Well-stuffed deli sandwiches, smooth, rich ice cream for dessert. I tried the Bourbon Walnut...really nice! Friendly, hard-working staff, relaxing and clean dining area. We will be back to try more flavors!

I had the pecan crunch ice cream as always it was good and I ended up getting the swiss sandwich with coleslaw and the fruit punch lemonade drink and it was all so good. My 3 kids and I love coming here. All the employees are so nice and welcoming.

You go to this place for some of the creamiest ice cream around, made with cream from a local dairy. Lots of great flavors. There are also non dairy options which my daughter said was great.

Stopped by on a Saturday and had a turkey sandwich. It was top notch.

Excellent locally made ice cream with plenty of shaded outdoor seating. They have dozens of flavors and keep the available flavors updated on their website as well. The prices are quite reasonable and they are doing their best to keep things appropriately socially distant in their store. Overall, a great place to stop for ice cream!

What an awesome find!! I highly recommend this place! My kids wanted ice cream and my husband found the Lazy Cow on google and we were most definitely not disappointed. They had an excellent variety of in-store made ice creams. My husband got a Sunday made with a chocolate mousse ice cream that was delectable! I had a sandwich. They didn’t have a huge variety for the sandwich options, but I saw that as a plus because my sandwich was amazing and it didn’t break the bank because they weren’t wasting money offering 15 types of bread and blah blah blah… simple and oh so delicious. By the time I finished my sandwich I was kind of sad it was gone. It was that good!!! But I couldn’t have eaten a second one. And the young ladies working there were so friendly and we are definitely going to be going back the next time we go to Cookeville! Writing about it is making me hungry for another sandwich… sadness… I can’t make a late night run lol

Everything is homemade!! The waffle cones beat out anything Ive tried before!! They make their own ice cream which puts a twist on favorite flavors and they have several of their own! They also make nondairy ice cream! By far the best ever!!!

Wow. Ice cream isnt that good for you but if youre going to go ahead and go for it this is the place to stop. I couldnt believe how good the ice cream was and how much I got for a serving. The next time youre in Cookeville and you want some ice cream skip all the other places and go here. And people are nice and they are hard-working from what I could see. Lots of people and it was a little busy but they knocked it out just fine. Kudos to the staff for kicking so much butt.Had the peanut butter sauce Sundae with dark chocolate and white chocolate crunch awesomeness.

I took my nieces here and they are so dang picky I didnt know if they would enjoy it or not. But they loved it and so did I. Great experience even have a little yard for the kids to run around. Swings outside to sit on. Amazing place.

I love Lazy Cow Creamery! They have the best ice cream flavors and its so nice to have a local creamery ice cream shop! I am a huge fan of the silly old bear and sweet cream. My co-workers and I love to grab kids cups after lunch here like once a week.

Ok so I know Ive been going 5 stars alot lately but this is what happens when you get awesome service where the employees do an exceptional job. Never been here before but they treated us like family. There was 4 smiling faces when we ate our ice cream. Try the pineapple and the strawberry. Thats what I had.

Anything less than 5 stars would a shame to give this place. My friend took me here and I tried several flavors. All amazing, but if you really want to know how good an ice cream shop is, then get the vanilla. OMG, so rich and flavorful. Will go here every time I come to cookeville.

Ive gone twice and both times they have been amazing. Super friendly staff and the flavors are insanely good... this time I got there Vegan flavors, 3 of 4.... matcha green tea, fudge, and butterscotch.... They have a rewards program and make there own waffle cones on sight!! Only slight is the location, but if your patient getting in and out will be a breeze.

Their ice cream is amazing. Its super rich, creamy, with lots of goodies in it. The staff is really nice. Price-wise, its about the same as everywhere else, but you really get a superior ice cream. My boyfriend and I like to share a banana split when we go.

This is seriously the best ice cream I have had. In the picture is Apple Streusel. It has real apples, tastes very homemade, and is amazing. My wife had Silly Old Bear which basically tastes like fresh caramel corn..... Equally incredible.And the waffle cone, tastes like a sugar cookie.Its not just good for this town, Id put it up against anything. You might think Im exaggerating, I might be, I might be on a sugar high, OR, I might be completely serious and you should just drive and get ice cream. Or walk... Your choice.

Love, love, love this place!!! Their ice cream is so creamy and flavorful, and unlike store bought ice creams, or other ice cream shops, Lazy Cow ice cream does NOT hurt my stomach or cause any digestive upset. Cant say enough good things about this place. They are a bit pricey but it is worth every cent to be able to enjoy a sweet treat without suffering later!

Lazy Cow is our go to for local homemade ice cream in paper take home pints, cones, and bowls! They carry fresh local milk and cream from Crossvilles Sunrise Dairy in recycled ole time glass milk jars. With vegan, creative and classic standby flavors available youre sure to find something WOW like pistachio apricot or chocolate peanut butter cup. Dont forget to add your favorite toppings as well. The staff is pleasant with strong arm muscles and the bathrooms and footprint are always clean! Come sit a spell out in the yard or enjoy the super duper air conditioning!

Its hit or miss with this place when it comes to flavors and selection. They dont have every flavor available all the time and this last time we went they didnt have any chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or their signature skittles flavor that I love. Everything they had was a unique created flavor that I didnt care for and I brought 6 kids with me that are picky and didnt like them either. We did find Cookie Monster that was pretty good though. Also they were out of cones. They said they had a busy weekend so were out of a lot of basic flavors but it wasnt even spring yet so I can imagine how itll be in the summer. I have been here before and they had all flavors available and when thats the case its great, problem is you never know what they will have on the menu at any givin time. They have plenty of parking but its in a hard to get to location with no dedicated turning lane at a busy intersection. And the entrance in a very narrow road going up at a very sharp angle because its up on a hill so big vehicles have a hard time squeezing in. Also both the entrance and exit roads(theyre separate) have a rough transition from steep slope to the level main road that will cause cars lower to the ground or scrape. My Dart scraped and its at stock height while my SUV had trouble squeezing through the narrow entrance(we took both cars cause we had so many kids with us). So overall the ice cream is good, if they have what youre looking for at that particular time, and flavors change throughout the day. So I have had really great experiences there with nice helpful employees and also not so great ones with uninterested employees not explaining the flavors. Hence is why Im giving it an average score.

Lazy Cow is amazing!!! We exclusively go here for ice cream since discovering it a year or so ago. They have amazing, unique flavors and I love how they really strive to cater to guests who have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies!!! We take everyone here when they are visiting Cookeville and they all absolutely love it. 😊

I was there last weekend, and not only was it a nice atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some ice cream, the ice cream is really good. The waffle cones are huge, the staff were very nice. And the scoops are Huge. Overall definitely worth the price imo

Their ice cream is made in house and absolutely out of this world. They have all kinds of options for scoops, sundaes, cookies, milkshakes, and even off dairy free products as well.

Was passing thru on the way back to Nashville from Knoxville. Had an urge for ice cream. Googled ice cream and they were on the list. This place is great and has a very good variety of flavors. We were not disappoint. Kids love it. Definitely will be a returning customer.

Excellent service and shakes

If you want high quality ice cream, this is where you go. The seasonal selection is amazing and I love the ability to buy a tub or pint of the ice cream you love. The staff was very nice and was happy to provide samples, when asked about a peanut free option the staff was quick to open a new tub and use a brand new scooper to prevent an allergy attack. I will be coming back for sure and have already told close friends about it.

We moved here recently and just got the chance to try this place out. We will definitely be back. It was really great. The four of us each got something different and traded a bite. all of us liked all the flavors. Also loved that they had multiple vegan options as well as allergy labels for each item. They also got two kinds of waffle cones! Will be treating family and friends to this place when they visit as well.
