The vacuum that I have and love stopped working! I feel so luck that I found Gator Vacuum. My vacuum is not a common brand, but they were familiar with it and was able to bring it back to life and make it like new again. They were polite, knowledgeable, and helpful (something not common in south Florida). I would recommend them to anyone that either needs their vacuum repaired or if you want to upgrade to something better that will last a long time.

No questions asked--they took care of the repair the same day (and with no fee). We were delighted with the initial purchase experience and remain equally thrilled with the superior and friendly service! I feel confident there is no better place than the family-owned Gator Vacuum & Sewing for central vac needs.

We went in the shop with a bunch of questions about central vac systems. The staff there were extremely helpful and answered all our questions. Once we made a decision on which central vacuum system we wanted to replace the 50 year old system in our house, they helped us to determine correct size, correct accessories and they also offered a very reasonable installation option that we just completed (only 2 days later and could have been same day if wed gotten there earlier in the day). The installation guy messaged before arrival, showed up on time and did a great job with the installation and checked out existing pipes to make sure no clogs. He also explained how to use the accessories with no sense of having to get out of there too quickly. The whole experience easy and pleasant. Would recommend Gator Vacuum for any vacuum needs.

I have been so appalled with my experience that I am just now getting around to processing it. Robert Buckwald, you are a clown. The dictionary describes rude as offensively impolite or ill-mannered. That barely scratches the surface of the way you treat your customers. In the middle of a pandemic where thousands of people are dying daily this man has the audacity to tell me that they dont help customers over the phone and that I am wasting his time. I called Robert at Gator Vacuum, because my clients 21 year old Beam central vacuum had started to develop problems and lacked its former power.Robert, form Gator, within two days, sent his tech, Benjamin, to replace the unit.The unit was located in a condominium utility closet, behind two HVAC air handlers, and was extremely difficult to reach.Benjamin was able to squeeze into that space, remove the defective unit, and replace it with a new, improved, Beam unit.Although it was a difficult process, Benjamin accepted it as a challenge, squeezed into that space and performed a flawless exchange ... Robert and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and easy to deal with. They go above and beyond, especially during recent COVID times. If you buy a high end machine, get the maintenance plan and bring it in for service. Its totally worth it to extend the life of your vacuum!

1) Gator Vacuum is the BEST- they gave us pros and cons of each vacuum and was very patient with us as we tried to decide. I have used them in the past to repair my vacuum and really liked them, but never bought there before- I dont think I will be buying from anywhere else from now on.2) But with my new Miele (Complete C3 Home Care) I probably wont have to buy another vacuum. It is well worth the price! Being older the problem I have had with the Shark and the Hoover is the weight to lift it and the effort of the back and forth motion to vacuum. OK- I dont vacuum a lot because it has always been a pain. I admit I have only had it 5 days but I have now vacuumed EVERY day (even after work) and what a breeze it is. No more pain in my elbow. I got the canister and I am now ready to throw out my Shark and Hoover. The suction is great, I never have to stoop over to adjust anything.. The attachments are a breeze to put on and off. I have used it over my head and under the couch. I also like the fact that there are like 10 levels of suction so when I go from one floor depth to another I just touch the up/down suction with my toe and it changes.I could go on and on but I wont- this is Scotts wife Connie

Gator did a wonderful job repairing my Singer 401 sewing machine. I have had it for 50 yrs and it has never sewn this well. When I took it in to them it was sewing, but very badly and made a lot of noise. They checked it out, called me with an estimate and had it back to me in a very short period of time. It now runs smooth and I can barely hear it when it is stitching. Thank you Gator for making my Singer run like new again.

We took our 30 y/o Electrolux to get the switch fixed. They not only fixed it; they also tuned it up & put in a new bag & filter. They were very hospitable. After working many years in restaurant hospitality, it was great to know that some places still know & understand value of great customer service. I will gladly visit them again.

We’ve been satisfied customers for a very long time. Not once were we disappointed at their caring, honesty and reasonably priced services. They never fail to exceed our expectations. They cheerfully accommodate every need. We tested them, unconsciously, this last time on 7/8/21 when we exceeded the 6 month interval for service and yet they accommodated us and covered it under our service agreement. They are the best and well worth the drive from Delray Beach. 5 stars are not enough.

Seems they pay big money on Google Ads. I dont know where those positive 5 stars come from, however they rely heavily on reviews. I strongly doubt on them. So please open your eyes widely open. Once you click on place order button on their website, you maybe the next victim. Basically they are just a small business also operate as thinkvacuums.com. That means they dont have free return policy and you need to pay for shipping from and to their shop, and a restocking fee. If you buy frequently from big company like Costco or Amazon, you will feel pain. Overall this is not a friendly business offering after-market alternative with poor quality.

I purchased a Miele vacuum here about a month ago and it has been amazing so far. Ive never owned a vacuum this great. I decided I needed to spend the extra money on a really good one because my toddler was recently diagnosed with asthma and having a vacuum that keeps the air around it clean was a must.The customer service was great and they put my order together very quickly. The gentleman who sold it to me is very knowledgeable and kind and helped educate me so that I could make the best decision for me. All of his accessory recommendations ended up being used every single time. I almost didnt buy them but wow Im so glad I did.

I brought in my Kenmore vacuum for service due to multiple issues such as plastic parts broken off, a part that holds the plug broken & rather smelly due to the fact that we have dogs. I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. Great attention to detail and my vacuum isn’t the only running and handling like new but it also smells like new! Give them a try- you won’t be disappointed. They even gave me a sticker on my vacuum to remind me when it’s due for service again (like getting your oil changed). My mom accidentally broke the trash container lid on her recently purchased Dyson vacuum, so I brought it into Gator Vacuum & Sewing Co hoping that it could be replaced. Im super thankful because upon arriving at the store, Robert took a quick look at the issue and said hed try to fix it for me. 6/26/2021. I called this afternoon to inquire if the shop would be willing to take a look at my sewing machine, as there is a broken mechanism with the feed teeth. Other repair places I had called refused to look at the machine, because it is so old, and they said parts were probably not available for repair.My husband easily took apart the machine to look at it but is not familiar with some of the mechanics of sewing machines, so before potentially causing any further damage, we decided to try calling another repair shop (this one).Robert answered the phone, and as I explained the situation, he not only questioned the decisions of other repair places to not even do a consultation (not my issue, and I can’t control their choices), but he also blatantly insulted my husband during the conversation saying, “He must not be that smart if he could take the machine apart but not fix it.”Uh, I’m sorry- what??No, that is not appropriate.I’m just a person trying to get help with a broken sewing machine. I’m not looking for trouble or to cause trouble, and I’m really not sure why Robert felt the need to continually make condescending remarks towards everyone who hasn’t succeeded in looking at or fixing the machine.What does making disparaging remarks about others have to do with his ability to take a look at the problem? How does it help anything?Answers: nothing, and it doesn’tBUT, it did reveal a very sour and arrogant attitude towards other people.Needless to say, we will not be bringing our business to Robert’s shop. Disappointing, for sure, but I’m glad to find out now, rather than later, how Robert treats people!He may be a professional in the sense that he gets paid for the work he does, but the manner in which conducted himself over the phone was anything but professional.

We have been coming to Gator Vacuum for 20+ years. We got our first Miele vacuum after we got tired of buying a new vacuum every couple years. I had never heard of Miele before, but Robert told me all the virtues of the brand explaining that these were practically indestructible. Well it lasted ! I moved to the area and needed my sewing machines sent in for their annual cleaning/servicing. Ive had one of the machines for 16 years with no issues. I go to this shop and they tell me something was wrong. Since I needed the machines to make masks, I said to fix it. When I picked up the machines, my total was $280!!! They never told me what was replaced not give me the defective piece, proving that it was replaced. Ive never in my life been charged so much for an annual visit.Ive been sewing for close to 50 years and never had service that I didnt receive the broken piece. Then I get the machines home and they both have a 2x4 label on them. Labels are hard to remove from older machine!!! No one asked. Then I go to see and they replaced my bobbin with a different kind and never told me about it. I called to discuss the bobbin and was told that my machines tension was adjusted with that bobbin and it works better. I asked about being advised when I picked up the machines? He told me (rudely) that he didnt need to. I told him that its the type of bobbins that I have and use. He said that he didnt care, its what he used the tension.Im really confused why they would change the bobbin and adjust the tension, that affects the entire working, without telling or discussing with the customer. Then being rude when questioned, meaning they really do know what they talk about.... which is what they said when they brought the machines in.So bummed that I found Cindys Fine Fabrics in Tamarack, who would have been able to service the machines.I will never go back to or recommend Gator Vacuum and Sewing Machine again.

Gator Vacuum did a fantastic job repairing my Miele vacuum. They charge 20.00 to diagnose the issue, then deduct it from the cost to repair. The vacuum was serviced, cleaned and done quickly. I purchased the machine from them probably 20 years ago, and they’ve kept it running for me ever since. I would definitely use them again!

I’m not sure who is running the show over there, but this gentleman should immediately be fired from his sales associate position. I routinely judge a business by their response to their 1-star reviews. If you need any indication of why NOT to do business with this company, simply look up the way the owner responds to customers who have a problem. He is abrasive, rude, condescending and an extremely poor example of a business owner, which is probably why Robert treated me the way he did (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree here apparently). I would never consider doing business with this company. I live 5 minutes away and Id rather spend $10,000 on new equipment than $100 to get something fixed here.Someone needs to teach this guy some customer service. Absolutely pathetic. This past weekend I needed a part for a central vacuum. The part was not expensive. I only had a credit card and a $100 bill so the owner just told me not to worry about it. Very Nice of them!

I called Think Vacuum on Monday. The lady said someone will call me tomorrow to schedule a service for my Central Vacuum. I didnt hear from anyone and was so busy that I completely forgot I didnt get a call back. I google another central vacuum repair near me. I found Gator. We talked a little bit and found out from Robert Think Vacuum and Gator Vacuum are the same company. I dont feel comfortable talking to Robert. I feel so much pressure from him. I also feel like he will not wants to fix, only want to sell you a new unit. My husband told me it is easy to put a new unit in. I dont need to deal with anyone. He order online. Before I call to cancelled my appointment for tomorrow evening. The lady called. I told her I need to cancel my appointment because my husband already ordered online. They got so mad at me. The lady said, you didnt call us. I told her I just came home and my husband texted me his orders number and that the unt will be arriving tomorrow. She got really mad, scolded my for not letting her knows. What.....s happened to these people??? The man came on the phone. Asking me to cancel my order because he would give me less expensive. I told him my husband ordered online, gave him the price and also told him my husband already left for his Thursday evening gathering. He said he would give me cheaper price so I can buy more shoes, and that we paid too much and if we have money to waste. He went on and on. Really insane!!I understand he wants our business but the way he talked turned me off. Gave me such a terrible impression. The feeling of mistrust. Im a very gentle person. Very straight forward. I just dont like the feeling of being under pressure.Good luck Gator. I hope you are better as communicate with your customer over the phone instead of giving them the feeling of you dont care to fix anything.

I hadn’t used my sewing machine in a few months and pulled it out to make some masks for the family. Halfway through the first mask, the machine quit and nothing I did would make it run again. It wasn’t a particularly expensive machine so I thought, “Why not buy a better one?” No machines under $1000 were available anywhere. I called Gator Vacuum & Sewing Co. They were so nice! They took my machine late on a Thursday afternoon and by Saturday morning, it was fixed! I picked it up and they made me promise to call them if there were a single issue with the machine! I will always be grateful that they fixed my machine during the COVID-19 crisis quickly. I will faithfully return next year for a tuneup. Would I recommend them? Without a doubt!

After moving into my home 4 months later due to construction, I discovered my central vacuum system was not working. And I was ready to start vacuuming. I called gator vacuum at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, and by 3 o’clock young man by the name of Benjamin showed up. He diagnosed the problem very thoroughly. He gave us our options, and we chose to put a new system in. He did it right on the spot! Ben was thorough, competent and a very nice young man! This company is excellent, as well as by the owner who made this happen for us! Thank you Bob and thank you Benjamin. Your service is excellent and you will always be in my back pocket!

Brought my Dyson in to see what the problem was and if it was worth repairing. We let them do the repairs and this thing is like brand new. Very happy with the outcome and repair.

Do not shop here. I went in with a singer embroidery machine after being told on the phone that they service them. Drove 20 miles there. When I got there I was told no they didnt fix any machine with a computer and no one does. Google and call places. Which is fine.But he started to walk away and I said, I have one more question. To which he mumbled under his breath, Oh good God. and rolled his eyes.If you want to be treated like garbage then shop here. If not, go somewhere else.

I live in west Pembroke Pines and chose Gator over the others based on reviews. Even though its a bit of a drive for me (passing up other closer repair shops) it was well worth it.My Dyson was in such bad shape (no suction, water damage, falling apart)I figured theyd take one look and tell me they couldnt fix it. Wrong. They confidently accepted it, called me within a day or two with the verdict and exact cost of repair. It was done soon after and works as good as it did on day one. Gator Rocks!!!
