I absolutely have loved my experience with NY B&G! From Candace who helped me find my dress to Julie who helped me see how beautiful I could be in the dress!!! They were so great!!! Julie talked me down off the ledge so many times and really guided me to telling them what I needed fixed with my dress. I have told everyone I know getting married to go there for their dress!!! I visited New York Bride and Groom of Columbia this past week and the experience was WONDERFUL! They have a large selection of gowns and an amazing staff. Mariah assisted us every step of the way and I’d highly recommend that you ask for her when you come. She made note of things I liked and disliked, brought dresses in the room that I liked and missed while browsing and gave some great advice. Ultimately I ended up purchasing the first dress I tried on (after countless others). Although I was sad the experience ended so quickly for me (only one day and one store of searching for the perfect gown) the staff made everything so easy and I was happy to go home with the perfect gown for me!

Wow! 😊🤩 I was greeted by Mariah as soon as I entered the door. I was so excited to try on dresses. Mariah pulled some dresses for me and we got started. I found the dress…later on that evening, I brought my mother back with me to New York Bride and Groom of Columbia and I said Yes to the Dress and hit the gong!!! 😍🥰👰🏾

Such a lovely experience at New York Bride and Groom. We were immediately greeted at the door and escorted to a private room for myself and my three guests. My bridal consult, Anna, was amazing. She was supportive through every dress that was pulled, tried on, and tried on again, until I found the one! She asked questions about what I liked and what I didn’t like in order to pull dresses that perfectly fit my style. The dress I said yes to was actually one that Anna pulled for me herself! Absolutely loved this place. Took my sister here to get her wedding dress. First off, everyone is very friendly and not overly invasive. The helped with all our questions and helped pinpoint just the right dress for her. I love the personal dressing rooms with space for your little party to be in. A much better feeling then what you get at Davids Bridal by far. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a wedding dress. Bonus: their prices and very reasonable.

Candace did an excellent job helping me pick out my dress. Im so happy I found the one. Everyone made me feel special and important. They helped me select dresses based off of my style I was going for. They also had such a great selection of dresses.

Let me just say this… when I read the reviews and had doubts I found out quickly they were all true. I came in here with less than 60 days until my wedding and found the perfect dress with the help of all the wonderful ladies working here. And under my budget at that!! These ladies worked so hard to help me find that one special dress. Of course, the last dress that was brought in didn’t have sleeves and I was dead set on the sleeves. But when I say I put this dress on and it was made for me. I’m so excited and now less stressed that I found my dress. Minimum alterations needed and if fit me perfectly, naturally, I said yes to the dress. Thank you all for helping me find that one special dress in less than an hour!!!!!

The bridal shop and the ladies who work here are the BEST! I had such a wonderful experience today with shopping here! I had been very stressed out about finding “the” dress and Megan made it such a calm experience. Megan was very welcoming and extremely helpful. She asked me what I thought about each dress and genuinely cared about my thoughts and listened to every critique or concern I had about the dresses. Megan stayed within my budget and didn’t try to show me a dress that was out of my budget. The dress that I ended up purchasing was picked out by Megan. She truly made my experience incredible and I would whole heartedly recommend this place to any bride looking for “the” dress! I had a WONDERFUL experience! I was quite disappointed with Davids Bridal so we came here without an appointment and they immediately welcomed us in! The bridal suites and the store are clean and spacious. ANNA was incredibly sweet and attentive, she understood exactly what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect dress. She brought in belts and veils for me to try and overall was just wonderful at her job. I said YES to the dress and am so excited we decided to go there impromptu. I highly recommend this place!!

My visit to NYB&G was a pleasant and fulfilling experience. First you go through the racks yourself and find the different shapes and styles you want to try, I made sure to include even shapes I wasn’t thinking of buying originally. All the dresses were absolutely gorgeous, which did not make my decision any easier! It was definitely a good decision to try on both white and off white dresses to see the difference. I landed on a champagne and ivory dress and I absolutely love it! I am so excited to have my fittings and get to wear it again!

I cant say enough Praise about these group of ladies! My entire experience has been Amazing from beginning to end. Ms. Julie and her team really care about their brides. I first came to New York Bride and Groom in January and found my Perfect dress. Fast forward to a month later I flew back home and found out my fiance and I were expecting. From my switching dresses to my absolute last minute (literally *one week* from my wedding day) panic about sizing they were unbelievably helpful and made SURE to get it altered and perfect on time!! I found my dream dress for a great price! That being said, my customer service could not have been worse.My bridal consultant was absolutely terrible. She did not help me get in or out of a single dress, thank goodness I brought my maid of honor to help me. My bridal consultant would disappear for long periods of time, so my maid of honor also had to start clipping me into each dress. My bridal consultant kept bringing terrible dresses, not listening to what I wanted, and then when I told her I didn’t like the dresses she brought she would respond with “but WHY?” and would defensively insist I tried them on anyways, even though I was sure I didn’t like them. When I asked her to fan the train behind my dresses so that I could see the back, she couldn’t figure out what I was asking for- my maid of honor eventually just took over that part too.If you are looking for a “say yes to the dress” experience, where your bridal consultant helps pick out dresses, helps you get in and out of them, brings you out to the pedestal to show your friends and family- this is NOT the salon for you.We wanted to go out to lunch after finding my dress, and I didn’t want to leave the dress in the car in downtown Columbia. I asked if I could leave the dress on hold, and come back to purchase it later in the evening (my dress was an off the rack, “as-is” purchase). The associate said “yes, we close today at 7”I came back at 5:30, turns out they closed at 5. I came back AGAIN the next morning, and explained what had happened. They had already put my dress back on the rack, and not a single person apologized for the misinformation.

This place is fantastic! Everyone was super nice & helpful. Madeline was very attentive to my needs. After I tried on a few dresses, she brought back this gorgeous gown without any prompting and it turns out that it was the ONE!!! Julie checked me out at the counter and took my measurements and was so pleasant throughout the whole process! I was highly impressed by everything and everyone in this store! I highly recommend!!!

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with in weddings. We got nothing but attitude from person who orders the dresses from the start. We didn’t have the money for the deposit right then and didn’t expect our daughter to pick one at the first store we go to. We told then we’ll be in with a deposit in a couple weeks then the lady used Covid as an excuse to get it right then and said it would take six months to come in. So we were stressed and worried of losing the dress. We finally put the deposit on it and all of a sudden the dress comes in within 2 weeks. So we call to make a payment on it and said we’ll pay it off next month when our daughter is here so she can pick it up. But that’s not good enough they want all money right then and there and have attitudes when you talk to them. We expected 6 months from what we were told and were lied to the whole time. Very disrespectful and made my daughters dress experience hell. All other wedding shops work with you and put the bride first not this one.

Just finished business with this store. My new wife and I went here because this is where she got her wedding dress. She enjoyed her experience so much that she took me there and I purchased a tux. Of course my guys were only interested in rentals so we(she) picked out a great look for them and we all looked good enough to be in a magazine. I had the most wonderful experience at NY bride and groom in Columbia yesterday!!! My mom and I had never gone dress shopping before, but two of my friends both found their dresses here and highly recommended it to me. You can prepare for your appointment by looking through the various designers they carry on their website (SO many beautiful options!). The store is extremely organized and open with spacious dressing rooms. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and assigned a stylist, Mariah who was amazing, and you learn about how their racks are sorted. With the help of Mariah, we were able to pick out 7 or 8 beautiful dresses to try on. Within two hours, we found THE dress for my wedding next year. We had a great time all around and are so thankful we went here.

My sister purchased her dress from New York Bride and Groom. The service was beyond impeccable. Due to a surprise pregnancy, we had to have more alterations than originally expected. Each thing we asked was handled and even things we didnt expect were anticipated and addressed without hesitation. She finally felt like a bride and you could see it in her smile. We couldnt have found the dress without Megan. She was so knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. The manager, Julie, (hope I have her name correct) was also involved with the customers and offered here expertise and help, if needed. She was also willing to tweak even the perfect dress to personalize it even more. They certainly go above and beyond at NYB&G. When it was time to purchase and order the dress, my daughter was measured by two different consultants for accuracy. The check out consultant, who was also great, gave my daughter a dress to try by the same designer, similar in style to our pick, in the size my daughter measured. They wanted to make sure my daughter was comfortable in that size dress. Their goal was to get the most comfortable fit with the least amount of alterations, which we appreciated very much. The attention we got made us feel like we were the only customers in the store, but we werent! It was a Saturday and they were busy and they were extending the same degree of attentiveness to all the customers. That is the way to run a business. An involved manager, a well trained, polite staff that knows their products and understands what true customer service is. So, thank you Megan, Julie, and all the others at NYB&G of Columbia who made shopping for a bridal gown such a fun and non stressful experience! Blessings to all of you!

Y’all, I walked in, was greeted so nicely by two women who helped me tremendously. I wasn’t expecting to buy my dress when I did but everything fit into place sooo perfectly. Mrs. Joann was the lady who helped me fit into every dress. I had a bad experience the night before ordering a dress (don’t order a wedding dress from China!) and she made me feel absolutely beautiful in every gown I tried on. They let me shop on my own thoughts of what I wanted which was GREAT... The dress I bought was the first one I tried on and I was in shock and felt beautiful, but Mrs. Joann insured I should try on other dresses to make sure the first one was it. After trying on more I put the first one back on and Mrs. Joann dolled me up and made me a bride and I was tearing up! That’s exactly how I wanted to feel in a wedding dress and they made me feel that and more!! The dress shop itself is absolutely beautiful and big! They have a lot of sample dresses too which is where I picked my dress from at such an affordable price!!! I am thrilled and I loved this place so much. Highly recommend it.

This place was FANTASTIC. As a bride who was shopping after a not so great experience, I had the best time. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by an employee and they explain everything to you along the way. You really feel special and like you have a whole team of people who care and are trying to make your special day perfect. I dont write a lot of reviews but these guys deserve it. When you get engaged and start shopping for dresses everyone tells you to make the drive to Greenville or Charleston to shop. There’s an array of options at every price range and size. All the staff is super sweet and helpful, and my bridal attendant Melody was wonderful! I am so in love with my dress (which is a house designer only carried by NY Bride and Groom, how cool!) and cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day.

Absolutely LOVED my experience at New York Bride & Groom. I found the perfect dress! I said yes to the dress. It was honestly thanks go McKayla. She took note of the type of dress that I loved and found the dress that I ended up saying yes to. Each employee were so nice and kind and truly assisted all of the brides. Loved the layout of the place and would definitely recommend to any of my friends!

This place was amazing! I loved the fact that they had individual bridal suites for privacy. Everyone was super helpful and answered all the questions I had. Julie and chrissy were really amazing too! They helped me until I said yes to my dress.

Everyone was so great throughout my whole visit! I came in looking to try on a few things and walked out with a dress and all accessories ordered. My stylist was very attentive to my likes and dislikes and found me the dress that I needed rather than the dress I had thought that I wanted. I had an amazing experience today. I didn’t think I was going to find anything I got frustrated and didn’t want to try anything else on. They were so patient with me. We tried on over 15dresses I think. When we couldn’t find me anything all the staff came together trying to help me find something. We were pulling dresses left and right lol. I really had a great experience looking for my wedding dress. I found a lot of dresses that I loved and Andis stylist there for able to find a dress that combined the three dresses that I love the most. That was the best that I got. They have hundreds of dresses I did not have to go through all of the dresses the staff was very knowledgeable and what they have in the store and brought dresses to me that was close to my style of choice. I wasnt sure if I would find the dress that day. But I did. I recommend New York bride and groom in Columbia South Carolina anyone looking for a wedding dress. I have not been to the grooms side yet but Im looking forward to it coming up if its anything like the bridal section I know Im in great hands.

My first trip into NYB&G, I met with Moriah. She was so sweet and patient. She helped me try on a few dresses before I brought my mom, sister and BFF. I didn’t want to be overwhelmed looking with others and had no idea what I was looking for. She brought options in for me to see in small bunches so the room wasn’t overflowing with dresses. It was a great experience!! I came back about two weeks later and worked with Candace. Even though it seemed to be quite busy on a Saturday afternoon, she did a great job popping back in and offering delivery/order advice and sharing her knowledge of the intended fits, despite the sizing. The store has a large variety of sizes and price points. I am happy to say, I bought off the rack and didn’t have to pay any rush shipping fee! I’m looking forward to feeing my best, in a beautiful dress, on my special day! Thanks a million Moriah and Candace!! 💗👰🏻‍♀️ I highly recommend NYB&G for your special day too!!

My experience here was absolutely AMAZING!! When I walked into the store they were so welcoming and the store was immaculate. Lauren was my consultant that day and so was incredible. This place was incredible. As a first time bride going dress shopping for the first time, walking into the store was a magical experience. Their store is clean and welcoming. We were immediately greeted with smiles. They have generous dressing rooms where we were able to spend most of the four hours we were there. Our consultant was incredible. She was patient, kind, understanding, and answered my fashionista sisters million questions. She handled all of our concerns and helped us find the perfect dress for my big day. She was incredibly accommodating and I could tell she truly wanted me to find something I was thrilled with and I did. The experience at New York Bride and Groom was absolutely fantastic. They were able to offer excellent assistance. Julie was amazing with showing how some simple alterations would transform my dress into a show stopping piece. So much enthusiasm from all of the staff. I wanted to leave a review so all future Brides know to call and book there appointment with Kandice Zayes. I had the experience of attending an appointment with my dearest friend recently and she was paired with Kandice and to say we are thankful is an understatement . Not only was Kandice knowledgeable about all the gowns my friend was trying on,she was completely honest and very genuine. By the time we left the appointment I felt like Kandice was one of our girlfriends and she could come out with us and we would have a blast. My girlfriend was very nervous trying on gowns but Kandice set her mind at ease and we are very blessed for that. Make sure you request her at your appointment you won’t regret it !
