It was a great experience; even though I was nervous as all HELL! The staff was great & helpful. Especially a gentleman named Colin. Colin took his time to educate me on firearms. He taught me how to load, how to properly hold a handgun, how to properly aim a gun. He even showed me how to use the marker for better aim. Colin also explained which gun had a stronger recoil. Previous member and actually enjoyed this facility when they originally opened and then the first few years afterwards. This was the first range I would recommend to anyone. However, I recently visited again and the customer service has taken a turn for the worse. Disappointed to see such a drastic difference in experience.

Ordered a 300blk which arrived with a broken folding brace buffer pin. Strange but true. After getting it checked in I headed over to see John the gunsmith within SRR for some help. Initially it seemed as though the lower might need to be sent back to PSA, but John was able to fix it. Bought a gun from them with a mounted scope that was broken... go in for help to get it fixed... they blame this guy... they are gonna call these people... they need the gun for a return... no communication in almost a week... had to go buy a working scope and have another dealer install it, because why would i let them do it at this point... really offered not much help and im out 400 to get a new scope so i can finally have a working rifle like i should have when bought off their shelves... not a great experience at all.

I was having an issue with a bolt catch roll pin not wanting to go through on a current AR build I’m working on. I had spent hours trying to beat the darned thing through. This is my sixth build and I’d never encountered this issue before. I consulted friends and family before deciding to visit the Gunsmiths at Saddle River Range. John Oakland was extremely helpful!!! He listened to my story and understood my frustration. He had my lower fixed up in less than 30 minutes! He also took the time to explain to me that this being a forged lower was more likely to have these problems than the billet lowers I had worked with previously. So not only did he help me he also taught me something which is even more valuable!! I will definitely be going back should the need ever arise! Furthermore I’m going to have them Cerakote one of my builds after doing a great job on my wife’s handgun!! Excellent work and excellent service! Id been on the hunt for a rather rare (these days) and discontinued item, and I knew Saddle River Ranges gun shop had it. After several calls over the past month, I finally decided to pull the trigger (yes, pun), and Brandon D was there to walk me through the process, and making it extremely easy to get the item transferred via Form 3.I had several questions about using this particular item for multi-caliber setups. To my surprise, he actually had experience with this particular item - an invaluable resource to buyers needing opinions based on real-world experience, and not just something youd read off the web. Someone else in the shop (probably the armorer) had more tips to provide, say, if I was concerned with using this item on a higher-pressure round vs. one that this items caliber was more suited to.Overall, fantastic experience. If only I lived back in the C/Woodlands area still - these guys would get my constant business ... that is, if our freshly-elected leaders didnt want to take away this freedom in a hurry.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ !

Don’t even deserved not even one star!My husband went to get new arrows for his new bowHe was very expesific the pounds he’s doing and he asked for the size he needed that lady who was there said NO SHE RECOMMENDED A TOTAL DIFFERENT SIZE ! he said okay I was told is this size but since they had good reviews he listened to her and got what she said he needed well. He went to pick up his bow to set it up and he was told he got the wrong one. Tried calling told th what happened they said they can’t do nothing about he can changed them return them or nothing apparentlyBrand new arrows on the box never going to used $120 dllrs to the trash!!!

Prior to ordering online. the item shows available but when the Order was placed, it showed item maybe subject to back order. The order was placed last January 6th 2021, I’ve waited till April with no update other than “order was submitted to distributor”. Finally i’ve had enough and talked to manager and the only thing can offer me is Refund. This store has lousy customer service. I don’t recommend buying online product on this store.

Absolute terrible experience would give no stars if possible! Horrible customer service, even when speaking with so called Management that lied straight to my face. Purchased a New Gun with Things missing out of the box. (Buyers Beware) Not to mention way overpriced store. Non knowledgeable staff. Will never do business again.

Checked web for hours, drive a half hour to get there, look around and finally decide to purchase a gun (although overpriced, not terrible giving state of thing) and my brother is going to buy a $400 knife. As we walk to a sales person he asks if we are members and proceeds to tell us they are having a members only event and we would have to leave. We were there during normal business hours, there was no notice on the web and no one told us they would be closing to the public. After service like that I hope a “membership” gets you something really special like maybe some respect. Would not recommend this gun shop and certainly would never go back.

I’ve been to Saddle River multiple times to use the lanes and have loved my experience every time. This past time I was in was to get the rear sight for my .45 aligned since it a recent purchase and hadn’t been properly aligned since I got it. The Gunsmiths were a joy to talk with and had my gun finished and ready to shoot within 15 minuets. I want to thank Jeremiah and all the other gunsmiths for y’all a wonderful work.

I was having difficulty getting the gas tube roll pin into my gas block for my AR-15 build. Took it to Saddle River in hopes that they would be able to help me out with it. I rented a fully automatic hk mp5. Very little recoil, awesome fun, they have alot of guns to rent, i reccomend the full autos.

Fubard my Sig P320 up to the point that it was unusable. It was so remarkable that I had no concept it could be messed up that bad. I brought it in and John and Jeremiah got it apart and working in minutes. They saved my hind quarters because I needed my pistol for work. Thanks loads yall.

This review is specific to John Oakland, one of SRRs gunsmiths. I personally installed a new component into a DI rifle, purchased from SRR, and had some issues with the function and cycling of the gun. John accompanied me to the range and worked with me and my gun to smooth out the issues. I was prepared to start swapping in a new buffer, springs, etc. but through his expertise I was able to avoid the cost and time. I would not hesitate to pay for Johns time again in the future. I am very happy with every purchase made at SRR and the service received. Thanks again.

I had paid for a defensive pistol class, had a last-minute work emergency & wasnt able to attend.Your training staff offered me no assistance with a rain check or a credit toward a future class. They stuck by their no refund policy instead of building a relationship with a customer.There are plenty of other places to shoot and train in the area. I will spend my money elsewhere.Your staff does an excellent job of enforcing your rules but a terrible job of developing & maintaining a client base. It takes a lot of time & marketing to gain a customer but seconds to lose one.

Bought my first hand gun here. Came back to shoot it a few days later as they offer a free hour to shoot after purchasing a handgun. Wouldve given 5 stars, but they forgot to give me back a temporary ID that I had. Also, when I went back I needed the receipt to get the free hour and I didnt get that back either. I need it to register my gun for the warranty.

Their staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. I was having some issues on the range with my AR. The gunsmith (Ryan) was called over the take a look. He took my gun back, had it fixed, and returned to me within 5 minutes. I highly recommend this range over anywhere else.

Bought a gun on Gunbroker and had it shipped here. Wrong gun so they were supposed it return it to the seller. Now no one can find the gun, no record of it and NO ONE WILL RETURN MY CALL. How can this happen? So is my next step to report them? File a claim with the court? I used them because of their great rating. This has been going on for 5 weeks.

Saddle River Range has friendly staff and the range allows RAPID FIRE! Which is always fun. Been going here for a couple of years and its further away from my house than other ranges but their staff and rapid fire is worth the longer drive!

A local gunsmith installed new front and rear sights on a handgun. When I sighted-in the handgun at Saddle River, it was clear the front sight was off center. I shared my situation with Saddle RIvers gunsmith, John Oakland. With no fuss, John centered the front sight in moments. What for John took only moments, spared me a trip across town back to the first gunsmith and a huge headache. Thanks, pal.

My 8 year old son and I went in to the archery range hoping to rent a couple of recurve bows and shoot for an hour. We went in with very little experience. The guys were amazingly accommodating to new shooters. One gentleman, Gerald I believe, took the time to square us away with the fundamentals before turning us loose. It was a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you all for a great time!

First time in there and I was blown away. The staff were all very friendly, the coffee was delicious, and everywhere I turned, there was something new to look at. They have a lot of specialty items in there by brands we all know and love. Even things I typically have to order online, they had it in stock. Prices were surprisingly fair compared to some of the other places around. Some were so good, that I will only come here to stock up or replace certain parts now. I hear rave reviews about their gunsmith as well. Beware walking through those doors, you might just become a regular.

We’ve been having problems trying to self install accessories for our firearm and finally gave up and decided to seek help from the gunsmiths. Ryan, younger/tall guy, was so nice and understanding. He went above and beyond just trying to fix the problem and actually spent the time to help us understand the issue and made proper & honest recommendations and then was nice enough to put our gun back to original spec since we had royally disassembled it. An expert and a nice guy, that Ryan.

I watched and listened to a sales person tell someone that this specific handgun could only be sold to LEO or first responder(it was a basic m&p shield performance center). I am not sure if that was their tactic, to make it seem like they would make a deal for them or what. Everyone is very friendly and ALL prices are well over normal especially accessories like magazines.

The range itself is very nice with a large selection of products. Took my LTC there and the teacher was very informative. But one of the employees there gave me false information on eligibility for the LTC and resulted in me wasting hundreds of dollars for the class, the accompanying fees, a holster and gun belt, and of course 6.5 hours time in a classroom.

They apparently do not require employees to wear masks and most customers in their building I am told are not wearing them. My husband and I are recovering from COVID and had a scheduled concealed weapons class in August that has been re-scheduled a couple times since March due to this pandemic and they wanted us to still attend during August knowing that we have been COVID positive and are concerned. They dont seem to take the virus seriously at all and were not concerned about us attending and potentially spreading this virus to their other customers.... and the person over training was not at all sympathetic to our concerns. In weighing our options we decided against attending the course and lost our $200 course fee..... for now. We are in the process of filing several formal complaints and pursuing recovery of our fee.

Nice place! Mostly friendly employees that wanna help and ere professionals. Diff employees follow diff protocol as far as paperwork, collecting money etc... A few arrogant, pretentious “Gun dudes.” Faculty seems to get defensive rather than apologize they or their employees made mistake.

We drive from League City to shoot here. I have to give Ryan a big thanks. I had taken my 9mm to another place to have the sights installed. they were installed so bad I was lucky to hit a paper target. I went to go back to have them re-sight it and found that store had fired all there gun smiths. I was in to shoot another one of my guns as saw there Gun Smith Counter. OMG I can actually talk to the gun smith. I told him what was done to my gun. I showed him that the front sight was way off. He fixed the front sight while I was there (less then a few minuets) and even left the bore laser in to show where it was sighted to. Many thanks RYAN!!
