Sombrilla go started very quickly with measurements and accepting our deposit. The final product looks very nice and was installed quickly, once they actually came to install them. I gave them four stars because between the down payment and the actual installation, they had difficulty communicating a clear installation date and we often had to pursue them for information. With frequent (weekly) phone calls reminding them of their newest installation date, they finally were able to get the awnings installed.

My experience with this company from beginning to end was top-notch. My discussions with the owner, Mr. Quinn and various company staff were very cordial, friendly and professional throughout the entire process. Mr. Quinn arrived at our house timely to describe the product, to take the necessary measurements and answer any questions we had. Once the contract was signed, deposit given and the custom screens were ordered, we were kept apprised of our order status. Once our screens were completed, the installers arrived timely, were courteous and professional. Glad to do business with Sombrilla Shade Covers Inc.!

I would rate them a - I star for the following reason: I ordered my shades last April 2018 and paid a deposit, with a delivery and install for Jun 2018. As of this date have not heard from the company. Sent a Certified letter to company about cancelling the order last Nov 2018 and requested a refund. Still have not heard from the company. They have taken our deposit and have not delivered on their product. They have stole my refund.

My office received a lot of damage from the hailstorm last year, including our entry awning that was torn to shreds. I was referred to Sombilla by another Property Manager in our area that had similar damage. She highly recommended them and had a great experience. After contacting Sombrilla, Phil came out to my office with a book of all the materials/fabrics they offered for awnings. Since I needed the property owners approval for color and style, I needed to hang on to the book. Phil allowed me to hold on to it for a couple of weeks, which was very accommodating. Our new awning cover went up last week and looks great. The installers were quick and very professional. The quality is great and was worth every penny.

My previous post (see below) was during what we now refer to as a rough start on our trying to get a retractable awning. My previous evaluation was 1-star, but I am editing my evaluation to reflect what occurred after Ashley Q. Mercer got involved. After we had an opportunity to share our experience, Ashley committed to investigate and correct the issues resulting in the rough start. She did EXACTLY what she said she would. She addressed our concerns promptly, and moved the work forward at a pace we were very pleased with. The work is now completed - the installation crew was great, and our awning is beautiful. I am changing my 1-star to 5-star. Ashley and Team - THANK YOU!DO NOT give these people any deposit! We ordered an awning and gave them a deposit ($3800) April 24. It has been nearly 8 weeks - NO AWNING. I was told on/about June 9 that I would be called the following week with an update on progress - NO CALL! Finally, on June 16 when I called to ask about progress, I was told that someone would return my call later the same day - NO CALL! Please note the response to a previous post that references these same behaviors, and the comment that a new procedure was implemented in February, 2017 to address this type of poor customer service. What procedure? Behavior has not changed. This is simply more of THEIR same. One star - much too generous!

Sombrilla was a great company to work with! They installed shade structures for our daycare business and it turned out wonderful. I was surprised to see a bad review but my experience was a great one!

Unfortunately zero stars is not available. We hired Sombrilla to install 8 awnings at our business in May 2017. We paid $13,000 down. It is July 2019 and Sombrilla has only installed 2 awnings and they refuse to repay us the down payment less the cost for the 2 awnings they installed. We will be suing them. Avoid them at all cost. They are legitimately criminals.

Quality work delivered ahead of our schedule. Great people to work with and product looks great at our ball fields.

I made a $2,820 down payment on awnings and was told (by the owner, Mr. Quinn) that the product would arrive apprx 4-5 weeks. Nearly 19 weeks later, and after numerous phone calls to Mr. Quinn (who became agitated that I was agitated), the awnings were finally installed. Mr. Quinn would not return my calls while all of this was occurring, and I started worrying because I had already made a down payment and felt like I was getting ignored or the run around. At one time, I finally got through to Mr. Quinn (I think by accident) and when I tried to explain my concerns to him and asked if he could understand why I was frustrated, he responded (in an irritable manner) that he could not understand why I was frustrated. Towards the latter part of this terrible experience, he hired someone named Pete who ended up being fabulous. Pete returned my calls and provided me with frequent updates with the problems of the order. As it turned out, the product was on backorder which I completely understand happens in business, but why couldnt Mr. Quinn tell me that? He just kept ignoring me and when I did get through the one time to him, he was very rude. I could not believe the owner of a company (Mr. Quinn) would treat a customer so poorly.
