Staff was friendly. I was lost in their because I’ve never been in an ulta store and staff was able to help me find what I needed. I also saw some soap that I liked and wasn’t planning on buying lol

Do not go to the stylist Tiffany Vargas. She is very sweet but does not listen to her client at all! I told her I wanted to keep my length and we agreed on a style. She cut my hair about 2 inches more than the agreed upon style. It took me over a year to grow the length I was comfortable getting a trim on. Save yourself the heartache and tears and go to a different Ulta stylist. You pay a little more but you get what you pay for.

Dont really care for this store. Prices way too high. Stop shipping there. I rather go to Macys because their prices are much better on beauty items and perfume. Maybe if their was another competitor store in the community the prices would be much better and ther customer service would improve.

This store 798 has a manager with the worst customer service skills. It is obvious its her first position as a manager and no formal education by her speech/word choice. She certainly did not get it based on her drab, large, no makeup appearance. A rock has better emotional intelligence. She cant make a reasonable decision or judgment based on facts. She put no effort in thoughtful decision or how to best help the customer. She was simply bothered by having been in a position to deviate from her routine. Being a manager requires thought, diplomacy, customer appreciation, and thinking outside a box. It is too much for her.

This particular ulta has great customer service. Very genuine in wanting to help you with your account, beauty tip suggestions, and dont put any pressure on you to buy anything. Very comfy vibe. I find the travel size section to be helpful in the sense of trying out new face, hair, and skin or body products.

I absolutely love Ulta. They always have the best selection when it comes to make up. They have an amazing point system. They always have specials going on and they give out amazing samples. This is the only store that I shop for my make up.

Going into a makeup store and seeing so many products can sometimes be overwhelming. I’m glad I got the chance to speak with MariaJose (MJ)all the knowledge she has on the brands her store carries is impressive . Made it easier when choosing the things I wanted. The staff is friendly something that other stores need to have.

I love the customer service in this Ulta. I have only gone once but my experience was so great the makeup artist went out of her way to help me and my father find a couple of things for my long-distance cousin to send her as she is a makeup artist as well and not only did she help with that she gave me her personal experiences with skin care items so that I can pick the best according to the skin type. Ulta should definitely hire more stuff like that, definitely will be returning here.

The customer service is great the girls offer help when you go in. Whats best is that they just added more of Anastasia Beverly Hills products including the liquid lipsticks! However most of the lipstick were out of stock when i went last Saturday. You can be sure they will be sold quickly as soon as they stock up again. Ive been going there since it first opened and so far the service has been great.

I went to get a couple of hair products on 8/2/19 at the compton, ca gateway and while i there was there I encountered some of the rudest customer service, the girls working at that time which was around 2:10pm in the afternoon was just plain unprofessional. None of them approached me to see if I needed any help, I observed one of the employees who was helping two hispanic ladies just pass right by me after she finished helping them and not even acknowledge me which makes me think they pick and choose who they want to provide customer to, another girl who walked right by me I had to chase down to ask about item I was looking for; and another girl also walked right by who also did not ask if I needed help just walked right by. When I called the CORPORATE OFFICE IN BOLINGBROOK, IL, TO MAKE THEM AWARE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICE AT THE COMPTON, CA GATEWAY STORE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESNETATIVE JUST KEPT PUTTING ME TO A LINE THAT KEPT DROPPING MY CALL I WONDER IF THIS IS WHAT THEY DO TOO EVERYONE WHO CALLS IN WITH A COMPLAINT. So I take it that ULTA BEAUTY CORPORATE office does not want to hear about what kind of customer service their employees are giving to the customers.

Most of the samples are all jacked up but i wont even take off a star over that because this ulta was actually really nice. The workers were nice when i asked them questions about certain products.

1 star only because I cant leave none. Came here for my appointment at 2:30 when I was advised what I wanted I couldnt get done. I said ok a trim and blow dry. She trimmed maybe a centimeter if that off. She then prepared to blow dry my hair with out washing or adding any protectant. Instead she blow dried it and constantly insisted on adding 3 dig types of products in my hair. Now Im walking out paying 31$ for stiff hair. The 31$ is not a problem. Ive spent over 100$ at salons, the false advertisement and what I was told was going to happen is what I have a problem with. Completely disappointed that I wasted my time here and now have to go sit in someone else chair because you guys didnt do what you were paid for.

I called this store after searching online for a particular product and they not only had the product but had it waiting for me at the front counter and I also ran out of concealer. It was my lunch break and I really appreciate that quick service.

I asked for help color matching a foundation and the girl didn’t even know what she was doing.

Pricey but delicious. Groups are welcome. Every cosmetic and fragrance imaginable are found in the establishment.

Not impressed with their customer service at all!! Comparing it to my first visit in Avondale,AZ...I was very disappointed to see that the girls were not as helpful.

This is my neighborhood ulta and im no expert in make up at all, but i love trying out different products carried in here. I love their associates they dont follow you around or bother you theyll ask you here and there if youre doing okay, probably because ill spend hours and hours looking haha. Anyway, they recently added mac which makes me so happy, i love their lipsticks. I went in their today to try out a ulta hydrating mask because my skins been so nasty and dry on my face, also i got some nyx products as well. Nice store!

Donta is amazing with hair. He was really good. I got Deep conditioning, hair wash, cutting and styling. My hair is soft and he didnt cut more than i wanted off and it feels and smells amazing. I have diffrent hair types in my hair and it didnt hurt when he combed it. I am tender headed and have zero tolerance for pain. Thank you donta i will see you in a month 😊😊😊👐

Terrible experience. I worked for the company as a security officer and management is horribly rude. “Justine” has a stick up her a** all day and spoke to me as if I was less than her having never even met me or asked my name. Not to mention they only appreciate guards who profile just as much as them. I don’t recommend this ULTA unless you want to be followed around the store if you’re a minority.

Everytime I cone here Im treated like a criminal, I walk in and all eyes are on me, but when I go to different ulta Im treated so much better, Im greeted once I walk in, asked if I need any help showed different products treated with respect but this one ulta is horrible even told the manager about a security guard following just me and all he said is ok.. I spend a lot of money at ulta especially when I dont wanna go to Sephora just wish I wasnt treated so poorly

Ulta Beauty is located in Comptons Town Center Gateway shopping center right off the Artesia Station of the LA Metro Blue Line. Ulta is one of a series of shops that opened in the expanded center in the Summer/Fall of 2014. The center itself has plenty of parking, is clean, seems to be free of riff raff and homeless, and has a well lit parking lot.I particularly like this Ulta Beauty store because they have salon stylists and showroom floor workers who are dark skinned and can recommend products for women who are darked skinned and for women who have kinky hair or who relax/process their hair to make it straight.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be around. Unfortunately, out of the staffs control is what gets stocked on the product shelf. A number of times one of the staff suggested to me a product that would match my dark skin and while the product was from a manufacturer that Ulta carried, the store did not carry the full line of tones for that manufacturer. This did not surprise me at the Marina Pacifica store in Long Beach but it did surprise me at this store in Compton. I was told by the manager, a friendly man named Kenny, that not even he gets a say over what gets stocked. He can only let the corporate office know what customers are requesting.Ive had one treatment at this store and it is one I would recommend to any women. I had Tiana, a Benefits Brow Bar Expert wax, tint and style my eyebrows. The experience was terrific and the effect was dramatic. I will definitely be returning for this service.HEADS UP TO PEOPLE WHO SIGNED UP FOR ULTAS BEAUTY REWARDS PROGRAMUlta offers brow waxing and tinting as a service at their salons BUT good luck attempting to use your beauty rewards points to apply towards the purchase of that service. At least at the Compton store, the cash register/computer will not allow Beauty Rewards points to be used on Salon Services.Brow tinting and waxing done at the Brow Bar on the showroom floor is consider a Prestige Service, not a Salon Service and as such, the customer is allowed to use her Beauty Rewards Points towards the purchase of the service. So remember this when you are scheduling your brow or chin or upper lip waxing. Get it done at the brow counter on the showroom floor, NOT at the salon. At least if you want to save some money by using your Beauty Rewards Points to pay for it.
