My favorite little hidden gem. Gyro plate changed my life. There Greek salad with green goddess dressing on top is life. It comes free with a gyro plate. Cant go wrong with the special of the day. My girl loves there deserts. There bread is so delicious. Humus is π₯there rice is addictive. Everything is top notch. I love it .
Visited them today. I have forgotten to put a mask on. There was only one person shopping inside, and one person in mask and another without mask talking to a cashier. I was told to put the mask on next time I come to shop. I asked why the guy who he was talking to was without mask. The answer was: He is the owner. Am I not understanding something here? (P.S. I have had two shots of vaccine and a booster) Sorry, havent noticed the sign on the door. Is it for everybody, or there are special people here? 10/29/21 My comment on the owners answer. The circumstances can be different, but you have to understand how it looks and sounds for the customers: seeing personnel without mask with requirement to wear it for all others. Im not against wearing a mask. In addition, I wasnt stopped when I was entering the store, but only when I was already paying at the cashiers desk. Epidemiological regulations either for everybody, or what is the sense of having them
The meat was super hot and I usually eat very spicy and hit foods. Also we ate without the tortilla that comes with it. When we asked if we could have our tortillas it was very hard and cold. I dont plan eating there again.
Very awesome little market. Not bad prices. I definitely will come back for my spices and grape leaves for sure. I just wish they carried pita bread in the store along with lemon juice. But definitely thumbs up from me. Nice guys. Nice experience.
First off, let me say I loved coming here for their products and pricing. Its the customer service thats lacking. The guy behind the counter has never been friendly but has now been swallowed up by the hysteria of the masks. What makes it worse is the hypocrisy. He refused service to a non- masking customer while you clearly see a fellow employee not wearing a mask. My wife and I will not be shopping here again.
Been here before for their traditional Gyro and thought it was pretty good. Today I was disappointed. The meat portion was very dry and bland. After slicing the meat off the vertical rotisserie, the cook put it on the flat top griddle and I dont understand why. Isnt it kept warm on the rotisserie? The pita was way too thick, and not very soft. Then to top it off there was way too many onions which overwhelmed the taste.
I bought Baklava and it was not as it should have been. Too much oil and not enough honey.
Since everyone has a different preference on hummus, this ones flavor is mildly tangy.
Dropped by for a to-go lunch. I ordered the Gyro plate and was not disappointed. The meats were perfectly cooked! Crispy on the outside but tender in the middle, and seasoned to perfection. The portion was very generous for $9.99 (Greek salad included). The pita wasnt the best Ive ever had, but wasnt bad either. The Tzatziki sauce was very fresh and had a great taste. The salad was remarkably fresh and had some of the best olives Ive ever had in it. Highly recommend the Gyro plate.
Good food! Reminds me of when i was deployed to the middle east.
This is about the grocery market. Nice collection of ethnic food items. I always visit this store when ever I come to CC. The person behind the counter (cashier) can improve his customer service a little bit. Sometimes it feels like rough..
Love this place! The food is always hot and delish! Iβve tried several Mediterranean restaurants in CC and this is by far the best!
Awesome food, and their burgers are the best!!
Great food selection, I love the Gyro specially. Good place to shop for middle eastern / International bgroceries
Best Gyro. The pita, sauce and meat were very good. The customer service was super friendly and service was quick and fresh.
So my wife is Iraqi, so I may be jaded by good middle eastern food, but my wife got the beef kabob and I got a special of spicy butter chicken. I know, butter chicken is Indian, but I love butter chicken and love spicy food. Unfortunately, it was nearly devoid of flavor, color, and not in the least spicy. It tasted like poor day old chicken casserole, but fortunately my kids liked it and I got to eat their kabob which was decent. The bread not home made (kinda easy to do so its a shame) and the price wasnt very good. I HATE writing bad reviews, but this place was not a good representation of well seasoned Lebanese food.
Normally this is the best place. This trip wasnt what I was used to.. The meat was a little over cooked and the tomato was less than delicious looking but the taste was great!
Absotively delicious lamb gyro. Top block. If you like real gyro, this is it. Also good samosas.
Good selection, brought back memories
Differently selections of mediterranean and arabic delicacys.
A lil pricy but ok.
The food is always good
Glad to find this cool store in Corpus
I like it here always quality food & service. Nothing but great experiences here. Prices are appropriate for the quality.
This is the best place to shop if you are vegan or on a plant based diet. I buy most of my spices, lentil varieties, grains, and garbanzo snacks there. I use their baking dates instead of expensive whole ones in baking and as a sweetener. I would have given 5 stars but they didnt have the variety of roasted garbanzo bean snacks that I have come to expect.
Love the food. Mask required, sanitizer available. Contactless service. Great Indian food.
Absolute best gyros! Have been eating there since 2006. Not once has it disappointed and always excellent service
I ordered from them through Favor. My order chicken was raw and the salad had a hair. Never ordering from them again.
Great market with huge selection of Middle Eastern spices and foods. Great prices too, 8oz containers for about the price of the regular 3oz bottles you get at the big grocery stores.
Great spot to pick the middle Eastern products.. Saves me long trips to San Antonio and Houston...wishing you all the success
Horrible customer service
Great place to buy spices international foods and cheese. Very nice people run the place!
Ive been a couple of times. Thys time I was over charged by $7.25 he was very nice about it when I went back for my money. Last time it was all in one store now the market deli and restaurant are seperate.
I really like the new way they serve the Gyero.
Perfect place for dates and other Middle Eastern fare.
Great tapas-like options, and plenty for vegetarians. Pretty fast (next door is a pretty good store with fresh breads & packaged foods if theres a crowd who got there just in front of you). On the SIDE of the mall not the front.
Ive been coming here for years they never disappoint
The beef shawarma is what its supposed to be.
Its a simple convenient store.
I go here for my feta cheese and middle eastern spices. There are also spices and spice pastes used in Indian cuisine. The Bulgarian feta cheese is the best. I have also bought phyllo pastry which they have in different sizes and weight.
Best baklava in town! Very kind hearted service!
Have eaten here twice, and every time I always leave full, happy, and satisfied. There food always taste fresh, healthy, and clean. My most favorite food is the lamb that they cut for the shawarma plate and the gyro. There sweat tea is amazing. If you are ever in the area its the best for lunch or dinner. Its a must try!!
Low quality and not sanitary. The owner wasnβt wearing gloves while making gyro sandwichThe food didnβt taste good at all4/2020: response to owners comment about me being from Sufi restaurant. If you had any decency left, you would have come back in professional way and offered to make it up for a concerned customer. Not looking for free meal at all!! Just a response how you will improve your service. I guess they donβt teach decency, respect and honesty in Lebanon. Grow up and accept that you have lost to better quality restaurants. Stop serving canned hummus, baba ganouj, boxed gyro and buy some gloves. Most important is to leave that arrogant attitude and backhome habits behind as there is no room for that in this beautiful country. People of your own community in Corpus donβt trust and dine in at your restaurant. They know your fake!
Beats me, never been there.
Great variety π
Very rude cashier tonight. Kept us waiting outside for 15mins and still felt I had no right to be upset for waiting. When confronted, told me the world doesnt revolve around me nd I should not come back. Trust me no African is coming back there, I will tell them about it in the meeting.
Best gyros in town, best baklava, baba ganoush, etc. Plus all kinds of spices and hard to find ingredients for cooking. Hope this place never closes.
BEST GYROS IN TOWNβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Very friendly & patient staff. We go in as a group usually on Friday and its very busy but the staff does good. The food is tasty!
Good service
Great place!
Lots of variety and difficult to find foods.
A great market to find specialty middle east spices and in bulk. Great prices too.
Well, letβs start from beginning. First, we were waiting on the line, as usual, the customers front us, they ordered too many foods which is completely ok. But, server guys, basically cared about them because their order was expensive than orders, and just completing of the order took 20 minutes. If you wouldnβt not order about 50$ they will act to you like you will eat for free
Amazing food. My favorite place to eat. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Awesome customer service and great food! Love this place.
Ok, they called it Kema Curry. Served with rice or bread. I like the rice here so that was my choice. The curry would be right at home at a no bean chili contest.
This place is awesome! Loved the restaurant! Try the Shawarma and Baklava!! Dont be afraid to try something new. :)
The owner wasnt very social or welcoming. The falafel was over cooked and the gyro was cut thick like chunks, not the way it should be served. The lady who waited on me was a sweetheart and the cashier in the market was helpful. If you know what middle eastern food should be like you will be disappointed going here. The whole falafel plate went to waist.
The food was great and it wasnt too pricey. Will definitely be returning to try some more of their menu items!
Great place to shop and eat at.
This is incredible!! Great products! Fresh food and smiling face! Thank you store workers and Mitch :)
The owners of this franchise do not have any etiquettes/manners. They do not even smile or greet you when you enter their store. Regarding the deli, I ordered a shawarma and they did not even offer the garlic sauce with it. I had to ask for it and they charged me a dollar just for an extra little piece of garlic sauce. The owner is greedy !
Great store for middle eastern foods. The personnel are friendly and helpful.
Best gyros around
Great food and friendly service, owner custom orders depending on availability .. Recommend to anyone new into town or trying to find Halal items
Been east coast, west coast and up north texas and northern U.S. and hate corpus cause its lack of culture. More so its lack of wanting to accept other foods from different cultures. Iam happy thats slowly changing.
Great store
Good selection of products.
The owners of this franchise do not have any etiquettes/manners. They do not even smile or greet you when you enter their store. Regarding the deli, I ordered a shawarma and they did not even offer the garlic sauce with it. I had to ask for it and they charged me a dollar just for an extra little itty bitty piece of garlic sauce. The owner is greedy !
Good enough to go back
It was good
Great prices and great food!
This is a wonderful place for real honest to god middle eastern fare.
Very warm and Friendly
Came in for a cup of ice that was 25 cents and got charged 1.25 because it put faucet water in it. Im confused on how 12 oz. of faucet water just cost me 1.50? Smh.. Ridiculous.
Good food and friendly staff
Superb gyros, a very simple restaurant but the food was great
Very good quality foods and available to find and cheap
Need more
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE gyro place in town!- Its now 3 years since those words and theyre still true!
Love this place!
Gyros with a red chilli sauce
