Tasty but a little heavy, nothing special really. I felt the donuts were over-hyped. There is a large variety of donuts that are freshly made, but really just unusual flavors and toppings are their big sale push. They fly out the door because they have a following, but I just didnt find the ones I bought (at $18+ for 6) lived up to the hype.
My husband loves donuts so we always try new places. We have tried many of their specialty ones but liked the glazed ones best. But after going several times to get glazed, they were out. This was at 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. If you know the glazed sell out quickly, adjust your output. So, yesterday we tried again and they had a lot. We bought 4 and my husband said his was horrible. Like it was frozen and thawed instead of made fresh. I took one bite and spit it out. We just threw the rest out. It was again, very disappointing and a complete waste of money. Never again.
I love this place. Fun, tons of amazing options, and great service. I wanted the fruity pebbles cereal doughnut. They didnt have any made at the time, but the employee there, her name was Mercury and she was amazing, happily helped me out and made it for me! She also suggested the other cereal doughnuts they have (they also have a Captain Crunch Just the Berries, and Fruit Loops) and I got those too. I am just really happy with the experience and the doughnuts were DELICIOUS!
I have gotten Hurts Donuts twice. Previously I got the long maple donut with bacon and the Andes Mint donut. The former was not executed as well as it could have been. This time I got the Andes Mint and Caramel Delight donuts. The Andes Mint is not bad, but there is a missed opportunity to add peppermint or mint extract to the donut itself. The Caramel Delight was tasty because of the obvious chocolate and caramel. However as a whole, its not that superior to Dunkin Donuts or any other donut shop. They just have more creative toppings.
We picked up donuts around 6-6:30 Saturday morning and were not impressed at all. Were new to the area and this was our first attempt at donuts here, but we dont plan to go back. We ordered more of the traditional style donuts. We got a half dozen (a yeast glaze, a chocolate covered chocolate cake, a reeses covered chocolate cake, a blueberry, a cake with green icing, and a chocolate covered yeast) and one cinnamon role with glaze. The cinnamon role and long Johns are considered specialty donuts and cost extra so we couldnt get those in our half dozen (hence the chocolate covered yeast instead and the extra cinnamon roll donut on the side.) The cake donuts tasted better than the yeast. The yeast were more chewy than fluffy like donuts should be. None of them were impressive by any means. The cinnamon roll was so hard we were struggling to cut into it with a knife. It wasnt good at all. We spent over $20 for 7 donuts. Other donut places we have eaten at cost less than half the price for a dozen and actually taste good. Were not going back here. 2 stars for the cake donuts tasting good, but not impressive still, the staff being friendly, and the place feeling clean.
Meh, they were just alright. The regular sprinkled one tasted dry, my son didn’t even eat it and the maple covered one was tiny, almost smaller than the palm of my hand. Was great they offer a military discount but most likely will not be back. 2 stars because my other son loved his Cookie Monster doughnut.
The store is very nice and spacey so the customers dont have to stand too close to each other. The donuts are kind if big and heavy but you get what you pay for because they are really really good. They make the donuts in the store so they are always fresh and the wait is never too long. It of course isnt the perfect donut but with so many restaurants these days I feel like I am settling for the mediocre, but this donut company is lovely.
Honestly not that impressed after going here half a dozen times. The donuts are good, but they overfrost a good deal, to the point where I often end up scraping most off to appreciate other flavors present other than SUGAR. For example,, their fillings are excellent, but overpowered by 20 grams of sugar on top. They also are not cheap, 2 donuts will cost you roughly $5-6 depending on selection. Service is decent, and relatively prompt. Place is nice and clean as well, but for my money Id almost rather just go to Dunkin.
Open surprisingly late and conveniently close to a hospital. Great for when youve spent the last 8 hours in a bed in pain and you would really like something delicious for an actually really reasonable price. 100% brightened a day that was otherwise pretty unenjoyable.
Terrible place to work. Don’t care for there employees. They overwork you and when something comes up or you’re sick working with FOOD. They still make you work. It’s a good job for people coming right out of high school because that’s how they treat you but if you are older DO NOT APPLY. the owner also does not care how you feel or if you try to express it’s only about the business. If I could give 0 stars I would they don’t deserve my 1 star rating. Only thing good about this place is there glazed donuts when they are fresh and not sitting out for days.
Cute box But amazing donuts they never dry up or get all nasty they stay fresh all the time I cannot find a place like this in my home state in California this is the best donut place Ive tried in my life. I hate Cali for not having a great place like this. Nothing to do with Dunkin or Krispy thats 🤮🤮🤮 Hurts is one of a kind🥰🥰
Anytime is the right time to go to Hurts for donuts. Always fresh and always delicious. I never met a donut I didnt like so I have lots of friends at Hurts. The Apple fritters are one of my favorites along with the chocolate cake donuts. AND the creme or jelly filled selection will knock your socks off! There are many types to choose from, even for the kids! Hurts donuts are a great reward for the person on a diet, or a fast out the door breakfast. Stop by and pick up a half dozen or a dozen for home and warm them in the microwave for that out of the oven taste.
We ordered the dirty half dozen, which apparently is a dollar more to choose the donuts yourself. Yes, you heard me right, for a dollar less $12, you have the option to have the employee choose possibly the most stale, least-popular donuts that day. Its just an odd menu item. Rather than disguise your faulty business model, why not create a kitschy, blatant construct designed to eradicate the old merchandise. The donut varies are few and far between... All sweet cereal toppings. For those of us, not willing to eat only coyingly sweet fake/cheap loaded sprinkle donuts, there are no other options. The salted Carmel was stake and lack-luster in flavor. Ive had better donuts from Walmart. There are better donut shops in Springs. I will not return.
Walked in around 4pm with my mother because I told her how much I loved this place and even though its a bit pricey. I have always had great experiences here previously. Took almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter. Not a huge deal I work retail. I get it. But then another employee came from the back/office? And they both walked away from us. I walked about half way to the exit rather annoyed only to see a 3rd employee come out and they all started talking. No hello be right with you, sorry for the wait. Nada I asked if we were going to be helped anytime soon ( or even acknowledged) and the girl with a stressed out attitude snipped at me stating SHE WAS ON A PHONE CALL! Ok fine but at least apologize to customer currently waiting for the delay and you will be right with them. I dont know send 1 of the other 2 employees out to help? Now Im forced to be a Karen on the internet because I know having manners, respect and common sense gets you business. Hope I have a better experience the next time. Yall have good food. Love the cups you can buy.
The glazed are phenomenal. So fluffy and fresh, yum! The other fancy ones look amazing, but Im really a glazed gal.
Always an awesome experience the staff is super friendly and impatient when Im trying to decide between all the delicious options.
For my first time visiting this place was I unwelcomed. Customer service was horrible, the lady with purple hair had an attitude with us. She probably had a bad day but she shouldnt have put that anger towards the customers. Kind of seems unfair to pay extra just to choose your own donuts and not the employees, either way the donuts tasted stale; would rather go somewhere else.
If youve been here before and werent impressed with their fancy topped donuts, go for their classics, like a long john or the GLAZED, my fave!
It was amazing to see the line not go down. A very popular place in Branson. The donuts we good and the coffee decent
Yummy! If you havent tried this, it is a must. The vibe is very cool within the store and the choices are very good. Try the Jesus (churro), the blueberry cake donut, and the original cake. They will definitely keep you coming back!
A huge selection of dry donuts covered in a ridiculous amount of candy. These are not donuts they a hand held cakes with candy bars on top. Iv tried them multiple times over the years and its the same product. DRY and overblown candy bits like its a magical feat of food science. Save your money and go to a donut place that doesnt just use candy on or in their foods.. This is the dream of any kid that is under 10 which maybe is the targeted market?
Holy WHOA!!! This is the coolest donut shop Ive ever been to! Interesting and unique varieties. I love the Donut Milkshakes! It was a little runny BUT it was the best thinnest shake Ive ever had. NO JOKE! Prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommend, will be bringing family here when they visit!
What a great name! Donuts were delicious and loved the creativity of the selection. The only thing that really hurts is the price. I thought the pricing structure of charging extra to allow people to select their own dozen was pretty lame. It speaks to me that they really dont want the customer to get what they want, but rather let the bakery decide (or pay extra). Again, not customer centric. That said, we purchased them for a reunion and they were enjoyed by many.
These donuts are spectacular! First, they are always fresh. I love them all but my absolute favorites are the old fashioned and THE BEST EVER Apple Fritter - they are crispy on the outside and moist in the middle with the perfect amount of glaze and just melt in your mouth. Seriously, IMHO it’s the best Apple fritter in the world!
Donuts were great. Your staff member on the other hand Ramon he has glasses was very rude and had attitude serving us. I will definitely will be calling higher management about this. If you allow your staff member to be this way with customers than I will definitely let people know what this place is about.
To me its just another donut shopThey had racks of un frosted donuts. So really not to fresh. They just needed frostedThis was about230 in the afternoon.
Great service and selection. Donuts and fritters were great.
This place has really gone down hill. Literally can never get a hold of them no matter what time you call. Have tried multiple times to make a special order and no one ever answers. Even when I have left voice-mails, no one calls back. Wonder what the owner has been doing to resolve this problem.
I really enjoyed Hurts at first. But I think the wonder has worn off. Their prices are truly outrageous and the selection has become weak. It dawned on me the other day when I bought donuts for my sons daycare class and spent over $50 for just 2 dozen iced donuts.
Love this place!! Best donuts in town! 🍻 Pricing is compatible to other bakeries and the variety is exceptional! I’ve got no idea what the calorie count is and I’m not sure I want to. Haha If you get a dozen make sure you’ve got 10 friends to help you. They sit heavy and I generally can’t eat more than one at a time. Absolutely phenomenal donuts though and well worth the drive across town. 🙂👍
Went in with my wife earlier for the first time and we were excited to find a good donut shop, something the Springs is lacking. Our excitement however quickly turned to disappointment. The donuts here are fantastic, its just a shame that their staff are so unfriendly and abrasive, they need some serious customer service training. If I were the owner I would not want those people working for me and giving me a bad name.
Visiting my son here and wanted donuts so googled the best place and Hurts popped up on top and Google was correct, I have my donut place set when I come again.
It was wonderful but we got there too late in the afternoon they didnt have any cinnamon rolls
A huge disappointment.Plain glazed donuts for $14 a dozen? Are you kidding me? And they were not very good. A yeast donut should be light and fluffy not dense and chewy. I thought Duncan was bad but this place is worse and at a higher price. The kids that work there are nice and friendly but that is the only positive. It still gets me that Kings Soopers will sell a dozen plain glazed for $5 in the afternoon and theirs is better than Hurts of Duncan.Fortunately a new Krispy Kreme is being built right down the street from me.
Hurts Donuts was amazing! The variety of donuts was astounding and so yummy! Key Lime Pie donuts are decadent and just tart enough to be perfect! The young lady that helped me was patient, kind and answered all of my questions. This was the first time I had been here and will definitely be back.
Love this place! They have the best donuts both classic and crazy flavors. I like having the option of having them pick a dozen for a cheaper price for when I’m bringing donuts into the office or if it’s the weekend and the family is picking their favorites. My only complaint, which is a me thing, is I can’t read their board sometimes I do wish they had a flyer or something closer I could look at.
Yummy, yummy, yummy. I ordered over the phone and Grace provided me with excellent customer service.I ordered a dozen doughnuts and the 12 donut 🍩 with vanilla icing and sprinkles for my adult daughters birthday. My daughter was especially happy with her birthday cake. She said is tasted a lot fresher than other donuts shes had.The red velvet donut was a hit as were the Sesame Street donuts that I got for my two younger girls. All in all we loved the donuts. We recommend these donuts and we will be repeat customers.Thank you Hurts Donut Company.
They are delicious but unfortunately the customer service was less to be desired. We were the only ones there. Young lady was not welcoming. The 1 star is for the donuts.
Hoping they’d be wonderful, they’re okay, over-priced, too sweet and the “apple” fritter was a plate-sized piece of frosted dough with no decernable apple pieces. I’ll stick with Amy’s.
They offer Gluten Free donuts that are wonderful, but they sell out early and only have them available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Once theyre gone theyre gone.
Came here for the 1st time ever. As i arrived the donut shop was nice and clean so i had high hopes to start with. I was greeted by nice and friendly staff who seemed very peppy for being so early. I ordered 1 dozen donuts and an apple fritter. $33 later i was a bit amazed how expensive this was but they were packed in a full graffix custom box which i obviously paid for. The donuts were ok but not great. I ordered a lemon filled donut that was at least. I thl a day old, the bread was hard and firm. I would have gone back of i wasnt so far. Maybe tell your customers that they are a day old. I will not be going back.
Dont think of this place as a normal donut shop. While they have the classics, and their pigs in a blanket are amazing, its more of a dessert bar. Its a special place to stop for a treat with our family or to grab treats for special events or to wow our friends/family. The Jesus and Red Velvet are my absolute favorites while my husband loves the fruit filled ones. Theyre always open, so its definitely a great place for a late night stop for donuts and coffee.
Try them all. Each one presents with a different flavor! You will most likely find a favorite one ♡ Very yummy. They even brought them pretty late at night so dont be shy about that last minute craving.
The glazed dozen are a workplace favorite.Pairs well with coffee. I’ve had several of the other options, and I felt like they were too sweet and the donut itself a bit too dense. I would have enjoyed a flavored donut with less toppings rather than a plain donut with heavy toppings.Overall it felt unbalanced, but has a lot of potential and a great location.
The staff is always friendly & helpful. Yes, there is a line but it moves quickly. The donuts are incredible. We love them all and have not been disappointed. Very creative donuts that taste so good.
These are by far the best-tasting donuts I have had. The service is better than donut shops around; I noticed the cashier that attended me was proud of working there match 14 2021 around 2 pm. A great shop will be going again before leaving Co
Doughnuts are ok. A little grainy sugary if that makes sense. The shop has a clean cool vibe. This place needs a manager. There were at least six or seven people working and we waited in a line for almost thirty minutes. There were only four people in front of us.
I LOVE THIS PLACE . The donuts are fresh the staff is nice and the place is clean. The only complaint is some mornings they do not have kolochies. The prices are good and its always a hit when I take them to work
Went in last Saturday as you offer gluten free donuts, usually great staff. This time not so much the young lady behind the Counter was rude and dismissive. She kept on cutting me off and didnt let me finish my order.I come here often as they as me to pick up donuts for work, may be I should just go to amys or Vodoes as I drive past it on the way in.Ramon a shift lead said he would address it.I would love to speak to the owner or manager, the young lady was rude and seemed to hate her job.
We used to go to this donut shop all the time when we lived in Stetson Hills, we recently moved out to Peyton and wanted a couple donuts today, so drove the 20 minutes to get there and got a glazed doughnut, which was amazing and an apple fritter which was five dollars! Fritters are typically good but not consistent sadly. Today I think there may have been one apple in my apple fritter and it was oddly shaped and half the size of a normal fritter from hurts, I don’t mind if it’s smaller but please don’t charge me the normal price. We’ve had trouble with consistency and quality here before, love supporting local biz but it’s tough when things like this consistently happen.
These are some of the best donuts Ive ever had!
Its awesome how they have so many different flavors of donuts here. Theyre all nicely displayed in a well lit, glass case. This extremely inviting set up is great marketing. I got a dozen to share with some friends. My personal favorite was the Nutella stuffed donut. I recommend some wax paper between your donuts if you get multiple ones. It got messy as the toppings started to fall apart and contaminate the other donuts.I visited Hurts Donuts on a Friday evening and it was very crowded. It must be a popular hangout spot for teenagers. Most of them were just standing around chatting with their friends. There were also quite a few families there, young children with parents. The girl at the counter was very friendly. I got a high five from her for contributing into the tip jar. Fun way to interact with the customers.I read strong coffee in another yelp review....I have to go back just for the coffee now!
The donuts are delish, & the serviceIs very good. Weve enjoyed all that weve purchased at Hurts!!!!
They have a great variety of donuts and theyre really good.
We stopped in to grab donuts before the blizzard. It was our first time at Hurts Donut and checking out the selection. The girl at the counter was rude and seemed to be annoyed. She was short with answers to our questions and only answered with yes or no.We spent over $20 on one dozen donuts and must say, it wasn’t worth the money. Leaves alot to be desired.Wouldn’t recommend this place. Try Duck Donuts instead!
Hurts Donut Company has very delicious donuts and a very large selection of them. I got the Andes mints donut and it was very good. The donut tasted like it was made for my taste buds which very rarely happens. I also had the strawberry sprinkles donut which didnt have much strawberry flavor ad I like but it was very good still! My companions liked their donuts so I think that altogether Hurts Donut Company is worth every star I have given it!
No matter how many times I’ve tried it, Hurts Donut just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t like the donut itself for whatever reason and they never seem to taste fresh. No matter what toppings are on the donut, it’s the donut itself that I don’t enjoy. There’s a lot of variety but I definitely don’t think this is even remotely the best donut in town. I can understand why people like it but I just can’t make myself like it.
Really good donuts and other foods. Cant go wrong with thier cinnamon rolls and kolaches.
Ive been a bit disappointed in Hurts lately. This last visit has made me want to try somewhere new. What donut shop doesnt have regular glazed donuts? They have great glazed donuts but this last time they were completely out and they are usually the only kind I eat from there.
Im not a fan of the funky, creative donuts that make up the majority of Hutrs options. But this place has good glazed donuts! They are so soft inside and slightly crisp on the outside. They are almost as good as a hot Krispy Kream. However, the quality is inconsistent. Sometimes the glaze is...wet. I assume that it is when the donuts are old and the glaze has absorbed moisture from the air or the donuts. I wish the staff wouldnt serve them when they are gross and wet, but they do. So, whenever I go there I know I may get the best glazed donuts in town, or donuts that I will throw away when I get home.
OVER PRICED.... they were dry tasted like yesterdays donut.
Sadly, what used to be a unique donut shoppe with a large selection of huge specialty donuts has become a so-so shoppe with several empty shelves at early morning, scant selections of normal sized and marginal tasting donuts. Not to mention there is still no indoor seating. What used to be a highlight for the grandkids was a fail. Entenmanns donuts from King Soopers would’ve been a better choice.Disappointed.
The manager on duty should know the policy on using their store coupons. It states on the coupons ONE per GUEST per VISIT (not one per visit). So when there are 4 guests present, then 4 shouldve been allowed-- not one. Last time, we were only allowed to do two per the visit no matter the amount of guests.... so make up your minds on how you want us to use them! We did not want to question it as they were already stressed with the nitro machine (heard employee cuss under his breath in frustration), saw training folks (looked to be two new ones) and a line formed almost to their doors already as we all know they are delicious donuts! We will return and hopefully be able to use the coupons properly next time!
Donuts are not always well stocked. Have purchased donuts that were supposed to be filled, but they literally had no filling. This has happened more than once. Very inconsistent pricing for individual donuts. Either the employees don’t understand the difference between a “classic” and a “special” donut for pricing, or they pick and choose how much to charge you based on who you are or their mood that day.
We ordered an assorted dozen on DoorDash, and we were pleasantly surprised at how huge and delicious each donut was! We thought the price was high when we were first looking at the menu, but we quickly realized these weren’t cheap donuts. The price reflects the quality of the donuts. Even at 10pm our donuts were fresh and yummy🤗
Ro is quite nice. Donuts has a nice variety.
Super fun environment and lots of donut options! My favorite was the snickers donut 😌
Delicious Donuts I have ever had
So yummy but so many calories!!!! 😋
Filthy floors and counters on Monday afternoon. This location has gone down hill consistently since opening. Rude young lady at the counter as well. So sad, but I will not return.
We enjoyed the unique flavors, and were pleasantly surprised by the gluten free options! Their organic coffee was delicious and flavorful. Wish they had a drive thru!
Doughnuts are always stale. Staff is extremely rude, including the owner. Id rather eat Wal-Mart doughnuts. Staff will eventually be rude to the wrong person.
Amazing, creative cake and yeast donuts! Maple bacon is one that comes home with me often.German chocolate is also a favorite. Apple fritters are huge, and very tasty! They even have gluten free donuts they make special on Fridays. Love this place!
