The hazelnut tasted exactly like authentic Italian gelato. The lemon was as extremely good. The sizing may be a bit deceiving (in a good way). Because they’re not scoops they don’t just plop into the cup. You might end up with more than expected if you opt for the large.

We came on a Sunday around noon so there was absolutely no parking along Orange and there was traffic. We found a spot across the street near Vons.This place has so many flavors I didn’t know what to get. Too bad no more samples due to COVID so I just went with my top go-to flavors. Coffee, Mint, Pistachio, and stracciatella inside a small cup.I needed a lid for the car ride. She stacked the small cup inside the large cup size then slapped on a lid. She also offered an ice bag to keep it cool. Thank you!Ate it when I got home and it’s so soft and creamy. Reminded me of gelato in Italy at every street corner! The coffee could be more distinct but the other three flavors were right on.

Best Gelatos in Coronado! Authentic Italian gelato since 1999! All flavors, I highly recommend the pistachio!! Vanilla in an ice cream cone is also one of my husband’s favorites!! Try them!

A treasure trove of a taste on Coronado Island. We will return for another cool treat on our next urban hike to the stunning beaches adjacent to the Hotel Del Coronado.

Fair pricing and super creamy gelato. We will for sure come back. She said they are going to have summer flavors starting next month so we will for sure be coming back for that

IMHO one of the best, if not thee best Gelato place in the San Diego metropolitan area. Great selection, lots of awesome flavors, and theyll even give you 4 flavors in their smallest cup size cup. I always enjoy their wonderful dessert.

Gelato paradiso has very unique flavors. I could not believe that you could fit up to 5 flavors in a small. The cookies and cream one was very yummy.

If anyone still cares about being safe from covid, i wouldnt go here. The gelato is lovely, but they havent held fast to their posted mask protocol for months now. I almost went in April and saw many unmasked patrons in the shoppe. I was also appalled at one sever who did happened to be wearing a mask pull her mask down, stand there in there serving area and eat some of their fresh made waffle cone. She then proceeded to pull her mask up and serve people, no handwashing in between.

Absolutely love this place! Phenomenal flavors, really well made. You can tell they use real flavors for their gelatos i.e., actual strawberries for the strawberry gelato. If youre in Coronado and youre feeling some ice cream (gelato) this place is an absolute must!

The 3 stars are because the gelatos pretty good. But what’s with the way you scoop it? Why do you leave half the top empty? I asked the guy and he said something to do with having multiple flavors but we had all chocolate and still the same thing. It just seems kinda skimpy. Who leaves half the other side of the ice cream empty?

Servings were huge! and the gelato was bland. I got mint chocolate chip and sweet cream caramel. Talenti is beter :(

Gelato is good but when a cone with 2 scoops is bigger than a cone with 3 scoops theres a problem. Plus when you question that and find out the 3 scoops were half a normal scoop and then given some bs reason why, that makes no since at all, really just ruins it for you. Stop being so dam stingy and give normal scoops.

Very nice ice cream shop with excellent and courteous staff. The ice cream is thick, creamy and full of flavor. The prices are extremely reasonable and you really get a lot of ice cream in each cup. The Dolce Le Leche was fantastic. You definitely have to go if you are visiting Coronado.

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!!We couldnt help but try half the flavors here. In my opinion this location is better than Nado Gelato further down the street, though they are both amazing in their own way. This location has simple flavors that are done ridiculously well.I ended up going with the chocolate. I never ever order chocolate ice cream but this place makes it so good. The pistachio was also amazing!

Ive never stopped into an ice cream shop during busy season craziness and been treated with such great customer service. The team was eager to serve my family and didnt get irritated with my husband or 4yo wanting to try ten different flavors. Thanks!

Dark chocolate is the best

The quality was phenomenal, the store was clean, bright and fresh, and the staff were friendly, energetic and reflected a happy atmosphere. Judging by the amount of people that were out front and flowing thru, Id say there were a lot of others that shared my experience. I highly recommend that you not pass on an opportunity to enjoy Gelato Paradiso when your in Coronado.

Whatever else you do, do NOT miss stopping at Gelato Paradiso. This is the real deal. Ive eaten a lot of gelato here and in Italy and this is as good as it gets. If you want a totally new taste experience, try the chocolate sorbet. The taste and mouth feel is dark, rich creamy chocolate. Its amazing. And dont miss watching them make the gelato. Yes, its all really made right there!

Yum! 1st time customer on the day of the 20th Anniversary celebration...free cones or cups! They gave everyone a free waffle cone with a scoop of your choice. I had the dark chocolate hazlenut! YUM! So creamy and delish. The wafflecone was crisp and tasty. Lota of flavors to choose from. Cant wait to go back and try another...probably salted caramel😊
