Atrevida is my FAVORITE local brewery in Colorado Springs. Not only do they usually have 8+ beers on tap, all those beer are diverse (their slogan holds true) and unbeatable. The owners are incredibly nice, and they also put on fun events when time allows. Ive been going around 3 years and they never disappoint.

Beers were served at a very warm temperature like British beer, but for lagers isnt great. Also a slightly acidic taste to the beers. Not the worst Ive had but not great.EDIT: Also apparently cant take criticism

Great little spot off the main drag, with many a delicious brew to sample and friendly staff to help you pick your poison.Dog friendly, ample parking, unisex bathroom and a host of branded gear for purchase. If you buy a branded beer mug theyll keep at the bar for safe keeping, and its there for you to use whenever you return. No food options available on the day I stopped by, though a mention of food trucks was on the blackboard (perhaps available other days?). I tried their red ale which was absolutely delicious, and I would recommend readily.Good spot for small groups or a cheeky solo drink, but it did feel a little gruff compared to other local breweries Ive seen.

We visited Atrevida on a Colorado Springs brewery trip. By far THE BEST and most interesting beers. We tried 12 of their beers and every single one was phenomenal. I love that they put diversity first, both in their taps and their team. If you’re in Colorado Springs, this is a MUST stop, from one beer lover to the next. Power to female Latina brewers! Thank you, Atrevida! We will be back.

I can only agree with the other positive reviews. After spending 5 years in Oregon during the IPA and microbrew boom 20 years ago, I have had my fill of one-note, overly-hoppy brews recycled into a few different styles. This is NOT what is going on here at Atrevida.Ive had about 8 different beers here and was pleased with each and every one.I only hope this spot booms so they can open another on the east side!!!

Very underwhelmed with my experience at this brewery. My husband and I arrived around 2pm on a Friday. The taplist looked impressive and we were able to sample a few beers before deciding on a pint to enjoy at the brewery. Many of the samples were flat, barely cold, and lacking in their representation of the style. The Smash pale ale, for example, was almost room temperature, lacked carbonation, and didnt have a hop profile. The dopplebock was also flat, almost sour, and disappointing. There are also a few errors on the website (indicating that it wasnt open for indoor dining) and the bartender just kind of brushed it off. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but if you are seeking quality brews there are much better options to be found in the city.

We were in town for business and decided to go brewery hopping. Atrevida was our first stop and they were hands down the best! The Drunken Churro is so DELICIOUS. Plus, they can add glitter to your beer. I mean, come on. How cool is that. The owner Jess and Ian were so friendly and helpful. They gave us names of other local breweries that we should try. We enjoyed their company a lot. The other breweries were good but Atrevida was the best. We would highly recommend this place.

The beer is decent. The atmosphere is not great. Bright florescent lights in the main area with music that was way too loud at first. The bathrooms have the tiniest trash cans for the paper towels. Location is also not great. Im confused about why they offer to add glitter to your beer for a buck yet their mug club mugs are totally opaque. Also, who wants to add glitter to their beer?

Update - this review below was written when it was Great Storm brewing. I would not apply any of the superlatives I used to describe Great Storm (and the 5 stars) to Atrevida. I didnt like the beer, or the pretentious owners at Atrevida, so I dont go there now. This is my new favorite hangout. The atmosphere is relaxed, the clientele are friendly and the beer is awesome. Most breweries have a predictable offering: a blond, an amber, a pale ale, an IPA and a wheat. This brewery throws that formula out the window and brews whatever tastes good.My favorites are the rum raisin stout and the fantastic Belgian Strong..

First and foremost, service was great and beer was good. The young lady, who has only worked their a short time, hustled to take care of customers and was very sweet. However, it would have been nice to have someone there in a management position to deal with the loud obnoxious foul mouth drunk patrons. Yes, I do realize it is a brewery, and people are going to get loud. But obnoxiously dropping the f-bomb every other word tends to ruin the atmosphere for customers who are trying to relax and enjoy a beer. I could see the discomfort on the faces of other customers. For that reason, I have no plans of returning to GSB. On a separate note, I like dogs, and like to see businesses allow dogs into their establishments. There is a certain level of responsibility that comes with allowing dogs in your business. One of those responsibilities is cleaning up the dog hair. Break out the shop vac daily and suck it up. The dog hair was in excess, and it was obvious that the floor etc had not been cleaned in awhile. Like I said, I like dogs, but I do not like dog hair floating around the room and landing in my beer. Best of luck!

Ive only been here twice, both times on Saturday night, so I cant offer much of an in-depth review but so far it seems like a pretty cool place. Since Im only in town for a month Ive been hitting all the breweries I can and so far this is the only one (other than Fossil, which I bike to) more than once. Im at the point in life where Im too old to go rage with college kids but too young to go to bed early, and from that perspective this is a good place to be. Younger and older people do come here with friends for sure, Im just saying if youre by yourself looking for something to do this is a solid option. Ive yet to get stuck dealing with party bros (aka me a few years ago), the bartenders are nice without being fake (I hate the Hooters-girl sycophant types) and overall its just a pretty easy place to go. They do turn the lights down in the evening which is kind of weird, but the bar lights up which is cool, so I guess that part is kind of a wash in the end. Most importantly the beers are good and there are free pretzel sticks in case you miss the food trucks.

The people where very friendly and the place kinda has this urban industrial feel that Im fond of, but beyond that the beer just wasnt that good. I got the American IPA as did my old man, and my roommate got the Rum Raisin Stout. The IPA didnt have the hoppy flavor that usually comes with having an IPA, almost watered down. The stout was creamy, but bland and overly sweet. Just not what I expect from a brewery. Great atmosphere though.
