Pretty cool little spot with a relaxed vibe and some comfy chairs in downtown Cornelius. The cappuccino was tasty, just really small since I’m a coffee guzzler. 🤣

They do the best Ive ever seen at being a bar, casual restaurant, coffee shop and breakfast spot. Outstanding job of preserving a classic old building, right down to the antique doors. And, it serves local craft coffee and beer.

Went here for the Thinkin and Drinkin trivia night. They offer tons of great beers on draft and the host for the trivia is a lot of fun. Its a very cozy yet comfortable little place and I would highly recommend it anyone!

Public Grounds is my favorite coffee shop in town! Prices are great and the drinks are unique & tasty! The employees are friendly and very helpful, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Never had a bad experience!

Young lady working did not greet us when we entered to order. She acted as if our party was not there at all. Five minutes of watching her unbox things later, clearly her friend walked up and asked her to dump two coffees before asking her to make another drink. After another five minutes of watching her make this drink, her friend and her began to chat, completely ignoring us the entire time!! We ended up walking out and she did not say a word. Love the coffee and service usually but today, when we had family in town and wanted to show them off the lack of service was absolutely horrendous. Extremely dissappointed.

Came to see Major Dudes band. Good show. Fun crowd. Didnt get the bartenders name, but she did a great job and was friendly and upbeat throughout the night!

Just moved to Cornelius and was so excited to find this gem. The coffee is amazing. You can say so much about a place based on a good drip coffee and a regular latte. As a bonus, they are dog friendly so I can pop in after a run with my dog and get coffee on my walk home which is absolutely perfect.

The place has such a warm and welcoming vibe!! I stopped in to finish an important project for work. All the baristas were super sweet and helped me select the best latte for my current mood and it was DELISH! Coffee is like fuel for productivity and Public Grounds is the space that adds that extra bit of heart for the best possible outcome! I got my project sent in by deadline and it was very well received. Must have been that brew!! ;)

Public Grounds is one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and do homework when I am home from college. I love their seasonal menu with unique drinks and fresh bakery items. My go-to order is an oat milk latte (basic), but I love to mix it up with their organic and responsibly-sourced Holy Krakow flavors. A must-try for all coffee lovers!

Stopped here for a beer and dinner from the food truck. Always a great place to try random beers from NC and try one of the many different food trucks that they host here.

Fantastic coffee... fresh and delicious. Every single time. Much better than those chain places. And their specialty coffees are on point! Wish I could drink them all day... though if I did, I would have to fill out a review for the hospital and I don’t want to do that.

This is my go-to place for coffee in the morning. Great place to bring a laptop and get some work done. Free wi-fi!! They also have fresh bagels from Bagel Bin and pastries from a local bakery. Oh and the coffee is great! It’s from local roaster Black Powder in Mooresville. Can’t miss with this place!

I like that they source locally roasted coffee beans, and Im impressed with their specialty teas. I really love the cozy, intimate space, whether Im meeting with friends or writing my screenplay. (Great window-side tables and couches too.) And their baristas are super helpful and friendly!

Great service, baristas were knowledgeable and welcoming. My Mexican mocha was great. I also grabbed a bag of their public grounds blend which turned out great for a French press. Definitely will be back!

I love this locally owned coffee shop! It is a comfortable place to hang out with my friends in the morning. The fresh brewed Public House brand of coffee is very smooth very flavorful and my favorite here in Cornelius. If I want something else I will usually get the hot tee or Kombucha but there are more drinks to choose from. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend stopping in the next time you want to start your day off right with some great coffee in a relaxing place.

The best coffee!!! I am obsessed with their oat milk lattes - regular, lavender, you name it! I love them!! When I have friends and family in town, it’s my favorite place to bring them and everyone is always equally impressed! Public grounds is my favorite spot to enjoy coffee in this area. The vibe is comfy and subdued to get some work done and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Never had a coffee drink I didn’t like here.

The barista’s are simply delightful and full of knowledge on beans, drinks, and teas. It’s always an adventure there on Thursday evenings. The sound quality and talented musicians make this place an easy 5 star!

A wonderful spot, with coffee and espresso as good as the atmosphere. One note, the cafe is listed as opening at 8 a.m. on Google Maps. Arrived there at 9 this morning to find they actually open at 10 a.m. on Sundays. No big deal, as they’re worth the wait.

The BEST local coffee shop in the area by far! Their espresso is delicious and the drip coffee is always fresh. It never taste burnt like some other local places. . .the batistas are knowledgeable and friendly. When unsure of what to order they can whip you something delicious to drink. I love this place! They have a great assortment of coffee and other beverages (and thank you for the dairy-free milk options!) The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy without being stuffy. It is walking distance to other great points in Old Town Cornelius and easy to reach by car. I used the curbside coffee service by ordering ahead on their partner app, Cloosiv. Had my coffee within seconds of driving up. They walked it right to my car and it was delicious! Love this spot!

Public Grounds Coffee is a special place to me. I met a client here for the first time a few years ago. I followed that up with more client meetings. I received feedback on what a nice choice PG Coffee is. Social gatherings happened down the road and it eventually turned into another home for me. Personally I have some very special and strong memories here. Public Grounds Coffee is your local Cheers for coffee. Everyone is at home here. I cannot recommend PGC enough. Give it a try. Great Coffee - Great Coffeehouse!I can get coffee from about 15 places in Cornelius, but none of them have the atmosphere that Public Grounds has. The coffee is delicious and the selection is wide, without the clutter of frappa-mocha-blah-blah-blah. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The breakfast pastries are delicious. The music is relaxing.A great place to enjoy some great coffee!

Public Grounds Coffee is my favorite place for coffee locally! Waaaaaaay better than chain places. .Honestly, I think PG coffee is under rated and a gem hiding in the heart of OTC. Watch out Summit and Waterbean theres a new coffee shop picking up steam! Their beans are locally sourced from Black Powder. The barista are friendly and knowledgeable about coffee drinks without making you feel dumb. They offer an array of flavors and non dairy milk options. Their signature drinks are the bomb! Lavender Vanilla latte! Yum! Theyre dog friendly!❤ and have a cozy welcoming atmosphere. Definitely my fave hangout spot!😊

PGC is a fantastic coffee spot for many reasons. Their Old Town Cornelius location is super convenient with plenty of parking. The staff and baristas are incredibly welcoming and attentive. Atmosphere wise, its low-key and calm, making it perfect for a quite convo with a friend, or getting some work done as well. Lastly, the coffee, the most important part is EXCELLENT. PCG grinds Black Powder Coffee, whos local to Mooresville, and the selection is wide. If you are looking for a sweet spot to hang out and chill with great coffee, this is it!!!
