Wonderful local hardware store! Staff is so very helpful, service is better than anything you will get at a big box store. I went in today to find bolts for my license plate and employee, Mike went above and beyond to help me!

Tonya, Mike and Tami were all very helpful. I just needed to get some propane and I was in and out of that store in less than 2 minutes. The bad reviews here are clearly from some of the worlds more special folks, this is a cute little store with helpful staff who are just trying to do their jobs.

I come here every couple weeks to pick up pellets for my horses. the ladies that work at the front desk are ALWAYS so rude and never want to help out. i always leave feeling very upset.

I can’t go in there any more. The older woman who works in the hardware section with all the screws and fasteners has been so nasty to me every time I’ve needed something there. I tried to speak with the manager and she seemed to indicate that it was my own fault. Another local business owner has mentioned that same woman as being really rude as well. Avoid this place, they have no idea what customer service is...

The only competitive advantage that brick and motor have over online shopping anymore is customer service and INSTANT gratification!! I stopped in day after Christmas to get badly needed leaded solder, they were completely out of stock and thier electrical items are located in two opposite parts of the store. Of everyone working in the store I was never approached to be offered assistants. On the plus side, this location has the most amazing selection of fasteners Ive ever seen. A huge benefit from a recent remodel but again, if you need a fastener that requires getting on a ladder to reach it, youll need assistance which youll have to FIND!!!

Service was great. Greeter was a bit rude about bringing in a propane tank. Price for propane was great. Likely the best Ive seen. 3 stars for the rude Grey haired fellow with the blue coat who practically yelled at me when I came in. Could have easily said we dont allow the tanks inside. Instead of you cant bring that in here!! Ok. I almost walked out and left. But i needed the propane.

Its a great hardware store but my recent experince lowered this review, i couldnt get a name but the cashier was a bit rude. Other then that my experience was okay. The greater were kind as well. So its a good hardware store to shop at! 😊

Still treat me as if Im some sort of thief.im courteous but they arent in the least bit..I got so flustered about their attitude I left my truck key there.i wasnt staying focused because I was debating screaming on every staff member on that day..

Absolute rudest behavior in customer service Ive ever experienced. Cashiers dont know what theyre doing. Social distancing at its absolute worst. Manager has his head up his backside. The owner is delirious. I was pushed away from the cash register after asking to speak with a manager. I left the store because nobody could respect any distancing and was treated extremely rude by the cashier. Dont spend your money here. Their prices are too high and their products are BS.

Went in today. One worker in paint section was awesome. Helped me with everything I needed. Went to check out and the cashiers were rude. Not only that they make you bag your own supplies which makes you have to be right on top of the customer at the first cashier. Also I wouldn’t touch the baskets they don’t sanitize them on a regular basis. Saw people putting them back and the next person grabbing that same one.

They got a shipment of masks and put them right up front. I was so happy that I grabbed a box right away only to discover that they wanted over $200 for it. I’m beside myself right now. Ace is a huge corporation and rather than donating these masks to local hospitals and other front line personnel they’ve decided to gouge the public to make a few bucks. I’ve been an ace hardware shopper for many years but I’ll never go back after this and I’m going to tell my friends as well.

Do not go here they discriminate against people with disabilities. They always have a very did organized store. And are very rude will never go here again. Always dirty and trash old boxes left out. Never ever going here again..

Refused Propane service because lighting was in Manitou springs half an hour before. Waited 15 min. Still refused. Just 5 old guys that dont like to work.

This is the Place. Friendly staff who always catches you with a smile at the door and directs you in the right direction. I especially prefer this neighborhood store when hunting down tough-to-find nuts, boots, screws, hardware. Well behaved dogs welcome. You can also still buy nails by the handful!

I understand stores are reducing hours but closing when theres still 3 hours of daylight left doesnt help anyone! I told them i would be right back I had to get a bolt out of my car to see what would fit it and they locked the door on me at litterally 6:01 pm.. They would not allow me to get the 1 simple item I needed. 1 star for making me waste half a day driving around and putting more people at risk to get a stupid wrench. They were obviously in a hury to get out of there

Just want to give a huge shoutout to both Ron and Tim! Arrived today to get a small screw for my Turntable Cartridge....after searching for close to 20 minutes(because they did not have the size)they both spent another 15 minutes closely aligning this with my cartridge....could not believe the patience they had to fit this because of how small the openings were. After it was completed the bill came to less than $1....felt so guilty for all the trouble I put them thru and they said no problem. Got home recently and hooked up to my Turntable and it sounds perfect! Thank you both again...great job!

A Good Old-Fashioned Hardware Store. A little funky, yes, but HEY- I got my window screen repaired in about an hour for $7. Who does that anymore?? I highly recommend you check them out.

I needed some window screens re-screened. I spoke with Richard and he was great. I told him the measurements and he gave me a cost estimate for each screen. He told me it would be 5-7 days depending on how many screens were in front of mine. Dropped them off on a Friday afternoon and they were ready Monday afternoon. Definitely recommend ACE Hardware Bon for re-screening. Great job and thanks Richard for the quick turn around.

This is such a helpful Ace! Main floor staff is friendly and helpful. Richard was the biggest help of all. He is in the back and he takes care of the glass cutting and window screens. Perfect experience I expect from an Ace Hardware.

I went to get keys made for my car. The people that made the key were super nice and helpful. The young man, however, apparently put the wrong price down for one type of key. When I got to the register the lady there was super rude about correcting his error and charging me the increased difference. There was a lot of eye rolling involved on her part. It seriously makes me want to go to Lowes from now on.

Best little hardware store ever. poke around, ask questions, buy a weird old time or discontinued soda. this is a fun place to shop. i only go to big stores if i have to. if you enjoy hardware, shop here. super nice people who are interested in your project and know what they are talking about.

I like going to this Ace, its like the neighborhood hardware store. No crowds like the big box stores have and the employees are very helpful. This store has expanded several times so its a quite large store now but feels like hometown.

Great at what they do. Helpful and well staffed when we were there. We were there for paint and found the selection somewhat limited, and you can find lower prices, but for the basics, helpful advice, and a convenient location, its a great hardware store.

I love this store. Make sure Ted takes care of you. For example, I called to inquire about the price of an item and Ted even mentioned what deals I could get with my Ace rewards card.

Worst experience ever. This store has the rudest staffstaff unwillingness to help. They communicate on the walkie talkie loudly at the front register regarding pay at other stores and scheduling. Simply staying that those conversations are inappropriate the front register clerk named Irma smart talks you and attempts to place blame on the customer about how thats the way they communicate...then to be told that the manager is the one discussing those things.We try to get out as fast as possible as a line is forming to have your change thrown at you and yelled at to leave. Simply advising the clerk Irma to not speak in such a manner causes her to scream more. Being rude and unsatisfactory customer service. You try to talk to the manager Tami only to be brushed off by staff repeatedly...them by the manager herself. Ask for a corporate number and they dont have it. Call corporate they simply state she apologizes but lies and says they helped us with chainsaws. We never looked at a chainsaw. We own 2 business and know each store is independently owned. No more money to this owner or this business.... No more commercial business from any of our associates to this store.

They allow their employees to talk trash, overcharge you, then defend the bad employees. I own a business and use this place alot 4-5 times a week .its sad they allow their standards to drop the longer you work there .gm is a killer lady, but doesnt advocate for the customers. She will allow her employees to get away with murder apparently. Been shopping there for about a year and only issue I ever had was with the same rude person .but...its ok she has worked there long enough to argue with customers when she messed up. Makes sense right .She overcharged me and makes a fight when I ask for my money back .Is that where you want to spend your time, money, and business investments? Check your reciept bc you never know when youll be in a fight to get your money back .

This is our local store and we love it. Service is friendly and they always have what we need. Returns are convenient.

Any other time Ive been here I would have given them 5 stars. But today one lady asked if I needed help and I said no Im fine thank you, then another with white hair and glasses asked me less than a minute later and I said the same thing, then lady#2 started following me around the store as if I was stealing stuff. Then as she was right behind me another staff member asked me if I needed help and again I said no thank you. Well then I pulled my phone out cuz I got a text message and the lafy went to the manager, a big white haired man and I hear her saying Im texting someone else in the store and she believes Im shoplifting. And when her manager came to the isle I had been in I pop around the corner and said that she asked if I needed help and when I said no thank you she automatically assumed I was stealing. And he kept nodding his head and then he proceeded to follow me around the store. I only am giving it 2 stars because the lady with long brown hair and glasses at the register was as always very welcoming and friendly. But as for everyone else that I encountered at the store are highly disrespectful and rude. I always buy something when I come in and for me to be followed like that is why I dont recommend this store

PERRY is my go-to guy here. He always goes out of his way to help me with whatever I need. Everyone else who works there consistently does this as well, but I happen to have been helped the most by Perry lately.

Literally walked out after seeing an older front cashier berate and scream at a woman who was asking her to stop being rude and requested a manager multiple times. Im not sure what was happening but watching an employee scream at a customer while the customer just said over and over why are you so rude. Stop! Wheres your managerjust Terrible. First time in that store last time. I will go to centennial. No employee or manager should ever do what I see happening to a this woman.

I used to be a steady customer of Ace Hardware at the Bon, however after what I witnessed last night I will not be returning. The security guard employed by this Ace Hardware had apprehended a shoplifter, had the guy in handcuffs, when the guy tried to run the guard violently threw the guy into another shop window, no longer in front of Ace, once on the ground, still handcuffed and dazed from the impact, the guard pepper sprayed the guy who was HANDCUFFED, ON THE GROUND, PEPPER SPRAYED, so the guard felt the need to begin KICKING the guy in the back, head, side, wherever he could land a blow. Sure, shoplifting is a crime. The guy deserved to go to JAIL not the HOSPITAL. This was truly over kill for a misdemeanor offense. I will not give my business to a store that condones this kind of action.

I have been here almost daily since moving to the old North End. Several of the staff already know me. I would have rated ace very highly until now. I was in the middle of a project and needed one more item. I arrived at Ace at 7:56. I know they close at 8 and people need to go home. But I needed one item to complete my project. I know where it is and would have been to the register before 8 pm. The woman at the door stood with her arms crossed shaking her head NO. I went to Lowes. Arrived at lowes at 8:03. I guess its not that far to lowes. I think ACE may have lost a new customer.I understand people work hard and need to go home. I understand that. I do too. But instead of feeling Welcome and having an opportunity to embrace business, I feel alienated. Maya Angelou said people remember how you made them feel. ACE. I feel slighted and unappreciated.

If you want to meet the most RUDEST LADY go there. I have been shopping at this store for several years, today I had to find a 3 bolt when I got there older gentlemen help me find the bolt (I did take my old one with me to show the size) unfortunately when I got home it was the wrong size, so when I got back to ace I asked the lady at the front door (one that sit there and do nothing) to exchanging for the correct size. she basically told me to go back and get what i needed. Now I was not upset that I was given the wrong size item but customer service by this lady was just rude, she did not want to hear anything I had to say but to argue that I had the wrong size and it was dirty, yes I did have little oil on it and try to clean it but you could still see the oil. Go home and clean it or buy a new one even do I was given the wrong item. She has no customer service skill and rather lose a customer over 70c item. I strongly recommend NOT TO SHOP AT THIS STORE. Everyone else is helpful but Chris she must be ace hardware Nazi.

Ive have spent thousands at this store over the past 20 years and have always gotten along with the staff, they are dog friendly. However, upon a recent visit the manager beligerently started accusing me of being an accomplice to someone who was stealing from the store. Apparently, i was the getaway driver who flipped her off as we sped away. At first, i thought she was joking, having no tact, and speaking loudly so that everyone was aware of what a bad person i am. Then she said she had video proof of the incident (which she said had happened 2 mos. Prior, im in the store at least once a week). I said, great, we can clear my name. Then she went off on a rant saying that she didnt need to show me. She was already convinced that i was a thief, and has convinced other employees in the store as well. I have since been banned from returning. Seriously? Besides retaining legal counsel and pursuing the store for slander and defamation of character, i think a written apology from the store manager would suffice, along with her resignation. You dont falsely accuse people, lady. Ever.

I was an employee of this Ace hardware in the Bon Shopping center on Wahsatch for several months up until this evening. I have been a star employee and have never been written up or late. My ex-manager has a medical condition where it is apparently ok for her to scream and curse at me over minor issues in front of other employees and customers. You may have seen it if youve been in. I have held my tongue about it for several months because I have a two month old baby at home to support. This last week I was told to shut up and called vulgar names by my manager and I decided its time to speak up. I talked to the store owners about the issues (Scott and Derrick Barnes) and Derricks response was to find a new job or deal with it. Today I got fired for too many write ups even though I have literally NEVER been written up, or even late. Any person who has been in this store, has probably been helped by me and knows I am an intelligent hard working young adult. I believe our community needs to know what that business really cares about. How am I going to support my family? Jobs are not a dime a dozen... Derrick and Scott Barnes dont care about their employees or their customers. They care about money and thats it. This Ace hardware doesnt care about its customers or employees, do you think they care about you? DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE

They are picky about returns. Bought a lifetime warranty hose attachment that leaked and the manager did not like that they were wet when I came to return them.

I have always enjoyed shopping at ACE Hardware; however, this particular ACE location has continually ruined my ACE experience by their lack of customer service and knowledge. Sadly, I will be making the journey across town to other hardware stores.
