the savings from having it repaired instead of replacing was hundreds of dollars. These guys are just old school professionals that treat you like family. Whatever your needs, if they can do it please go there. These guys deserve to meet all the people they can and show we can still treat customers right and still make money.

Called at 5 to see if I could get some work done to my bike that required a hydraulic press. The owner said he would hang around for me to come by, show him what I was after and give me a price even though he was feeling under the weather.The shop itself is a real machine shop, tools all neatly put in their place, clean, tidy and some impressive machinery. John the owner was great to chat to about my job. We discussed the research I found as someone else had done this before. He politely listened to all the information, gave me a fair price and showed me what he was going to do taking onboard some of the info I already had.I highly recommend this shop, I found them very professional and friendly.
