Was much more impressed by Tanners Auto Service. Tanners has a smaller building but they still have a waiting room. Here the waiting room is open so I had to listen to every word said by lady who answered the phones. I guess she might be owners daughter?? Whoever she was she wasnt professional. Didnt seem like they wanted my business. Woman on phone told me I had to get there in under 7 minutes for them to do an inspection. I guess she was joking but she said it more than once and it was a put off.I knew that I needed new tires put on but they passed my inspection without saying or recommending anything or saying I need new tires. No mechanic came to talk to me. The woman at the desk told me everything and got annoyed when I asked a few questions. It was like she was hanging out in her living-room and not at a professional business setting.Also the women who check you out in convenience store arent very nice either.

I was quoted $552 by the owners daughter for service that needed to be done, then when things were all taken part she calls me and says that the service will cost $705 because she quoted me wrong on the main part involved with the job. When I spoke with her about large discrepancy in price she arrogantly said it is what it is. Now I take my vehicles somewhere else because at $800 I could have gotten the job done with original brand name parts.

My family usually directs all of our automotive services to Blacks. Its nice to be a familiar face in a familiar place, and I always feel fairly treated. More than that, my wife and daughter never feel railroaded or taken advantage of if they bring vehicles down themselves. Theyll also diagnose problems for me, so I can decide if its within my skill set to repair myself. The quick lube is also convenient

This is in my opinion the best auto repair shop in town. They are very accommodating and will get your vehicle in fast, and work done in a timely manner. Prices are fair for the work thats offered. The quick lube is really convenient they offer student and senior discounts on certain days of the week. The shop and quick lube are always clean, and the techs are very knowledgeable. They never do any work without letting you know first. This isnt like other shops where they sell you on things you dont need done, or try and trick you into getting extra work done that isnt needed. I highly recommend this auto repair shop to anyone who needs anything from a simple inspection or oil change, or the more complicated motor vehicle repairs.

Morbidly obese lady in crocs stood at the counter buying gallons of milk and other stuff and the staff didnt say anything about her lack of mask. And theyve already been on notice from the county after people tested positive and reported the place as a stop.

I am new to the area and had some trouble booking appointments at other local service stations. I called in the morning to book something and had my car there 2 hours later. They were quick and upfront about everything and I was out the door happier than I was when I walked in. I was pleased with the service and the recommendation. I found myself a new shop for where my abilities end.

The mechanic I had working on my car was nice enough and we had some decent conversation while he changed my oil, but he also didnt screw the nut into my oil pan tightly enough and I was leaking oil for a while. Luckily my car didnt break down as I specifically told him I was in the middle of a cross country road trip and needed my car to be in top condition so I wouldnt get stranded in the middle of nowhere with no transportation. Hopefully those things will be paid more attention to in the future.

This is a family owned business who does their best and is always fair. Ive brought my car & my wifes car there many times. My wife has been using them her entire life (30+). They frequently get us in last minute and often turn around the vehicle before lunch.

I was not happy with the service.. they charged me 43$ to inspect my car before i went through inspection and failed. They did not mention my reverse lights which I knew were not there. so I am wondering why i have to pay 43$ for them to plug a machine into my car and read from a screen when 4 other mechanics charged me nothing. Then the women in the front were somewhat helpful but not very friendly. I WILL NOT BE GETTING MY CAR FIXED THERE

Excellent service and a good place to get a state inspection done.

You know I use to get my oil changed here for about $69.99. Today I went in and it cost me about $140 dollars. The worker was good, but he shocked me with the price. He told me the owner said the price of diesel stuff went up. I called Monroe Muffler and they said it would cost me for 10 quarts of oil Rotella T only $49.99 I cant believe the highway robbery here. I will never go back to this auto service center again unless they bring the prices down for an oil change.

Blacks auto is dishonest way over priced and the staff is either a Young teenager someone who is Unknowledgeable or someone who is rude! They wouldn’t tell me what they fixed on my car. They told me they fixed my car and the check engine light is still on after going there 5 or more times in a month. They just cleared the codes and said it was fixed. Waste of time! .

Ive been to blacks twice now for the quik lube oil change service and both times it was a great experience. It takes about 7 minutes to get an oil change and I didnt have to get out of my car. George is the man!

I used this auto shop because it was close to work. I also heard that the service is usually okay because they would hate to mess up CorNing Incorporated business. Well, they didnt mind messing me up. I paid a good chunk of money for them to switch out my starter. A few months after they changed it, it went bad. I took it to them since they fixed it the first time. Turns out the starter had come loose. Infact the girl in the store said it had been yanked out. How could the hood of car parked for a few minutes with security alarms and all, magically open up, remove its own engine cover (Acura) and expose itself enough to have its starter yanked out. This was the story the girl in the shop told me rather than accepting blame for sloppy work. To make matters worse, after service, my car was parked right on the curb with one of my tires pressed hard against the curb. To this, she said sorry. I informed the owners by email with pictures of everything. They have not responded till date. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Blacks Auto. The 4 years of my service meant nothing to them. Id recommend you find another shop for your auto service. Or get ready for your car to stop on your way to an important meeting.
