I wanted to share the experience I had here today. I have been looking all over town for a Sig Sauer, but have been having trouble finding one. This place has several, including the specific Legion model I was looking for. I believe there were more employees than customers in the store at the time. After waiting a while to be acknowledged I got my phone out because I wanted to research features of the other models they had I was less familiar with. Despite being ignored, I was still planning on making this $1000+ purchase as I was excited to find it. Finally someone did acknowledge me, only to insult me.. They yelled across the store Are you going to price check every gun in the case? Wow.A. I was only on my phone because I was being ignoredB. I was not price checking, I was answering questions for myself since no one was helpingC. Even if I had been checking online prices, in what world is it appropriate to try to publicly shame a customer for that?I went out today specifically to purchase that, had the money Id saved for this literally in my pocket and left empty handed. This actually kind of saddened me, but there was zero chance I was giving them any money after that. I dont imagine it will take too long to find a business who can sell me something without insulting me.
I purchased some sights for a new Glock here and they ended up not working with my red dot. I had to order a new pair of sights. When I came back in they were able to help me get them on and working within minutes. I was the only customer in the store at the time. While I looked around and waited, about three customers came in. Within seconds of them walking in, they were respectfully greeted and provided with great customer service. These gents here are knowledgeable and are respectful, I would not hesitate to come here again and shop again.
Went in first by my self and returned with my wife. I recently moved here from Florida. I had a CWP from Florida. The Colorado carry laws were clearly and professionally explained. Through their direction I got a Colorado drivers license and returned with my wife. They took great pains to explain to my wife in detail, the advantages of one weapon over another. While there a browser walked in, “on his high horse,” and the staff clearly wasn’t going to reward his kind of behavior. The staff knows their “stuff.” I know guns and I know when somebody else knows. They won’t waste time with a “sea lawyer.”E John Reinhold. PhD
Everything that the other 1 star reviews have said is all true. I came in looking to buy my first gun and told them how I’m new to this and asked about concealed carry and that made them look down on me just for being new to gun ownership. They kept talking with an attitude and making faces like they didn’t feel like answering my questions/providing good customer service. I still got my first gun from here though, but I won’t be coming back here for sure. There’s only a couple glass cases of pistols and not that many rifles on the walls so you’ll definitely wanna look at other options within the area to go to.
All was easily acceptable. Good experiences for the multiple times I have shopped here
More interested in going home than answering a question about a drop in trigger for a PPQ. I find it hard to believe that with 20 minutes left they couldnt look up to see if a part was available and make a sale. Not even stop back in tomorrow or let me check and give you a call. This is not the employees I would have working in my store. Im pretty disappointed it looked like they had lots of inventory and could be a good place to give my buisness Thursday 1/23/2020 @ 640pm
Im new to the area, stopped in to just look around and see whats going on here.. Nice shop honestly. Got into a discussion with one of the guys there.. Was friendly, didnt push anything on me and gave ne some good info.. Ill revisit them when im ready.
Good people. Bought a rail and offered to install it for free. Took 10% off my purchase too. Will return
Was going to leave a detailed review, but it’s more of the same. Read the other 1* reviews and you’ll know what you’re walking into. They don’t even respond to 90% on the negative reviews so they definitely don’t care. There are many gun shops in town that are 1000% better than this place. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to find a better gun shop.
Nice shop, friendly staff. Kinda low on inventory right now but I cant blame them for that. Will definitely return.
Of all the gun stores in town this is one of the worst. Selection and prices are terrible. Staff is ok but nobody was wearing a mask even with a State of Colorado mandate.
Excellent store, very competitive prices. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. If you had a negative experience, Id say it has more to do with you than the store or staff.
Nice group of guys. Friendly service. Had just what I was looking for.
Rude....Period....for Gods sake, dont miss the ammo sign right inside the door and have to ask about a certain particular round....1st visit. Last visit....too bad....
Staff was knowledgeable, they seem to stock a really cool selection of both handguns and rifles. Great selection of AKs.
I had an excellent experience there my first time in! Kevin was super friendly and knowledgeable. He also was happy to answer all my questions! Highly recommend stopping in!
Very friendly staff here especially Ron! Very helpful! They have a pretty good selection on most things, plenty of at parts! Will go there continuously!
Great place to shop. They are always quick to work on your rifle, friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of your background. Thanks
Kevin was absolutely amazing. I went in for a left handed holster and he gave me a class in how to use it and assembled it on the spot. Highly recommended
The man we spoke with was nice enough but none of them were wearing masks and there was a massive Make America Great Again flag on the wall. Im not a fan of political businesses as it is... we decided to spend our money elsewhere.
Staff was friendly and helpful but inventory is small.
Everytime I’ve gone in I’ve had a great experience. Friendly and supportive staff with a pretty good inventory.
The store is run by very friendly staff. Several of the staff are AR-15 build enthusiasts and can guide you through and help you choose your parts to build your next AR right in store. In addition, the prices are very competitive and your money stays in Colorado Springs. If they dont have it, they can order it for you!
Horrible customer service! Egotistical and condescending owner/staff. Ill spend my money at the big chain stores from now on. This shop wont last long. My family and friends will never go back.
Steven was awesome very knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to assist me. They have a great selection and aren’t pushy at all felt like home! I will definitely be a regular customer.
Selection is good. Especially, the AR and handgun selection. Customer service, however, is nonexistent. I would not recommend this location.Update: Figured Id give them another chance 7 months later because I was looking for an end plate for an AR. The service clerk was the rudest I have literally ever spoken with. Decided to take my business else where.
Prices on guns and accessories were reasonable. I felt some of the ammo prices were a bit high but they did have bulk ammo for many calibers. Staff was helpful easy to work with.Dropped the rating down due to a staff member, who was trying to be helpful by showing me the trigger on his personal firearm, handed me a loaded firearm. Poor practice to not do a safety check when handing someone a gun. Luckily I did a check prior to testing the trigger.
Wonderful services, I will definitely come back thank you
I drove over an hour to look at their Can Can Concealment Hip Hugger and Sport Belt and I was very happy. Adam was absolutely amazing! He knew how the styles should fit and was extremely helpful and made sure I was comfortable and knew how to wear the holster properly. I would drive back down there in a heart beat! Thank you Adam!
Great place for good priced ammo and guns. Originally went in to get some .22 ammo and came out with a new 9mm pistol. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, if your serious about buying a gun this is the place to go. They have a very caring staff as in, if you go in and be respectable they will treat you right. Will be my go to shop from now on.
Went in to purchase a pistol. Placed a $20 deposit while I waited for my background check. Asked for 22 LR copper plated. When I got home, I noticed I was never credited the $20 deposit and was given 22 LR lead. The following week I had to drive all the way back for my $20 deposit and to return the 22 LR ammo. I was given flak for wanting to buy copper plated ammo. I will definitely never return here.
I am serious about my firearms. There is not a whole lot of shops that blow my mind when it comes to knowledge. These guys go out of there way to answer questions and if they dont know it they are quick to jump on the computer to help you figure it out. I also will not trust any one in town touching my weapons except them. Every one of my weapons they have serviced have gone past my expectations. Quality store and staff, great prices also.
Worst service in town. Came in twice the pady 2 days looking for a new pistol cash in hand, but they refuse to acknowledge my presence in the shop. Yesterday I was completely ignored. Today I was asked what I was looking for and after I told them and asked my question they just walked away behind the opposite counter than where I was shopping. Way to completely ignore a customer
Ive bought a few things from them a few years ago. I went in Thursday I found a gun I wanted to purchase I spoke with a salesman about the deal they had on a gun. I was assured several times that the gun I wanted was on sale it had a tag in the cabinet and the gun was on it. So I finally decided I would purchase 2 of them I went to the counter with the manager on duty to begin my background check. So while that was started the employee came up and looked at the guns then brought them over and said Im going to ring these up now and the sale was for February and they are gonna charge me full price!!! I said no! I was told several times this was the price that it was on sale they refused to honor it said no I pay full price. I got mad and said I dont want them. They said ok and that was all. I was disgusted with the customer service I received I will never go back!!!!
Very friendly staff and good prices
I havent been this angry/disappointed in a gun store in a long time. The selection is pretty good, that is true, but the prices are ridiculous. The worst part is the staff is completely unfriendly and looks down on the customers. I have been around weapons my whole life, and spent thousands on them, and they treat you like you are an idiot and lucky to be in their store.Prices example: Take .22lr, they sell 5000 for something like $540, that breaks down to $54 for 500 - not good for bulk at all. That is literally height of panic prices they are trying to sell at.Ive seen these stores before, they think they are so cool and know it all given some former military service, (hint the real men dont talk about it) that they look down on the civilians (never knowing who was in likewise). Its pathetic really.I guess they forget the number one rule of running a BUSINESS: you need customers who are happy and want to spend money here.Seeing the vast number of 1 star reviews, they wont be around forever.
Good place as long as youre friendly and honest they treat you the way you deserve.
Was in there today 2/22/20 and the store is having a huge sale!!!!20% off all stocked items. Went in for one pistol and left with 3!!!!Great selection and service.
I got kicked out of this store Also I got racially harassed by this two people named Kent and Glen, they should not working place like Gun store they have really bad customer service, I was talking to them and they said to me What ever! and not even look at me and turn around to his back! they treated me like nobody, also i believe that they both have major problem with dealing with Asian like me probably others also. I will never in my life will not go back there, Racially harassing store.Im 3rd generation military family served our country. Please dont go to this store.
I LOVE COLORADO SPRINGS GUNS AND AMMO!The customer service is outstanding. They are not condescending like a lot of gun shops. They have always treated me and my young boys with respect and listened to their questions. One of my sons is a firearm officianado and they are extremely patient and kind with his questions and comments. I have always gotten honest advice, even to the point of being recommended a firearm that was less expensive, but would fit my needs better. Im confounded by the few negative reviews and can only imagine they might be from competitors who are trying to tarnish the reputation of one of the best guns shops Ive ever visited. You can even see the care they take to try to satisfy those who left negative reviews. Keep up the amazing work, folks! Youre appreciated!I am in no way officially affiliated with this store or its employees...Im just a grateful, neighborhood customer.
Extremely nice staff and very knowledgeable. they will will go the extra mile to make sure you leave with something youre happy with and wont pressure you into buying something just to make a quick buck. they commonly have .22 in-stock as well (granted it is more expensive because they pay more to make sure they have it, but at least its available). they have a great selection of all sorts of firearms as well as more exotic ones. even if you go in to look around theyre helpful and like to chat with their customers
I have purchased 3 weapons from this store and have been incredibly pleased. Staff is incredibly helpful and they all love to talk about guns and what would best suit you. they are not pushy at all and wont try to sell you something you dont want or need. I plan to go to them for every purchase in the future.
Been to the Powers store a few times over the last couple years. Typically met with gents that seem to have chips on their shoulders. Not very helpful. Thought Id give it another try with the Powers store. Young guy with buzzed head was not helpful in any way shape or form. Was also rather rude and his level of knowledge about the weapon I was asking for was negligible. Which is okay, but he treated me like I had no clue what I was talking about, like the product didnt exist. Will not be back to that store.
Ive never been to this store before and really didnt know they were there. I decided to pay them visit and check out the store. The first thing I noticed was how clean and organized everything was, I was greeted in a simple friendly manor asking if he could help me find something. We started to discuss my want to replace the barrel on my AR. The clerk started to ask what I wanted, and was there going to be a specific purpose. He showed me options of barrels, hand guards, gas blocks and so on. He suggested that I keep my current upper receiver and gas tube and just replace the barrel and hand guard to make it more affordable. I was amazed that I could get what I wanted for a lot less then Ive seen anywhere. On the following day I went back over there with my old upper and they installed everything for me while I waited. I would highly recommend this shop for any of your firearm needs, I plan to make this my go to store from now on.Thank you,Rick
I had Great customer service all 4 times I have been in there, they dont hound you and always welcome to look around. but the second I ad questions, Derick? spend 30 minutes answering all my questions about a couple different firearms. they have everything you need to build your own AR-15 and have factory ones starting at $619.99! for April 2015!
Victor was extremely accommodating. I came in to purchase my first firearm after going to several other places and all of these guys knew what they were talking about. They were friendly and the purchase was quick and easy. They showed me how to take down my firearm and clean it since it was my birthday. They also started me out with some ammo and a cleaning kit. Definitely will go back for my future purchases.
Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo is a great place to buy a gun. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, but they werent afraid to google something for me if they didnt know the answer. Prices were fair, selection was great, and service was fantastic.Of all the places in town, give these guys a shot.
The sales guy I dealt with seemed to get upset when I gave him a couple criteria for what kind of gun I want. Upset, as in, he stated that he couldnt decide for me what kind of gun I want. This after I made it clear to him that I know little about guns. And this was about 15 seconds into the conversation, its not like I hemmed and hawed for 10 minutes before he got to this point. He had a testy, cantakerous attitude and was barely able to conceal a pretty annoying hostility. I didnt buy anything and wont be returning.
Im absoulty astonished at the Customer service here... how can anyone expect to a stick of gum let alone hundreds of dollars on a firearm when these people dont even sound like they want to live anymore. I will not call or go back to them any more and I will be sure to spread the word in our local firearm community.I just also wanted to add that if you do decided to buy from these folks check out their falcon location... great folks up there I mean it.
Employees need to be educated on the correct reading of laws. Especially if they themselves are at the time in violation of said law.
Nice shop, excellent ammo prices then add a 10% off on top. Very knowledgeable folks.
Walked in today planning to purchases two handguns. Stood by the case for 15 minutes waiting. Not one person even acknowledged I was in the store. Another customer came in, and he was immediately helped. Went to another gun shop was greeted as I walked in and found both hand guns I am interested in at lower prices. Unfortunately, it was Big R, and after the cashiers greeted me, I couldnt find anybody to help me, expect that service from a box store, not a small local business. It could have been an isolated occurrence, but it was terrible customer service.
Had the gun I wanted at a fair price. Was overall a good experience and I would buy here again. Also, the entire transaction took less than 15 minutes including back ground check and payment- freaky fast- cant ask for better than that! Thanks CSGA and Steve my sales guy- David
Man I have had several good experiences in this store but today was not one of them.... I bought a light for my g19 there yesterday 2/27/19. I took it shooting last night and it fell to pieces after about 30 rounds. So today I go into the store to EXCHANGE this broken garbage for a light that is of much better quality. I am told by an employee who doesnt even ask me one question before telling me to contact the manufacturer and that they have a lifetime warranty... (later discovered its actually 3 years) Keep in mind this light is exactly 24 hours old...Ive been down this road before so I called the manufacturer instead of waiting a week for them to reply to my email. The call with the manufacturer takes about an hour of getting bounced around, THEN being told that I have to take the light back to the dealer and they fill out the warranty since it is less than 30 days old they just return through their vendor ID and I get made whole on the spot. (Seems like a better route to me) it would have certainly avoided this negative review. Short story long, Im not going to argue with a guy who obviously is uninformed on the return policy for their products, so I give up you guys can keep the money! BUT you wont get anymore from me or anyone else I shoot with :)
Excellent selection, pricing was good and the staff were fantastic.
Simply over priced guns
No form of customer service so went down the road to Wal-Mart to find the same ammo for half the price. Wonder if this is where they receive their shipment from. Exact same ammo for over $10 cheaper also was able to find the gun I was looking for on clearance in the back of the store for $100 cheaper same gun and everything.
I was in the store for the second time this year and received excellent customer service. The staff is friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable.I refer everyone I know to this store for any weapon or ammo purchase.Your wont find better value or customer service from any other gun store in town. Guaranteed.
Every experience Ive had with Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo was positive. They helped me transfer a firearm that they didnt have in the store at the time. It was easy, reasonably priced, and very friendly. Even though they were out of this very popular firearm at the time I purchased one, they have a terrific selection. In all honesty I cannot wait to purchase a new Ruger Firearm from the guys over there. The store is setup well, and it was a pleasure to do business with the gang. Thanks for your help guys, I can only offer the HIGHEST praise for them and a top notch recommendation to anyone out there looking to purchase a firearm. Great prices and friendly staff. See ya soon!
Horrible customer service, wouldn’t recommend going here. The employees think they’re so much better than everyone else, pretty pathetic.
Walked in was asked if I was looking for something. Stated what i was looking for. My brother was ignored.i went with the assosiat and he didnt show me any thing. No questions nothing. Suggest no one else goes to this establishment.
Decent selection but poor service from some employees. More focus should be put toward helping customers with their firearm related goals instead of being rude. Prices are decent but then again, I can get the parts somewhere else without the attitude. Wish I could give this place a better score but I cant based on repeated experience here.
Knowledgeable, courteous, not pressuring or putting down, focused on helping the customer and occasionally stopping to educate. In addition, a very good gun smith. If things dont go well for you the customer, you made a mistake,
We needed warranty work on a gun purchased at their store and that meant nothing to them. Ruger said any FFL dealer should be able to accommodate us without charge to us or the dealer. They were simply content to take our money at the sale. Don’t buy anything here.
I have gone in three times now, and each time they have put up with my plethora of questions. Sure you could take them as condescending, but thats any specialty shop. They did a great job explaining everything I needed to know. They have specialty items for women, making it easier to find the right option as opposed to online purchases. That I am aware they a locally owned shop which I appreciate (I hope Im correct, but not certain now that I type this).I would recommend checking this shop out; and hey, if you dont like it, dont buy anything. I was pleased with the customer service and I appreciated the sarcasm from the staff because lets face it, sometime it is just flat funny. Bad reviews aside, for me, they were helpful and I will give them my business.
These guys are great very friendly very knowledgeable
Just what several other customers mentioned. Staff is inattentive and ill-mannered. Got negative vibes, glares, and mumbled unhelpful answers. Small businesses are great and should be supported, but Id recommend looking elsewhere. At least Cabelas or Bass Pro employees have something resembling a work ethic.
Best place In town. By far the cheapest in town. Their vast selection of weapons makes up for their lack of accessories. Just bought a 1911 from them for myself, will definitely be back for my wifes gun.
Always happy to see a new local gun shop but the problem with a few of them is that the staff is sarcastic and arrogant......this is definitely NOT the case with the guys at Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo. I was treated with respect and wasnt expected to know everything about every firearm on display. I wasnt afraid to ask questions and they were more than happy to answer any question I had. I was impressed with the selection and especially the prices. I found an EAA 40 caliber that was priced VERY well....bought it on the spot even though I had no intention of buying anything that day. Overall, a great experience which puts these guys in a category that only a few other local shops can boast.....buy here with confidence that youre getting a fair deal from a great LOCAL business!!!
The staff here was the rudest people I have encountered in co. They completely offended my wife and treated us like we either couldn’t afford the weapon or we were criminals. I was going to purchase a very expensive handgun from here. But they were so rude and abrasive. That I canceled the sale before the background check even came back. DO NOT go here!! We own a lot of firearms and we are purchasing lots more. But we will NEVER buy from here!
Went in to buy a firearm that was not in stock. These guys were able to locate what I wanted and order it. The staff was really nice, did not try to talk me into a different firearm. I did have to call a few times to see if it had arrived since I was not notified the day I was originally told, but no big deal deal.2 out of the 3 guys working were great, 1 piped into a conversation about an optic and trashed what I wanted to buy to push the brand they had on-hand but again not a big deal for me. I just bought my expensive ACOG from another shop here in town.
Stopped in today and spoke with Derek about a problem I was having with an AR 15 lower assembly build I was doing. My safety wouldnt work, the hammer would drop when on safe. I didnt even buy my parts there but he swapped out several parts and found the culprit to be my Tactical Machine lower. As soon as he put all my parts in an Andersen lower, it worked great. Then he measured my TM lower and showed me the measurement difference and mine was way out of spec. Naturally I bought the lower and he assembled the entire thing for me while I waited. Then, when I paid, there was no charge for labor. Thanks Derek, I will trust you guys with my future firearms needs.
Do yourself a favor and go to any other gun store but this one. Retarded employees that never know what thier talking about and have a limited selection of just about nothing. Dont waste your time here.
Lots of good stuff. Lots of knowledge . I like to pick their brains about building up different rifles
Great staff...really friendly. Hooked me right up. Buy ammo somewhere else if you can.
I walked into the store and received a hello from every employee. I went looking for Pepper Spray and walked out of the store with the spray and a Bersa 380 as well. Adam was very helpful and patient with me. The entire staff started helping me on buying the gun, holster, ammo and the pepper spray. I was treated very well and will go back to see this store for any future gun needs. Victor even remembered me when I walked in, I had bought a ammo loader 6 months ago. That was very kind of him to remember me for only buying one item. Thanks to all the staff members that helped me that day 4/22/2016
I cannot overstate the quality of service that I have received from the guys at this store. I used to only purchase my guns online because I was usually able to find better deals than in an actual store. However, you cannot hold a gun and see how it feels on the internet. Then I stumbled into this store and found that their prices are almost exactly the same as most of the best deals on the internet. The guys here know their stuff. They will talk you through the different guns and help you get the one that best fits your needs and budget. Bonus, the owner is a former Marine who just loves guns and his passion shows when you talk to him. Thank you Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo for running your business right. You have earned a customer for life.
I’ve bought a little over $6000 in weapons among various gun stores in the last 6 months. I would rate this shops selection in the top 10%. However, The shop struggles with customer satisfaction. I wish I had read their past reviews before purchasing. I bought a NEW pistol that has an extraction issue. The brand new pistol has had three rounds fired but will not extract the casing after firing. I took it back to the store looking for a little help in facilitating the warranty work with the manufacturer but literally was told I was on my on. I even offered to pay them to help facilitate the repair of the product they sold me to no avail. Disappointed and felt it necessary to share my experience.
They were the rudest people Ive ever encountered in a store. Im shocked they stay in business. I was looking for a specific caliber hunting rifle so I asked if they had any. Instead of just telling me, the guy told me to look myself, they have papers on the wall telling you what the guns are. OK so now I have to stand there for the next 10 min studying every sign on the wall to find what Im looking for. I tried starting a normal conversation with him about a particular gun by asking about the magazine. Instead of engaging with me, he told me look at the gun and figure it out yourself . . . wow, they must not want to sell any guns there. Im glad at least Im not the only person whos had this experience.
First, these guys are small, but with a good selection. Ive always found their prices as good as or better than other stores in the area, and carry most of the popular guns.I purchased tritium pistol sights that were manufacturer defective (front sight had no glow at all, I didnt check them in store). Altho store has a no return policy on optics (common industry practice), there was no hassle in returning these. Put the customer first, and they have my business from now on.I will agree with D that a few of the staff could get with customers quicker if they quit talking to each other, I gotta laugh because that is also common in every gun store.$20 private transfers! Beat that at any other store!
I will never shop here again!! My friend and I went in here on Sunday and walked in 4 men working 2 men with 2 customers I don’t know if they have a problem with women but they didn’t bother to acknowledge us Ladies or say hi or ask if they can help us with anything, we gave them a fair chance walking around looking at buying more guns and amo but got nothing. We walked out they missed out on $1000 sale and two customers.
First time in. Pretty rough service. Definitely didn’t feel welcome in this place. There was one guy at the back gun counter speaking to another gentleman. No one even acknowledged me coming in. Took about 10 min for anyone else to step out from the back office to see if I needed help. I was looking pistol sights for my Glock and, being unfamiliar with the shop, could not find them myself. I did not purchase the sights here. Sorry folks. Gotta work on the customer service dept.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR GUN HERE FOR REPAIRS!!!!! I purchased my gun from this shop, and after shooting it a couple times I took the gun apart to clean it. Being new to guns I practiced several times taking it apart and putting it back together. At one point the slide jammed. I was unable to unjam it, so I took it to a neighbor who was unsuccessful at un-jamming it. The next day I took it back, they worked on it and said it was fixed. I picked it up, used one time and it jammed again. I took it to a different gun smith. When he took a look at it he asked who worked on the gun. I told him Guns and Ammo did. He told me to go back to them and demand a new gun because this one is DESTROYED! He said there is significant damage to the inside of the gun with many bent parts. I went back to Guns and Ammo and told them what the gun smith said. He told me he would look into it. They got back to me to tell me that I need to send it back to H&K for warranty work. So I did. After H&K had it for 3 weeks I called to see what was taking so long. The repair guy told me that there was a lot of damage to the inside of the gun and they were doing their best to repair it. I asked if he could tell what the damage was from. He said someone took small tool and a hammer to it. Keep in mind, I wasnt able to get the slide off so there is no way I could have caused this. The tech told me that this was not a warranty issue because of the obvious hammer damage and that they would repair it so it worked fine, but there would still be a lot of cosmetic damage to the inside and outside of the gun. I got the gun back with a bill for $104. I asked Guns and Ammo to replace my gun for the cosmetic damage they caused and to reimburse me for the $104 repair from H&K for the damage they did to the gun and the $20 they charged me to FIX the gun. They told me that there isnt any truth in my story and refused to pay for the damage they did, or replace my gun. I have a VERY good job and have no problem purchasing another gun so this isnt about the money. Its about a company who would damage someone elses property and then accuse them of lying. I will never do business there again, and I plan on taking this to small claims court. We dont need business like this in Colorado springs, and I hope my story helps people make an educated decision on where they want to shop. Keep in mind when you look at the average star rating of this place, I have read that in most cases, the first 20 reviews are not accurate reviews. In many cases they are done by people who work there, or friends and family of those who work there. Considering that at the time I wrote this, the place had a 4.8 average rating on google maps, but only 22 reviews, I highly doubt the rating is accurate.
Even with a receipt they wont take returns.....
Colorado Springs Guns and Ammo East - Falcon is the best location IMO. Great company overall.
Well presented and a really good stock. Issue is their prices are more than what youd pay at a big box store and their sales are still pricier then what youd pay at like a sportsmans warehouse.
I am not new to the firearms world but my visit was to buy my first ever handgun the service was excellent i received valuable information that helped me decide on my purchase they explained the process on buying a firearms in the state of Colorado and then very politely yet professionally informed me that i have to be 21 to purchase a handgun and told me i would have to wait a month till my birthday to purchase my pistol. Ill be back soon for more
Well, I dont even know where to start. This is by far the worst gun shop my family has ever visited. Their staff were rude and condescending, insanely over priced on ammo and treated my wife horribly. We tried to shop locally owned businesses but ended up going to Bass Pro Shops to find a .22 for our 8 year old.UPDATE- My wife went back in today and was treated entirely differently this go around. I appreciate the fact that the concerns we had previously werent present this time and she had a much better experience. We prefer to shop local, small businesses and will continue to do so.
I wish I had read the reviews of this place before walking in the door! DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! Their service is trash and their attitudes are worse. Looks like many people have the same complaints I do.... DONT DO IT.
Went in to store was greeted with a friendly hello..asked if they carried reloading equipment was told they did not. Ok ...then asked if they carried 6.8 spc ammo...was told no and that nobody in town carries that ammo..FALSE STATEMENT...Then was pretty much ignored after that....WONT DO BUSINESS HERE EVER...SHOP ELSEWHERE.
Very knowledgeable and nice guys here.
In my opinion this gun store doesnt deserve any stars. I dont know if they are racist or dont care to much for people of color. Today as I walked into the store I was looking forward towards purchasing a firearm. As soon as I walked in I wasnt greeted which isnt a big deal to me seems to be the norm in society now and days. The older white male with the beard was helping a couple and his other staff were just sitting behind the desk. No one asked me if I needed help or anything. As soon as a white male came in the store the older white gentlemen with the beard greeted him as he was still assisting the white couple and told his staff to help him. At this point I was literally right in front of him and he just acted like I wasnt there. The thing that really pissed me off was when another white couple came into the store and he greeted them as well and asked if he could help them, so before I lost my cool and cussed someone out I just walked out. It could be a zombie apocalypse and that could be the last gun store on Earth and I still will not return.😡😡😡
Great staff, very friendly. I love my 1911
I bought a firearm online, and had it shipped to them, they treated me with respect and well when i came to pick up the gun that wasnt their problem . overall i will be buying anything local their,, they have good selection and staff is knowledgeable and friendly
Great people. Excellent service. Awesome selection.
Bought a .40 from here and these guys were super helpful. I went in on a monday to look around and took about an hour asking questions and getting the feel for the different guns. Came back that friday and the staff remembered me and i bought my weapon, Went back 6 months later and the Gunny remembers me and even had a suggestion on my next weapon.
Asked these idiots for a brick of .22 ammo and the they gave me 17 hmr. When I realized they gave me the wrong caliber I took the unopened box back with the receipt later the same day, they told me it was illegal to return the ammo. They wouldnt even exchange it for the .22lr I originally ask for or even apologize for wasting my time and 80$ wasted on a box of ammo I cant use.
Decent gun store but they push only what they want to sell you not what you are looking for.
To eager to please at a price and if you dont mind it the go for it.
