Taylor Rental is the place to go when you are doing home improvement projects and need equipment thats perfect for the job at hand. Over the years weve worked with Mark and his staff to not only rent the equipment needed for the project were undertaking but they offer excellent tips too! This latest project was a major undertaking sanding the nearly 500 square feet of hardwood flooring for a fresh new coat of polyurethane.Mark invested extra time with me when I rented the sander as well as the proper amount of grit required for this size of a job. Having sealed off the room with plastic to minimize cleanup I headed over to Taylor Rental for a weekend of fun aka sanding.This piece of equipment is loud so earplugs are highly recommended and for this gal all of 5 2 3/4 tall it was relatively easy to handle. It is heavy so getting it into the house is much easier with an extra person to help. We took our time first trying a section in the back of the room but quickly found a rhythm and was well on our way to a beautifully sanded floor.I cant stress enough the prep in putting up plastic over heater covers, light fixtures and taking down curtains as the clean up was definitely much quicker than without. A strong vacuum is a plus as this tool didnt have a bag to capture the sawdust created but Id still recommend this piece of equipment for this type of job.After clean-up which included washing the walls and ceiling to eradicate any & all particles before applying the polyurethane we used MINWAX water-based oil modified - highly recommend this product. It is easy to use and spreads nicely.We purchased a tool on-line to apply the product and also recommend this tool (18 lightweight DURATOOL T-Bar Applicator).TIP: make sure you go wall to wall not stopping in between with the T-Bar for smooth seamless transition (there are great youtube videos out there as well).If you are handy, TAKE YOUR TIME and want to save a plethora of money you can absolutely do this too. We spent under $350 total for this including the equipment rental, three grits of paper (60, 80 and 150), the T-Bar applicator, plastic for dust control and two cans of the MINWAX water-based poly.Be sure to tell Mark I sent ya because he and his staff are a great local company to do business with.

We rented some party stuff and a generator for a campground wedding and everything went very smoothly. Taylor and Allie in particular answered lots of questions and were very flexible as we made changes along the way. Renting stuff is a great way to get what you need!!

Great people, have rented equipment from them multiple times, and will definitely continue to do so. Theyre always very accommodating and competitively priced. Very knowledgeable, too.

Rented a paint sprayer to do my basement ceiling over the weekend, half way through the motor burnt out. I called their 24 hour service and they showed up on a Sunday to let me pick up one that worked. They went out of their way to make my life easier I can’t thank them enough. It was very unexpected but much appreciated. It’s tough to put into words how friendly, informative, and accepting everyone is. No matter your experience level they are willing to take the time and help in any way they can.

Save your time... Picked up a stump grinder and it took us almost 3 hours and a trip to the hardware store to get it running. Despite calling the 24-hour number no one ever called us back. When we returned it and explained our trouble (and that we called with no call back), we pretty much got an oh well and was charged full price.

The actual equipment rental was fine and the equipment worked well. However, when you return the equipment I suggest you make them take photos to attach to your file while you are there. In my case, they took pictures of a completely different cement mixer than the one I rented and charged me a $25 cleaning fee for someone elses rental.Update: Even after multiple email conversations regarding the issue they will just fall back to their policy that all of their equipment is cleaned and inspected before it is sent out. Lesson learned, dont trust them to do their job, make sure you record proof that they didnt. Or just dont do business with them, seems easier to me.

This small business has gone above and beyond every step of the way. They walked me through everything I needed - didnt try to upsell me and were kind, flexible, and generous throughout. When Kay met me to survey the property to make sure the tent would fit, she even brought coffee! Theres no service as good as that! Mark worked diligently with me through visa issues and COVID 19 to help find a resolution. I could not be happier with the company I chose. I will always recommend them!

Good weekend rentals... Friday thru. Tues on labor day holiday.

I reserved a canopy for my daughters bridal shower. Because of COVID-19 the bridal shower cannot be held as planned on 5/30. Taylor Rental refuses to refund an almost $300 deposit. I understood the refund was non refundable but under these circumstances exceptions should be made. Airlines are making exceptions, concert venues are making exceptions so why cant Taylor Rental.

As many know, with covid events are being cancelled. Our happened to be our wedding. Our venue called us 45 days before our wedding to cancel. I contacted Taylor True Value to cancel our tent as we now had to move the wedding to MA. To my surprise, I got a very rude manager. She stated Im sorry you feel that way, but it isnt our problem that your wedding was cancelled. She said I could have a store credit for a later event, which is no where near our home and what would I do with that? I was shocked at her lack of customer service. She kept saying Im sorry you feel that way. Well, Im sorry that you have no flexibility! She was incredibly rude and stated they dont do refunds and that again, it wasnt her problem.Update... 9/20/20When we contacted your company in August and informed the manager that our wedding venue in NH canceled on us, we were informed that there was no way to get our money back. We were getting married more then 2 hours away in West Bridgewater MA. I was told we could get a credit to the store or pick up the item ourselves. I informed The manager that we would need to drop off on a Sunday and was told that was fine. My husband picked up the tent on Friday the 18th and informed them the same thing, and was told that was fine.So we took the 2+ hour drive on our day of our honeymoon and when we were almost to their location, we checked the address the location said closed on google. We called and the manager answered. After telling her she and I had Had this conversation before, she agreed to meet us there.When we got there she handed my husband a 60.00 bill for dropping off early!This was never ever in a contract or spoken about! We were very clear we no longer wanted to rent from them, but their policy of no refunds didn’t leave us a choice! Now they want to charge us a fee we did not agree to.The manager has been rude from the time our wedding venue cancelled on us and all the way through! I would never ever recommend this company to anyone ever!

Quick and easy rental.

Good equipment choice, however, it wasnt ready to go when we picked it up. It needed gas and needed to be cleaned.

It was so easy to just pick up and drop off. They loaded and unloaded if you needed help. I wish I looked to see what was available earlier because I bought a lot of my own stuff when I couldve just rented it.

Rented a drum sander and was only able to use it for 30 mins because sand paper would not stay on. They claimed to have given me written directions, they did not. The technician was cursory in his explanation of howIt worked. Had no problem charging me for all the pieces of sand paper that the machine ruined. Next time I’m using Home Depot even though they are more expensive.

Such a wonderful company to work with! They truly did an amazing job making sure I had everything I needed for my wedding this past weekend!

We rented a saw last weekend. It died half way through our project. When we brought it back there was no questions, and gave us a free rental for the following weekend. Would definitely use them again.

Really stepped up their game, hadnt used them since they moved to North state street, but the service and staff has significantly improved, care of equipment and pick up is way easier. Most of all they are way better than Eagle rental in Waterville, Maine which is the zero on the scale of 1-10.

Made sure I got what I needed

The equipment I rented wasnt started before I rented it. Definitely somthing I like about other too rental shops. Even though I didnt run their tool for even a minute and brought back all consumables untouched I was only credited half a day and the consumables. They said I should have called (there was no phone call that took place the crew was greatly disappointed and we rented from another shop) but an hour away I didnt know there was a way to exchange the tool. If someone had gone over the rental agreement I might have known and it might have been a worth while rental. As a google local guide I dont see this often. Nor do I see some customers that get credited a rental for saws that die over ones that didnt even run a saw and get half a day credit and the cost of the blades. No need to talk yourselves up well keep our opinion as we are entitled to and rent elsewhere.😁

DiSHONEST!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Cheated and ripped off by Taylor rental of Concord. Rented their OLD and DEFECTIVE floor sanding equipment that ate sandpaper because the clamps that hold the paper in place were broken. After four hours wasted tinkering with their junk we replaced their old, broken and improvised equipment with Home Depots brand new belt sander which was more than equal to the task. When I sent my 75 year old father to return their junk equipment they whacked him with a $181 bill. What an incredible rip off!
