Outstanding service. I was just walk in with my own eye exam, stopped by to check their frames. Ladies was very welcoming and helpful, took their time - worked out with all my numbers - insurance and I was in and out 30 min with 2 glasses. Thank you so much

Scheduled 2 appointments for eye exams. Received confirmation texts the morning of. Showed up at the appointed time and were told they ‘called’ to reschedule 30 minutes ago. Absolutely could not squeeze us in. Not even apologetic. Very poor service. Go anywhere else.

Alert!! IF YOU GLASSES DON’T FIT, ASK FOR REFUND DIRECTLY! *Their 30 days refund starts from the day YOU ORDERED not the day you get your glasses!* I came 4.27, 2021 for eye exam and picked up a frame. I understand their $59 thing was a scam but it ended up with $400+! Fine if I can get a good pair of glasses. Got notified they were ready 5.14. I came that day, found the frame was too tight and they couldn’t adjust. They let me picked a new frame, which was good. Then I got notified again 5.27. They ordered the wrong lens. They didn’t use hi-index for -5.00. She said she would re-do it. Then it brings to 6.5. I came here again. The glasses made me nauseous. The lady told me to wear them for longer. So I almost fell off stairs. I came back, asking for refund. She said she couldn’t that only a manager can do. And she asked to change the focal point and change some coating. So today 6.8 I am here talking to their manager. I told her the new glasses make me dizzy and I wanted to throw up. She said I didn’t adjust for long enough, although I told her I couldn’t wear for more than 10 seconds. I asked for refund and she said it’s more than 30 days from ORDERING. I said then I will just keep changing frames and she said I can’t because “re-style” is only allowed once.

Would not recommend. When they call you to confirm and cannot respond because you are working. They cancel your appointment. You find out when you show up at the scheduled time. I have made an appointment at another establishment.Edit: to elaborate since you gave me an 800 to call…I was told by the person at the front desk that you book 3 people for the same time slot. Since I was not able to confirm, they canceled my appointment so one of the others could take the time slot. Talk about poor customer service! I have an appointment somewhere else, and do not need to reschedule.

ALERT!!! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. I BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT AND CONFIRMED IT. THEY SAY THE COMPUTER TRIPLE BOOKED. I ARRIVED ON TIME. STOOD THERE FOR FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE SOMEONE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT I WAS THERE. THEN WAS TOLD I WAS LATE. I SAID NO I WAS HERE ON TIME. I cannot speak on the eye exam or the products they offer, I never made it to my scheduled appointment. I Scheduled an appointment with the scheduling center for 6:10 today. I got a call earlier in the day asking if I could go earlier. Because the doctor would not be in at 6:10. Kind of strange considering they dont close until 7. So I arranged to get off work early on a whem to accommodate them. Crazy huh considering I was the customer. As I was driving to the earlier appointment that I rearranged my schedule for I got another call. The lady asked if I could reschedule due to the doctor having a emergency eye appointment for someone else, and they were running 2 hours behind. Very convenient considering he wouldnt be available at the original appointment time. So I told the lady I would wait the 2 additional hours and she said well he wont see you today we have 4 people in front of you. So I said you are canceling my appointment? Her response was I asked if you could reschedule then had the audacity to say we will give you a discount. A discount will not help the fact that I am having trouble seeing and am now experiencing headaches after looking at a computer all day. I have a very tight schedule and cannot just reschedule for the next available appointment. Maybe this is okay for some people, but if you work and need things scheduled this is not the place to go!

First trip I had no issues, it was pleasant, in and out and everything was fine.Second trip, booked online (super easy), called to confirm my insurance would be accepted and was told I was good to go. Showed up for the appointment early to do paperwork and browse, immediately told my insurance wasn’t accepted.Really disappointed, I liked this place.

Despite being a little slow (it was Memorial Day so I get it), the service was very good. The doctor was personable and answered all my questions. And Christina, who took care of my glasses fitting and adjustments was absolutely lovely. After a few less than perfect optical experiences in Columbia, Ill be pleased to come back to Stanton.

I got an appointment so i expecting for that schedule. But the moment i came to clinic. It says they are fully book. They said they are calling me earlier to inform me. Unfortunately i dont have my phone during that time.Now i cannot understand what is the purpose of setting an apointment with specific time if they still giving the same time to another person. And they will say it is fully book and they cannot accommodate me.

The space is clean and open, I like the selection and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Great covid safety being practiced. I love Geneva, she is the one that helped me today, the store got really busy but she was so calm and professional and managed everything so well. She was so knowledgeable and made sure we got taken care of.

I booked an appt. online, and there were many slots available, which was great. I received a phone call to confirm the day before, along with a text message. I let the young lady know I needed to be out in one hour as I had to be in Columbia for appt. I arrived 10 minutes early to select frames, and then was able to see the Dr. Mahaffey right on time. He was quick but thorough and did an excellent job explaining what he observed about my eye health. I got my prescription and met with Ashley to measure and complete my order for two pairs of glasses. Everyone there was efficient, helpful, friendly and knew what he/she/they were doing. I was given all my paperwork and I learned how to check the status of my order online, which I did this morning. I even got the little nose piece on my old glasses replaced, which was very nice as they were awful. No charge. I was out of there in 50 minutes, which was perfect and made for a leisurely drive into Columbia. I feel I got an excellent value with the glasses as I chose what I liked and put all the extras on the glasses as I wear them every day, all day, so comfort and satisfaction matter a lot to me. My only downer which isnt Stantons fault, is they are not a preferred provider with my State Vision Care Plan. I will probably cancel that plan if nothing is covered with my provider of choice. I have always used the Harbison store for glasses and have always had a great experience.

Had a Wednesday appointment.Showed up after taking a day off work.They cancelled on us.Rescheduled for Saturday.Took another day off work.Called Sat morning to confirm appointment.They had set it for the wrong date.3 calls to corporate. No results. Just offers for a week out and another missed day of work.Thats a family of 6 who wears glasses who is never coming back here.Do NOT recommend if you value your time.

DO NOT go here and DO NOT purchase the vision club at this location. I was told last year and upon reading the information (I read it all before I paid for it) that this years eye exam would be covered under the plan. Nothing online, in the paperwork, nor what they told me said I would have to make a purchase on top of that this year. They are now saying that I MUST purchase contact lenses or glasses in store OR PAY FULL PRICE for my exam this year even though I was told last year and all info online shows that my exam should be covered if I am in the vision club. The manager refuses to work with me at all and customer service on the phone refers to the stores choices. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! They basically stole $50 from me last year. I can either spend another $70+ in store for contacts/glasses when the contacts I got from them last year sucked and I get my glasses from a trusted provider. OR I can pay $90 again for an exam, That $50 from last year did nothing but go into their pockets.To add to this my boyfriends appt was cancelled by this location simply because he wasnt able to pick up the phone to confirm his appt. So make sure if you do go to pick up your phone or theyll cancel you. His appt was cancel as we were driving to the store 20 minutes before the appt time.

Pros:CleanNice doctor/staffCons:-Plan to wait an hour after your scheduled appointment to be seen.-The deals they advertise are not worth it... The one that you pay for eye exam and get two free pairs of glasses-doesnt have much of a selection so you get stuck with glasses you wouldnt typically wear... The deal with buy one frame and get the other free with a free eye exam- also not worth it because you end of having to pay for lenses which are around $275 and what ever frames you choose so you will pay between 350-500...My advice: Look at the glasses you can get with the deal first and make sure you like them. I personally plan to go somewhere else next time...

I had the best experience Ive ever had at the eye doctor yesterday getting contacts for the first time! The Dr. was so encouraging and Geneva sat down with me one on one to help me learn how to put them in. I left feeling overjoyed and am still so happy!! Even though they were overbooked (thats what happens when the store doesnt control their own booking!), the employees were payient, kind,, and attentive.Thank you for such a positive experience! Highly recommend.

I arrived for my 2:50 appointment at 2:37 as my appointment was changed via email to 2:50 by Stanton Optical. The receptionist said they just the last appointment for the day at 2:38. She also said they were triple booked for 2:50 appointment which contradicted everything she said. When I persisted she said the Dr was seeing the last patient (took back at 2:39). This is odd as I was the only person there when I left at 2:50 and there were no more 2:50 appointment patients (remember triple booked) and she took the last patient in that was booked for 2:30 probably. Sorry for rambling but this is no way to treat a patient that had to drive 25 minutes to get there. They had my phone number to call if the needed to cancel. I suggest business may best be handled by a company that honors appointments or cancels in advance with the phone number provided. There goes an hour wasted.

I am 55 years old. I was in retail for over 25 years. Avoid this place like the plague. I just had one of the very worst retail experiences that I have ever had in my life. I set an appointment on Friday for the following Tuesday at 3:30 pm. I even got an email confirmation for the 3:30 appointment. I drove 55 minutes to get to the store in Harbison. I arrived 15 minutes early, as I always do. When I went to check in the little girl behind the desk said that she tried to contact me the day before to tell me that my appointment time was already taken and they would not be able to see me. The phone number that they had for me was a number that I have never heard before. I was very upset, having driven 55 minutes just to come to this appointment. There was no apology. No attempt to rectify the problem. Only a defensive we cant do that type of attitude. I asked her why she couldnt have sent me an email when they discovered that the phone number that they had for me was not my phone. She said, We cant do that. We verify appointments by phone. They have no clue what customer service is and had no interest at all in trying to help me. They offered to schedule another appointment for the following week. This was not only unacceptable, but it was also not possible for me. I told her that I wanted to speak to someone in charge of the store operations. The girl next to her said that she was the manager. As she just stood right there without saying a single word, I ask for her supervisors phone number. She said, I can only give you the number for customer service. After arguing with her for several minutes trying to get her supervisors number with no success, I told them that they would never get a dollar of my money. Still no apology or attempt at customer service. Not even an acknowledgement that they screwed up. I left and called the number they gave me while in the parking lot. It rang and the same little girl that I dealt with in the store answered the phone. I asked again for a supervisors number or a customer service number. She hung up on me. This happened three more times. I will find the supervisors information and I will contact them. However, I am expecting the same type of attitude and lack of customer service from the supervisor as well. I went down the road a block to Sansbury Optical with no appointment. They spoke to the optician and he agreed to see me. I got the exam and ordered my glasses right there. I spent over $300, which I was happy to do because of the excellent service that I received at Sansbury Optical in Harbison. Its sad that a company had this attitude towards customer service and care. I would have never tolerated one of my employees acting like this. For them its all about the numbers. Customer service is not an available option at Stanton Optical. My advice... avoid it like the plague.

If I can give less than one star, trust me I would. Just walked in 15 minutes early for my 530 appointment just to be told that they can’t see me today. The lady lied to me and said she called multiple times and tried to leave a voicemail. my voicemail box is not full as she stated. I had also originally requested a 610 appointment and they changed it twice from 5:50 to 5:30 Without contacting me and asking if that was OK. So bottom line is I left work early for absolutely nothing. They will never get any kind of business from me or my family again. America’s Best here we come!

I went here today excited because it was so easy to book my appointment and the place seemed so affordable because of their promotions. I booked my eye exam a couple of hours ahead of time and was impressed that it was so convenient. That was the only thing I ended up being impressed about. I arrived and checked in, I’ll admit I wasn’t the most prepared because I only had my main insurance card and not my eye insurance card. They said they could look me up based on a social security number and date of birth but weren’t able to do that. I didn’t want to be complicated so I said it was okay and that I’d just do their promotion for 2 frames and an eye exam for $59.95. When I say the exam took less than five minutes I mean it. I then went up front and they told me to pick out my two frames and then come see them. I picked one frame out and asked if I could just get new lenses for my current glasses because I really like the ones I currently own, they’re just a little scratched up and need an update on my prescription. They said that was fine. They rang me up for the one pair of glasses, the exam, and the lense replacement for my current glasses (these glasses were not from them, they were from an eye doctor I went to in Georgia earlier last year). My total came out to over $500. Needless to say I was pretty upset but tried to not let it show. I told them I couldn’t pay that when I was expecting it to be less than $100 because of that promotion even without insurance. I asked how much it would be for contacts and that would be over $300. So I simply asked for the cheapest thing which was to get my lenses replaced on the glasses I own. Not even buying the two year protection, anti glare lenses, or anything. My cost ended up coming out to $141 and I feel like I got nothing done. I looked at my receipt after and it was $95 for an eye glasses exam. Nowhere close to the promotion they were offering. So no, I do not recommend this place at all. That deal was a scam and I’m pretty sad because I have actual bills to pay like rent and would’ve went somewhere else if they were forthcoming about their prices.

Beware of their online scheduling. Especially if done after hours. I scheduled an appointment online after hours only to arrive (after driving an hour and a half) and find out they were booked. I am out of town and lost my glasses. Luckly a competitor was close by and got me right in.

Not really happy at all with stanton. Booked an appointment for 2:50PM. Arrived at 2:20. waited in line almost 30 minutes just to get checked in. Wife and I looked at frames while waiting. The starting at $59.95 is for some REALLY cheap frames. Decent frames start around $120.00. Through listening to other clients I concluded lenses would be around $175.00 PER PAIR and probably more. Went back and sat down to wait at about 3:00 (10 minutes after my appointment already). At about 3:45 I decided an almost 2 hour wait was way too much. You people dont understand that some of us dont have much time for waiting due to work or other factors. After reading other reviews I can now see this is an ongoing problem with Stanton Optical, not only at this location but others in the area as well. I will now be sure to let everyone I know that wears glasses or contacts how horrible Stanton is.Edit: I noticed I got the same generic response from The Owner of Stanton. Looking back over past reviews you would think something would have been done about this BS long before now.

First, I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 5 years or so and this is the first year I was so frustrated that I gave a negative review...Please continue reading because with that being said, I am here to revise it for the following reasons. Throughout the situation I went through, there was a little confusion. I had an issue or two but reaching out to customer service was an utter waste of time and a joke..!!HOWEVER!! The store personnel guided by immaculate management reached out to me personally to take care of my vision and personal needs regarding the numerous issues that they were unaware of.And this is the reason I will have NO problem being a return customer. Corey and her team are there to help, listen, and understand your needs/concerns.She explained to me the situation, took care of my worries,, and went completely out of their way to make sure I was a valued customer and not just another number in line. She personally vowed to show upper management and corporate these issues that I endured alongside many others to help better the Stanton Optical experience.My experience went from a 1 - Star never returning customer to a 5 - Star that will always be back and trust them with my vision needs.A sincere thank you Corey to you, your team, and I look to see you all next year as always!

I went into Stanton Optical for help with an emergency eye issue that occurred during a weekend. The care, patience and attention to detail I received from Dr. McTague hands down makes this location my preferred place for eye care (and that’s with an hour drive). One of the little comforts in life is finding a care or service provider you know you can trust, whether it’s for your car, your hair, or, in this case, your vision and eye health. I would highly recommend Dr. McTague to anyone - you’ll receive an utmost and genuine level of communication and care. You’ll also instantly see that you’ve found an eye care provider you know you can always trust.

Made an appointment a week ahead. Then when I came in for my appointment 20 before I was scheduled to be there. They scheduled 3 people at the same time as my appointment. And told me they gave it to someone else. I even told them any time on Friday and then they told me this time. It was a complete waste of my time coming here. Been going here for the past 4 years I booked my appointment like I always do just to show up and get turned around because I didn’t “confirm it” basically I missed the phone call but still showed up 15 mins early for my 5’o clock appointment in HARBISON! Stanton really needs to update their policies because if you read the reviews they all say the same thing. Clearly this is a PROBLEM. Don’t come apologizing to my review just do better! Going to EyeMart. You lost a loyal customer. And the man at the receptionist desk was very rude!

As of right now I give 2 stars. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the young lady that first greeted me I love her artwork, was nice to me and I felt comfortable with her. Otherwise, I made 2 appts one for my son and one 2 hrs later for me. They had my sons appt. I called to confirm mine and it was confirmed but by the time it got there. They couldnt find me anywhere in the system. Where exactly do they dont that at? Evidently Stanton.

I came to Stanton to get new glasses and what I was met with exceeded my expectations. The employees were very helpful and followed strict covid guidelines. I was seen at my appointment time and the process was easy and very timely. One employee Robert C.was beyond helpful in selecting my new glasses. He expertly helped me understand what my insurance would cover and the differences in prices if I used their 2 for $59.99 advertised sale. In addition he was able to help me replace some old frames with new ones and fixed an old nose guard on another pair. I greatly appreciate his kindness and knowledge to help obtain the best new glasses as well as help me with my old ones. I strongly suggest Stanton optical for a quick, painless and satisfying marketplace for all your optical needs.

I called because of construction traffic was told I had a 15 minutes window. I was 5inutes late & was told Id have to wait or see if the next appointment didnt show or is have to reschedule. Upon arriving here I went in and the two women at the front were nice but the optometrist made a smirking remark to one of them about me and as I looked at him he just stared back and then walked into his office. Following that I’m here for a new patient appointment, I had seen the advertisement online where you get the free exam with two pair glasses for $59. Along with that I also looked and seen that they Accepted the insurance that I have. Well when I was there the lady told me she takes neither one of the insurances I have, even though it was on the online website that they accepted those insurances. And she also told me my exam would be $85 if I got contacts and glasses(NOT INCLUDING EXAM OR THE LENS I NEED). And if I just got glasses it would still be 40 something dollars just for the exam not including the glasses, lens or anything. Right there in there I just told her to cancel the appointment, I had already gotten a bad vibe from the optometrist. I will not be spending my hard earned money on people who can’t even be honest about the prices, they try to slide it on you last minute, but don’t include that your frames and your lenses would be two different prices and in reality you will be spending up to $500 where as you thought you would only be spending around $100 at most. So I decided to head right next-door to the Eyemart express.

Do not waste your money at this place. Very poor customer service and management, impossible to get hold of anybody. I ordered ONE pair of glasses (not even two as advertised) and was told 7-10 business days. It’s almost a month passed and still no where to be done with ONE pair of glasses. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to call this location because the phones are simply not working and after calling numerous times on whatever number I was able to find on the website I’ve been transferred several times and was told that someone will call me back with the answer. No one ever call back even as a courtesy. After talking to a sales person at the location, I was assured my order will be ready in a few days. Guess what? It wasn’t ready and still NOT ready. Manager seems not to really care either. She is there just because. Sad.

The worst customer experience ever. I booked an appointment online. On the day of they called and said they were over booked and I had to reschedule. How is this possible when I was allowed to schedule days ago? They gave some excuse about virtual visits that don’t show up on the website or whatever. I called customer service to reschedule and they informed me the Harbison location was not booked and it in fact had openings. They encouraged me to keep my appointment. I went by. The dr was standing around. One employee was vacuuming. No customers were in the store. They then told me they were triple booked and that customer service was wrong. Could’ve fooled me! After protesting, the dr agreed to see me. Then the issue was oh we stopped taking your insurance in January. Forget this. I went to Target Optical and had a great experience. I will take my business elsewhere and you should too.

Stanton Optical is the absolute best eye place in Columbia! I was on my lunch break and some how I got my free eye exam, picked out 3 pairs of glasses and had some amazing service while doing so (all in less than an hour). COREY RICE THANK-YOU! I can finally read road signs again. I cant wait to come pick out some new sunglasses

Today I came to Stanton Optical Harbison Location and I was pleased with the service given and especially pleased with Robert he was really insighful and made my experience one to remember. I recommend going to Stanton for your glasses needs and making sure you ask for Robert Coleman he was so professional and clear on everything that I needed make sure you visit and ask for him.

My daughter went in for an eye exam only. When she got there they told her they do not accept tricare east. Not a problem mistakes happen. I called the Harbison location to get more information and talked to Alex. First I just asked if they took tricare. He replied yes so I then asked why my daughter was just turned away. He said he needed to call corporate and put me on hold for 3 minutes then hung up on me. Not happy with this location. If I do go to another Stanton it will NOT be this location.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give them 0 Stars I would. My appointment for 5:10PM was cancelled 20 MINUTES before my appointment (4:50PM). Then they went on to blame the overbooking and saying they overbooked because they didnt expect everyone to show up for their SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. How is this my, as your customer, fault that you overbooked? The lady who called me offered to reschedule my appointment and could guarantee that it wouldnt be rescheduled...by having me book an early morning or lunch time appointment. If either of those were options for me, I would have picked one of them to begin with. I work during the week and picked my 5:10PM appointment for a reason. FAIR WARNING: DONT SCHEDULE AN AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING APPOINTMENT IF YOU WANT TO BE SEEN. APPARENTLY YOURE JUST WASTING YOUR DAMN TIME.

Never will I ever be going back to Stanton optical. After an appointment that was scheduled, and a 45 minute drive to get much needed glasses for my son, (who I was specifically told it would be okay to be seen at 6 years old) we were turned away. A waste of an entire day due to either pure lack of communication between the store and appointment coordinator, or the pure lack of care by store associates. Highly disappointed, and although I myself have been a customer myself for years, I will not be returning and taking my business elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculous, if they cannot see pediatric patients that is one thing and completely understandable, but what I dont understand is as to why I was specifically told differently, and still scheduled for an appointment that only resulted in an entire waste of two hours. No thankyou.
