If it must be ordered please have another sales person show you what was entered into the computer. I was a repeat customer so I trusted the mattress and frame order was correct. The Wrong frame was delivered to my house. Delivery guy called the store and scheduled the floor display frame to be delivered the following week. I went to the store 30 minutes later to check the display frame for damage. Good call on my part. The frame I picked out wasn’t on the floor in a Queen size. Original salesman said he ordered the wrong frame and said if I want the correct frame it would cost an additional $800. No, I was quoted a price of $4000 and I agreed to the quote in good faith. There was no offer to make this mistake right and no apology.

Dennis made finding the right fridge a breeze. We provided the handful of things we wanted in a new fridge and he gave us the four options they had in stock.The installers Calvin and Aaron (sp?) were considerate as well as helpful. They were careful in removing the old fridge ensuring not to damage or scape anything. After they hooked up the new fridge they went through the features for us. It was a delight meeting them.

My wall ovens didnt come in on time to install on the day I took off work (I work as a subcontractor, and no work, no pay) and instead of me having to take another day off work, Downtown Appliances thought outside the box and found upgraded ovens that were in their warehouse and able to be installed that day at no extra charge for the upgrade. I highly recommend shopping local at Downtown Appliances. Their installers went above and beyond as well and were very professional. I am very pleased with their customer service and intend to purchase my new refrigerator and washer and dryer from them as well.

Called for help on a Samsung oven. Requesting any help they could provide, paying them to come out and look at it, or allowing me to talk to a service tech to help fix the problem. The guy i talked to refused to help me, saying they were to busy to help anyone. After a short conversation i realized I was wasting my time and hung up.

Its been over 7 months since I ordered a GE Induction Cooktop, and the projected delivery date has been moved out for the 4th or 5th time to 2 months from now! I understand that Downtown Appliance does not manufacture the appliances, but I am disappointed at their apparent lack of relationship, factory contacts and influence with their vendors. They apparently place orders as anyone could do on line, and are equally powerless and ignorant as to whether the order will EVER be filled.

We love Downtown Appliance. Lauren was super helpful to assist us with purchasing a refrigerator, and has assisted us with appliance purchases in the past. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and sensible. We dont always like having a need for a different appliance, but know who to call when we do (theyre also great for service!).

I just had a Bosch dishwasher 300 series installed by Lee, from Downtown Appliance Home Center! Lee was efficient, putting a board under the dishwasher because the new flooring I had installed 4 years ago was too high. Don Helmreich had to cut the old dishwasher out this past Monday, on his day off! Lee did a monumental job installing my new dishwasher, and cleaned up afterwards! Thank you, Lee and Don, for doing a great job!

We wanted a Bosch counter-depth refrigerator for our new home which had great reviews online but no one in town had one on display. When I called Downtown Appliance, the woman said they had one in their warehouse and she would call me as soon as they had it on the floor. She called an hour later, said they were putting it on the floor. We went out to see it and knew it was perfect for our home. Every question we asked was answered and we bought it on the spot.They scheduled the install to fit my calendar after our closing date; I didnt have to go on their timeline.The installers were PERFECT. My new wood floors were not scratched, the didnt touch any door ways on the way in, and sailed through the installation in just a few minutes including hooking up the ice maker. The refrigerator had to fit in an exactly-sized frame so it would appear built-in and they did it perfectly. I was simply amazed.The service and sale were exceptional and I have to say, after looking at every other appliance store including the big stores in town, this was the MOST respectful service we have ever received buying an appliance. I felt valued and respected instead of feeling like a floor rep in other stores had to waste their time with my questions.We are now in the market for a dryer to match our washer and an upright front-free freezer. I wont shop anywhere else. Thank you Downtown Appliance for restoring my faith in businesses that still do business the old-fashioned way: with respect for my questions AND my home.

My salesman was Don Logan. He was very informative and extreamly nice. I orded my washing machine on Wed and it was delivered on Friday. The delivery men, X and Joe were awesome. Every person I interacted with was knowledgeable in their field and concerned for my business. I was treated with respect and grace even when my situation became complicated (see below). Logan really worked hard for me, so I want to call him out by name.I needed a fridge for a new house ASAP, but I wanted to make sure it was the right fridge for the right space. Eventually I found what I liked (a Cafe). Downtown Appliance partially price-matched a competitors incredible offer and could also get it to me 2 weeks sooner than the other guy (which made up any further difference in cost for me). In fact, no one in town could get me what I was looking for as fast as DA could. Delivery guys were awesome. They didnt mind me hovering a little, answered my questions, and they were alert about unnecessary contact they may have inside the house (its high COVID season). Then we hit the aforementioned complication.Because I wanted a very specific fridge on a very tight timeline, I had to order it sight-unseen and gamble on it fitting properly. Hard to explain in a review, but dimensions were tricky. Turns out, the hinge swings the door wider than anyone could have known without seeing it in person. Panicked, I called Logan to return it and get a different fridge. Before I bought the fridge, Logan had explained there was a restocking fee, so I was not surprised. What surprised me was the hustle to get me a different fridge that worked in the space. I no longer had the time to do my usual meticulous shopping, so I handed my list of must-haves to Logan and trusted his judgement to get me something good and quick. He delivered. 3 days later, delivery guys hauled the first fridge off and put the second fridge in (again with great care and attention). And the second fridge has been a dream. Bigger, but fits better (again, hard to explain briefly). Runs quieter. Makes ice more quickly. Cost less - enough less that I didnt even notice the restocking fee from the first fridge. I should have trusted Logan more with picking out the first fridge.I cannot be more pleased with my experience at Downtown Appliance. Were all set on appliances for now, but I can say for certain well be back.

Great service. I bought a dishwasher there in 2014 that required multiple repairs over the years. Downtown Appliance contacted the manufacturer, which provided a free replacement, with free installation, in 2018. Very impressed. Doubt Id get that level of support from a big-box retailer. They also have serviced my refrigerator and dryer. If you need a new appliance or service, start with Downtown Appliance.

Technician was friendly and called ahead of time which was appreciated. I was informed about the $74.50 charge service call and diagnostics, however after the repair was made I was provided an invoice for $163.50. No quote or price was given prior to the repair. One part was used, a bolt, costing about $.25 or less and technician was there approx. 15 minutes. When I called to inquire about the cost and asking for a breakdown I was told theres a book that details out how much they should charge for the jobs completed and it has nothing to do with time spent. I paid $89.00 for a bolt to be replaced. Cannot recommend for repairs.

We purchased a new range, hood and refrigerator when we remodeled our kitchen. The racks in the freezer would not stay in place. When you placed food on the racks, the racks fell.I was charged $227;to replace defective racks. GE should stand behind their product. When you buy an appliance, you shouldn’t have to pay to replace a defective part.Downtown called GE. The problem has been fixed.Thank you Downtown!

My parents have bought here for a long time, but I bought a $800 Frigidaire Freezer and in less than 2 years it is not working. No warranty. No one seemed to care at Downtown Appliance. Go to Sears and buy Kenmore - Ive never been disappointed when I bought there in the past.

Downtown Appliance rocks, plain and simple. Wonderful, family-owned business that cares about its customers. Lauren helped us find a dishwasher that met our needs--she narrowed down choices ahead of time knowing our family and what would work best for us. I should disclose shes a friend of mine, and even when she was at our house a few years ago and heard my dishwasher being quite loud, she never mentioned it until I texted to tell her it was on its last legs. And then it died a few days later. I was able to purchase the dishwasher with my kiddos in tow, which is a feat in and of itself. Super easy purchase, and I am in love with our new dishwasher! Mike, the service technician, was thorough in finding the problem with our ice maker and resolving it on our GE Profile refrigerator. He is experienced and very knowledgeable. In addition, he was courteous and determined to satisfy us, his customer. Should we experience a problem with our refrigerator in the future, I will call upon Mike.

Had them come out for a repair on my Bosch dishwasher. The technician was very nice and on time. Unfortunately his diagnosis was wrong and he gave me a quote of the price of a new dishwasher to repair. Saying that I bought a cheap ($600) dishwasher 3 years ago. Argh. So I did a little Internet research and found an online place with great YouTube instructions. Had the part delivered in 2 days and installed the new water valve myself in about 2 hours.I keep trying to like/use this company as they are local and downtown but man it is hard. Yet again their customer service staff have proven how unhelpful they can be. Asked for a simple resolution & you would have thought I asked for the world. Maybe Monday’s are bad for everyone.

Super-nice repairman cost $75 to not fix anything. Said a part was broken that wasnt. Simple enough fix, I thought, so I bought the part myself. Now Im out over $100 with a broken washer and an extra balance ring for a Whirlpool washer. Super-nice guy, though. Nearly sold me a used rebuild.

Had the heating element go out on my Samsung Dryer. Removed the old element, started searching online for a replacement. It was a Sunday. All the big hardware stores in town were out of stock, was going to have to order it. Ive done business with Downtown before and had a good result, so I thought Id give them a call. They had 3! Pricing was more than the internet, but I expected it and its always worth a couple of bucks to do business locally. They are nice people there and while I was buying the part, I got some invaluable advice on clearing the air vent system (which was terribly clogged, had to climb onto the roof to clear). So, happy customer! Probably should have hired them to do the whole repair, but I like to fix things myself!

Went to the store twice before my kitchen remodel thinking that my first visit was just on an off day for them. Although the store was empty, the staff had no interest in me as a customer. Subsequently, I purchased my upscale Bosch appliances on line, shipping fees were negated by not having to pay tax.Although listed as a Bosch service provider, they refuse to do warranty work unless the product was purchased there.

Bought Viking appliances for a new home. Hinge broke on the oven and we called them to service it. Charged us $74.50 to tell us it needed a new hinge and wanted over $500 to install new hinges. Youre better off buying elsewhere.

Dishonest with pricing and service. I was quoted one fee for service call. Service tech showed up, replaced a wire nuts, and billed $85 more than the price I was given this far. When I called to ask about the price it was stated the repair person should have asked me about repair and quoted a price first. However, there is no concessions made despite not following policy and doing work that was not authorized. They did point out they offered an apology...

Horrible! I purchased a Fridgidaire refrigerator there 4 years ago, and when the door shelves pulled off part of the (incredibly flimsy) door with them, they told me Frigidaire wouldnt do anything for me (would have been nice to know before they sold it to me!) and then tried to sell me a new door for $295. Called Frigidaire and they were no help, but they only wanted $235 for the door. Should have gone to Lowes - they were cheaper and the service couldnt have been any worse!
