Im a long time customer and recently hired employee of this particular Joanns. (I was meaning to write this ages ago before I was hired.... I know Im technically biased). Ive always had a great experience shopping at this location. More fabrics and trims than I know what to do with, and helpful and knowledgeable staff. And now that Im behind the scenes as well as still being a loyal customer, I doubly appreciate how everybody on the joanns team hustles to keep the store running the way it does. Sure, the clearance section is messy, but digging for deals is half the fun! Appreciate your local retail workers; theyre just as stressed out as you right now. Were all making the best of what life gives us (and sometimes what Corporate gives us) and we all need to be patient. Things will get better soon. In the meantime, happy crafting!

I cant seem to stay away. Every one is very friendly and helpful but stock on certain items is very low. I purchased online but they didnt actually have it in stock at the store. I will definitely shop again.

The staff was super friendly. The store had everything I was looking for and more. There were also a lot of deals, which was nice. There’s a large selection of everything and it was a pleasant visit. There were no lines and not crowded. COVID regulations friendly. Will definitely come back when in the area.

I recently starting taking up knitting so I visit Joanns frequently for yarn since it’s 5 mins away from my house. Usually am not one to write reviews especially negative ones.. every time I go in all the employees seem so miserable and never helpful, no smiles, nothing. On top of that they don’t have any bags, only small brown paper bags. So if you’re buying in bulk and forgot your reusable bag you now have to carry everything down the escalator which can be very dangerous considering the fact that your arms are full of items they make you carry

Picked out 7 fabrics to make a patchwork skirt. The attendant was so pleasant while cutting the different materials for me. The store was clean and well stocked. The cashier was friendly.

Very nice. However one employee had no clue what a stretched canvas was and she told me they didnt carry it but they actually do. She told me they only have canvas paper. I was so confused but once I looked around I found a whole isle of stretched canvas

I just got a great deal with their coupons and year end sale. Plenty of choices for fabrics. Not very crowded and no long lines. It was a pleasant shopping experience. Definitely coming back againnfor my fabric needs.

The best place for sewing products

If your a serious designer, these prices are only good for sample products. If your a hobbyist, the prices are marginally affordable. However for the overall location, it is competitive. They have classes that last last late Into the Night. And the customer service reps are very helpful.

I learned to crochet in a class at JoAnns I highly recommend it- if they are offering them during the pandemic. I took mine in the West Babylon store- and I practiced for awhile- you wan to develop a good rhythmn so the work and tension is consistent..When a friend told me - in July she was having a baby boy- I whipped up this Baby Blanket- using Bernat Big blanket- in waterslide and used 2 large balls. It is Chennille soft, and thick yarn, and you will need a hook- higher than j. It actually works up faster- depending upon the pattern The pattern shown- I downloaded on Etsy and had it made in 3 days. I then Finished off the edge, with Bernat Pipsqueak yarn- in white for 2 rows. Used approx half a roll or less. It came out Fantastic. The finished dimension was 44X 40. Large enough for Benjamin to grown with it~ I do know that little Benjamin & his Mom, love the blanket!..

Expensive but nice merchandise

Been to the store once. Ordered a 100% acrylic yarn and beginners crochet needles online. My order was slightly different from the original. The store looked interesting. Was in a hurry, wanted to explore more but couldnt. There was a order pickup register but it was closed and we were left wondering for a while as to where we should be going.

My wife is making protective masks and she likes the material available. Timely curbside delivery

This store has a good selection of yarns and knitting and crochet accessories. I also noticed that it has a large amount of different materials and seems to have a variety of seeing notions, sewing machines, etc.The store is handicap friendly with wide aisles and electric doors. It is visible from traffic and has a free parking lot with handicap spots.

JOANN’s is probably a very nice store to shop at, however i wouldn’t apply there. There is nobody that actually looks over handed in applications, it is all looked over digitally. Mine was handed in at 5:20pm, and it came back negative also at 5:20pm.

The older lady working there was very rude to me and my mom when we were getting our fabrics. Had an attitude and insisted we couldnt get a discount. On the other hand the young lady working at the register was very helpful and sweet. She totally changed my experience for the better.

Im not sure how you manage to consistently hire the best, kindest, most helpful staff, but every time I go in there I leave with exactly what I want and having been helped by a smiling, considerate staff member. Kudos to the staff and management.

Every year Halloween rolls around I find myself in Joanns. They have everything I need to make my custom Halloween costumes. Great selection of fabrics and accessories. Very helpful staff.

Store was filthy and very unorganized! Store lights would flicker on/off. Staff didn’t even dress professional not speak professional. Plus who wants to go to a store where you have to carry your purchases down an escalator!!! Nope, this store did not do it for me...

I think The Joann store in COMMACK (ONLY) is great. The people who work there are helpful and nice. Sometimes there should be 2 fabric cutters but even so it is a good store.

Very clean organized store. They have many things you would not expect. They also have very neich things you wont find any where else. Only problem is its not easy to find and the story doors not show any signs of it being a craft story. Looks not like a clothing store with the name. The logo should have like a sewing told on the name and pictures of products on sale in the windows.

Love those coupons. Theres almost always a good one available online to bring up at the register on your mobile device. A lot of supplies for crochet were bought here.

What a wonderful craft store! Its big and well organized. The staff were very helpful and polite. This store had an isle for every craft and all sorts of fabrics and quilts. They even stay open longer then another store I used to go to.

Wow they have a lot of different tiny things. And 2 weeks before Halloween there were lots of things 60% off already. Good place!

Very unorganized and messy fabric area. I went at 10am and it looked like a tornado went through it. No staff to upkeep and keep everything in order. So many bolts of fabric on the floor and staff just walked over it.

Joann is a lot closer to my house than Michaels and I always try to give it a chance by going there and for some reason I can’t never find what I’m looking for. Such a waste of time.

HUGE! Im in NYC, but when I have the option to, I make the effort to drive all the way out to Commack for this JoAnns. It has so much fabric, as well as a large yarn selection. Rows upon rows of crafting supplies! Also has up-to-date price checkers, which is nice for the large clearance sections.
