I had a dress that needed to be expanded, and I called around to a couple of places and took my dress to a couple of shops to see about getting it altered and the ones I went to said they could not help me. I was about to give up on it.. Well I called them, and they told me to come in, and she figured out a solution to fix the dress. I was very pleased with the alterations to dress, and wore it with no problems!! Excellent customer service, and would recommend.

Ive had the good fortune to have Ms.Juanita, (and now Michelle) to help fit my costumes,outfits, formals bridesmaids and wedding gown over a lifetime. Nobody does it better- and I would recommend traveling from all corners of South Carolina to have Juanita work her artistry for you. A good fitting dress makes all the difference in the world!

I was a little skeptical about going to juanitas because no one I knew had ever brought something to them. But they were the best! My bridesmaids dress definitely needed some work. The chest was HUGE and the hips were too tight. She fixed everything and had it ready in a week and it was $55. Will definitely be going back if I ever need alterations again!

Juanitas Designs is a miracle worker. I had to take my bridesmaid dress to her to fix somebody elses mistake. She was able to fix it and hem the rest of the dress as it needed to be and it looked great! You couldnt even tell! She was also able to do it in 3 business days and for $20. Definitely my new go-to seamstress!

I trusted Juanita to alter my wedding dress after a wonderful experience working with her 10 years ago at her previous location. This experience wasn’t the same. The hem was not done the way she promised. When I returned to pick up the dress, it still had safety pins in it. The lady in the back who does the alterations after Juanita pins it did not notice them, and Juanita yelled her name to bring it to her attention. Awkward! I ended up taking my dress elsewhere to have it finished and fixed. I noticed the tulle looked dirty and Juanita said “the fuzz really clings to your dress’s material.” If you are looking for wedding dress alterations, save yourself the frustration and stress and go elsewhere.

Juanita is AMAZING at what she does! She truly has a gift and she is an absolute delight to work with. My original seamstress bailed on me last minute because my dress was extremely complicated and she was too busy with other dresses, so I took it to another seamstress who also said it was difficult and shouldve been purchased by someone who needed minimal adjustments. When I found Juanita, she said my dress wasnt a problem at all and have no issues with getting it done in THREE weeks. Mind you, I need it to be hemmed, the straps shortened, the waist brought in, the armpits to be cut out so they wouldnt cut into me, the beading fixed, cups put in, extra material (netting) removed from the back, AND a bustle ...Oh, and she was working on other dresses besides mine, of course! I never leave full reviews like this, but Juanita is top notch and I would recommend her to anyone. I will absolutely be back when I need anything altered!!!

Juanita took a sample gown that I bought from a boutique and transformed it into the dress of my dreams for my wedding day. She made the impossible possible when it came to my vision and the way the dress was originally made. Price wise, the alterations were not the least expensive... But you get what you pay for, and this was not a purchase I was willing to cut costs on. I am taking her two bridesmaids dresses today for weddings that Im in this year. She definitely has a repeat customer! :)

Was way more expensive than I thought it would be. I was on a tight budget and went in for a quote. Next thing I know Im paying for hemming, $250, then I went back for my fitting and we had to decide on a bussle for my gown, $225 more. Also the bussle isnt exactly what I was wanting. My mom is a seamstress and she couldve done all that work. At the time she just didnt feel comfortable doing it.
