They are completely out of whole entire uniform sets. I get a different excuse from each employee that works there and nobody is on the same page. There are different items in different rows and a location do not match where they should be, as in khaki uniforms for E7 and above should not be in the E1 2 e6 area. It is very confusing looking for black pants and pick up a uniform item that isnt even for my pay grade that is double the price for almost no reason. It would be nice if the employees would properly inventory and stock items where they should be and if they are misplaced they should pay more attention to the current location of where the items are instead of just hiding in the back in the stocking or employee areas.
Some employees said they needed garments dry cleaned before alterations could be made, whereas my visit before a different employee said that wasnt required. No consistency. Asked about which CDC guidelines she said she was following and got no answer. Alterations on a previous visit also fell out with a few wears. Not coming back here. Learning to do it myself.
Employees are very nice. Did a quick uniform alteration on the spot. Very thankful.
This location makes it easy and quick to pick up items when youre in a hurry. Very clean and organized all the time and staff is helpful and friendly.
The lady in here that helped us was amazing. We needed to make a shadow box full of medals and ribbons for my Brothers funeral. She helped us find everything. Thank you
Just left the shop. Three employees walked by me before the fourth asked me what I needed. I told him I needed a patch sewn on, but then he refused because my clothes werent freshly dry cleaned. Im just gonna take them to someone out in town. That combined with the guy just having a mean attitude is enough for me to never come back. Very unprofessional. Ive never delt with people like this at a Navy Exchange.
Military uniform shop
Very helpful and gave me a great turnaround on alterations!
It’s my first time visit this store because of the high rank reviews. But it was an horrible experience. Poor and unprofessional customer service. It’s difficult to find things I need. Most products are unavailable. I would never go back!
They dont always have uniforms in stock for enlisted. Especially when inspections are coming up. Love the variety with great choices of food and drinks to pick from. They provide all of the essential needs if you arent looking to walk all the way to the nex.
Took me a little while to find it, but they sewed the tab on my fleece within minutes of purchasing. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Better inside than it looks like itd be.
Its your standard uniform shop with modified hours Mon-Sat opens at 0800, NOT 0700. building is getting renovated but they still have all uniform elements. Staff is friendly.
I bought a set of type III and dropped it off on the 31st. Was told by the clerk that my uniform would be ready on the 2nd. I gave it an extra day and came by today which is the 3rd. After pacing around the shop for 10 minutes with the original receipt in hand, the clerk today who was exceptionally rude, explained to me that it was still on the rack meaning my name tapes were not sewn on yet. Which would be fine, had I known they wouldn’t be ready on the date I was given, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE TAKEN MY UNIFORM ITEMS ELSEWHERE. I don’t live on base or even around the corner. I even gave it an extra day. The level of customer service is just absolute trash. I was then told rather gruffly to return in an hour. Will never use this uniform shop again and highly recommend that if you need name tapes or patches sewn on, to GO ELSEWHERE.
Excellent customer service! The staff that work here are very friendly, and extremely helpful. They are even able to make sure that on short notice, your uniforms will be tailored and ready for you. Words cant express how well the people at the NEX uniform shop work together, and make shopping there a breeze!
The visit was great!
Went in for boots, large selection of items to include newly released uniform items. Very nice and conveniently located near the pier.
Compared to 32nd this place need lot of love.
Out of boots when I went
Its a uniform and a small convience stores wrapped into one. One stop shop!
Always helpful and very friendly staff. Well-stocked. Found what I needed quickly and was a very efficient stop.
Very well stocked though prices could be more affordable friendly staff
Needs new building
Smaller shop sometimes sold out of the less common items. Dont wait until the day of inspection to stop by and expect to get what you need. But all around its a good store.
Quick service. Very helpful
Horrible customer service.
Stocked pretty well, usually have everything you will need here, and friendly staff.
They have almost all the uniform items you could want though some of the placement of things dont make sense. Most of the staff were friendly some werent.
Selection is good but the lines are long and take forever.
They have all of the uniform items that youll need. But dont go to them for sewing any patches on, they quoted me a 30 day turn around time
The location was in an old warehouse or something. It was just dismal and it didnt have the item I was looking for. One is better off just going to the 32nd St shop.
Has everything the active duty Sailor needs. Good for retirees as well.
Extremely helpful! Ill come back anyday
Helpfull service. But slow if you need uniform alterations.
Everytime I chose to go there it is a swarm of people with the same thought. And do they accommodate by having multiple check outs NO. I have been there when all the chief selects were getting all of their uniforms and i jusy needed to buy 1 simple ribbon for a dollar the only reason i wasnt in line for 3+ hours waiting is because a nice master cheif let me go ahead of everyone. 2 registars and only 1 was open moving at the slowest pace. I woild give them 1 star but i gave them 2 because i wont lie if you catch them on a good day theu are friendly any other day i get nervous to aska question.
So Im an E-2 and I have a uniform inspection coming up. I go in and get my Rate badge put on. So Im an E2 and have no idea that they are suppose to cut the E3 one. So I ask them what Im suppose to do, they tell me to get a seperation one for my rate and rank and they can stitch them both on. They were completely wrong. I took a big hit at inspection. When I took it there to be corrected they charged me to correct there mistake. Then she took my Ribbons off my dress white (which was my fault for forgetting to take it off) but she dropped one of my pieces that pin it on and charged me for a new one.
Done fast if you pay extra. Great customer service as well!
Workers are not helpful.Update two years later. This place still sucks, specially when a junior sailor calls saying a lady that is supposed to help her, made her cry in the dressing area by being mean. Someone needs to get fired.
They have everything you need for all of your Uniforms, all of them - except Nwu (Blueberrys) because theyre phasing out.
Those Rating Belt Buckles are dumb expensive. They cost $22 as a stand alone...Like why....?
Excelente service. Great atmosphere
Less than one star. Poor selection of combat boots. No one 0n the sales floor. Hot and humid inside
The store is always stocked, but whenever theres a line, it takes forever.
Place has everything you need. The cashiers just dont care that you have somewhere to go. Thats the only negative.
They dont sell boot laces. Really?
This uniform shop never has SW rating badges for some reason and they always give an attitude when I ask about it.
Bought a rocker and a name badge for FRV. Takes 15 days. Seems excessive.
Great selection friendly people
The main register is always shut down when its busy.
Great service!
Worst place to get anything sewn on.
Terrible service, 14 days to get my rocker on
Great range
Great shop
Quick shopping
Helpful staff
