My first time going to Ashby was not what I expected from the customer service. I called ahead for gate parts that a young lady said we are sold out. I decided to go and get some fence planks anyway.I have never been there before and walked right up to what I called about. They had two boxes.Then I get in line and watched everyone chitchat like they did not have time for me. Then I know my question was brightest but there is reason to be snotty.Never going back ever again.

I called yesterday to see if they had 1x8x6 redwood con-heart fence boards in stock and they said they did. I went this morning and there were none in stock and they havent had them in weeks.

Purchased 45 2 X 6 X 20 redwood heart, all but 3 were great.Ashby Lumber delivered the 3 replacement boards and picked up the cracked boards, no questions, no problems.That is service ! my experience was counter people, yard personal and delivery men, all wanted to please the customer .Would recommend Ashby Lumber to all my friends, family and co workers .

This place is amazing and the customer service is the best. I was catered all the way thru my purchase from Pat at the Berkeley store. And then by John and Rob in Concord. ( The two cute dudes with their own desk)These two made it happen and made it happen good. Dont shop anywhere else this is the place. I drove all the way from Sacramento to get their great deals. I will be back and I will definitely refer this company. Hands down all American good hospitality.

A great a great lumber yard with pretty much everything you need to build a house from Foundation to roof except for plumbing fixtures you can find that at the Berkeley location. Friendly staff great delivery service and reasonable prices definitely a go to place if youre doing them Lumber project
