Overall experiences at McDaniels Subaru have been favorable. When booking my service appointment I specifically delayed date to assure they would reserve a loaner car. In spite of that clear discussion with the scheduler 2 weeks earlier. There was no loaner car available when I arrived, and I was told they had no record of my request. My appointment was at 08:00. I did not leave the shop until after 17:00. Like Dopey the Dwarf said when he was misidentified Im not Happy.

I brought a really nice used vehicle from here, the team was excellent in sales, however I noticed the tires were different brands and requested new ones before I purchased. Three days later the salesman picked my car from my job to have the tires replace(great) hands were tied up, Thanks to the salesman Abel for reaching back out, to see if things were better. Thanks to Angel for the finance manager for job well done, thanks to William Holmes for making sure things were going good.

Fantastic service. Didnt know how to handle updates and had issues reprogramming power windows. Took care of everything and worked me in even though the next appointment wasnt until late August. Got the car back washed and vacuumed. Definitely recommend this dealership.

Not pleased with the service department. Purchased a used Ascent in December and was told several times the first oil change was free by several people. The tag on the windshield said to bring it in for a complimentary first oil change as well.I was informed several times that I did not need to make a reservation for a simple oil change but when I went in on Monday they did not have room for my vehicle.My wife came in today for an oil change and they charged her $62 for an oil change that eas supposed to be free and that told her it was for new vehicles only.I can’t believe I almost purchased two vehicles from this dealership. I’ll never be back. I am fuming.

Yesterday, I had an very satisfying experience with McDaniels Subaru and it was primarily thanks to the excellent service of one of their newest sales representatives Angel. I had to trade in my car for something that could tow a trailer, and Angel knew exactly what we needed and helped us find a great deal on a 2017 Colorado. The process was easy and they worked with me to come up with agreeable terms for both parties. Would highly recommend and will be purchasing from them in the future. This location has great customer service! When traveling through the area, an emergency repair was urgently needed. They got the car in right away, even though we didnt have an appointment (I do recommend making appointments), and service was performed without delay. The entire facility (including the restroom) was so clean; I was shocked to learn that dogs are allowed in the waiting area as well! The price was very reasonable and then the staff, without being asked, gave an additional discount on labour costs just to be helpful. Their follow-up has been great as well. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

I am giving a ONE STAR for VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! The funny thing is I actually haven’t personally been to the dealership and/or interacted with anyone there.I just moved here from Texas and need an oil change. I went online to try to schedule it. I used their chat to speak with someone and Victoria was nice, took my name/number AND said Katie would call me. I did not receive a phone call. The next day I called, went to voicemail. Still haven’t been able to personally speak to anyone about making an appointment.I am making this review because if this is how you virtually deal with customers then I’m not sure what you guys are doing is good customer service. I’m sure it might be different if I was there in person but I’m questioning why it has to be difficult when I’ve used your chat/messaging online so I could make an appointment even after you asked for my name/number so Katie can call me.

McDaniels Subaru offered stellar service. Nik supplied a courtesy vehicle immediately for the lengthy service and an estimated finish time for the service. He phoned later to supply an accurate completion time.The service lobby is neat and clean with restrooms, assorted seating, and drinks and snacks.The repair was complete and the vehicle neat on return.Everyone I met treated me with courtesy and respect. Since I live an hour from Columbia, such excellent service makes the trip worthwhile.

I worked with Abel Aguilar and he was great. It was my first time buying by myself and he made it so much easier than I expected. I test drove and looked at a couple cars on a Saturday and walked away without any pressure to buy that day. When I went back, I had done a lot of research and the vehicle price they gave was fair and straightforward. There were hiccups with my trade it that couldve caused a lot more issues but Abel went above and beyond to get that figured out and did the leg work for me, which I much appreciated. Great place, great team. I went in knowing more or less what I wanted, and Jim Harper helped me drive out same day in a beautiful 2019 Subaru Forester. I had lapsed credit because my last car was paid off over a year ago and I dont have any other line of credit, but they still hooked me up.

I drive a 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited. I had been having issues with multiple battery failures/ replacements and eyesight disabling. After a nearly $200 diagnostic charge, and a suggestion to recalibrate the eyesight for $270 or replace the windshield for $1000, it was clear to me that the technicians did not bother to open the hood, but merely plug in for codes.If they had opened the hood, they would have found a discharged battery, a non-factory battery harness, and a software update. Only after taking the vehicle to Subaru South Blvd (who didnt have the gall to dismiss my concerns), was the issue resolved. Had I continued to be serviced at this dealership, I might have had a system failure while driving. Their customer service is lacking!

Mike is great to work with. Got what I wanted in the price range I wanted. Very happy with both my vehicles.

I am very pleased with my experience at McDaniels Subaru. I test drove a Crosstrek on Wednesday and Friday I drove it off the lot! The staff was friendly and polite. The salesman offered us water and even let me use his phone charger. There was a lot of hassle since I live out of state but they took it all in stride. Of course you have to do the price dance like at any car dealership. I recommend spending a day just test driving and getting an idea of your budget. When you are ready, make an appointment and stick to your price plan. Dont be afraid to say no. Even if I had not gotten my Subaru from McDaniels I would still recommend them! Great experience!

I had some recall work and again I had a very pleasant experience with my service advisor Darrell. He greeted me by name and had a loaner ready. As always Darrell kept me informed of the progress on my vehicle and let me know when it was done; and the work was done well. I have never had a problem with any maintenance or repair work done at McDaniel Subaru. This is the best dealership I’ve dealt with in terms of quality of service, friendliness and customer care. I bought my Forester while living out of state and am certainly glad I found this dealership when I moved back home to SC. If I could give more than five stars I would!

We went down the road to KIA and were treated like royalty.

So, I posted a bad review a year and a half ago. I have to say they are so much better!!! You can definitely tell they have changed, they will go out of the way to make sure you are happy and important. They contacted me to schedule my recall appointment. They offered a curtesy car which I had been told before was not aloud. I live 40 min. away and dont have a day to sit and wait for a car to be repaired. Everything was quick, friendly and very efficient. The department has great waiting area with many refreshments, comfy seating and work space. Nik & Darrell went out of their way to help me make sure everything was perfect. I cant thank them enough. I have had an issue with the radio, Android Auto, sound system since I bought my new Ascent and every time I have been to the department they would always give me an excuse and not really care that it didnt work. Nik & Darrell finally took the time to fix it. I cant thank them enough. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

If you own a Subaru, do not take it anywhere other than to those knowledgeable people at McDaniel Subaru. Believe me, I speak from experience. They know what they are doing and they stand behind it. They are always ready to answer any questions you may have. A Subaru is a very fine vehicle and if you take care of it, it will take care of you. Those at Subaru encourage preventive maintenance and I agree with them.

Friendly service, but HOLY MOTHER OF GOD do they take forever for service. Oil changes (three so far (have taken 3-5 hours). Had them look at my clutch today, they guaranteed it would be 2-3 hours. When my 2017 Forester wouldnt start in Kroger parking lot at 6:20 pm Aug 30 while on drive from Pittsburgh, PA to Florida, Lynn at McDaniels Subaru dealership went above and beyond to help us ! Typical car dealership! Not much difference between the personnel of McDaniels than politicians. Ah the salesman did me a nice favor but soon as the papers were signed, it was a different story. I financed my car, then decided to pay for it. Asked over and over to pay it off. I was told by many on several occasions I had to wait till the first payment to do so. That is completely wrong. Absolutely the same with extended warranties. Though it took me three days to cancel that warranty. I left message after message. They are still holding $2400 plus of my money. I was told they had to process the return and it would take this time.(6 to 8 weeks )Subarus are great cars but go some where else to buy one. Sorry I ever went there. Edgar was a great salesman! He sold me a 2018 nissan rouge and still has been accessible for any questions or concerns since then. I would highly recommend him.

I had an excellent time at McDaniels Subaru! McDaniels himself was there and was extremely helpful in find me a brand new Subaru. The staff was very polite and the prices here are so low I almost did a double take. I am happy with my purchase and will try not to drive off a bridge. I do question the work place dress code though. The receptionist was dressed walrus, and McDaniels was wearing a suit 5 sizes to short. Im pretty sure there was an actual chicken in there as well. The chicken was undercooked Id say. So undercooked, that as Gordon Ramsay once said, it was so undercooked it was still walking around. Luckily I did not have to eat it to join the Illuminati, bit they let in anyways. Overall if I could I would put 10/5 stars on yelp. But since This is Google and Im bad at math, I will just put 5 stars.

Purchased a car here from out of state. Edgar Palucho and his sales manager Ray were both extremely helpful throughout the process. We negotiated the terms of the deal over the phone. My wife, Mary Catherine Garner, and I were interested in a used vehicle from this dealership. We were told that another couple were already coming to look at it. They decided not to purchase it. Edgar Palucho from this dealership called us from his own cell phone to tell us that the vehicle was still available. He told us straight up that the vehicle is used and has some minor scratches and thats why the previous customers decline to buy it. I appreciated the honesty from Edgar and he made the car buying experience great. We had a 5pm appointment two days before Christmas and we got approved, good financing and drove the car off the lot before 7:30pm. Ill be looking at this dealership again for my next car purchase.
