What a joy to visit Carson McCullerss house. We emailed the contact from their website to schedule an appointment. He dedicated over an hour to storytelling and sharing about the space! My partner is a huge McCullers fan – so the history of the space and the quality of the tour was well worth it.

We did not get to go in because I believe that you have to schedule a tour. There is a scholar living in residence. We did take pictures and stand outside. The house is in a neighborhood area. Theres a website online that gives you a lot of great information about the house and how to schedule a visit.

Read all her books and saw the movies I drive by her house every time I exit Chic Fil A on Wynnton Road I go out the back way down Stark Avenue. I am so glad Columbus citizens finally recognized the talent this amazing woman possessed. Even when I lived many Germans had read some of her books and loved them. Thank for preserving her home.

Excellent visit and informative conversation with the young lady attendant. I touched the chair that Marilyn Monroe sat in. I also learned more about her (Carsons) life and characters.
