Food that will take you back to the 50s and 60s as well as the atmosphere. Very pleasant and friendly staff. I missed taking a picture of my burger and fries because it was that good! I will come back just for dessert!

This used to be City Diner but it is just as it used to be! The food is great & service was as well. The nostalgia of the place is just so nice & inviting.

Clean place. Great service. Delicious food! We came for breakfast and even the kids cleaned their plates. Even the coffee was good. Definitely coming back whenever were in town.

Prompt service, great atmosphere. Onion rings were awesome, salad was tasty. 16oz T bone, medium rare was simply perfect, rice, mixed vegetables and saute onions and mushrooms .....Outstanding.! Wife and I had a wonderful dinning experience. Our server Joseph was tops and definitely responsible for our great experience tonight.

We went here after being ignored at Fajitaville because it is walking distance from the Best Western and we were very VERY pleased with the service. The wait staff is very friendly and even let us move our seating to be more comfortable. The retro decor was nice and could use a little brightening but by no means was run down. The food was presented well and very tasty. The next time we are in Corpus Christi we plan on returning.The Mesquite Grilled Shrimp was awesome and so was the Fried Shrimp.

Excellent food served up by nice attentive staff... we were waited on by the owners sister who was a lovely person, very personable. another staff member brought our child crayons... and to top it off the food was excellent. we will def return...

It doesnt look like much from outside but looks can be deceiving. A little pricey, but the food was worth it. Far outweighs the place on the pier we visited last night. They do have an unwritten kids menu, so you have to ask. Service was friendly and prompt. No wait on a week night.

If you want to pay for a 5 star meal and get treated like youre worthless come to this restaurant. There were at least 10 workers and 2 parties total going to eat it took an hour for everyone to get their food mind you the last persons steak was extremely bloody. So we had to wait even longer so they can redo the steak. Ive never in my life had tilapia that was soggy. You would be better off giving your $80 dollars to someone in need not a business that is going to rob and beat you out of your hard earned money. Not to mention the food was extremely horrible.

The restaurant is really cute and they boast the best seafood in town. That statement is far from the truth. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they are let down by the food quality. My father and I both tried the seafood platter and all of it was bland and tasteless. Was that really an oyster? I couldnt tell. My mother tried the ABC (alvacado, bacon, chicken) sandwich and it, too, was bland and dry. There wasnt even a condiment on the sandwich. All of the food was desperately in need of seasoning. It was all well cooked, but just bland. Three lunch meals totalled over $50. So bland food and high price for lunch. I will not be returning :(

We came early evening on a slow night, so there were few patrons. We ordered the chicken fried steak, and we were pleasantly surprised. If you want a good one, try it. The cream gravy appeared to be from scratch and had a tint to it. Soup and salad were good. Our waiter was pretty good, although he forgot to bring the bread he promised when he first visited us. The only slightly negative thing we would say is the maitre d/host hovered a bit much. We got the impression they were a bit overpriced, but well try them again and see whether the more expensive menu items are worthy.

The food was delicious, the service was great, and the ambiance was to die for. It was our sons and my own birthday and we wanted to eat sea food. Couldnt have made a better choice.

The service is alright, but watch out when ordering meat. I ordered the surf and turf and my steak was completely raw. It was hard to tell at first because the steak had obviously been frozen for a long time which made the inside appear cooked. The staff was friendly and the manager gave me a discount for the undercooked meat, but i doubt I will return there again.

We stopped in after driving down from Victoria show at Selena auditorium on a Weds evening. The Diner was clean and service was spot on and the Hostess informed us they served breakfast all day long, that should have been a cue to leave, but since we had been on the road for an hour and a half and only had a half hour to get some grub we stayed to order. Our food arrived and boy were we disappointed. The Chicken Fried steak had potential but was defiled with too much salty garlic and the baked potato was cold, My wifes Philly Cheesteak bore no resemblance to any that I have had and has a quite odd taste and was made of something that resembled hamburger? So we both ate a little, left a decent tip and left hungry. Soooooo sad, this place had it all at one time GOOD FOOD GOOD LOCATION GOOD PRICES GOOD SERVICE. Now its 3 out of 4. And I still owe my wife dinner

We walked in restaurant and staff greeted us with a smile...was seated very quickly and food was great ! Children menu available is always a plus for our family and of course a adult beverage for us adults :) our over all experience was great and could not have picked a better place to eat .Its always a challenge to pick a good place when your out of towners.

Me and my friends had lunch here if your looking for seafood your better off going to boat n net at least they are cheaperand taste better we will not be returning

Service was alright, food was not good at all. My girlfriend got the T bone steak the meat was so tuff she couldnt cut it. I got liver and onions, liver was not good. My son got the chicken Parmesan sandwich and he liked it. But I wouldnt recommend it to anyone, I wont be going back!!!!

The food was awesome the wait staff was wonderful and there was so much food we had to get to go boxes.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this place so this week we finally got time off and ate here. I dont recommend it to anyone. While the server was nice our food came out way too quick we were still working on the semi-cold jalapeño popper appetizers when he brought out my wifes salad and then when he set the salad down he said your meals are coming out right now right.. if i wanted fast food i would have to a fast food restaurant. We were there a total of 20 mins. I think our food was heated in the microwave. So she ate the salad quickly and then our food was here. She ordered the ABC sandwich (avacado bacon and chicken) and I ordered the Philly Cheese steak. Hers was a lunch special and was to come with a sandwich soup or salad and rolls. When she told the waiter she wanted a house salad with ranch he told her the manager didnt allow that but hed do it this time only. She told it its literally written on your menu that it comes with a salad? And the waiter said yes the manager doesnt like that. Wait what? The chicken and philly meat were both DRY. She couldnt even choke down 1/4 of the sandwich. We took it home only to feed it to the dog so that it wasnt a complete waste of money.

Overall my experience was not great. They where a little understaffed so it took them a while to get food and drink orders in, which I can understand, but our waitress did nothing to make the situation better and the hostess was the one who ended up putting in our food order when she noticed that we had not been waited on in over 20 min. I ordered a New York Strip (medium) and my girlfriend had the shrimp parmesan. My steak wasnt great. It was overcooked and bland. My girlfriends shrimp parmesan was pretty good though, it had good flavor and was a very good portion size. The sides on the other hand were teribble. The restaurant definitely uses frozen vegetables and frozen french fries and the salad is just a few leafs of lettuce and some crotons thrown in a bowl. I will not be returning there a plenty of other good seafood and steak restaurant just down the road.

Prompt service....food fresh....waitstaff so so.

Had a party of 11 between 2 families. They took the order at one time but brought out food in sets of 2 or 3 plates at a time about 10 or 15 mins apart so most of us didnt eat together and it made for a long wait. The bad part was they werent even busy at all and the food was just alright. I wouldnt recommend.
