I took my mothers ring to be sized for my daughter in law and they sized it in the same day. They were very professional, helpful and courteous. While I was there I discovered a beautiful ring I put on layaway. They have beautiful pieces. My moms ring looked so pretty and brand new when they were done. We were very pleased. I will definitely be going back and recommend them to anyone. They provide fast service and they care about their customers.

I chose Better Jewelers based on reviews, and they were right. It is a great place! I needed a new watch battery, but replacing the battery didnt get the watch working. Even though it was closing time, John worked on my watch and managed to correct whatever had it jammed, despite it being a relatively cheap movement. And while he was working, we had a nice chat, like I was an old friend instead of a random person off the street. Ive worked retail, and I know how much you want to go home at the end of a long day, but there was no pressure, no leave it and Ill look at it tomorrow. Just outstanding service and an amazing price for the work. Ill be back, and will be recommending Better Jewelers.

I visited yesterday to sale some old gold and a gold coin. I got ripped off. One of the pieces that I was selling had diamonds in it. John checked all the pieces and gave me a price. So I ask if it included the diamonds and at first he said no and then replied what diamonds. Looked at the dia.onds took my items and moved across the store. The diamonds alone are worth way more than $250 . I had not said yes or no prior to him grabbing my items and moving away from me. The gold coin was worth more than he offered. I took my gold coin and left the store. Went to OConnell and was giving the asking price with no questions. NEVER TAKE YOUR JEWELRY OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. I THOUGHT SINCE I KNEW JOHN FROM THE BAR WHERE I WORKED HE WOULD TREAT ME RIGHT. I WAS WRONG. ALL HES ABOUT IS MAKING FOOLS OUT OF PEOPLE! THE RING JUST NEEDED ONE DOAMOND ADDED AND CAN BE RESOLD! WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER RECEIVED!! I WOULDNT RECOMMEND YALL TO MY WORST ENEMIES

I couldn’t recommend Better Jewelers more! My ring desperately needed repair after my dog had chewed, bent, and dented it. Within a few hours my ring was returned in better shape and polished off to a perfect shape/size nicer than it had looked before the dog got to it. Awesome staff, service, and price for my repair !

Jon is so very helpful with everything, from appraisals to repairs to insurance advice. He is very reasonable compared to others in town, and I wish I had known about Better Jewelers years before. He and his staff are honest and I trust them. Over the years they have helped me with estate and insurance matters, as well as repairs. I would recommend his business to anyone. I now travel three hours to deal with him and will continue to do so. Don’t throw your money away! Use Better Jewelers!

Family owned and operated with a great staff. Mr. John is straight forward and honest there was no scam going on just a desire to give the customer the best service possible. I brought in a watch with a broken band I was having trouble finding a replacement for. The company no longer made or had parts for and they found a broken one on line. Three business days later it comes in. After further inspection it is fixable and also in better condition. The same day I leave the store with the same watch except almost brand new with a spare. The agreed price for the repair including shipping for watch was not even questioned by the staff and remained the same. I felt like I was robbing them but Mr. John was just happy he could fix the problem. I recommend them and if I ever need anything jewelry related they will definitely be my first and only stop.

I needed to get my engagement ring resized so I took a chance on Better Jewelers and Im glad I did. The work was done much quicker than other jewelers would have been able to do it (2 days) and my ring was returned more sparkly than I had left it. Jon even made sure to check my diamonds certification number before and after the sizing. Id highly recommend them.

I had inherited a diamond ring I was looking to sell. After having a horrible experience with another local jeweler, Jon at Better Jewelers was a breath of fresh air. Very knowledgeable and cares about giving the customer a fair deal on both sides. The jeweler at the previous establishment I visited made me feel pressured and anxious to accept his offer. However, at Better Jewelers, Jon went out of his way to offer the best price possible and to make me feel comfortable about the process.

I got my greatest gift last year from better jewelers, my engagement ring! I could not have dreamed of a more perfect and beautiful ring! It didn’t have a matching band but they found me one that looks like it was made to go with my ring. I couldn’t be happier! What’s even better is I didn’t even ask, they went the extra mile to find it! They were also able to size and plate my husbands late fathers wedding band so that we could have that special piece a part of our wedding. Can’t beat the great prices and service!

Went in to have my watch band tightened. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes for a cheap $5. (I mention the price because the chain jewelry stores in the mall quoted me almost $40 for the same service)Great customer service and a great inventory of jewelry!

If there was a way to give ZERO stars, I would! Went to Jon (store owner) for a request to change out some watch batteries. As soon as I walked in the store, two other guys peep their heads in and tell Jon that his truck was hit in the parking lot, at which time Jon rushed out to see what happened. He comes back in, I ask if everything is ok, he said the headlight was cracked and thats it. Back to business. He starts to change one watch battery, and then with the second watch, he said it was going to be more complicated, so he asked me to come back the next day. I had time that day that I was there, so I told Jon I was willing to wait if it would only take 30 min or so to change the battery. He insisted that he wouldnt be able to do it in that time and needed to have my watch until the next day. Another customer had come in at this point. He attended to her in the midst of helping me, and decided he would spend more of his time and efforts on her. Maybe it was because I was a first time customer? Lol, who knows. After some time, he comes back to me and tells me that he has his truck to attend to, that hes the only one working in the store that day, and he had to help this other customer and go get the mail out of his mailbox. I gathered up my watches, paid for the one that he had worked on, then he proceeds to show and tell me that the one he wouldve needed more time to fix, is essentially a very poor quality watch. Nice, throw insult to the first time customer. Next day, I took a friend to ATL. While there, I found a watch shop in ATL that changed my 2nd watch battery in 10 minutes, and that was just before the store closed! Dude in Columbus (Jon) is a sorry example of customer service. He told me the watch needed more work (which was the one that was fixed in 10 min in ATL) and hed have to have it overnight... Interesting. I will never go back to Jons shop or recommend him to anyone I know as he not only had terrible customer service to a first time potential customer, but he also clearly either lied to me about having to work on my 2nd watch overnight or just simply was incapable of performing a battery change on a non-standard watch. Guess I shouldnt be surprised as this is a shop in Columbus F-ing GA. If he was anywhere else, hed get eaten alive and his business would sink.

Fix the impossible and great service .

I would rate this store a zero star, but I didnt have this option. The woman and man that works in the store are rude and contentious. We wanted to retrieve our item because they kept changing the return time. We finally found out that the item was damaged by the repairer, and we were told thats the chance you take . DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! RUN away as fast as you can....horrible customer service!
