This place sure did lose its integrity, respect and loyalty since changing names from The Pedal to what it is now. I went in for a simple rear tire flat repair today in which I new the tube either needed to be replaced or patched as I have done many times with my other bike in the past there. The young kid with curly hair that was assisting me immediately told me I needed a tire also because the bead around the tire was damaged. I shared and pointed out that the bead was not damaged as he said but it had a discoloration of rust and probably due to sitting in my garage. I told him the tire was fine I just need tire repair in which he stated he wouldnt do. Seems to me that if there hard up for business and new customers they should not try and sell up or recommend products a customer does not need. I do not recommend....BTW...I wouldnt have given any stars but unless I select at least one star then this comment wouldnt allow me to select the POST button....NO STARS GIVEN!!!!

Every experience I’ve had has been fantastic. Staff is super knowledgable and friendly. Scott in particular has been a huge help - tons of great advice and you can tell he’s super passionate about what he does

I’m disappointed with bicycle world rgv Corpus Christi, for the amount of money (300$) that I spent with them they’ve could of had the courtesy to clean my bike. I felt like they just wanted to fix my bike and get me out of there, when I originally took it there I asked the guy if he could look at my cat eye( I know it’s old-school compared to what they have now) but he didn’t even bother he just tried to sell me something new. Won’t be going back there. 👎

Had a great experience here as a first time buyer, staff was very helpful. The employee that assisted me was Scott, he was very knowlegeable and helped tremendously when trying to understand frame sizes and geometries of various bikes. I settled on a Scott Aspect 950 and couldnt be happier.

Imagine how much business you loose on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis when a customer comes into your store to purchase products and your personnel hangout in the back or at the counter ignoring the customer? Today, I wanted tires, stood at the display looking for my size and was completely ignored for like 3-5 mins in an empty store! I just spent $130 ordering 2 tires online, 😞

Learned about bikes and sidewalks and more concerning safety issues.... actually took the time to look at their bikes and Ill probably go back for sure if I decide to get a tricycle...they have some nice ones....

Randy helped me to rebuild a bicycle and was very helpful and professional throughout the whole process. The owner is a triathlete and very interested in his store. All the employees have always treated me kind and have been helpful. I have been going to this store since 1977, when it was The Pedal.

I went to RGV Bike World to get a new rotor installed and to check my brakes. They installed the rotor for me for free, which I am thankful for. However, they held my bike for 2 weeks to check the brakes when it was initally supposed to take 3-days max. I called several times and even came in to the store, there was no progress at all. After 2 weeks, I called and they said the bike has BEEN ready. I asked what was done to the bike, they said the rotor was installed and the brakes were not fixed or checked. I get to the business to pick up my bike, and they tell me the brakes have been checked and fixed. They asked me to pay for the brakes being fixed, which I have no problem doing.. but dont do something without asking. This lack of communication is not suitable for my business, so I will be taking it elsewhere. I ended up paying a discounted rate on my brakes, which I felt was a compromise. The mediating price does not remove the feelings I have towards this experience.

Went in for a replacement tube got exactly what I needed. The person helping was extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered a Bike from another website and it came in really beat up almost look used. Will never make that mistake again as I learned they can order pretty much anything I want from my 2 favorite bike companies. Don’t risk it online shop local so you can see what you are spending your hard earned money on. Will definitely be returning in the future.Side note not related to the review it’s nice to some familiar faces still working there even after the ownership change. Used to shop there as a kid and recognized a couple of them.

No customer service skills, extremely rude at the fact that we were there to purchase a part and were not familiar with how exactly to repair it.

The staff there is absolutely professional very very helpful very knowledgeable I wont take my bike anywhere but there. The guys are absolutely great.

This place is awesome, got my cassette, chain, front derailleur cable replaced and every thing dialed in to perfection. Got my bike back within 3 days, took it for a test ride it ran beyond my expectations on top of it the bill was unbelievable reasonable. I hope they will stay in Corpus Christi for a long time to come. Told several of my riding buddies about my experience and one already said he would bring his bike in next week. I will not tell you how much the other shop in Corpus wanted for the same job but it was a lot more.

EXCELLENT service. So helpful and super speedy repair. Thats saying a lot since they dont even sell Marin bikes, which is what I needed fixed (back wheel replaced due to broken spokes). All the employees were nice. Kudos to Lee for getting that wheel including, gears and disc brake, repaired in 10 minutes.

Took my bike in for an overhaul. Scott was very thorough in recommending and explaining what needed to be taken care of. I was given several options to choose from and the end product was affordable and awesome. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful.

Im a new Bike owner! never had a bike. Im not a licensed driver just yet, so my bike is how I get around. I experienced a flat tire and when I went to add air, I added too much! and my tire came out of place! I freaked out because I was stuck at a Stripes and the bike wouldnt move. I gave this business a quick call and they helped me step by step! Great service here and knowledge. Super nice rep helped me out. I am very grateful. IllI be going here for my bike needs!

I recently went to the Pedal Shop looking for a bicycle and shortly after my family and I walked through the door we were greeted by Sam the owner. He took very good care of us and fitted my little boy with a helmet and found what size bicycle would best fit me. It had been a long time since I had been to a bike shop and it was nothing less than what I would expect. A knowledgeable and friendly staff including Lee who showed me how to use my new bike with all of the new bells and whistles that I had never seen before. I saw many people bring many different bikes into the shop and I listened to the staff explain what they could do to fix each problem but not once during my three visits there so far did I hear anyone try to sell a bicycle to someone that came in for a repair.

Bought a custom S-Works Venge from these guys back in 2012 and from the ordering process to assembly, they were always extremely helpful and up front with the process. On multiple occasions they invited me back to the workshop to show me the bike throughout the whole project and I always felt reassured by their professional knowledge. The bike has thousands of miles on it now and is still going strong. Great shop.

My wife and I just recently entered the mtb world. We were having a nightmare with so called bike techs and with other salesmen from other bike shops. Bought bikes but had to return them do to lack of performance and not being properly assembled. Stopped in here and Ernie turned our nightmare into a daydream. We left there with two new bikes and fully satisfied with performance and assembly. Hands down the place to go in corpus for all your bike needs.

They were amazing help when selecting a new bike. They spent hours helping me pick the right bike. Once you purchase a bike they also provide a free fit to the bike so its as comfortable as possible. I will definitely be going back!

I brought my single speed cruiser in for a tune up and adjustment. I ordered all the parts and wanted a professional to do the final adjustments to be safe for the road.The first time I picked up my bike, they installed the brakes incorrectly, and I had to switch to disc brakes instead of V brakes. After they talked me out of getting disc brakes in the first place.After the brakes were replaced and I picked up my bike, the spring suspension was damaged, and missing parts that were there when I dropped it off. And the pedal fell off while I rode it home. I returned the bike AGAIN and had them replace the parts they lost, and reattatch the pedal that fell off.After another WEEK passed, I picked up my bike and THOUGHT everything was fixed.After riding less than 10 miles the same pedal fell off AGAIN.I want my $180 back.

I needed a new inner tube, so I took my bike tire over to The Pedal because I think its locally owned. The man behind the counter helped me immediately. After spending fewer than 5 minutes and less than 20 dollars, the new inner tube was installed, and I was on my way. Awesome experience.

Took my 29er in for some brake work after making an appointment the previous week. They were done in 30 minutes and it cost under $15 for the service. I watched the whole process and they were both professional and courteous to me and my bike. Will return for any service I dont feel too confident doing myself.

Knowledgable staff, some guys better than others. Nice bikes althoug Id like to see more kid specific brands in bike shops. But thats just industry practice. They have OM Flyers, SE 24 BMX, pleanty of Sundays and tons of Specialized.

Despite what Google says The Pedal is open from 9am - 7pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday. Lots of sales going on now and a huge selection of bicycles and accessories. Awesome shop, you wont be disappointed.

I kinda hate going here, needed to get some pedals replaced. nobody says anything when you walk in, no body. one guy was just staring at a chain breaker for a while as I was standing at the counter. had to do all the work myself, the guy I talked to didnt seem to know much about bikes and kinda acted confused about everything, I said whats up to the guys in the back not one of them said anything or acknowledged (which I dont mind). uncomfortable vibes like that one guy said felt unwelcome, no pride in their work space everything was a mess kind what I was expecting. terrible seeing this from my home town and bike shop thats been around for years. I dont know how you could have good service here unless you personally know one of them or if you walk in with a child. another time one of the guys charged me five dollars just to put a chain on which I dont think is standard when you purchase a chain

Fast & Friendly Service

My experience at the Pedal was very disappointing. I simply wanted to get my Schwinn Road Bike fixed but the old man, who is the owner with the white hair and fake teeth, was very rude and disrespectful. I was told by him personally that my bike wasnt worth $20. He didnt care to want my business and wanted me to leave his store. I strongly recommend not going there.
