I checked this companys reviews and they had many of them. Several previous customers mentioned the professional treatment, knowledge and skill and how the Tech checked the issue FIRST and looked for all repairs that can be done BEFORE needing new anything. Greg Robb did just that for us. He let us know he was arriving and was on time. Greg got right on the issue and fixed it...then checked other equipment. He never tried to up sell. Greg informed us and showed us what to watch for, as our door is aging.Greg Robb was professional and personable. Most appreciated! Very professional company, all employees with whom we had interaction with were a pleasure to work with, and the quality of our installation of all doors was top notch. It took much longer than expected for the job to be completed but only do to manufacturing, product availability and ship times do to the current economic situation. My Wayne Dalton spring system needed replacement. It lasted 6 years, my how 10,000 cycles flies by! Called American who did the replacement in 2015. They were able to get me in the following day and as luck would have it, Ken who did the replacement last time fixed it this time. He is polite and thorough. Ken took the time to explain the adjustments he made and suggested modifications to consider for future garage door repairs. These folks are the ones to call!!

Nothing more upsetting than being in a hurry and discovering that your car is trapped inside the garage because of a broken spring.. I called in at 8am and was scheduled for 1pm. I received a call from the technician Nick that he was running ahead of schedule asking if he could show up earlier. He quickly and efficiently replaced both springs, oiled all the working parts and had my door operating before the originally scheduled time. BRAVO American Overhead Door.!!! Nick and Bobby came out and replaced our garage door this past Thursday. Both of these gentlemen went above and beyond! Dealing with American Overhead Door has been awesome! From the time I placed the call to completion of the service call, everybody I dealt with was great. The service tech Joel really knows his stuff! He was able to diagnose my problem almost immediately and went right to work getting everything taken care of. Pricing was fair and up front, I really loved all of the notifications that I got along the way. Confirmation of my appointment time and date, a 24-hour reminder text/email, and notification that Joel was on his way. American Overhead Door replaced our two-car and one-car garage doors and did a wonderful job! Ryan was very helpful in getting the doors selected and ordered and the tech that installed them did a fantastic job. We have nothing but great things to say about them.

Very happy with the service and product provided. Ryan was great in giving professional opinions about the different thickness and such of different doors we had selected. The slate color of the garage door is a very very close match to our front door slate from some other vendor, which is incredible! They fixed the gaps that we had at the top and bottom, new seal around it. The motor used to sway every time due to the improper installation of the previous owners, but this doesnt sway and is quiet. Stephen was great, installation went smoothly and he cleaned up nicely afterwards. Very highly recommended. Very happy with what we got. 5/5

From the initial call to the services performed this company was so wonderful to work with! I have not had to experience a garage door repair until now and they were helpful, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable with the services that I was walking into. They were able to get me in same-day (within an hour of the call) which might not be the normal but greatly appreciated and the service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and very quick with the repair offering some best practices and tips to me before leaving. This is the second time we have used them and they will forever be our go to for anything garage door related....They are super friendly, efficient and great value for money. I called to schedule an appointment for a repair that I didnt even know how to describe but a few questions later, they understood what I was trying to explain and scheduled me for a convenient time the next day. Better than the big chain companies because they didnt try to sell us something that we didnt need. Just honest, safe, friendly service.

They were honest. They had an opportunity to upsell or suggest a new door but didnt. Checked a couple of things out, recommended service and gave me a heads-up that the door is old and was likely the least expensive at time of installation. So expect to replace soon but not now.

Dee Dee and Greg were awesome! Dee Dee was so fun and friendly and helped me figure out what needed to be done and was able to quickly schedule me! Greg came in less than 45 minutes and was done in 30 minutes with replacing our two springs. Best service and GREAT prices! A family friend had warned me of high prices they had paid elsewhere and American Overhead Door charged a fraction of that on top of AMAZING service! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I called American overhead doors Thursday evening and was happy to find out that they had unavailability Friday morning. Derek the tech arrived promptly at 10:00 a.m. and was able to adjust our door and our opener and he tuned up both of our garage doors and prompt efficient manner. Along the way he was able to give me pointers that I was unaware of of what to watch out for when the garage opener acts up which weve had happened many times even though the garage door opener is only one year old. Dez we really appreciate your professionalism and the courteous information that you provided us. I used to take care of the doors myself but since I became handicapped Ive been unable to do so. I will now use American overhead doors in the future and I would suggest some and recommend them to anyone looking for a good garage door company and they were very affordable as well. A spring broke on our double door late in the day on Tuesday. I called American Overhead Door, spoke with Dave who scheduled an early morning repair for Thursday. Dave was fun to talk to, had a great personality on the phone. The appointment was right on time, Manny was prompt, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He adjusted our opener for proper stop points, explained everything, even lubed and checked the operation of our other door. What a positive experience and reasonable price for the work done.

I have used American overhead door on my rental properties for years and always been pleased with their service.

Called American Overhead Door, after my garage door decided to come off the rails, and nearly collapse onto the car still stuck in the garage. They quickly scheduled an appointment a few days out. I was worried about the cost of the repair, after googling repair costs of similar jobs. David, their technician, came over at the scheduled time, and within an hour, had everything put back together and functioning. He then came back the following Saturday for a quick follow-up. I was very impressed with their quick response, professionalism, and the reasonableness of the cost.I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing help with their garage door.

The service call was timely and reasonably priced. The problem was fixed to my satisfaction. But the real story was the extremely good customer service both at the office and with Greg who came to my house to fix the problem. After a week of fighting with terrible customer service at other companies, these two individuals gave me hope that there are still good people in this world and brightened my week.

I explained that my step son tried to install my new Genie 1 1/4 hp garage door opener, but could not complete the work, too complex. She scheduled Ken to arrive between 11 am and 1 pm on Tuesday. I was thrilled with the quick response time. Ken arrived at 11:35 on Tuesday as promised and completed all requested work in about 1 hour. Ken was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. He was able to complete all the tasks we could not (install backup battery, out door keyless entry, code 2 cars, etc.). I could not have been more pleased and they gave me a 5% military discount. I will use American Overhead Door again and will recommend them to everyone. GREAT JOB!

An important aspect of any company, even beyond providing excellent service, is going above and beyond to provide customer satisfaction -- even when the customer has made mistakes about what his needs really were. I was that customer, who waited so long to have my garage door opener professionally maintained that when it needed parts for a repair, none were available on the market!Americans excellent technicians made two service calls for me, but it finally was determined that there was nothing they could do that would produce a lasting repair for equipment as old as mine was.Now comes the part where I saw a company stand head-and-shoulders above so many others -- American Overhead Door made a FULL REFUND of my payment for their services. I was not entitled to this, but they granted it anyway, because thats the kind of ethical integrity American is obviously committed to!Suggestion: if your garage door opener is more than 15 years old, call American Overhead Door and get a quote on brand new equipment! I cant imagine a more honest, ethical, customer-centered company to do business with! 👍

Great company!! They are honest and fair. Had a repair that I received a quote from a different company for and was told it would cost $800.00. American Overhead Door completed the repair for $200.00. The other company tried to take advantage, adding things that were not needed, just to make money. American Overhead Door knows we are in the middle of a pandemic and frivolous additions are not needed. They fixed what was broken, leaving us with a safe and working garage door opener.

This is the second time Ive used American. If I need my door serviced I will not hesitate to call them again. Good work at a fair price. I like the technician tracking tool to know how far away they were while waiting for them to arrive.
