I have purchased multiple automobiles from JTs Kia in Columbia, SC in the past. This most recent purchase was handled very professionally by Ryan, my sales rep. He did not apply any pressure and did not hurry me through the sales process. He was very thorough explaining each step of the purchase documentation. I will not hesitate to go back for my next car.

This is the best dealership that I had the pleasure of buying not one vehicle from them but two vehicles from them within six months apart. The salesman (Ron) was just outstanding in both sales. The first vehicle was a 2021 Sorento Hybrid. The dealership had to special order this vehicle that I wanted and Ron kept me informed with every step of this vehicle being made. Everyone involved in the closing were awesome to deal with. I was able to get top dollar for my trade-in at this dealership(JTs). The second vehicle that I purchased was a 2012 Optima. Ron again went out of his way to find me just the right vehicle. So, if you are looking for a new or used vehicle, it would be to your best interest to drive to Columbia and ask for Ron.
Individual salesperson was good, the final sales manager who tried to do the hard negotiations was not great, found him to be extremely lacking in customer service skills. Attitude was very much, if you know whats good for you... Ultimately purchased the vehicle I wanted and am pleased with the vehicle but I cannot recommend this dealership. Sales price magically fluctuated from initial discussions when I arrived to time of purchase.
Super late here on my end, but I had to make sure i came by and left a review for Mr. Jacobe. He took care of my wife & i on her purchase of a 2021 Kia Sorento w/ navigation package. There was no rush or pushiness w/ Jacobe. Even though he was busy, he never let us feel like we were a burden. He let us Test drive a few vehicles until we were happy, and had the car prepped and ready for pickup promptly once we decided. We got a great deal and even better service!My wife is a Drill sergeant and Im a Veteran, so we are pretty picky on attention to detail to say the least, and Jacobe was on top of it!Id also like to mention the young lady who helped us figure out how to use the electronics options package, but cant remember her name. She was well informed about the products and had us ready to ride in a out 10 minutes.All in all the transaction took about 1.5 hrs... Start to finish! I will surely look to purchase another vehicle from Jacobe and the JTs Kia team. Thanks a lot Jacobe! We love this thing!

The environment and staff were both so welcoming and awesome and they made the process as easy as it could be. I left with exactly what I was looking for at a price that is perfect for me also. One of the best parts of the transaction was at the end when Taylor took her time to show me the ins and outs of my new car! Having problems with the set of tires I bought from Jts Kia of Columbia SC. Have contacted them twice now about the problem and they act like they dont want to talk about the situation. Explained what is going on and Im getting the run around and this is not the first time Having a problem with their service department. Guess I will have to talk to the right person. I rate Jts Kia of Columbia SC a 1 out of 10 dont go there for any reason!

Beautiful car, beautiful people at JTs KIA of Columbia SC. Very happy with the new KIA K5, very pleasant and reasonable deal, willing to make you happy with what you need. Wanted a new car with lots of legroom and extras and even took $2000 off with the old Mazda that I traded. Great sales people and financing with KIA finance as well. My credit was not outstanding but they worked with my score for the best deal possible. Should be set for the next 10 years when I trade in for the self-driving, electric powered, climate conscious KIA spaceship that saves the planet. Five thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍😆

Wish I could leave a zero star rating. Worse customer service, can’t get in to get an oil change. Was told warranties get voided if I go anywhere else for a man oil change but booking is over a month out. New car and can’t even get my updates or oil changed in a timely manner

When I arrived I was greeted promptly and professionally. Although I had my youngest in tow, they were patient and friendly. All of my questions were answered before I left and they gave me an amazing deal. This is my second time shopping with a JT dealership and I give it 5 stars. They even helped with my carseats. 👏 Every member of the staff whether part of the sale or not was nice and accommodating. The sales person that helped me was Ron. Yall go see him.

The buying experience was very cordial and easily accomplished. Our salesman Bryan was a delight to converse with and was very helpful. Have not yet experienced the service aspect, but with the friendly purchasing atmosphere, the service should be just as easy.
I Recommend Ron if you ever go to JTs Kia. He treats you as if you are his only client. Every time I called or texted him he responded immediately. No pressure for me to buy at all (this is a turn off for me at dealerships). He knew everything about the vehicle I was purchasing. He took time out to explain everything on our first encounter. I didnt even buy the vehicle until a week or two later. Basically he was just spending that time with us without a sale made. Ron literally walked us through the whole process. Even when I negotiated he remained calm never changing his positive demeanor. The paperwork for the sale was a breeze. Everything was done with a smart screen and pen. I would buy from here again. The office was quiet, not crowded and the hours were great. We purchased our vehicle on a Sunday afternoon. We were in and out in about an hour. Hands down easiest stress free car purchase experience!

I was sent to them by the Kia dealership in Greenwood, SC because I was all the way in Sumter and my car had started overheating and the one in Greenwood had just previously worked on my car but I was 2 hours away. So I get there and these ppl are rude and dismissive, making comments about how theyre not gonna do it for free. They eventually look at my car and finally get it back running normally, but only because apparently Kia in Greenwoods manager had to talk to their manager so theyd help me out. At one point the guy just hands me my keys and says were too busy and backed up to look at it, the other dealership needs to make arrangements for you. And they werent that backed up, I was paying attention to the other customers they were helping and how many cars were in line front of me because I overheard that same man say it to another customer before me. How can you just leave somebody stranded in another city with no way home and cant even at least try to help them? All they had to do was check my radiator and coolant levels. They acted like I wanted them to take my car apart or something.
Great experience. A. Thomas was a great help to my wife. The process was painless and quick. Taylor made the signing of the documents quick as possible.

My husband & I patronized this dealership yesterday. It was by far one of the least stressful car buying experiences ever. Not only were we able to sell our Telluride yesterday, we emerged from this dealership with a brand new vehicle that had many of the features we loved in the car we parted with.Marv was our salesman. He was polite, professional, and did not at any time try to exert the normal tricks of the trade, nor did he ever apply any pressure. Marv was responsive & gave us space so that we could consider the vehicles on the lot & discuss our goals privately. Mike was transparent, professional, and straightforward throughout the process as well.Buying a car takes more time that anyone is comfortable with. That said, the buying process was efficient & was aided by Gioias use of the most up to date technology Ive ever seen in a car buying transaction. She offered us additional coverages -- which, we declined -- but, she remained professional & allowed us to comb over the paperwork. Gioia was pleasant & professional throughout the closing process. What I found to be equally impressive was the fact that all of our contract materials were saved to a thumb drive, which was provided to us for our records/reference. I hate piles of paper -- the removable drive was welcome.My husband & I have purchased Kia products from two other dealerships within the state. If we continue to purchase Kias in the future this is the only dealership we will consider for those purchases.
Ro was a great salesmen, very knowledgeable, good communicator, easy to talk to. Taylor did a very good job explaining all the new tech features in our new K5.
My 2019 Kia Soul Turbo has been back for problems four or five times. Each time the dealership had my vehicle for several days/a week/now weeks. Their certified mechanics cannot seem to solve the problem. I have currently had a K5 for over a month and I look to have it for another month. Seems the last diagnosis was a faulty engine SO they are rebuilding the engine or replacing it with a new one. My Soul has only 8,000+ thousand miles on it and I am the only driver and I do not travel. In the meantime I am waiting and HOPE that the matter is resolved or I shall seek the advice of an attorney as far as S.C. Lemon Laws.
DO NOT TRUST THE SALES TEAM HERE! One of the sketchiest places to buy a car. We got lucky, but dont plan on being lucky here. Im going to list off a few lies we were told while we were here.1- Our salesman talked up the whole time how the dealership does a safety inspection of all the vehicles to make sure they are safe to drive.Our car had no brake lights. Its a cheap fix so I wasnt too worried, but the reason I bring it up is because while you are signing paperwork you have to sign a form saying that you know that they never performed a safety inspection. When I asked about this the salesman said: Oh that shouldnt say that. He then wouldnt go to get it changed. This means he was either lying or the dealership does not take the time to educate their employees on the policies.2- We were told the gps that was put in our car was a one time $500 fee. We downloaded the app and the company that services the gps said they had no idea what we were talking about because their cheapest ANNUAL plan is somewhere around a couple hundred dollars.... that we have to pay through the dealership. I texted our salesman and he said Oh yeah, I guess there is one. This means he was either lying or the dealership does not take the time to educate their employees on the policies.3- They refused to fix or check things. During our test drive the low tire pressure light came on and we asked if they could have that checked before we bought the car. We gave them time to fix it, they said they did and the light came on literally 2 miles down the road. We took it to a different tire place and it was an easy $20 fix. This means they were either lying or dont know how to fix cars.I am putting this as a 2 star review because this dealership did the bare minimum in staying honest where they were legally obligated to. Please, please, please shop around a lot more before you have to come here. I understand that the used car market is tough right now, but please take the time to reconsider.

AWFUL AWFUL so disappointed in their LACK OF services and treatment of me as a person. It’s obvious to me the same energy I receive in the sales process is opposite in the service. My 2019 vehicle with roughly 40 something miles on it feel to start. That was almost a week ago and they still have my vehicle. The only proactive communication I received from JT Kia service department was a text message I can’t even express how I’m feeling. I’ve called them and I do believe a minimum of six times since Wednesday. I am so disappointed in them . This is my first time having a Kia always with Ford over my 30+ years of having vehicles I’ve always had a Ford I don’t know why I’m blaming myself for this decision when I know the treatment I’m receiving from JT Kia in Columbia South Carolina has nothing to do with me is them. I’m sitting here on a Friday evening no car they are not open on the weekends the service department they have not reached out to me today and they’re not open tomorrow nor Sunday and I have a warranty like I said earlier I am so disappointed in how they are treating me in the services that they’re not providing me and my decision to go against what I’ve always done with by Ford I’ll be calling a friend for transportation this is my experience with JT Kia of Columbia South Carolina awful.
This would have been a 5 star review if not for one hiccup. Ron was super nice, knowledgeable and did not pressure you to buy. The financing was a breeze. Only snafu is I still dont have the car I bought yesterday. Guess I have to make another 20+ mile trip in rush hour traffic today to get the car. Well if its ready.

So my wife and I just looking to browse around at souls. We got a Mr Deon I believe and he was the most laid back and professional salesmen Ive ever talked with. He didnt push anything and was there when we needed him but wasnt over bearing at all. Will definitely send people this way to look at cars.
Sales experience was great, Bobby G was awesome. Car is great (mostly). The warranty thats supposed to cover everything doesnt cover everything. Id still recommend them, but do your homework on financing, and warranties.Update nearly a year later: The warranty continues to disappoint. Wont cover a defect, and now JTs is giving me the runaround on cancelling the contract. Buyer beware on those for sure.Update: JTs is taking care of it. Im very grateful, but boy has this been a process.
I purchased the maintenance plan for my 2019 Kia. I was able to have it serviced 2 times at the dealership and now they claim they are booked up two months in advance. I now have to go elsewhere to get my oil change even though I already paid for it through Kia. My warning to anyone that is buying a Kia. DO NOT BUY THE MAINTENANCE PLAN. You are wasting your money.
I would not recommend buying here or using their service department. We bought a 2021 Seltos and after 6000 miles, had engine trouble. We had the car towed there and were informed that it would be at least a week before they could look at it. We rented a car in the meantime and were told that we would be reimbursed FOR THE FULL AMOUNT. After a week, we received a call about the issue and the part was ordered, and were told we would have the car back in a couple of days. A week later, they told us the part wasnt in on time, so again we waited. After 18 days, we got the car back. We submitted our rental receipt to 3 separate people at JTs and spoke to them no less than 10 times. We were expecting a check for the full amount of the rental, as we were promised by the service manager, and yesterday I received a check for $789 of a $2083 rental. This is unacceptable to pay almost $1300 out of pocket for a rental when we just bought a brand new car. Customer service here is a joke and expect a runaround if you have issues with your car.

I posted this same review on yesterday and as suspected, I felt that they were going to take it down therefore, Im posting it again.......The general manager replied with a general message instructing me to call him if I have any further things that I would like to discuss. Well, I replied and left him my phone number. Well see if he calls.One of the worst experiences ever and Im sure theyll eventually take down my review. Two days ago, I went to JT Kia of Killian Road. My fiancée was pre-approved from her credit union for 20,500. The vehicle that she wanted was a 2019 Kia Optima that their website listed as a lock-in price for 20,408. Upon arriving on the lot and meeting a salesman, We explained to him about the credit unions approval and am ready to purchase the vehicle thats listed on their website. The salesman insisted on trying to get her financed through their company for a better deal. After numerous attempts we finally said yes. Long story short the salesman returned stating that its gonna be an extra $2,700 out of pocket expense to drive the car off the lot. To make matters worse, when we inquired about a less expensive car that he originally said was an option, he changed his mind and said oh, we cant sell that car again, something is wrong with it. The salesman and finance officer lied more than once in an attempt to extract more money from my fiancée. Needless to say we left the car lot and we actually went next door to the Honda dealer who happened to have the same exact car, complete with warranty. The salesman and finance officer was very professional and we drove away within two hours with a nice, fully loaded warranty 2019 Kia Optima. She was financed within her credit union approved limit without hassle. Way to go Honda. I would NEVER recommend JT Kia of Killian Road to anyone.
My experience at JTs Kia was more than just a auto sales transaction. I truly think God sent me to that location and to my salesman, Ro, purposefully. I left with the car I came seeking and some life changing conversations. Working with Ro was a pleasure. He LISTENED and delivered. And, the Sales Manager I spoke with...another divine connection. I normally go to CarMax because I do not like the back and forth process at dealerships, but Im glad I gave JTs Kia a chance. Super Satisfied Customer!

Recently the engine seized up in my 2015 Kia Sportage and I had it towed to JTs Kia of Columbia for repair. Apparently it is a common issue because it was fixed at no charge to me under some campaign they have. Cool. After they had my car for 3 weeks. I got it back and some of the components werent working properly (door lock/fob and heated seat issues). These things were working perfectly when my car died. At my appointment today they told me that they did not touch these parts to replace my engine. I dont expect that they did, but when my engine seized it shorted the starter and it seems like a couple of other things as well. Of course they want $700+ dollars to fix it in addition to the $147 Diagnostic fee I had to pay. Ridiculous. Will not go back here again!!! And I spoke with the Service Manager Justin while I was there. He was no help at all!!!
Purchased a car for my wife and the experience was great. So great I went back to get me a truck but unfortunately lonie was no longer working there and the service I got was just terrible. It took 3.5 weeks to get in for a tire balance, then with an appointment it took 4.5 hours to balance 4 tires. Was supposed to get a key fob for my truck since the original one was busted but to my surprise they forgot to call the key guy. After promises to fix the issue here I am over a month later no key fob and no response from the seller. Service has truly gone down the drain and for the amount of money spent on cars Id encourage others to shop elsewhere.

Would give absolutely Zero stars if I could, I made an appointment at 9am to test drive a used 2016 TOYOTA SEQUOIA at 3:00pm the same day, when arrived I checked in and the salesman was very friendly but once sitting down he said ”I’ll be right back” but didn’t return for over 10 minutes and didn’t let me know where he was going. When he came back, he said “I’ve got to go put gas in it.” At this point I decided to not test drive the car as I had my mom and newborn in the car and had notified him of this when sitting down 15 minutes prior (and made this known when making the appointment) at this point so time was very sensitive (which you would think making the appointment helped with convenience, it did not what so ever). Once speaking to a manager to let him know they set the salesman up for failure as well as the customer, he said “Well he was gone at first because the car was DEAD and HAD TO BE JUMPED OFF.” I wish I was making this up, I made special arrangements to bring an extra family member to the appointment and have a baby sitter for my oldest child - I took more into consideration than the dealership clearly. When there are 8 car salesman inside and outside standing around talking, yet the manager tries to make multiple excuses for the pitiful customer service and why the car wasn’t ready (you would think with an appointment the car was parked at the front and waiting on the customer, that’s appropriate customer service and sales technique) - clearly the appointment is as useless as their customer service. If they can’t take basic care of a car then why would I trust purchasing a vehicle from them? This was an absolute disappointment, if I was managing or the owner of this dealership I would be absolutely embarrassed. I would think twice before purchasing from this place clearly car care and customer service aren’t their priority.

I recently received some maintenance work on my Optima. KIA failed to replace the oil back in my car after changing the oil. My engine was damaged as a result. The supervisor of the maintenance department tried to put the blame on me. After going back and forth for about a week, they finally started trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. They kept my car for two months. When I picked up my car from the dealership it was dirty. Pollen was on the seats, front and back. They didnt vacuum it out. When I told the service guy I wasnt satisfied,he said he would take it to get cleaned up. When I returned after 30 minutes, the car was in the same condition. I told the guy that this was unacceptable and he just said he was sorry, but didnt try to fix the problem. KIA was all about excellent customer when I first bought my car, now it seems good customer service doesnt matter anymore.
Worst place Ive ever been to buy a car. Their ad on the radio talks about $4,000 over book value and thats a flat out lie. Will never go back there. I thought they were reputable people. What a joke!!!! Buyer BEWARE!
First of all I would like to thank Montrel for helping me pick out the right car for me. He needs to be recognized for his great work and great customer service skills!!! My car is a 2021 Kia k5. When I got it, I noticed some scratches in the front of the car. So my father took it back up their because I had to work that day and told them what was wrong with it. So they proceeded to paint the front of the car and when we got it back.. one side was smooth and the other was rough!! We told them about it and still was the same thing. They said its nothing else they could do. Yes it is... yall could at least buff it out so that it can be smooth again. I mean we all work hard for our money and I just want it done right!! They gave my dad the run around and thats not fair. All we wanted is for my car to be fixed the right way. So,when you read this which I sure you will.. I just want my car to be fixed. And show some respect to us and your customers and just dont say we cant help you... which I know you can. Just take the time and EFFORT to do yall jobs right!!! 2021 KIA SOUL:Lots of issues with my purchase. Where do I start. First the sales rep didn’t tell me the full details about the car, when I asked several times how much was the car, it was oh when he draws up the paperwork we will know. Lied to me and said there were no preowned vehicles on the lot, told me features were on the car and they actually weren’t, car had a bad cigarette or cigar odor in it, seats had stains in the back and the front seat, which after looking at the seats were never was taken care of. Now the charging station isn’t working. Friggn great!! Brand new car and already issues. Manager tried to do something about it but together we couldn’t come up with what KIA could do to get things right. 🤦🏽♀️ The worst experience. I loved my last Kia and thought I would have a great experience like the last time. WRONG..
I wouldnt recommend anyone to have their car serviced here. My car has been back and forth between JT Kia and Midlands Honda since June 19, 2021. Not until June 25, 2021 is when someone finally informed me where my was actually located. Now 4 days (July 8, 2021) ago I was just told that all the part were in and my service advisor had quit. Now today (July 12, 2021) Im being told that theyre still waiting on parts to come in. Ive already lost a good job at Sterilite due to transportation issues and the level of professionalism I expected in a timely fashion is NOT what Im receiving. It would have been nice to have heard, Mr. Briggs, I understand your frustration but heres a loaner car in the meantime to help you in your time of need. This Cinderella story of getting my hopes up to be disappointed again week by week leaves a sour taste in my mouth as a patron.

My Car is having issues & the dealership doesn’t have any Appointments until the end of July, they literally have NO LOANER vehicles, and they no longer partner with Enterprise. So what do I have to do???Drop my car off, wait until they can even LOOK at it which can take between 2-3 weeks, then wait for whatever parts to come in, and then wait for them to fix it. Oh and they don’t even know how long it will take to get parts in due to All of the Recalls they have. So I have to purchase a rental car every day at MY EXPENSE that I’m without my car, which I don’t even have the funds for and oh yea I may not even be reimbursed for it depending upon what’s wrong with my vehicle. The service department reps are rude, show no compassion, and have ZERO customer service skills.THIS IS JUST PERFECT 🙃I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE from JTS KIA❗️
I am very pleased by the service on my truck. The team there did an awesome job listening to my concerns and instead of disgarding them, they made it their personal business to see that I was satisfied with the ending result. I am absolutely enjoying my truck with NO problems. Thank you all from the GM to the maintenance crew!!!

Went there with a family member to see the BEST salesman, Bobby Gee. She already had a particular vehicle picked out and Bobby immediately verified that it was still available and got it for us to test drive. Before leaving the lot he took his time to explain the benefits and features of the vehicle. Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend you go see Bobby Gee!!!!
Got a used Kia, process was fast and easy. A.J was our sales man and was very polite and helpful. Showed us around a few different cars till we found the one in our price range that we liked. Will definitely buy from again and highly recommend. They go out of there way to help you get a car. I Know its there job but its nice to work with people who actually seem to enjoy what they do. I took my kia to the service department to get a tire replaced. Jim said it will take 2 hours. After 2 hours, I come for the car and it was never been serviced. Jim said they dont have the tire. My wife called and he was very unprofessional with her.I am happy to say that kia wants to resolve the experience i had. 5 star
My sales person was wonderful but I just bought a car and I’ve already had to take it to the Kia dealership for work on it and to a different car place for them to work on it, ended up spending 800 dollars in repairs.. very disappointed in the car they gave me, nothing should have been wrong with my car
They use all the tricks of used car sales. They didnt bring me the prices but brought me payments which included an extended warranty and gap insurance which we hadnt discussed.The good side was the service : everything is very high tech and streamlined down to the paperwork on a touch screen desk.The service department is also very efficient, I discovered a problem after I bought the car and they fixed it, no charge.

Service department is the worst I have a recall on my car that if I park in the garage my house and car will catch on fire but they cant see my car until August 19th and today is July 20th Jt thats sad and the worst customer service I just want the recall done thats it.
After I complete my oil consumption test with JT’s KIA, this will be my last time going there. My car is still under warranty. I had an oil consumption test done in October that was marked as invalid and never received a follow up. It’s now April and they are charging me 400 dollars to have the same test done as last year that was free. The manager stated KIA can charge what they want and the policy for oil consumption tests changed last month and there is nothing he or I can do about it. When I had complications with my AC, I had to bring my car to the dealership on three separate occasions to even have them properly diagnosis my car without them telling me it’s fine. Lastly after getting brand new tires and an alignment done, on my next visit the service associate recommended I get another alignment when it was just done at the previous visit. Meaning they are recommending costly repairs without checking the customers files. I feel the service department has quick fix solutions and they don’t take care of their customers. If I could rate a zero I would have.
We had a wonderful car buying experience with Ryan Miller. He truly saved the day after a not so great experience the night before. Ryan was an amazing host, and very knowledgeable. He was able to put us in the exact vehicle we were looking for because he LISTENED to the criteria we were searching for. The whole process was fast and easy, he explained everything so we could understand the total out the door cost. Ryan gave us all the options and let us choose what what was best for us. He never pushed us to make a decision and gave us good advice. After the sale was complete, Mr. Miller fully explained in great detail all of the functions and features and helped set up our phones. My car has been at their dealership for a week. I was told they were backed up on work when I got it to them and that was fine. Every time I tried calling to ask about the car, I was put on hold, which is fine. The automated message would say, You are third in line, your wait time is five minutes, then you are 2nd in line, your wait time is three minutes, then you are first in line, your wait time is one minute, then I would be kicked out to the main menu and have to press 2 for the service option again and would be placed in the back of the queue. I was on the line for over 30 minutes every time I tried to call because that kept happening, and one day for almost an hour: I stayed on hold and waited while I had students in my classroom...One time when I called, they picked up the phone in their service department and they put the phone down, not on hold. I could hear all of their conversations and they refused to pick up the phone. I was told Thursday I would get a loaner car, but I would have to wait for one to come in from a previous customer and that I was first in line. By this time I was already extremely perturbed because I spent my entire planning period on hold every day for the whole week. When I called Friday, I was told I was fourth in line. It is now a week later and I still do not have a loaner car and have not received a message or phone call from them. Very disappointed that their customer service is subpar to that of even fast food restaurants. I will never buy a car at this dealership again and will tell everyone I know not to. I guess one star is the lowest I can give them.
Brought my son into look at a car. Super low pressure. My son was not comfortable with a payment and didnt buy. Salesman thanked us for coming and took the car back. Very nice.
